- Pietro (10/5): - House is great. Not very close to the city center but not far.
Parking is street parking so not applicable. Rooms are a bit dark.

- KANAE (6/5): - We stayed in this renovated traditional nagaya (row house), which has a very stylish design both inside and out. It’s a charming space, with a calm, minimal aesthetic.
However, it’s worth noting that this is not a hotel but more of a self-service holiday rental (closer to an Airbnb-style stay), with limited in-person service or support.
If you’re booking via Booking.com, you might assume it’s a hotel-style experience — it isn’t quite that.
As for location, it’s listed as being 1.2 km from the nearest station (about a 12-minute walk), but in practice, you’ll likely need to take a taxi if you have children or elderly travellers with you. Due to the layout of the roads, taxis must take a longer route, and the fare tends to be around ¥1,000–¥1,200 — not just the base fare.
The house is located in a quiet residential area, and taxis don’t regularly pass by, so you’ll need to use a taxi app.
The property is described as having a “tea room style” interior, which is accurate in terms of decor, but there’s no actual tea ceremony experience provided. Similarly, while coffee equipment is available, there were only drip bags and tea packets, not fresh beans or any kind of curated drink experience. Just something to be aware of — though of course this is a matter of expectation.
In our case, we booked for two adults and four children via Booking.com, assuming this was reflected in the booking. However, only the two adults were shown in the actual reservation (perhaps this was our oversight).
At check-in, we were informed of an additional charge for the children — initially quoted as ¥48,000.
To be fair, the host was flexible and kindly reduced the charge to ¥24,000, which we appreciated. Still, it ended up being a rather expensive lesson 🤭.
This type of accommodation might suit younger travellers looking for a simple, authentic local living experience. However, if you’re expecting hotel-style service or clear and predictable pricing, this may not be the best fit.

- Chi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katrin (1/5): Big disappointment, capsules whereas we booked bedrooms. - Hard to say what is nice as the whole place was such a disappointment and we were afraid one of us might get injured using the staircase down from the capsules. We liked to look at the garden, the bathroom is nice. We booked this place as it was offered as a deluxe villa with bedrooms. When we arrived we found one big room with six wooden boxes along a rather steep staircase. So no bedrooms, but capsules. If We had wanted capsules we would have booked capsules. When we pointed that out to the owner the written answer was that we should have looked at the photos on booking properly. That answer was sent again and again, even after I answered that a bedroom is something different from a capsule and capsules are not indicated in the photos or the text, In the end we got no more answers and asked Booking for help.
In addition to all that it is difficult to feel comfortable in a place where you have stools and only an edgy staircase. Where to relax?Where does the owner think you would sit to watch the wall-tv? Where would you feel deluxe?
- Maggie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Muchin (7/5): Good -
- Ferdi (2/5): Ripoff - Well the design is nice and the place is well-equipped, but that's the only positive things you could say about this place. You need to provide complete information about the place. The room photos are mixed, which is a problem because you think the place is huge, but no, it's 3 different places.
Each place has steep stairs, narrow coffin beds, the rooms are just separated by some planks, it's absolutely not private rooms, it's very tiny places.
And therefore, very expensive for what you get.
And be careful they don't give you the same villa you select, they are 3 different ones.
PS: why do you accuse us of breaking something that was already broken?
- Hayley (10/5): A stunning fusion of contemporary and old - Beautifully renovated. Modern while honouring gorgeous Japanese cultural pieces. A stunning villa. Location a little bit out of the way. But nice neighbourhood
- Amélie (9/5): Superb - The architecture was so beautiful
The big space of the kitchen was very nice
- Riona (1/5): Not worth it. We left early. - Not much besides I would definitely not recommend this ‘lodging’ as the person I spoke to about this called it. False advertising. You don’t get the room you think you are getting. Not worth the price at all. We have photos of the very unsafe stairs, rooms are not what they say. It doesn’t show or state that there are railings or wall on the side for support. There is a large gap between the stairs and the rooms and no space to step into the rooms. The rooms smelt very strong of pine wood and not in a good way. The roof in the room outside is extremely low that we kept hitting our heads. One towel per person for 5 days so expected to wash it but when you want to get out it’s hard as there isn’t a back up incase it doesn’t dry during the day.
The wi fi is extremely bad. Could hardly connect. The communication with the staff wasn’t good. No where to sit comfortably besides seats at the table. We left 2 days earlier as there was no support or understanding from little communication we had with the staff and via a chat which was also very hard. My children woke up with bites on their ankles. A lot rules and expectation with no support and very pricey for what you get.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good - Exceptional layout, timber structure amazing throughout and design. The stairs were not as safe as they could have been..no safely rails present. Also not appropriately sound proof and curfew at 9pm slightly too early. Refer "As above"
- Von (8/5): Very good -
- Jean-marc (10/5): Very high confort - Very good place. Very clean and modern. Parking possible very close. We stay at 4 people but the appartment is for 6 or more. But the common space could be too small for more than 4 people.
- Chiara (10/5): Our stay was fabulous, the location is very convenient and the neighbourhood has everything you need. We absolutely lov - The property was very modern with tradition details! Location is fantastic! A bit dark at times
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Sim (8/5): Very good - nice interior design, cooking facilities, netflix water temperature unstable, start cold for a few seconds every time after turning off.
- Arnaud (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristian (9/5): Amazing introduction to the country! Thank you so much! - Unique, clean, nice facilities, modern, helpful information, good shower Lack of mirrors
- Michael (9/5): Nice place with room relaxing but far from main arwas - Quiet residential area, nice unit that is spacious by Japanese standards Plywood walls, you can hear the neighbors cat scratch and everything else. Although the area is super quiet so it wasn't that big of an issue but we were staying with kids.
- Ladda (8/5): Very good -
- Corbin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional - awesome property, very accommodating. let us check in early since we arrived early, check to make sure first before arriving. outstanding service very responsive
- Hannah (7/5): Uniqr and modern accomodation some distance from Osaka! - Very unique, modern accommodation with great facilities Quite a distance from the local train station, limited things to do in the immediate area
- Berangere (5/5): this room doesn’t suit a family, no bedroom. - excellent communication with the property property is much smaller than described , you can fit 6 people confortably around the table
