• Shane (8/5): Beautiful Moroccan style hotel - First, the staff. Some of the best attention we've gotten. Cat and Ana on the front desk were outstanding with fantastic recommendations, not just in Tulum but also on our other locations after our stay with them. All the other staff were always busy and eager to help with anything. The spicy margarita was exceptional, as were the beds. The beds have been the best of all locations we visited on this trip. The hotel is visually splendid. Styling is definitely on point. Its location means you can walk to almost Anton in town, which i definitely preferred to the hotel/ beach zone. I had read in previous reviews that the poll was warm, and it was. Not very refreshing

(alors que tout est déjà payé). Ils en profitent pour vous facturer des prestations non existantes. Ils ne rendent le passeport que si vous réglez les prestations non consommées et à la dernière minute. - Le petit déjeuner est vraiment petit. Aucune possibilité de changer la boisson au jus de fruit, le café est forcément américain - tout est sujet à supplément J'ai regardé leurs réponses et ils rejettent toutes les accusations sur le client quand les notes sont mauvaises. Aucune Remise en cause. Personnel très antipathique à l'accueil notamment pour une personne. Totalement anti-commercial.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren toll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Bar am Rooftop Pool und das Personal dort ließ leider etwas zu wünschen übrig

• Emma (8/5): The warmth, hospitality, and beauty of Layla would definitely bring us back. A big shout out to Cat at the front desk wh - The decor is incredible. The massive piece of art by the ground level pool is spectacular. Ive never seen something like that in all my travels. There is certainly a Moroccan influence which I love. The roof top pool with chilled hang out facilities and good music was a real treat. I think the option of having the ground level pool for cooling off (as the water is definitely cooler) and the roof top pool for getting some sun on my pasty British skin was a standout positive. We stayed in a ground level which was very generous in size and had beautiful high ceilings. There is also a massive walk in shower. Most of the room is screeded which I personally love. A small, yet temporary, thing we didn’t enjoy was the maintenance work being done on the roof top. This was only one day so wasn’t a huge issue. Perhaps could have been scheduled for the quiet season.

The rooms were spacious, had everything we needed. Breakfast had 3 choices, more than enough in quantity and quality. The staff was exceptional. I will return. I understand that filtered coffee is the normality and it is generally offered, but i would have loved if the breakfast had espressos included. It is not a thing i didn't like though, just something to precise.

Daarnaast is de locatie goed als je in het centrum van Tulum wilt verblijven. Het hotel is erg duur voor wat je krijgt en de foto’s geven geen realistisch beeld van de staat van de accommodatie. Sommige dingen waren niet schoon. De kamer zelf was vrij basic en saai. Het zwembad is niet echt bruikbaar om te relaxen, omdat er geen ligbedden zijn. Het ontbijt was beperkt en niet bijzonder. Al met al begrijp ik niet hoe dit hotel zulke hoge beoordelingen krijgt.

• Abdulaziz (10/5): Enjoyable experience - I’ve been to Tulum many times and this was the first time staying at this hotel. By far the experience had mad huge difference comparing to my previous visits. From the moment I stepped in to the reception until check out, the service was over and beyond. Great customer service by all staff from the front desk to the housekeeping to the room service to the bar staff. They truly made my stay enjoyable and memorable. Very close distance to anything you need in downtown, also they offer many options that suits your needs, whatever they might be. This by far is the best hotel in Tulum I’ve ever been to. You won’t go wrong by choosing them.

Lo staff mi ha fornito moltissime informazioni su come muovermi, sull’escursioni che potevo fare durante il mio soggiorno. Tutto e’ stato come mi e’ stato descritto; la piu’ bella e’ stata la riserva di Sian Kaan, nel mezzo della natura e degli animali. Ultimo, ma non meno importante: lo stile di Laya, unico nel suo genere, i dettagli delle camere e dell’edificio, la pulizia e l’attenzione in tutto. Indubbiamente raccomandabile al 100%. Nulla!!!!

Room very comfortable with lovely hot shower and comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Pancakes, muesli, eggs etc. and lovely sitting on roof overlooking pool. Unfortunately the design of the building means rooms on the end of the row can be looked into from corridor as people leave lift, so have to have net curtains drawn whole time for privacy.

