No window- but not really a big deal if you only sleep there. The air-con was leaking though and the lights above the bed were not working.

Anche se Semporna è un luogo dove stare il meno possibile. - La struttura si trova in una zona un po' affollata e non molto bene frequentata, ma per entrare occorre un codice e questo è molto rassicurante. Il concierge è sempre presente e quando abbiamo aspettato la macchina che ci veniva a prendere è uscito per assicurarsi che nessuno ci infastidisce. La camera con vista mare è molto bella. Peccato che il bagno non sia un granché. Semporna non è bella. Soggiornarvi serve solo come base per andare a visitare le isole vicine che sono un sogno.
• Susanne (2/5): - There was a power outage since four days before my arrival which was expected to last for at least 8 days, but they told me only when i wanted to check in and it was already too late to book another accomodation. All other places had installed power generators, but this hostel decided to not do anything. They didn‘t even give a discount! So you had the noise from the generators of the neighbours, but no electricity. Do not book a trip to the islands with them unless you are chinese, since the company who runs these trips has only chinese customers who will insult you all day long and don’t know how to behave. The tour operator doesn‘t care about you! I was also set on another tour than i had booked….

• Simina (10/5): Very comfortable place. Highly recommend it. - Place is very comfy and clean, staff is friendly, hot water, AC, close to so many good restaurants. Every evening coming from the chaotic Semporna city, it felt like an oasis of comfort and good vibes. Staff helped us book an island hoping tour very last minute and a minivan to airport. We did laundry through a local service provided by them and it came back smelling so nice. We liked everything.

• Klaudia (7/5): Angenehmes Hotel in zentraler Lage; ideal für eine Nacht. - Die Zimmer sind originell gestaltet, zumindest jenes, das ich hatte. Die Lage direkt am Hafen ist perfekt für die weiterreise. Ob das allerdings den Preis gerechtfertigt, sei dahin gestellt.

Rooms were cleaned daily My room didn’t have a window which I don’t remember being clear when I booked. There was no laundry service and no tumble dryer like stated

• Ilaria (10/5): Cozy place in Semporna - Personale gentile e disponibile. La struttura è molto carina, la hall è confortevole per una pausa di relax. Abbiamo preso una camera senza finestre che era di dimensioni molto ridotte ma con le comodità essenziali e pulita. Le camere con vista mare sono molto belle.

• Qizhe (7/5): acceptable for that price at the town - 1. position is just, fabulous, for most cases. lots of restaurants to choose from, close to the fish market, close to many scuba/plongee diving providers 2. the room is designed in a way that is still acceptable, with considerably good conditioned amentieis and facilities inside the room. 1. noisy. the building next to the hotel is under construction and is producing a unbearable volume of noise, from around 8am to 6pm. 2. room is just, small; price is too high in the town. 3. quite dirty outside the hotel - it's still quite good within the hotel though 4. it provide a balcony for guests to hang their clothes on, but, smoky restaurants will make your readily-cleaned wet clothes .... into .... tasty food?

The room was small but the bed space so comfy, featuring a ventilator and a mobile shelve for your things. The common space was very big to chill and work, the WiFi good and the showers modern and spacious. The best discovery in Semporna's limited offers. Everything was very good.

The area around the hostel was fine - lots of restaurants, shops and tour providers. A good base for accessing day trips and also Mabel Island. It would have been handy if the hostel provided a laundry service.
• Lisa (7/5): Good for a sleep or two - Dorm is clean and pods and very private with screens. Located in the hub of the harbor with many food options just outside the door. Within walking distance of all the dive shops. Dorm room is very tiny, and bathrooms/showers require you to leave the dorm and enter the lobby. Was loud in the early evening but quieted down at a reasonable hour.

The staff were very friendly and arranged diving and snorkelling day trips. Overall was a nice stay at a good price They are strict on check in time with no early check in available. Would be nice if the room is ready. The beds are also a little uncomfortable if you’re sensitive to that.
• Charis (10/5): Exceptional - Semporna is a horrible town full of plastic and rubbish, catering to tourists whose only interest is eating absolutely everything from the ocean - including endangered species and fish caught in the marine park. It is vile. This hotel was the only bright spot, it was clean and comfy and they stored our bags for two days while we went diving. The rest of Semporna
• Stacey (9/5): Gateway to the islands but not social by any means - The location is great. The back door of the hostel leads directly onto the pier where the restaurants are. I ordered from fat mom twice and both times I was able to have them deliver to the hostel which was very convenient. When I was done, I just returned the plate back to the restaurant. My room was right outside of the reception area therefore I could hear everything happening outside. The dorm was very small as well. I liked the code access to enter the front and back of the hostel. I did 2 island tours through the hostel and both start points were right on the pier making it convenient. The guys at reception were always so helpful. Semporna is very rundown and surrounded by children beggars who are either tapping you for money or getting yelled at by restaurant staff for sitting in front of their establishment. It is a sad sight and for that reason I didn’t feel safe walking alone at night so I really liked the hostels direct access to the pier. Although, the bathroom has 2 toilets and 2 showers, it only has 1 sink. There were multiple times I had to awkwardly share the sink with a random guy. This is not a social hostel . No breakfast included.
• Jade (7/5): Good - It's in a great location if you're looking to do dive tours. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They assisted me in organising an additional travel charger when mine stopped working, which was very helpful. The room is small, but comfortable and clean. Perfect for solo travellers. You needed to pay a cash deposit on arrival for the key card for check in and access to WIFI. There is an ATM around the corner, but I was surrounded by kids begging for money - so it didn't feel entirely safe.

• Noor (10/5): beautiful and comfortable staycation. - its clean and smell nice, the staff very nice letting us placed our stuff there when we go for island hopping.. the security of the hotel is good too, there’s staff stationed there and the door got passcode, feel very safe.. we choose one of the room view is sea and the scenery very beatiful.. the place near restaurant jetty/boat for island hopping..would definitely choose here too next time no early check in.. sharp at 3pm.. maybe need time to clean the room..

If you take room with balcony, you may want to relook because other people can see you if they stay in their room because the compartment between balcony is not until the roof only halfway

We should have done our research a little bit better as there was nothing about the actual facility that was a positive for us. In saying that, we do understand that others would like this place.

Rooms were basic but comfortable, great location close to food and drink with a nice ish view from the rooms. There is nothing in Semporna though. So only use this as a stop gap of a base for travelling elsewhere in the islands
