• Romina (10/5): - Aparte de la ubicación (que es excelente: a metros de Gran Vía)... lo que más me gustó y me sorprendió es la calidez del lugar y la amabilidad con la que nos recepcionaron. Y el lugar nos sorprendió con un encanto particular, por el valor histórico que entraña. Súper recomendable!!!! Realmente, no tuvimos ningún inconveniente.

La signora che ci ha accolto molto gentile e disponibile. È un palazzo storico quindi privo di ascensore, non è un punto a sfavore ma è da tenere conto per chi ha esigenze particolari

• federico (10/5): Excepcional, y volvería siempre. - Todo! No hay nada para destacar negativo. Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos en el alojamiento y volvería una y mil veces sin dudarlo. La amabilidad de la anfitriona María Jesús es de lo más amable y cordial. Siempre pendiente en cada detalle. Es muy gratificante alojarse en la casa de la escritora. Nada! Tener solamente en cuenta para personas mayores o movilidad reducida que queda en un segundo piso por escaleras.

• Anna-Maria & Michalis (10/5): A superbly located, peaceful, elegant and spotlessly maintained hidden gem with a boutique feel. - We were impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and the thoughtful attention to detail throughout the charming room, especially the bed linen, which contributed to a refined, boutique-style experience. It was evident that María Jesús takes great pride in creating a warm, beautifully curated space, finished to an exceptionally high standard. Set on the second floor of a beautiful historic building, the accommodation opens into a small yet refined reception area, giving the feel of an intimate boutique guesthouse. We were pleasantly surprised that it was not a single room rental, which added to the sense of comfort and reassurance during our stay. Our room, overlooking the quiet street, was wonderfully bright and perfectly blends classic character with modern comfort, enhancing the overall sense of a discreet luxury stay. We found everything we needed to feel at home: a modern shower, a hairdryer, and a small counter with a 'Nespresso' machine, as well as additional appliances like an electric kettle, toaster, microwave, and fridge. Although we didn't use these during our one-night stay, they would be ideal for longer visits. The double bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. There was also a TV and sockets conveniently placed. We appreciated María Jesús’s warm welcome. Her communication was prompt and her willingness to help with any queries was excellent. Although she does not speak English, she used an online translator very effectively, making communication seamless throughout our stay. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate our experience at La Casa de la Escritora a resounding 10. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking a peaceful and surprisingly tranquil stay in the heart of Madrid, set on an exceptionally quiet street just off Gran Vía. Despite the central location (within walking distance to everywhere!), it was wonderfully calm while being conveniently above a small supermarket. A full-length mirror would have been nice to have.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and decorated with simple taste. The location is very close to the center and near public transportation. El edificio es bastante antiguo y no tiene ascensor, la calle es muy ruidosa durante la noche hasta temprano en la mañana, pero el apartamento cuenta con ventanas dobles. Debería haber en la pequeña cocina un rollo de papel de cocina o servilletas, y la esponja para lavar los platos debería ser nueva. Por último, el aislamiento acústico no es bueno, se escuchan claramente lo que sucede en las habitaciones contiguas y en las de arriba. The building is quite old and does not have an elevator, the street is very noisy during the night until early in the morning, but the apartment has double-glazed windows. There should be a roll of kitchen paper or paper towels in the small kitchen, and the dish sponge should be new. Finally, the sound insulation is not good; you can clearly hear what is happening in the adjacent rooms and the rooms above.

• Ufuk (10/5): Muy lindo con pocos problemas - Tiene un estilo muy lindo. Aunque está ubicada en una zona muy popular, no se escucha nada de la calle. La cocina no está bien equipada; hay MUY pocos vasos, platos y cubiertos.Si a ustedes de vez en cuando les gusta comer y tomar algo en el apartamento, este lugar no es conveniente. Es un piso de varios apartamentos en un edificio antiguo. Muy lindo pero hasta el mínimo ruido de otras habitaciones se escuchan, así que si sus "vecinas" hicieran ruido, tendrían problemas de dormir. La cama doble es bastante angosta.

• Renata (10/5): Zauroczona Madrytem - La casa de la escritora jest ciepłym miejscem poczynając od przywitania właścicielki, poprzez proces zameldowania, kończąc na wystroju wnętrza. Przytulny, czysty i pachnący, dający poczucie spokoju. Poza tym La casa de la escritora jest położony w samym sercu miasta, skąd łatwo można się dostać do każdego miejsca w Madrycie. W pokoju dwuosobowym z balkonem mieliśmy wszystko co potrzeba: bardzo wygodne łóżko z czystą, pachnącą pościelą, TV na ścianie, mały stolik i kanapa. Dalej przechodzi się przez małą kuchnię zaopatrzoną w mikrofalówkę, ekspres do kawy, czajnik, toster, lodówkę. Na końcu czyściutka łazienka z prysznicem i zestawem kosmetyków. To co wymieniłam jest w ramach pokoju do własnej dyspozycji. Szczerze polecam pobyt w tym miejscu. Drugie wysokie piętro bez windy może dla niektórych być przeszkodą.

Кроме того, мы должны отметить, что хозяин оставил нам в холодильнике бутылку охлажденной воды, бесплатные капсулы с кофе на следующее утро и травяные чаи. Очень любезная хозяйка. Маленькая кухня. Далеко до железнодорожного вокзала. Нет лифта.

• Paula (10/5): Inmejorable - La habitación espectacular, con todo lo necesario, limpia, cuidada… no le faltaba detalle. Nosotros descansamos súper bien, el colchón muy cómodo y sin ruido del exterior. Ubicación inmejorable, con diversos parkings públicos cercanos… Además, destacar que la anfitriona nos dejó una botella de agua fresquita en la nevera, unas cápsulas de café de cortesía para la mañana siguiente e infusiones. Todo un detalle. Mil gracias. Absolutamente todo me gustó, repetiría sin dudarlo si volviese a Madrid.

She accommodated all of our needs, and even directed us to a convenient place to store our bags after we checked out so we could enjoy our last day in Madrid. A splendid establishment! • Rafaela (10/5): Excellent! - I can't stress enough how good our experience was at La casa de la escritora. The room was VERY clean and organized. The host was very friendly and the location was just perfect - close to everything but quiet inside! The bed was comfortable and we had enough room for two people to manage their luggage comfortably, in addition to a small couch, a desk, and some kitchen appliances (fridge, microwave, electric kettle, coffee machine, dishware). We did almost everything by foot or bus (the #001 bus runs through Gran Vía and it's free). I would definitely recommend this place to other people and I will stay there again when I go to Madrid in the future. The only thing missing was a full-body mirror (but there were other mirrors in the bedroom). But this didn't affect our excellent experience there.
