Staff at check in were very friendly and gave good recommendations for food. The arrival experience. We were not told that we would need to check in at a different location. We arrived to a locked door and no workers, called the number to find out we had to drive somewhere else to check in. Not fun after a long travel day

The room is beautiful and perfect for groups. The view is stunning, with a clear sight of Mount Yotei, and all the amenities are well-equipped. Highly recommended! **staffs also really nice!!

• Jonathan (7/5): Very Close to Niseko United But A Little Pricey - Proximity to Niseko United and other ski resorts. Proximity to Kutchan for restaurants was also good. A covered parking spot was provided to us which was really nice when the snow was otherwise piling up outside. The property was also less than a block away from a free shuttle to Niseko United ski resort, but this shuttle was not so easy to manage for a return trip so we just walked back. The room temperature was warm and easy to adjust. The dishes in the kitchen were plenty and complete. The ski storage room was secure, but did not dry our gear, in particular our ski boots. After wet boots the second day of skiing we brought our boots into our room to completely dry. The bathroom sink drain had a dead animal odor that wasn't too pleasant. Our room view was the Lawson convenience store and another hotel (Setsu Niseko), which wasn't terrible, but not great. The price was higher than we preferred, $310/night. Next time we will book earlier and stay further away at a cheaper property. Since we drove to other resorts around Niseko and Kutchan for dinner each night, we felt we could stay somewhere possibly cheaper between all of them next time.

• John (10/5): - I didn't really know what to expect going in. Hirafu's an expensive place to stay in January, and this was one of the more affordable options with a decent rating when I booked. I was concerned about how difficult it would be to work around the limited reception hours for day of arrival and departure, but this was not a problem at all. The front desk staff was 100% fluent in English and was very easy to deal with. I especially appreciated that they offered pickup and dropoff service from/to the bus station and for making it seamless for me to store my bags, shower, and return my rental equipment on day of departure - thanks to Daisy for facilitating everything via Whatsapp. The location was decent - about a 15-20 min walk to the gondola, but there was also a shuttle stop half a block away. The room was clean, cozy, and pleasant.

People who worked there were very polite, friendly and offered great service. Seicomart, lawson and the niseko united bus stop was just within 100-200m of walk. Very convenient for our family. All you needed in the unit was also provided. Very central at hirafu area. Will definitely recommend to others.

Spacious apartment, clean, great location, super friendly and helpful staff. You feel like home😊 There is only one thing I would wish: coffee machine. There is instant coffee available in the apartment and two shops about 2 min walk, which are selling great coffee. But when you just wake up it will be nice to make your coffee and not get dressed and walk outside in the cold to grab one. Apart from that we had a great stay at Freshwater.

The team there are really friendly and extremely helpful. The location was also a bonus. We really enjoyed our 6 night stay. It was easy to walk up to Kind Gondola for skiing or the family slopes. • Q (10/5): great location, amazing staff, so quiet - Location!!!! It was in the perfect spot so close to supermarket, food trucks, coffee, lift. The team were so kind and helpful. It was super quiet and warm and way bigger than expected. It was associated to the vale hotel so we got an onsen for reduced price. We also used niseko sports at the vale to store our gear and the vale is located at the base of the ace gondola. Super convenient. Highly recommend. I think it was a bit expensive but everything in Niseko is fairly pricey.

DO NOT USE THE CONCIERGE SERVICE to book lift tickets, ski rental equipment etc. the company that owns this property will email you to assist with booking other activities for you after you book the place. Our lift ticket code that they sent us did not work, the people at the lift could not help us because we used a third party, long story short, wasted half a day and did not ski and did not get our refund like they said they would.

• Chih-kuan (8/5): Spacious one-bed room with many western amenities and Mt. Yotei view - We had the one-bedroom apartment that is quite spacious for our family of three. The apartment is clean and with a nice view to Mt. Yotei from the living room and bed room. (try to get 4th floor and above) The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. There are also washer and dryer in the apartment. The parking include both covered and uncovered parking areas and we did not have problem getting covered parking during our 3-night stay in early April. The location of the apartment is close to the main road and is walking distance to many restaurants. It is 7-10 minutes walk to the family run lift. One of our biggest complaint is the bathroom. The shower does not have a shower door or curtain so water splashes around. The toilet clogged once and we had to call the maintenance. The ski storage room has a moldy smell. The front desk service time is limited around the check-in/out time during the winter season and was not available from 4/1.

• Nicole (8/5): All in all I would recommend this property and I would stay here again. - The room was fantastic. Lovely and clean and modern and we had a nice view of the main street. The only thing that let us down here was the pick up/drop off service. It wasn’t clear that we would get picked up from the welcome centre so we walked to the hotel with our luggage. We were then told we would be dropped off on departure but the staff never showed up so we were left scrambling to catch a taxi and nearly missed our bus.

• Andrew (8/5): The Freshwater is in a great location to access food, drink and shuttle buses to take you to the hill yet still allows y - The staff, Arthur, Louie, Luke and Kane were very helpful. They rescued us from Kutchan on a very cold and snowy night when there were no taxis available. Looked after us during our stay and got us to the bus early in the morning on the day of our departure. Thanks guys! It’s expensive but then everything in Niseko is.

• Peck (9/5): Excellent place, worth for the money1 - I booked the apartment with 2 rooms. It is spacious, big living room, big kitchen, big bathrooms, big dinning area and nice view of Mt Yotei. My family loves the place so much and enjoy their stay. The location is near and in walking distance to Grand Hirafu Ski Resort if you don't drive. There is a Lawson next to the building in less than 100m walking distance. Most importantly, the apartment is well-equipped with the amenities, enough towels, enough kitchen cooking and dining amenities, got washer and dryer too. I highly recommend the place for family travellers. I reached earlier and thought of parking my car at the premise first, however I reached at the time when there is no front desk service, so someone helped me to call and I waited for like 15 mins for a guy to come by, he told me I couldn't check in earlier but can park my car in the open air area but he sounded not familiar with the place and I felt like he didn't really know much to assist me, so ended up my car was park in open air area with snow storm, later I realized there is 2 indoor parking spaces and I wish someone could have told me so, so that I could save time in clearing the snow on my car, even the different guy who helped me with check in never told me so. But overall it wasn't a big issue.

• Daryl (7/5): Eye eincingly expensive stay at what was a very small economy apartment. - The room was clean and comfortable and warm. Perhaps the best, thing was that it was right across the road from the Green Farm Cafe which has the best breakie in Grand Hirafu. It was close to pretty much everything. I actually thought I was checking into a hotel and it was how it was advertised on Booking.com so was quite surprised when it turned out, for the money involved, to be a simple, very small economy apartment. The rooms were ridiculously dry at night so desperately needed a humidifier installed. The rooms were quite small but had quite a bit of stuff packed into it. It was also quite unclear from check-in how to just sort basic ski stuff which felt strange consdiering I was obviously there to go snowboarding. Value for money was astounding low in my opinion.