We went to the sister hotel Sana’s beach club which was a bit confusing. The 1000 pesos you pay for the sun bed is actually credit for food and drink. No one explained this to us but it was sorted in the end. Lovely beach front and very comfortable beds! Nothing! I’m glad I didn’t have a ground floor room as they open directly onto the reception area and walkway to the lift. 2nd floor with balcony was great. I was worried about no private parking but we got parked across the street every night.

If you are here for longer it might be worth hiring a car or motorbike - will do this next time. Small pool area - not many places to sit/sunbathe.

Quarto bem pequeno para um hotel considerado de luxo. A área da piscina não é nada aconchegante e não há cadeiras para tomar sol e nenhum tipo de aquecimento solar da piscina, o que a deixa muito gelada e pouco atrativa.
• Jason (10/5): Really exceptional location, room & service. - Layla is a beautiful boutique hotel, close enough to restaurants and stores to easily walk, but far enough away to be quiet and feel local. During our stay (9 nights in 2026) the staff, from management to cleaners were all very friendly, willing to help or just chat, whilst working dilligently and professionally. Frankly, we were blown away by the entire operation, which made us feel at home, as if nothing was too much to ask. We loved it, and we'll be back. The breakfast menu was a little small, but the food was good.

The smell was divine every time you walked into the hotel lobby - that in itself spoke luxury. Property was stunning - small boutique feel, very clean, lovely pool and the breakfast included is great! Location was amazing you can walk everywhere in central tulum with lots of restaurants on your doorstep. Also worth mentioning they have another boutique beachfront hotel called Sana, and as a guest at Laylas you can also have access to their beach club If you want a luxurious day trip at the beach. Nothing :)

• Imraan (1/5): Avoid Like The Plaque! - I liked absolutely nothing! We arrived to check in and our room was in the reception area! The room had zero privacy with people constantly walking by as as it opened into the reception area court yard. With this set up you would need to have the curtains permanently closed for any privacy so there would be no natural light. The rooms in this area should be admin /staff areas and not guest bedrooms. We asked to be moved but they were fully booked. I accept we booked a non-refundable room but decided to leave this prison set up and asked for a refund as the hotel is guilty of fraudulent misrepresentation - their website is dishonest and deceptive and they should clearly show the set up as it is and not falsely advertise. The hotel simply refused to refund us even for a night and Booking.com were equally unhelpful and refused to refund us even though we had been duped and defrauded. Be wary of booking without clarifying the room and floor number if you must book!

Le rooftop et le confort du lit avzc le balcon La piscine n’est pas chauffée, et le petit déjeuner n’etait pas top, pas assez de choix différents et trop leger et le cafe pas bon donc je faisais mon cafe dans ma chambre et je montais avec ma tasse le jus de fruit c est de l’eau. Et dans la chambre sur les horaires de cuisine on peut pas ouvrir la chambre car odeur de la cuisine qui rentre dans la chambre.

• Nika (6/5): Nice rooftop, pretty disappointing otherwise - I booked this hotel expecting something fairly fancy, as that’s how it advertises itself. The rooftop pool is genuinely beautiful, and the overall design of the hotel is nice. There are three breakfast options and all of them were tasty. The staff was kind in my experience, and when I asked for an insect spray, they lent me one without any problems. The room itself was very basic and honestly felt more like a hostel room, apart from the nice tiles in the bathroom. With two people and two suitcases, it’s difficult to have both open at the same time because the room is quite small. My biggest issue was finding a huge cockroach in the hallway near my room on the first night. While this isn’t unusual in Tulum because of the tropical climate, the hotel’s half-open layout makes it very easy for insects to enter. There is also a noticeable gap under the room doors that would easily allow cockroaches inside. Luckily, I didn’t see any in my room, probably thanks to the spray. What also bothered me a lot was the €170 deposit they charged at check-in “in case we break anything” (I didn't know they would). Anything we might consume would be deducted from this amount. They did return the money a few days after we checked out, but I was nervous the whole time, afraid of breaking something by accident. I also read comments from people saying they were charged for dirty towels. They offered me a very expensive transfer from Cancún Airport twice (€200 for two people), even though similar transfers are available online for half the price. In the end, we took the bus. The hotel also rents bikes for €15 per day, while a nearby rental offers them for about half that price. Finally, I didn’t like finding a “tips are appreciated” envelope in the room. For a supposedly fancy, adults-only boutique hotel, this felt out of place. I wouldn’t stay here again.
• Andra (1/5): Trop cher pour ce que c’est - L’emplacement. La taille de la chambre et les équipements sont bien. Nous avons été prélevées deux fois pour le montant des nuits passées, et le remboursement a été extrêmement difficile à obtenir. Il a fallu plus d’un mois, malgré de nombreuses relances, et la somme remboursée ne correspond même pas exactement au montant initialement prélevé. Le service du petit-déjeuner est également très décevant : près d’une heure d’attente pour une simple omelette et un bol de granola avec fruits. L’hôtel est nettement moins beau en réalité que sur les photos, et l’isolation est très mauvaise : on entend tous les bruits de la rue depuis la chambre.
• Jessica (10/5): Petit boutique hotel avec tous les services au centre de Tulum. - La localisation idéal pour commencer un voyage à proximité d'excellents restaurants et toutes les commodités,, les piscines, le style de l'hotel très original, tous les services offerts sur place et particulièrement le service attentionné du personnel. Également, je recommande en tant que voyageuse solo, atmosphère féminine. Le mobilier sur la terrasse pourrait être un peu plus confortable.

