The place had all the comforts we needed, and the owner, Kevin, is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He doesn’t treat you like a customer, but like a guest in his own home. - megumi (10/5): 繁華街へのアクセスよく、我が家のように使える落ち着くステイ先 - 四条河原町や清水寺が徒歩圏内で、繁華街へのアクセス抜群！ものすごく近いわけではないけどぶらぶらしながら散策するには十分行ける(1㎞ちょっと)！ 新緑と木漏れ日が揺れる川のほとりで、静かな場所にあるので、拠点にするには最高です。宿の前は一方通行で交通量はかなり少ない通りなのですごく静かで良かったです。 隣の部屋の音などは全く聞こえなかったので、一階には一部屋しかないのかな？と思います。上の階の音も全くしませんでした。 宿主さんがとっても良い方で、安心して、気持ちよく泊まることができました。ありがとうございました！ 徒歩1分ほどのところにサウナの梅湯があり、6時〜26時まで営業していたので朝も夜もそちらに入りました。銭湯好きには最高です！部屋のお風呂は使いませんでしたが、バストイレ別で広く、清潔そうでした。 チェックインはパスワードキーなので予定より早い時間から入ることができ、部屋にキャリーケースを置くことができたのも大変ありがたかったです。 逆にチェックアウト後も宿にキャリーケースを置かせてもらえて、手ぶらで散策できたのでとっても便利でした。宿主さんに、「置いても良いですか？」とお願いしたところ、「もちろん！ご自由に使ってください！」と笑顔で返してくださり、すごく安心しました。良い人…！ また、500mlのミネラルウォーターが玄関のところに段ボールでぼんっと、テイクフリーで置いてあり、暑い季節にはとてもありがたかったです。 使ってはいませんが、玄関のところに電子レンジやインスタントコーヒーなども置かれていて色々至れり尽くせりでした。 使用した部屋が一階で、玄関すぐ横の部屋だったので、夜間の出入りの施錠音は気になりました。泊まっているのも外国人のお客さんばかりだったので、部屋のすぐ外の廊下で話されると夜は話し声が気になりました。でも10分ほどで静かになったので、安心して眠れて良かったです。

Está situado entre la estación de tren y el centro por lo que puedes ir andando a los dos sitios. El barrio es precioso. Kevin ha sido muy atento, amable, es alguien con quien puedes contar para cualquier cosa que se necesite.

- Oleg (4/5): A ground-floor "room with the garden view" was a big disappointment. - The canal near the hotel was nice. The location is a walking distance to Kyoto station. The room was clean. The bathroom was big. The communication with the hotel management by Whatsapp was efficient and helpful. Our room was near the hotel entrance door and the hotel foyer. The noise from guests entering/exiting the hotel as well as all the noises from the people using the foyer facilities went directly and loudly into the room. Because of all the noise we had rather sleepless nights. (( The advertised "garden view" was actually a city street view: you can look at the street (with a smallish garden near the hotel entrance) and the street can look at you. ) During our 3-night stay we did not see the hotel stuff at all. The front desk was absolutely unattended (and utterly cluttered with household stuff). The neighborhood is kinda tourist-tailormade: there are many small hotels and guest houses, not many good restaurants, many tourists, not many locals.

Közel a kyotói vonatállomáshoz (sétatávra) illetve könnyen megközelíthetők a szállástól a belvárosi részek és egyes nevezetességek is. A közelben van reggelizőhely, bolt és mosoda is. A szállás tiszta volt és kényelmes, Hiro nagyon kedves házigazda, szívből ajánlom. -

Its undeniable advantage is the location — close to both the subway station and the train station. You can go for a stroll through the shopping districts, or you can walk to Guillaume fairly quickly. This year, we saw the renovated canal promenade, which definitely adds an extra pleasant atmosphere to the street. On the first floor, Kevin's place has everything you need. Kevin is a responsive and friendly host. He is definitely an extra bonus for this place.

