• Shahista (7/5): The same was friendly. They were trying to help in each and everywhere. - The staff The things in the room.. either not working or had 1 or other problems. Restaurant had a big menu but on being asked, most of the food was not available from the menu. In the rooms either AC was not working properly or either the phone would not work and the kettle just had the coil and it did not have any utensil in there in which we could heat water for having our coffee. So yeah, this was it but otherwise the stuff was very good. Very friendly.

Personeel behulpzaam De stopcontacten levensgevaarlijk . Waren gewoon stuk en deels uit de muur. De ligging heel centraal maar lag echt met mijn kamer in de moskee. Dus heel luid Het ontbijt de eerste morgen waren boontjes in tomatensaus maar zo uitgedroogd zeker ni te eten. Je kan wel een eitje vragen. Tv op de kamer speelt niet

• Stijn (3/5): Slechtste ervaring ooit - Redelijk ruime kamer en een groot bed. Er was slechts één grote handdoek en één paar badkamerpantoffels terwijl we met twee waren. Het eten in het restaurant was ver-schrik-ke-lijk. Het eten werd in de kamer geleverd omdat de airco in het restaurant niet werkte. Ik heb mijn maaltijd gewoon teruggegeven, want de kip was meer bot dan vlees en het vlees zag er niet appetijtelijk uit. Mijn partner voelde zich niet goed nadat ze een beetje van haar maaltijd had gegeten. We hadden 's morgens allebei jeukende beten (bedwantsen?). Ik zat 's morgens alleen in het restaurant voor het ontbijt (mijn partner vertrouwde het eten niet meer). Er was wel drie man personeel (de vrouw maakte eieren klaar, de oudere man legde me uit wat er in het buffet te verkrijgen was en de derde man liep wat doelloos rond of stond uit het raam te staren). De lichten boven het bed knipperden de hele tijd en ik moest de receptie bellen omdat ik de schakelaar niet vond. Die zat aan de achterkant van een van de nachtkastjes. Beneden aan de receptie zat een groepje mannen - zowel bij aankomst als bij vertrek - die blijkbaar kennissen waren van de manager. Ze zaten ons ongegeneerd aan te staren bij het uitchecken. Vooral mijn vriendin voelde zich hier erg ongemakkelijk bij en zou het hotel al helemaal niet aanraden voor vrouwen die alleen reizen.

• Karl-Ernst (8/5): - Sehr gutes, sauberes und preisgünstiges Hotel im Innenstadtbereich mit gepflegter Ausstattung. Gute Matratzen und ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten. Im Restaurant gibt es ein leckeres Frühstück. Die Speisekarte enthält auch vegetarische Speisen. Zusätzlich gibt es günstige Cafés und Restaurants im nahen Umfeld. Der Fährhafen nach Sansibar ist fußläufig erreichbar. Ausgesprochen freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt. Hierzu fällt mir nichts ein.

• Blair (8/5): Comfortable stay. Few tweaks needed. - Great shower and bathroom. Room clean and well appointed. Comfy bed. Location great for central station and/or ferry. Chap in charge of breakfast was great, very welcoming. AC system was noisy and had to turn it off overnight otherwise I couldn't sleep. Constant noise from mosque meant I couldn't relax and read in my room during the day. Didn't like staff knocking on the door to ask for money as they are hungry or being asked to leave a 10/10 review when I left
• Brigitte (8/5): I appreciated staying at Nikko Towers and would again choose it for its central location. - Breakfast was very good and nicely varied. Both, restaurant staff, desk and room service were welcoming, friendly and efficient. During my stay, I was booked in two rooms, firstly room on the 5th floor, which lacked space. The desk was very high, so that the accompanying chair was not high enough, which prevented working at this desk. My second room was on the 6th floor (604, if I remember well), and I was very satisfied with this room.

Internet did not work at all in my room. There is a big mosque just across the street so the prayers on the loudspeaker are very very loud.

Nos obligaron a pagar en chelines a un tipo de cambio bastante malo que en el resto de Tanzania por lo que nos terminó saliendo bastante mas caro que lo que decia en booking.

• Steven (9/5): A very well run hotel with an excellent staff, both management and housekeepers. Kudos Nikko Tower! - Staff was friendly and it is a well run hotel. Housekeepers were very good. All the facilities worked or if they did not, were quickly fixed. It was a convient location with lots of shops nearby. While I'm not Muslim, the music from the nearby mosque was pretty good! I wish there was less dragging of funiture over the floors by housekeepers. But that is pretty common everywhere. Oh, and I think they should remove the photo of Samia Saluhu Hassan from the lobby. No one likes her and she is now considered universally a disgrace! I don't want to see her face ever again!
• Rafa (8/5): Good stay in Daressalam - This hotel is very close to the harbor and located in a neighborhood with strong Indian-Tanzanian influences. Check-in was seamless, and I received an internet code for two days, which can only be verified on one device. Otherwise, the cleanliness and quality of sleep were satisfactory. The breakfast offers several Indian-Tanzanian options, all of which were delicious. Overall, a good hotel for one night with very good connections. Unfortunately, the connection strength on the 5th floor was a bit weak, causing the connection to drop occasionally. The windows aren't airtight, which is clearly noticeable from the volume of the muezzin's call to prayer.

The breakfast is amazing, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. No issues getting a ride from there to anywhere in the city. A lot of food choices around.

Since I was checking out at 2:45a the next morning, I was invited to have my free breakfast in advance. • The furnishings are nice, very comfortable bed. • Excellent air conditioning. • Kamil (10/5): Exceptional - The place is excellent value for budget travellers. It offers bigger rooms than comparable hotels in the area, definitely cleaner and quieter than many. I got upgraded to a balcony room upon request. The breakfast was satisfactory, and the free streetside parking was very useful. I'm making it my regular spot from now on They do not have a restaurant yet, but I was told that they're getting a chef from India to reopen their restaurant. TV needs more channels.
