• Arlene (6/5): It's clean but the facilities need renovation. The washroom's light is flickering and the window is tied up with - Near the bus station and food stalls. The rooftop is nice - you can chill and have free drinks (coffee/tea). The room needs renovation.

• Saya (8/5): - バスターミナル、屋台から近くて便利。 清潔なシャワールーム。 屋上でリラックスできる。 ベットのシーツに小さな黒いシミがたくさんあり、嫌な予感がしたら、隣のベットにベットバグがいた。 スタッフに言うと早急に対応してくれて、部屋をアップグレードしてくれた。 スタッフの対応は良かったが、あのシーツを使い続けるのは良くない。
• Colhine (7/5): - Proche de la gare routière, personnel agréable, hôtel propre Mauvaise isolation sonore, la nuit il y a eu beaucoup de bruit de la part des autres clients qui faisait la fête au 4eme étage (terasse, espace détente et espace fumeur). Malgré la demande de la part de l'hôtel de baisser d'un ton ils ont continué à faire du bruit (musique, parle fort, rire) jusqu'à plus de minuit. D'autres personnes écoutent des vidéo dans les commun en volume a fond a 1h du matin en utilisant le sèche cheveux pendant plus d'une heure ... Donc voilà le bémol c'est le bruit la nuit, prenez des boules quies.

• Lucia (7/5): The room was small but clean and comfortable; it’s what you’d expect for the price. - It’s located right next to the bus station and night market which was great. There were plenty of bathrooms available on each floor which always seemed clean. No free towels but there was soap & shampoo in the showers. The aircon in the room was perfect. The staff were friendly and efficient for the check in but we didn’t interact with them much during our stay. This didn’t cause any problems for us but the reception is in another building opposite the hostel itself which was a little confusing.

• akinobu (7/5): 安さの割に綺麗。これならもっといたい - かわいい猫が三匹いた。 ネコアレルギーとか苦手な人は無理かも この値段でコーヒーとか無料で飲めるのは嬉しい。あとバスタオルを貸してくれた。 バス停から数分だから助かる シャワーが少しぬるい 仕方がないんだけど、トイレの紙が入り口にあり、トイレ内にはないから注意。
• Sophie (8/5): very good value for money - 3 minute walk to the bus stop, night market and 711 less than 1 minute walk away. Rooms were clean. 2 night stay cost less than £10 Was not given a towel for showering - this would be a suggestion to improve. On my final day check out was at 12:00 but at 10am the staff were waiting around my dorm room for me to leave so they could clean ( I assume) this made me feel uncomfortable and I ended up leaving at 11am when I had instead planned to leave at 12 as my sleeper bus was not until the evening. I would avoid doing this to future guest, as it makes them feel uncomfortable.

• Domitille (10/5): Excellent rapport qualité / prix - Rapport qualité / prix excellent ! Nous avions une chambre double avec salle de bain partagée. Les espaces communs sont très propres. L’emplacement est parfait, avec un 7-eleven pas loin ! Nous avons adoré faire un apéro sur la terrasse couverte ! Très agréable. Le personnel est très gentil, ils sont présents à l’accueil du boutique de colis et il y a plein de chats adorables !! Je recommande.

• Katie (10/5): I would recommend D Luck hostel to anyone looking for budget accommodation in Kanchanaburi. - We had the budget double room, which was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Air con was great. We slept very well. There were 5 toilet/showers on our floor so plenty were available and all were clean. Towels, shower gel and shampoo are provided and there is a hairdryer available to use too. Across the road is the hostel building where there is tea and coffee available free of charge and a water dispenser. Location is brilliant. Lots of places to eat and night market just around the corner. Bus station less than 5 minute walk, which was ideal for getting the early bus to Erawan Falls/National Park and Hellfire Pass. River Kwai Bridge is 40 minute walk away, or 12 minute taxi. Kanchanaburi train station was also less than 10 minute taxi so could easily get the early train to Nam Tok. Staff are very helpful. One minor thing that would have made the stay even better would be to have regular cotton towels instead of microfibres towels as they were quite difficult to dry with!

I confirm previous comments that the room on the first floor doesn't have a window. Anyway it wasn't important for me. It was possible to breathe normally and the room didn't smell bad.

• Dominic (7/5): Cheap and conveniently located but you get what you pay for. - Great location next to the bus station and a street food market. I got a Private room. It was very small and there were gaps in the windows and lots of mosquitoes about. I ended up getting some sellotape from the reception desk and taped up all the gaps but it’s something they need to address. Also there’s quite a strong smell of sewage on the ground floor as you walk in. Other minor niggles: bright white lighting (needs warmer bulbs and lamps) and lack of plug sockets.

One side seems to be nicer than the other - the cheaper rooms are definitely cheaper in every sense; the rooms are minuscule; there is absolutely no storage space in the bedrooms; the towels are actually more like blankets - they do not dry your body; the mattresses feel like a piece of ply wood (I know mattresses in Thailand are usually hard but this was seriously next level) - the only interaction with the staff I had was less than ideal - they speak very little English and were not the most welcoming - personally I would rather pay more for a better quality stay

• Pit (9/5): Superb - The location is nice and a few steps away from the small night market. The owners were very nice and friendly. It seemed like the whole family was always present, which makes it comfortable and gives you a feeling of "home"upon entering the hostel. The room was quite small, but at the same time quite cozy. It was windowless (exept for a smsll window to the corridor, which is unique and fun).

It was my first time sharing the bedroom with 4 strangers and slept on the bed shelf. I was okay. When I have to sleep on the top of the bed shelf, it is challenging to come down and climb on the 🪜.

• Helena (8/5): Very good - The property was in an amazing location, it was less than a 5 minute walk to the bus station. There’s not a lot of things to do in Kanchanaburi as a young travelling couple but highly recommend the Erawan Waterfall, get the bus for 60THB. The room was comfy, the air-con was brilliant, the toilets were very clean and although shared we never had to wait. The staff were kind and friendly! The room didn’t have a window, it would have been nice to stay in the room which did.
