• Birgit (7/5): Für mich ein schöner Ort um von dort Unternehmungen zu machen. Und wenn ich zurück war in den Pool.. - Ich war in der Vorsaison da, es waren nur wenige Apartments vermietet. Es war ruhig. Der Balkon meines Apartments war zum Meer ausgerichtet und es war herrlich morgens dort zu frühstücken. Das Apartment war recht klein, zu zweit wäre es mir zu klein gewesen. Auch so konnte ich den Kleiderschrank nicht richtig öffnen weil er ans Bett schlug.

• Christina (10/5): - Wir hatten einen rundum positiven Aufenthalt: 2 saubere Appartments mit regelmäßigem Zimmerservice, einer gut ausgestatteten Küchenzeile und tollem Ausblick auf das Meer, den Ort und den Swimmingpool. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Ein zwischenzeitlicher Stromausfall in einem der Appartments wurde umgehend behoben. Der Strand, kleine Supermärkte und gute Restaurants innerhalb von 300m erreichbar. Eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft! ......

• Chiara (9/5): - Afroditi é stato il mio alloggio preferito a Creta. Ottima posizione, tranquillo, pulitissimo, curato. Parcheggio comodo. Piccole attenzioni che fanno piacere da parte della gentile Afroditi con raki e salatini e acqua nel frigorifero. Un piccolo consiglio se posso: mettere una tenda sul balconcino in modo da ripararsi dal sole mentre si fa colazione fuori, la mattina batte proprio esattamente di fronte. Grazie per il bel soggiorno. Materasso un po troppo morbido, ma sono gusti.
• Heike (7/5): - Lage und Zimmer E-checkin mit Ausweiskopie erforderlich, ich bekam Bestätigung mit der Zimmernummer. Am Ankunftstag war die Rezeption nicht besetzt, aber der Schlüssel hing am Zimmer. Leider wurde dies doppelt vergeben und wir mussten uns rechtfertigen warum wir in diesem Zimmer waren. Wir mussten die Bestätigung per WhatsApp an die Agentur senden. Die Person dieser Agentur war frech und es kam kein Wort der Entschuldigung! Ein herzliches Dankeschön an den freundlichen Gast, die dieselbe Bestätigung hatte und ohne große Schwierigkeiten ein anderes Zimmer übernahm. Dies aber wahrscheinlich eine niedrigere Kategorie war.

Χρησιμοποιησαμε του κουζινακι που ειχε και υπήρχαν ολα τα μαγειρικά σκευει .Η πισίνα ηταν μικρή ομως εξυπηρετούσε τελεια τον σκοπό της και ηταν και πεντακαθαρη μου άρεσαν τα πολλά λουλούδια που κατακλύζουν το ξενοδοχείο σίγουρα θα το ξαναεπισκεπτομουν

• Thomas (9/5): Alles prima, kommen gerne wieder - Ruhige Lage in Laufweite zum Strand, sehr nette Besitzer, Apt 9 hat eine sehr große Dachterrasse mit tollem Blick auf die Bucht, gute Klimaanlage in beiden Zimmern, gute Küchenausstattung. Wenig Möglichkeiten zum Aufhängen von Handtüchern und etwas wenig Stauraum für Kleidung und Koffer für 4 Personen.

• Jolanda_Kr (9/5): - Nice appartement in cute small village, that offers private parking. Small but has everything you need for a comfortabele stay. Close to the beach and tavernas. Makrigialós has a very pretty beach, that isn't overcrowded with tourists and tavernas that offer good authentic food. Would definitely recommend travelling here. The appartment is a bit small and you have to be carefull getting around, to not bump into things.

• Katrin Ar. (10/5): - Sehr schöne Anlage mit gemütlichen Wohnungen! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten super entspannen! Strand, Tavernen, Supermarkt, alles zu Fuß im 5 Minuten erreichbar. Dorf ist belebt aber keine Touristenhochburg, sehr angenehm! Sehr zu empfehlen! Außer im Schrank gibt es keine Möglichkeit etwas aufzuhängen. Es gäbe aber genug Platz um ein paar Haken/eine Garderobe an der Wand in allen Räumen anzubringen!

