Guest Reviews
- Alexandra (5/5): - Lage Nähe Napoli Centrale und Porta Nuova. Waschbecken kaum abgeronnen, Handtücher schmutzig, extrem unfreundliche Dame beim check-in
- Evan (1/5): Don’t stay here - Room was alright Staff service awful, still waiting on deposit return about 2 months later
- Catrinel (4/5): Disappointing - The worst communication ever.
The check in is completely self-service. Room isn't four stars.
They will also charge you a 200 euro deposit (and is hard to get back)
So better to AVOID if you haven't already booked.
- Angelica (6/5): Pleasant -
- Arabella (1/5): Horrible staff who just wanted to scam me, ridiculous that you stay in a different place from check in. It looked like a - Nothing, it looked totally different from the photos. Smelt bad and was a tiny depressing room Everything. One of the worst stays of my life
- Antonino (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anders (7/5): Good -
- Ahmed (6/5): Pleasant - It is near to stations Deposit
- Kevin (9/5): A good place to stay for access to transport for trips - Really good location for the transport hub at Garibaldi Piazza, perfect for our trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Despite the road being busy it was a peaceful flat. Extremely busy part of Naples
- Mohammed (8/5): Very good -
- Vanzan (7/5): Good -
- Craig (5/5): Passable -
- Sarah (1/5): awful and inhospital - Host did not communicate there was a deadline for check in. I had already paid for one night stay ahead of time and our flight was delayed so we got in later than expected and they almost did not let us stay and charged us 65 euro in cash (which we did not have on hand). It was hard to get them to answer the door and they did not make it clear that check in is a 10 minute drive away from the actual hotel. As well, my boyfriend had bug bites all over his body after just one night in their uncomfy beds.
- Podge (1/5): Bad -
- Thomas (1/5): truely disgusting - Bed was infested by bugs
- Kate (1/5): Comfy room but hard to find and check in miles across town - This property is not as advertised. Check in miles from room. Keys not reliable. Poorly signed See above. Not as advertised!
- Bindu (7/5): Good - We were in a good location to walk everywhere I did not realise that check-in was in one place and that the actual building with rooms was in another location. This should be made clearer before booking. More should be done to offer guests staying a taxi or a ride to the actual accommodation.
The bathroom in our room smelt terribly of sewage, and the toilet roll holder was broken.
- Debra (4/5): Disappointing - Room was clean and newly decorated The reception was a 20 minute walk from the room. Then the reception moved to 1/2 block away from there. The place was in a seedy area of town but close to shops. We needed to pay more, we made a mistake and booked for 1 instead of 2. We could only pay 100 euros cash, they wouldn't take a credit card and most of the atms were closed. It took us 2 hours of walking to finally get the money to pay, 1/2 hour before reception closed. There was no one around during the night. Then wifi wouldn't connect if you didn't have service to scan the code so you were out of luck. The beds were as hard as a rock and the air conditioner didn't work.
- Stefan (3/5): Bland boring difficult to get to & for 78euros a night!!! It was slashed from 150, I might add! - There wasnt much to like To get the keys for a hotel that was close to the main station, i had to cross over Naples, 40min walk and go back. Didnt like.
6 different keys to get in.
It was not a hotel but a room in a block
- Caroline (8/5): Beautiful and convenient hotel - After reading the negative reviews, I was expecting a terrible and disastrous room but the room was very pretty, clean and spacious. The interior decoration is modern style and it was very tidy. It is a typical small hotel, with the style you find in Naples, Rome, Paris and other similar cities, with an entrance towards an internal yard, then go though a glass lift and you find your room in a particular part of the building. It was not my first time in Naples and nearly all budget hotels in Naples are the same style. Although it is in one of the main streets in Naples, it is not noisy and it is very central, very close to the main square, main train station and Pizzeria da Michele. I was disappointed as few days before, I received a message that upon arrival they will request a deposit of Eur200 from a debit card only. This was not clear during booking. I was fighting not to pay this amount since we did not know in advance and I found it ridiculous that for one night I had to pay more than the actual rate. I thought that this was very unfair. They insisted that it was in the instructions but I had to search and search until I found the information regarding the deposit. At this point, I checked the reviews and nearly everyone passed thorugh a similar experience to mine. Also from reviews, I learnt that one will get the key from one place, then the hotel is around 15 minutes walk away. Please note that the roads and pavements are not ideal to walk with a luggage on them. I feel the need that prior booking, people should know about all this to avoid disappointments, but beyond all this hassle before arriving, the hotel was beautiful.