• Natascha (9/5): Super Aufenthalt für ein paar Nächte in Tulum - Super schönes Hotel, bequemes Bett und sehr sauber. Die Dusche im Zimmer war spitze. Die Mitarbeiter vor allem im Rooftop waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Am Pool konnte man wunderbar entspannen, einen Drink geniessen und das absolut fantastische Hummus kosten. Einen Abfalleimer mehr im Zimmer wäre gut, wir hatten nur einen ganz kleinen Eimer im Badezimmer. Unser Ventilator an der Decke hat sich regelmässig von selbst eingeschaltet auch das Personal konnte das Problem nicht lösen. Das war in der Nacht etwas mühsam, da wir Zugluft nicht mögen.

• Salvatore (10/5): Consigliatissimo! - La struttura, molto curata in ogni dettaglio e con camere ampie e confortevoli, si trova nel cuore piu autentico di Tulum. Le spiagge sono raggiungibili in bici o in auto facilmente. La colazione è ricca e gustosa. La vera differenza la fa peró lo staff: ogni persona, a partire dal responsabile Riccardo, é accogliente e sempre attenta al cliente. Una menzione particolare spetta a Elena che in reception é davvero una punta di diamante per la struttura: preparatissima, sempre pronta a dare consigli (azzeccatissimi) su attività, escursioni, ristoranti, serate… ci ha svoltato la vacanza in meglio con le sue utilissime raccomandazioni: sempre pronta ad ascoltare i clienti e a rendere il loro soggiorno speciale. Davvero unica e preziosa! Era tutto perfetto e sopra le aspettative

• Marcelo (10/5): Perfect! - Layla hotel is very well located and the hotel has everything you need for a perfect stay in Tulum. Staff is extremely helpful, kind and supportive. Their partnership with Sana Hotel is also a plus. I strongly recommend staying at Layla. Everything perfect. Rooms are exactly like in the pictures, breakfast is very tasty and hotel is very beautiful. They exceeded all my expectations!
• Javier (10/5): - el servicio de todo el personal... desde quién nos recomendó originalmente Ricardo Andrade, en el hotel Sana, quiéh no solamente resolviô un inconveniente que tuvimos al llegar a la ciudad, sino que nos buscó la soluciôn y nos conectó con el personal de Layla Tulum.. absolutamente impecable el servicio, el hotel maravilloso en cuanto a estructura, limpieza, decoración y una vez más la activitud de todo e lpersonal, desde la recepción hasta el personal de los cuartos y los botones... muchas gracias por ayudarnos a tener una hermosa experiencia y excelentes recuerdos! El estado de las playas, que no dependen del hotel, y estaban parcialmente afectadas por los zargazos durante nuestra estadía...
• Ian (9/5): Great location, extremely friendly, welcoming - Well located. Extremely friendly team. Great breakfast and spotlessly clean. My only minor criticism is that the room was a little cramped, even though we choose the biggest one. Vet little space for clothes and had to live out of the suitcase. A small fridge would also be useful.

• Morad (10/5): 1001 nacht in de leukste straat van Tulum pueblo. - De inrichting. Wat een sprookje. Bij binnenkomst word je al meteen weggeblazen. Tot in de kleinste detail is er nagedacht om dit paleisje op een riad te laten lijken. We konden uren doorbrengen op het prachtige dakterras, terwijl we Tulum zelf ook nog moesten ontdekken. Niks. Het was er gewoon geweldig.