- Julia (10/5): Wunderschönes Guesthouse am Kanal in Kyoto - Wir waren während unseres Japanurlaubs sogar zwei Mal bei Kevin im Hatsune Guesthouse. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich wunderschön an einem kleinen Kanal mit Kirschbäumen und Blumen gelegen, die Gegend ist einerseits ruhig, andererseits zentral und es gibt viele stylische Cafés mit Röstereien, Bars, eine Craft Beer Brauerei und kleine Restaurants. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, mit einem bequemen Bett und sogar einem kleinen Sento im Bad, den wir gerne genutzt haben. Es gab sogar Kevin stand uns schon im Vorfeld und auch während unseres Aufenthaltes mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und hat uns am letzten Morgen sogar zum Bahnhof gefahren. Uns hat es wirklich super gut gefallen und wir kommen eines Tages bestimmt zurück ins Hatsune Guesthouse und ins schöne Kyoto. Unsere Abreise

It is nicely located by the canal and in a very quiet area, while being convenient for walking and visiting. Our host was very helpful and shared with us plenty of recommendations, including live messages on where to see cherry blossom around the city when he found some 😊🌸 We could have stayed much longer than 2 nights happily! Nothing, all good.

I love the terraces in my room. I don’t like how the shower room is like a box, there is literally no space in there to put your clothes so you can only get dressed when you leave the shower room.

Bathroom shower/bathtub is made from wood and it was mostly dark from the mold. The smell of it was so intense I did not use the shower the one night I was there.

- Adam (9/5): - This property was so beautiful right next to the stream. It was such a privilege walking from and to it daily. The neighborhood was quiet at night and during the day there were families and kids playing. It was like having a home in Kyoto and I can't stress enough how far that goes while traveling. Mr. Ma was super nice and accommodating. So many services are provided on the property. The room was clean and warm. It was a good size for Japanese standards. I think I forgot that there is a private onsen attached to the room because we were surprised to see it. We used that every night and it was amazing after a full day of walking. All this at what I think is an exceptional price. We would definitely stay again and I would insist to anyone I know that they consider this place if planning on visiting Kyoto. Nothing, it was great.

A lovely clean space and we especially loved the balcony for coffee and breakfast.The location was perfect , quiet and an easy walk to shops and restaurants . We would definitely recommend it! - Rocco (10/5): Hatsune exceeded my expectations. Next time I visit Kyoto, I will definitely check for openings. - My partner and I booked Hatsune last-minute due to a change in plans, and we couldn't have found a better place. The location is in our favorite neighborhood which is just a joy to walk around and close to major areas like Kiyomizu and Kyoto Station. It's a also just a short walk to Higashi Honganji Temple, and the original Nintendo office (now a hotel, but still fun to walk by and see). But the best thing about this property was the host, Kevin! He was quick to respond, polite, and very helpful when we needed some guidance on navigating. He made us feel extremely welcomed, and keeps his property fully stocked and comfortable to stay in. Highly recommend. The only thing I can even think of is that the toilet is very close to the wall. It was tough to navigate the tiny bathroom as an adult male, but this is no fault of the property and just how things can be sometimes!

- Aysha (8/5): Peaceful stay in Kyoto - Such a nice spot by the canal, quiet in the evening too. About 15 minutes walk from Kyoto station and there are some great spots in the area for coffee and breakfast. Teas, water and other amenities at the entrance so then you can just take what you need for the day. I had enough space in the room and the bed was comfortable. Plus it was ok to leave luggage in storage space for a few hours when I checked out. To be clear, everything was clean. However, the sink is more of a kitchen sink as next to the stovetop. I would remove the plug while brushing my teeth and found the drain was not particularly clean.
- myounghee (9/5): - 조용한 위치에 깨끗한 숙박시설이었어요 교토역과도 꽤 가깝고 청수사와도 그리 멀지않아 걷기 좋아하는 우리는 나름 좋았딥니다 일본식 숙소를 체험할 수도 있고 또 숙소에서 원하는 재료를 가지고 간단한 식사도 해결할 수 있는것도 좋았어요 교토에 다시 온다면 재방문 의사 있습니다 거실에 거울이 준비되어 있다면 정말 더할나위없이 좋겠습니다

- Petra Nóra (10/5): Good vibes - Good neighborhood, relatively close to Kyoto station. The hotel was nice and clean, the room as well. Quite a big bathroom, enough space for two big luggages. We had a western style room and we liked it very much.