- Ionut (9/5): Superb - We liked everything!
- Alex (1/5): Avoid this place - One of the worst experiences I have unfortunately had staying at a hotel on booking.com . The reception is located a 20-30 min walk from the actual rooms which is practical to walk with luggage other than with a backpack.
When we got in the room, the toilet seat was broken and the air conditioning did not work properly which in the heat of the summer in Naples was extremely uncomfortable to sleep. When we contacted reception only 1 hour after arriving we could not get through via phone call or via Whats app message as suggested.
The worst part was the treatment by the receptionist called Angelica. My girlfriend had food poisoning from dinner and this combined with air conditioning not working properly meant we had a very uncomfortable sleep. We overslept past the checkout time by 15 mins and were woken by a loud banging on the door. We were then informed that as we were late past checkout time we had to pay a penalty fee of €25.
The receptionist was incredibly rude and confrontational in her language. She started threatening me that we needed to leave immediately and that she would call the police if we didn’t pay the penalty fee straight away. There was no acknowledgment of the issues we tried to raise with the property.
I have never experienced being spoken to in such an unprofessional and rude manner by hotel staff. We were hung up on twice while speaking to this receptionist after being threatened and when we asked to speak to her manager we were told that they have no manager because he was on ‘vacation’.
I would strongly advise not staying here and to not waste your money.
- Alex (3/5): Poor -
- שיר (1/5): Hurribal . And the stuff is very rude and didn’t help us at all. - Doesn’t looks like the pictures, not clean, smelly It real hard to find the place and the check in is far from the property. When you get inside it’s hard to find the room. Scary place (dark, old, dirty)
- Wrench (6/5): Pleasant - The check in location was 1.5km from the actual property!!! Very inconvenient trying to get between the 2 locations if you have luggage. Was not offered any driving service to get between the two places. You could not check in before 3pm & if you wanted to store luggage it was going to be 3 euro per bag! Would not recommend.
- Josefine (7/5): Good - Air Conditioner in the room There was a bad smell coming out of the sink in the bathroom.
- Pao_sev (1/5): I paid and they didn't let me sleep there! Lost the money and had to pay for a second place - I did pay for the room but they didn't let me stay since I don't own a credit card, really a joke! They CHARGED me for the room and DIDN'T GIVE ME THE KEYS! I had to pay for a second accommodation and LOST the MONEY. They said without a credit card you cant stay since they can take 200 EUROS DEPOSIT. Stay away!
On top of that they are rude!
- Damiano (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolò (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruno (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gokay (6/5): the check in staff is intolerant to Guets. they expect you to understand them despite their strong Italian accentZ - The hotel and check in are totally in different places.
Not comfortable to walk. I was given 5 different keys to open different doors. Annoying to deal with such hassle. they took 4 euros to keep my luggage for a few hours which is applied for free of charge in other places I started in Italy.
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dziadkowiak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorenzo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): Simple, functional stay in a secure location with helpful staff. - functional accommodation in a good location for
the transport/train. There was a good level of security and gates to get through!
Due to a train fault I was 6hrs delayed. the staff were very helpful in arranging a late check-in and provided great communication. although the staff arranged a late check-in this cost an extra €65 and there was no one there, so shouldn’t have been an extra charge of so much. Especially as it was a National train issue and was all over the news.
- Monica (7/5): Good -
- Loizos (8/5): Very good -
- Fuad (1/5): Worst experience I’ve had at a hotel and with booking. They ruined my day in Napels. - The location of the room, Has AC - The fact the reception is 15minutes away from the room, you have to walk there and back and there is no transportation.
- The toilet smelled.
- The bed was not very clean (hair and stains) it’s also not comfortable (Cheap memory foam)
- Walls between rooms very thin you feel like you’re in the same room as the neighbours if they speak, which makes it hard to sleep if they are talking.
- They insisted city tax to be paid in cash and made me go to a cash point that charged me to get the cash out.
- Booking didn’t make it clear at time of booking all these details, they then made it non refundable after booking was made and we were able to read terms and conditions.
- Michele (4/5): Room was quite basic, with scarce lighting and no frills whatsoever, location ok - No breakfast offered quite impersonal, lukewarm reception
