- martina (9/5): - Struttura molto accogliente con personale super disponibile. Molto pulita e camere grandi e fresche.
- Cecilia (8/5): Worth it, I could come back - Close to the main square. Very helpful staff. Garden with a swimming pool where you can relax.
- Leon (7/5): Fijn. - De locatie is prettig en de kamerservice was fijn. Goede airco.
- Phillip (10/5): -
- Louise (10/5): Tres tres bien !
- Borresen (8/5): -
- Elisa (9/5): - Det var hyggeligt og fint. Store familieværelser. Centralt i Valladolid.
- Anastasia (9/5): - Overall We enjoyed our stay at Casa Hipil Two things. One is ,I guess important for anyone: the beds mattresses feel old and not that comfy. And the most disturbing thing was the squeak noise that it produces when you move, even a bit.
Second is more like an unlucky situation - that happened to us exceptionally (I hope so, that no one will experience that).
We booked the room three weeks ahead. And unfortunately our plans changed after we booked it. I needed to change dates in the reservation (move it one day earlier), sent requests via booking, email, etc - nothing. Even a week before actual check-in - no news. Closer to the check in day, I decided not to risk and booked the same room again, but for one night (the day earlier than original check in.), I was genuinely hoping that the hotel reservation departure will see this and at least send me a message - but No. Ok, I was still hoping that we will figure it out during check in. But when we came there we were so tired, and I didn't have the strength to prove everything. So I only explained the situation with bookings, sad that I hope it's possible to do something with an extra reservation as obviously we don't need the second room. I even got the answer from the reception that they actually had some sort of email issues and that's why they didn't see any of my requests or messages!
But the next day, they anyway charged me for the room. I mean it's not completely their fault, but at the same time - it wouldn't happen like that, if they saw my messages. Which I sent a long time before checking in date. So, I had this a bit bitter aftertaste, even though everything else was fine.
I worked in the hotel in my past, as part of the Front office team. And I know that if it's impossible to make a money return we would try to provide some extra services or so. So, maybe because of that I had some expectations and hopes.
Anyway the hotel is fine.
- Gudauske (7/5): Good for the price - A great place close to the city center, as well as cafés and shops! I have no complaints.
- RICHARD (5/5): - Bien situé par rapport à la ville L isolation acoustique chambre côté rue
- Camille (6/5): -
Genuint!
- Tina (8/5): -
- Marlies (8/5): - Great location, clean rooms, hot water The breakfast isn’t that amazing. It’s provided by a nearby hotel and has almost no choice.
- Ross (3/5): -

- Lipson (10/5): - The room was very nice, and the staff, especially one of the concierges named Johan, was extremely helpful and kind!
- Mathilde (6/5): -
- Tina (8/5): Lovely little hotel in Valladolid, very close to the centre - Great location, family room was great for our family of four, as it has two showers and toilets! Nice to have access to a small kitchen as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The unpleasant smell in the courtyard, and there was construction happening next door (December 2025) that started at 7:45 am and lasted much of the day.
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - Everything was great The only downside was that the patio area had a strong smell of dog poop, which was pretty unpleasant.
- Magaly (10/5): the perfect getaway!
- Nadine (1/5): Charged me twice and refuse to give my money back!! - The hotel charged twice for my stay and they refuse to give me the money back. During our stay they always said they need to talk to the manager first, but they promised me that we get the money back. After we left we were in contact on whatsapp, but after a while they just ignored me. They read my messages, but no respond anymore and they are not picking up the phone as well!!!
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Nice place to stay - Nice quaint setting with a small pool and friendly staff Breakfast was a little disappointing where you had to go as it was at another hotel
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Christoph (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - Amazing place The ac was very loud and the music played the whole night . The staff was very nice about it .we upgraded to a family room
- Ione (8/5): Very good - We really loved this place, quiet and peaceful with a colourful cute garden (with a little plunge pool) where we could take a break from the noise of the city. They have a microwave and coffee machine and lovely dining area. We booked because it said it had a kitchen and we were looking forward to cooking but when we got there the hobs weren't working so there was no way of cooking our own food, which was really disappointing.
- Traveler (9/5): Nice moderate hotel near to the main city center - Good location, nice small property with just a few other guests, and very attentive staff. They allow guests to access facilities with sister property next door which is nice and useful as that is whee the main pool and Restaurant are located. It still takes a good couple of minutes to walk to the city's main attractions and the neihgboir houses next to the hotel make some loud noise at night and have some fowl odors from dogs in the backyard.