• David (10/5): A lovely stay in a comfortable, well appointed apartment, which was in a wonderful spot. - 1.The property owner went out of her way to ensure that we had the best room available to us. 2.The view of Makry Gialos, from the studio window and balcony was wonderful. 3. I have never stayed at apartments that had such extensive facilities. There was a fridge freezer,(not a fridge with a small freezer compartment but a proper fridge freezer), there was a turbo kettle (amazingly quick to boil), there was a coffee percolator, there was a toastie sandwich maker, there was a two ring hob, oven/ grill cooker. There were plenty of plates, bowls, knives, forks, spoons . 4. Air conditioning and the safe were in with the price. 5. The WiFi was brilliant, although someone forgot to tell us that they change the password regularly. As soon as I realised, we were up and running again. 6. A nice touch was the Raki and peanuts on the table to greet us. 7. Complimentary shampoo and shower gels were there, though not expected at that price. Bathroom was a little compact to say the least and the door didn't sit right back open. I know that you don't spend much time in there but I do hate areas that are not really large enough with shower curtains that cling to you and where you can just sit on the loo. Please get brackets for the shower head. I want to stand under the shower not wash one side and then change hands. The TV was a little small and temperamental but that's just being picky.

• Jakub (9/5): Well-kept house with sea views in a less touristy area, surrounded by an authentic Cretan village. - A nicely maintained house in a traditional neighborhood. We really enjoyed the view of the sea and the surrounding hills. The area is less crowded with tourists, which made our stay more peaceful and relaxing. The surroundings feature a mix of well-kept homes, as well as some under construction or seemingly abandoned properties, reflecting the current state of the Cretan countryside.
• Mike (8/5): Recommended. - We had a spacious apartment with a lovely large terrace with a shaded table, plenty of chairs, sunbeds and a smaller coffee size table. The terrace provided a beautiful view of the sea which we enjoyed so much that we usually had takeaway dinners there rather than eating out. There was a handy little oven topped with 2 rings in the kitchen area so cooking a meal was an easy option too. Decent storage in the bedroom, beds satisfactory and bathroom fine. Small swimming pool with area to sunbathe, although we didn't use it and chose the beach instead. Hosts very pleasant. Would stay here again. The hill, although not very steep, or the steps, depending which route you take from the main road to the apts may be a bit of a challenge for those with mobility issues but bear in mind any property offering such lovely view is likely to be at a raised level. Wifi not the best and could be a bit unpredictable. Close neighbours to the property had a fearsome dog (chained) which was less than welcoming when walking back to the property and would sometimes bark for a minute or two at the slightest disturbance. Not the fault of the hosts of course but could be annoying nonetheless.

• Giulia (9/5): Lovely apartments close to city center and the main beach - This is a very well situated apartment building, close to the main center and the main beach, but far enough from the crowd. We had a gorgeous view form our terrace, the apartment is big enough for 4 people (2 children and two adults) and there are 2 AC units (in the bedroom and in the living room) which really made life easier at night. We never cooked, but there are basic facilities. Swimming pool is small but tidy and wonderful to enjoy with kids. In short, a great solution for a very comfortable stay. We loved it and we will come back! Nothing :) all was in line with our expectations and the description, maybe a bit expensive but in line with prices in the area in august.

• Sara (9/5): Superb - Nice hotel, very clean and with a stunning view on the bay and a small pool where to relax. The beach is 5 minutes walking, and the whole area has plenty of beaches
• Simon (9/5): A charming place with genuine character. - Great location only 150 metres from beach, and slightly raised up for a wonderful sea view. One of very few places with a pool so close to town. A nice traditional Greek feel, with plenty of character, great aircon and wifi. Supermarket across the road. A toaster and a microwave would have been useful, but everything else was provided. It is quite a compact set of apartments, so some of the balconies aren't very private, but you get used to it and everyone was very friendly and considerate. We noticed quite a few small ants, which isn't a huge problem but could do with eliminating.

• Eivind (6/5): All in all we had a good time at Afroditi apartments. - The location is great and also the view from the balcony and pool area. The host Afroditi is a very nice and welcoming lady. 😀 The rooms, the beds and furniture have seen better days, but everything was clean and ok. No aircon in the bedroom, but with air condition in the living room and a regular fan to distribute the cooled air we did ok.

• Maria (9/5): Comfortable with view - The structure mimics a Cycladic village, all white, blue and yellow and white stairs. Each room has at least a balcony, most with sea view. The rooms combine older but newly painted furniture and renovated cooking corner and bathroom. Very comfortable and nice. Private parking available. Room size range from small to very large and the price change accordingly. And Mrs Aphroditi and Mr Yannis are fantastic!! There is a swimming pool, but it is not used. But the sea is so beautiful there!

A little hill to walk up back to the apartment, but us two oldies managed ok. Ĵust the small hill to get back , but there is some steps which acts a shortcut.

• Filippo (8/5): Good choice for our two days stop. - Nice location with good view on the bay. Few meters from the village and the beach. Well maintained outside. Appreciated the water, raki and fruits. Nice swimming pool. The shower tend not preventing the water to flood the bathroom. Some better maintenance of light bulbs (some not working) and shower not keeping the right position.
