• Veena Sakunthala (6/5): A great location to stay but if you need WiFi I think you need to look for better options - The location was pretty good and it was very neat and clean with much needed privacy with roof bed concept which was pretty good The WiFi was so bad in the room with so many doors, you have literally zero WiFi signal on the 2nd floor so it was a very uncomfortable situation sitting on a roof bed with zero WiFi and getting up and down (zero elevator) to grab the WiFi signal. They need some solid WiFi repeaters to fix the issue at least on the 2nd floor. Even common areas (without air con) struggle for WiFi speed.

Geen waterkoker of heet water. Beetje muf, in badkamer lichte schimmel op plafond. Maar dit is lastig te voorkomen, ramen blijven dicht vanwege hitte en airco staat aan. Vond het niet storend.

• Mark (6/5): - Friendly welcome and cheerful reception staff throughout. Comfortable bed, powerful, hot shower, AC cooled room swiftly (I'd suggest carefully covering the display though as it's quite bright at night. Rm 105 has a serious smell issue, whether from damp, the smelly bathroom mat, both of those or something else... I can't say. But it stank - staff offered to spray the room as there was no alternative except cancelling, but adding another powerful smell to the one already there isn't ideal so I declined. It was 6pm and I'd chosen Kooning for location, so finding another place was impractical. This impacted the scores in three areas, which is a shame as the room was otherwise perfect for my needs and well priced.
• Munchupa (9/5): - The location is so good!!! They upgraded the room for me. All of the must-visit places are near the hotel. The bed is comfy and the water pressure is high. The AC and the bed are the same level. I’m a light sleeper so it’s a little bit hard for me to fall asleep because of the AC light
• Markus (8/5): - Minimalistisch, Loft-Style, modern. Für ein Hostel recht modern und auch sehr sauber. Ich fand es für ein paar Nächte sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Lage ist unschlagbar! Man hört nichts, ist aber in 3 Minuten mitten im Leben! Etwas lustloser junger Mann an der Rezeption als ich angereist bin. Vielleicht stellt auch sonst niemand Fragen und erkundigt sich nach der Umgebung ;-) Bad ist OK, hat aber schon bessere Tage erlebt. Mit wenig Aufwand ließe sich das beheben.

• Rozaidah90 (10/5): Comfy stay - Location-wise for foodies, it's surrounded by hawker stalls. Love the comfort. Because it's a bunkbed room, the floor space is suffice enough. Comfortable beds with power outlets by the bed. It's a shoplot so expect stairs assessible only. High bunkbeds.
• Gabrijela (9/5): - The lady who greeted us was kind and accomodating, we were supposed to check-in in the afternoon, but the room was already ready for us in the morning when we arrived. The location is excellent and our room was clean. It's not luxurious accommodation, but it's well worth its price - safe, clean and comfortable :) plus point - water cooler on our floor where we could fill up our bottles
• Aniza Intan (10/5): Calm and relaxing. - The whole experience, well located. Nothing. The biggest future challenge would be maintenance.. it’s actually up to both guests and operators. If we, as guests, love the hotel that we stay in, then we must also help to keep it tidy and clean.
• Jeffrey Putra (8/5): Great location, basic necessities covered, an improved version of conventional hostels. - The room is like a hybrid between a very basic room and a capsule hotel. We are grateful to have our own ensuite bathroom. The room is bare, but the few things available in the room is great. The mattress was comfortable, the ladder is sturdy. Ceiling space is quite high so it doesn't feel like a regular bunkbed. Obviously, not suitable for guests who are not comfortable with climbing up and down ladders frequently. The bathroom is sufficiently clean, hot water works, air con is cold, and Wifi works. power socket works, albeit located slightly awkwardly. Room is quiet, but most rooms don't have windows hence alarm is a necessity to keep time in the morning. Fantastic location, smack in the central of Georgetown and walking distance to many dining options and local landmarks. The room actually has sufficient space for a small furniture to help make the stay more pleasant. there is nothing in the room except for the bunk beds and 2 large drawers under the lower bed. A well-placed table, bench, or stool would have been very convenient to allow us to pack and unpack. Sourced from the right vendor, this would be an affordable improvement to really change the experience in the room. Amenities in the bathroom can also be improved. A little rug inside would make it safer as the shower is not enclosed, hence the floor is almost always wet after usage. large bottles of soap are placed on the floor, which is perfectly usable, but a little shelf with regular-sized soap bottles would have made a big difference in the showering experience.