- Elena (10/5): I would really recommend. Old historical but beautiful and comfortable. - Location perfect. We lived at Aurora hotel. The receptionist asked us if we wanted to live there. The breakfast is in this hotel even if you live at Casa Hipil. It is just around the corner.
Staff is very friendly. Breakfast area is on the rooftop. Good food.
Room was clean. The hotel is a historical one. Loved it so much. 7 minutes walking to everything.
- Sara (7/5): Good location, spacious room. - It was a modest room but clean; we had a lot of space in our room. The location was good and the personnel was very friendly No air conditioning in the bathroom, we booked for two adults + 3 kids, and we only had one king-size bed and one bunk bed (4 beds in total)
- Patricia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jasmine (9/5): Superb - Prefect for our couple nights stay, quiet room with view of the pool! Harder to find as ‘hidden in plain sight’ with not too much signage, we did arrive in heavy rain storm!
- Ann (7/5): Good - Great location, simple yet clean and comfortable very good value.
- Fanny (7/5): Good - It was very central location, walkable to the city centre. One of the shower didn’t work. We didn’t have towels and had to ask for it.
The room door wasn’t easy solid - not very safe and confortable to know that anyone could get in easily.
- Mattia (7/5): Great location but noisy during the night - Location is great, next to the center.
Our room was clean and in general quite ok.
There is a big common kitchen which is very useful. Very noisy at night, we could hear all the cars from the streets outside, and also the people from next room.
In general Valladolid is a noisy city, it’s hard to avoid it unless you decide to stay far from the center or spend loads of money in a luxury hotel.
- Anaely (7/5): Disappointed. - The rooms were clean and comfortable beds, and the location was really good. There was no water at the during the first hours of our stay. It is awful to arrive and not being able to take a shower. When the water finally returned no one informed us. There was no water pressure in the shower. We decided to leave the hotel 1 night before our check out date.
- Rushvin (7/5): Good value for money but a few things to improve. - Ideally located - a short distance from the centre. Beds were comfy and room was spacious. We had a nice small cosy swimming pool outside as well. Staff were kind and helpful. The shower gel was almost empty when we arrived and not refilled at all on the second day of cleaning. We had to request for it being refilled. The hair drier was not working. The hotel staff knew about it as when we called them they already had the hair drier in hand before we asked for it. Could have been left in the room rather than having a defect one. Kitchen utensils (for cooking) were oldish and could ve replaced.
- Montri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (7/5): Good -
- Aurore (9/5): Superb - Very beautiful space, amazing room for a family. The bathroom could have a been a little more functioning, the hair dryer was broken and could not use the two showers at the same time.
- Karin (9/5): Superb -
- Violeta (8/5): Good location as start basis to visit cenotes and Chichen itza - It was very hot in Valladolid so we really appreciated the airconditioning in the room. We had the standard room, located just on the corridor in front of the reception. That was a bit funny because if you opened the door, you could see the bed. The room does not have any windows but that was mentioned in the room description. For the rest, the room is basic but sufficient for our stay there. The staff is very kind and helpful. There is a common kitchen we made use of to have our breakfast in the morning. There is also a fridge the guests can use which is very nice. Tea, coffee and drinking water is free available for the guests, which is nice. The toilet didn't function properly. Water kept flowing if you didn't open the top of the water tank and pulled the floating device. It wasn't a big issue for us but maybe good to have that fixed.
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful place to stay in centre of Valladolid. Would highly recommend. - Beautiful place to stay, great location in fabulous Valladolid - quiet but close to the centre, lovely dipping pool and able to swim in Hotel Aurora too…very friendly staff, good facilities and close to lots of nice restaurants. Nothing
- Abraham (8/5): Very good - The staff was amazing. He created us well, made us feel welcomed, and provided us with recommendations. Make everything run smooth, from parking to access to the refrigerator. I would recommend to anyone stopping by Valladolid! I don’t feel strong about anything in particular. I think this was a good choice for our stay and would repeat again.
- Carolina (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful Hotel, the family room we hat was great.
Location is great.
- Smerling (10/5): perfect stay! - comfortable beds, soft sheets and towels, lovely bathroom and super nice staff. dogs barking
- Ana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stephane (9/5): Superb - It’s 2 blocks away from the main plaza and 10 mins walk to the cenote. Swimming pool is quite small but very enjoyable to get a nice chill out in the calm of the garden. Staff was young and very helpful. Breakfast is normally taken in another hotel 1 min walk and it’s really not a bother. The other hotel was packed when we were there so we took our breakfast back to our garden.
