• Kenneth (8/5): Comfortable stay for our first visit to Phnom Penh - Location was great, close to many good restaurants and the Independence Monument. Our Junior Suite was spacious and had the basic amenities for our 6 night stay. The room was serviced and water bottles replaced daily. The room and fittings were a bit old, as mentioned by others but it didn't affect the stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food available for breakfast was very similar every day but it was enough to provide a hearty meal every morning, especially the eggs and noodles cooking stations. AC in the room was noisy. Only 1 lift servicing the whole building but it didn't cause much delay while we were there.

• Martin (8/5): My experience at the hotel was good. - The breakfast is good and the location is excellent many different restaurants in the area. The staff is extremely good and helpful. The doorbell in my room would sound off spontaneously and two attempts were before it was fixed.

There is just one lift so you have to wait quite a bit. The hotel feels haunted and lonely. I really don’t understand how the rating is so high. Don’t trust it.

I got in earlier than the prescribed check-in and the Staff was very accommodating. Wait less than 20 mins for my room! It was certainly value for money based on location and breakfast was provided.

• Russell (8/5): Great value for money, friendly staff and a central location. Four and a half stars out of five. - The Katari Hotel offers great value for money and a central location. While it may be a little older than some hotels, the rooms are clean, have aircon and comfortable beds. I've stayed there for business trips over the years for the past 15 years. It's not a luxury hotel, but it has everything you need for a business trip at an affordable price. The buffet breakfast has continental and Asian food selections. The gym and the rooftop swimming pool are great features as well. Each room receives 2 bottles of water each day, and fresh towels. Virtually all the plugs points can take international plugs so there's no need for adapters. Some of the facilities are looking a little tired, but for the price they are adequate. There's is a lot of construction going on in the area, but that's a common problem all over Phnom Penh.

Lots of choice I liked especially the fresh tropical fruit and the eggs made to order there was also plenty of other dishes to choose from and fresh baguettes The pool area is lovely on the 12 floor relaxing after a busy day looking at the sights the location was good too walking distance to the Independence Monument for example and around the corner from Browns a great coffee place. The bedlinen was nice too The staff always were friendly and helpful. Thank you! That I had to leave!
