- Olivier (10/5): Une expérience unique du raffinement japonais, dans un environnement exceptionnel - Passer une nuit à Yatakiya, c'est un moment exceptionnel ! D'abord le site est magnifique, au fond d'une petite vallée entourée de forêts profondes : on est à l'écart du monde, dans un calme total. Ensuite l'établissement lui-même est un bijou : une ancienne ferme cossue du 17ème siècle admirablement restaurée par une équipe de passionnés, avec un souci du détail et de l'excellence typiquement japonais. Dès notre arrivée, Monsieur Tanaka et son équipe nous ont raconté l'histoire du lieu et briefé sur toutes les ressources à notre disposition pour bien profiter de notre séjour. Le dîner était sublime, une cuisine raffinée - fusion italo-japonaise - préparée juste pour nous (nous étions une famille de 6 personnes, seuls résidents dans l'établissement cette nuit là). Nos chambres étaient originales, dans des "kura" admirablement restaurés, avec tous les équipements et services d'un hôtel de luxe. Il faut juste faire attention aux poutres basses quand on est grand.

- LIANGYU (10/5): 希望可以再度蒞臨 - 今回「うだ薬湯の宿 やたきや」に宿泊し、とても印象深い体験となりました。 女将さんをはじめ、スタッフの皆さまがとても親切で丁寧に接してくださり、温かく心地よい雰囲気の中で過ごすことができました。 お料理は地元の食材を活かした特徴ある内容で、一般的な懐石料理とはまた違った個性があり、どの一品も盛り付けが美しく、とても美味しかったです。 特に印象的だったのは、薬草湯を自分で調合できる点です。自然な香りと体への効果がしっかり感じられ、入浴後は肩や背中がとても楽になりました。ほかではなかなか体験できない貴重なお風呂でした。 全体を通して、ぜひまた訪れたいと思える宿です。 素晴らしい滞在を提供してくださった女将さんとスタッフの皆さまに心より感謝いたします。

- Ana (9/5): Beautiful and authentic japanese experience - Beautiful renovated house in the middle of Nara countryside. Staff was extremely kind and attentive, we felt like we were in a japanese house. The woods surrounding the house were really beautiful, and food was really good - ideal for anyone wanting to escape and rest in a quiet area As the purpose of the hotel is rest and healing, it is indeed very quiet, and with very few activities to do other than apreciating nature and relaxing. Also, we found the mattresses to be quite hard.

Very nice to have the meal be so great and all grown locally! the staff clearly takes great pride in their work and the quality was impeccable. A little pricey and not around a lot of sights, so great for a night but I wouldn't book it longer.

- Niels (10/5): Amazing and relaxing experience - Yatakiya's staff are exceptionally nice, and they do everything to make the stay comfortable and special. The surrounding area is beautiful and relaxing, with typical Japanese multi-level fields next to wild forest. We also had a great time talking to the non-English speaking members of the staff via voice translation apps.
- Sook (10/5): Great food, scenery and cosy stay. Will go there again if given the opportunity to be in Kyoto again. - Quite, amazing scenery and fantastic host. The room is cosy, spacious and you could smell the herb from our room. The herbal soak in the tub was very relaxing. Kade , fluent in English whom was hosting us upon our arrival is excellent. He explained every detail of the food ingredients, the health benefit and type of herbs used in our dinner meal. The chef is an excellent cook. The dinner was delicious and palatable. The lady host took us around the trail walks and set up a hammock in the forestry. The view from the hammock overlooking at the tall majestic trees and foliage were really spectacular. My spouse, daughter and myself truly enjoyed our one night stay. The property is much better than the picture shown in booking.com. The preview should give this property more excellent write out. There was no TV in room but when you’re up in the mountain, this would not an essential item. Basically there was nothing that we did not like.