- Valentin (6/5): Pleasant - Nice atmosphere, good location in the city, convenient parking Not sure why bother listing amenities of a room on a main street that basically does not have a door… no sleeping with such noise level. Could have gotten a room with a door by upgrading 🤪
Hard to find someone at the reception desk.
- John (9/5): Superb - Location is great, short walk to centre and everywhere is walkable. Had a communal kitchen to cook in. Staff very friendly withs secure parking nearby
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (9/5): Great value, hidden gem, simple but elegabt - We had a room overlooking the pool and it was lovely. Nothing anyone could do but the dogs barking in the night meant we ended up closing the balcony doors and putting the air on on 😀
- Marcello (3/5): Not good enough - The central location - that’s about the only positive thing of this hotel We got the room changed before checking in as apparently there was leaking in the one we booked, and the staff wanted us to stay in a different (lower priced) room. We argued and ended up getting a king size room as per the booking, however the only “king” thing was the bed, which was so big you couldn’t walk around the room, as it occupied the whole space. There was no mini fridge in the room and no hair dryer, which are kind of basics for a 3 star hotel. The swimming pool doesn’t look like the pictures, it’s small and unclean. The breakfast was included but no one flagged that you had to go to a sister hotel next door to get it, and order it the day before (!). The staff were not even able to tell us how to get to Chichen Itza, which is basically what 100% of tourists do at some point when in Valladolid, they didn’t know the price of a taxi there (it’s fixed, 500 pesos for one way, surely hotel staff have this info) but they were really happy to sell us their private driver for 2,600 pesos for the day, which I found ridiculous. All in all we felt they just wanted our money, while we were asking for their recommendations.
- Stanislas (8/5): Great hotel and amazing staff! - The hotel was really good, spacious rooms, nice dipping pool and walking distance to plaza centro. What really made the difference for us was how nice and helpful the staff was. Hats off to Bianca at reception who was so nice and who pulled out all the stops to find us a mechanic when our car would not start the morning after.
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Sabine (8/5): Convenient and refreshing stay - Great location, friendly staff (helped us find dinner when we arrived late on a public holiday), had the family room on the courtyard which was lovely for swimming. Beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious with high ceilings. The kitchen area seemed nice although we did not need to use it. Great for a pit stop on our Yucatan road trip. The sliding door at the entrance is a bit difficult to open and the shower water pressure could have been better.
- Fiona (9/5): Superb - Very nice little hotel, friendly staff, clean and close to the main plaza.
- Carmen (8/5): Very good -
- Monica (10/5): Lovely place - Bianca was incredibly helpful, sweet, accommodating, and made sure to answer all of our questions. We felt genuinely taken care of by her and the other staff. The room and the hotel were exactly as pictured with so much personality that we wanted to stay longer, such a lovely place to stay. Everything was fantastic!
- Luka (8/5): Very good - Nice accommodation. Location was nice too. The breakfast they serve at the hotel next door was a huge disappointment
- Axelle (9/5): Superb -
- Łukasz (1/5): This room should not be for rent, it is a ripoff. - It doesn't matter what was right. Do NOT book room number 1 (regular 2 bed room). It should not be sold as a room in hotel. You cannot get ANY sleep because of the noise from the nearby lobby and staff does not respect night hours. The room is not soundproof at all. Constant noise all night, staff laughing, watching videos on phone with speakers on, total hell. It is a ripoff and a bait for tourists, since staff knows the problem and offers another room with additional payment, but will not do any more about it. This room should not be sold as it does not fulfil basic requirements to be called a room in a hotel. I hope that booking dot com will look into that and end this practice of selling accommodation below the lowest standard.
- Christopher (6/5): Clean comfortable room good location. - Clean and comfortable room with great value for money good location in the area. Loud music all day outside where room was located and didn’t feel very private being right beside the patio, This wouldn’t usually be a problem but unfortunately my partner was very unwell our second day at Valladolid and we were stuck in the room from early evening.
- Aduci (9/5): Superb - Right in the center with private parking. The staff was extremely helpful and the place is clean. The ground floor room right in front of the reception was extremely noise, but we coould upgrade ourselfes - 1st floor rooms are much better!
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (10/5): Perfect - I have been many times before and as usual everything was perfect, thank you !
- Sahil (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