• Azham Shah (9/5): Compact but Comfortable - Check in and check out was efficient. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Made efforts to assist as much possible. Room was compact but clean. So no desk or chair. Since it is a bunk bed feels more like a capsule hotel with private bathroom. The good part is that it is eateries and tourist areas are within walking distance. The wall is rather thin. Can hear someone from other room talking. It is hard not to worry of disturbing people in other rooms when using hairdryer early in the morning 😅 Also would be nice if there is a mug available to make hot drinks.

Everything was great. Space in my room was good for what I am looking for. Surrounded by great food places and cafes. 1. Can add extra plug pins for charging other items. 2. Hair dryer in my room is the China plug pin type. 3.Certain items can do a full fledge cleaning.
• Alison (8/5): Excellent location; functional hotel. We would definitely stay again. - Excellent location. Easy to get to see everything and accessible for buses. Lots of wonderful places to eat all around - including in the street. Room at the back of the hotel was very quiet - we slept really well. Housekeeping available on request. Great shower and large bathroom with shower gel provided. Cold, filtered water available in corridors to refill bottles. The rooms are functional and practical, not fussy - but we prefer that. Just some little niggles - but we’d definitely stay again! We initially moved rooms due to poor air conditioning. Room we moved to was better but had broken lights by the bedside which weren’t mended for the duration of our stay. Cups, saucers and hot water available but no coffee or teabags provided. No safe deposit box available. There is excellent security using cards to open doors to corridors- but the fire escape doors are left open permanently so anyone can get in at any time using the fire escape!

• Aishah (10/5): Love the Room 🩷 - The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was so nice. This is my first time booking this type of room. So small but so spacious. For 2 people it is quiet good. Overall, we love it. And will be booking again if we came to georgetown again 🥰 The big shower head is a bit broken i think, because the water sprinkles everywhere when we want to use it, so we use the small shower head instead

• Ryan (9/5): Great clean, modern and well-located accommodation - Rooms were very clean and accommodation was nicely presented. Pictures were very accurate to the standard of the accommodation. The location was amazing if you want to be in the heart of Chinatown. Short walk to little India and other main areas like the Chew Jetty. Can't think of anything.

Muy limpio, muy cómodo y el WC genial con ducha separada del WC. Además la ducha tenía mucha presión de agua. Y tenía agua caliente, además de aire acondicionado. Sin duda, muy recomendable.

• Mustaffa (9/5): Fun - The location is actually walking distance to most attractions, making it the best place if you love to walk around. But parking is hard to find. I was riding a motorcycle here, so it was fine, but if you come with your car, parking is quite difficult (but it is Penang, right). The room I stayed in has a window that opens to natural sunlight coming from an open space in the middle of the hotel. It is a nice hotel. The room was nice, but if you are not into climbing to your bed, then this is not it. Nothing much. Everything seemed to be tolerable.

• Silvia (8/5): - Le camere erano pulite e la struttura di bel aspetto… un po’ in stile nordico/scandinavo. Ottima posizione! Prezzo onesto! Letto comodo…. Siamo stati bene. Le camere sono senza finestra e un po’ piccoline ma per il prezzo proposto non ci si può lamentare. Noi avevamo il matrimoniale elevato e scendere da quella scala all inizio faceva paura ma poi ci si abitua bene.

Das Hotel ist mitten im China town, gute Restaurants und street markets nur ein paar Schritte entfernt und trotzdem ist es ruhig. Das Zimmer und auch das Badezimmer laden zum verweilen ein. Der Staff ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einfach toll hier!

• Anas (9/5): A beautiful, cozy stay with amazing staff, but the checkout experience could be improved for a smoother departure. - I liked everything about this place! The design and comfort of the property made it a great spot to relax, and the guy Bali staff were truly wonderful and helpful during my stay. They were always ready to assist with a smile and made me feel very welcome, which made my experience even better. One thing I didn’t like was that when I was late for checkout by just one hour, they shut off the lights and electricity even though I had informed them and was going to pay the extra charges. It felt a bit stressful and could have been handled in a more understanding way.
