- Barbara (10/5): Couldn't have asked for a more welcoming and comfortable stay. - This is a very stylish property , elegant and quirky. Lots of spaces to sit comfortably and relax. Almost hidden away behind a discreet entrance, only a handful of rooms so the experience feels very personal. Fantastic freshly prepared to order breakfast , with lovely service from the owner. Amazing aircon - by the far the best we experienced throughout 3 weeks of travelling in Italy in August! If you enjoy something a little more interesting, appreciate quiet elegance and a warm attentive welcome this is an oasis of calm in the middle of the city.
- andrea (10/5): ottimo - Hotel di chame molto curato. arredamento, stanza super cozy e eleganti
- Yotam (2/5): Good location, bad management, gave us a smaller room than we paid for and didn't say anything - Location was good Room was a lower tier than we paid for, they didn't tell us. Only after looking at our booking did we notice that. We called them and asked for the room we booked and they said sorry all booked. We said we weren't going to stay a second night and they agreed to refund the second night and the difference in room costs. It's over a month and still waiting for the refund they promised.
Spent one night in the room and could hear the person in the room next to us talking all night on the phone. When they finally went to bed we had the pleasure of listening to them snore until 5 in the morning. Mattress was not super comfortable, but the room was clean. No elevator, so 2nd floor (3rd in North America) was a hike with luggage.
Grazie ancora
- Julia (9/5): - The size and the decoration of the rooms is great! Everything was carefully thought out. It's truly beautiful. Having a coffee machine in the room is a nice touch. The location was also very good! In the garage, you have to park one behind the other. We were worried about leaving the key because it was a rental car. But nothing major. Mattresses, for older people, may not be so comfortable.
- Maggie M (10/5): A memorable stay at a unique place in Treviso - It's been wonderful to wake up here. Treviso is quiet. Our large room had everything that we needed.
Maison Matilda is our kind of place, just 6 rooms and filled with collectables from all over the world. But the care and the attention from Viviana is why we will go back. We talked every morning at breakfast, a fresh breakfast that she would prepare and serve, along with the frothiest cappuccini that we have tasted in Italia!
Viviana is a fellow global soul, with great stories of life lived in different places and a fantastically warm way with guests. She's the perfect host. We didn't want to leave!

- Terrence (8/5): - We liked the property and thought it was charming. However, there were a couple of issues that bothered us. As far as our room, the bathroom sink faucet knob was broken and the wash basin was all broken. The room needed more light as it was very dark. Aside from our room, the property was very nice and exuded warm. The only other bummer for us was upon checking out. Breakfast was included with the price of the room. The morning we checked out we requested coffee and were told that there was no place to sit as all the tables were taken. Despite having nowhere to sit, we could have been offered coffee and sat elsewhere as there were many public areas within the property.

- Susan (8/5): Our stay was short but we enjoyed our time a the hotel and the area. - The hotel owners - Viviana and Emiliano - were warm, friendly, and helpful with lots of advice about where to eat and places to go. Our room was lovely and the hotel itself was well curated easy to navigate. Even when the owners weren't present, they were responsive and it was easy to check-in and check-out. Maison Matilda is in a great location and very close to key attractions which was one of the reasons why we chose this small hotel. We would come back the next time we are in Treviso. There is no elevator but it is easy to reach each floor and we did not have large, heavy luggage.

- TMT (10/5): Ein sehr besonderes Hotel in einer idealen Lage! - Wundervolle Gastgeber. Große elegante Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück. Tolle Lage.
- Helgi (10/5): -
- Hynes (10/5): Great stay in Treviso - The breakfast was wonderful, the room was cozy and comfortable.
Rien.
- Viktoras (1/5): - Luxury I strongly advise caution when booking this hotel.
Despite repeated requests, the hotel refused to issue a proper invoice (fattura) even though the billing details were provided in advance.
We were unfortunately involved in a car accident during our trip and urgently needed the correct invoice for our insurance reimbursement. The hotel ignored our messages and refused to cooperate, leaving us with direct financial damage.
This was a very disappointing experience in terms of transparency, professionalism, and customer care.
- Piotr (10/5): -
- Craig (3/5): - Location was close to centre however the street felt unsafe with young men on bicycles and graffiti. Room was dirty. Bin in bathroom was full. Ashtray on terrace two cigarette stubs. Terrace overlooked dismal courtyard. Shower tray didn't empty so stood in dirty water. Shower door broken. Mattress old and lumpy. No main light only table light so in a big room not sufficient. Owner did not mention that there would be an additional charge of 30 euros to park in their garage overnight. Gave the impression they were being kind as street not safe for our car. Overall the accommodation was tired and overpriced.
- flavia (8/5): -
- Florian (10/5): - Sehr schönes Interieur, frisch zubereitetes Frühstück. Sehr ruhige Lage.
- mARIA (8/5): -
- Natalia (1/5): - Avoid this hotel — dishonest and unprofessional behavior
I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. My reservation was cancelled by the hotel, not me. After they informed me last minute that there was no parking space available (even though I had planned my trip around that), I asked for an alternative — which they failed to provide. Instead of resolving the issue, they cancelled my booking without my consent.
I have written proof that they agreed to refund me, yet they are now trying to blame me for the cancellation and refuse to process the refund. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional — it feels like a scam.
Avoid at all costs unless you want to be left stranded with no support and out of pocket.
- Dilek (4/5): Many technical problems - The location is good There were no hot water in shower the first morning. I tried to call contact people but there were no answer. I had my shower with cold water. The next day they fixed it.
- Vladyslav (10/5): Absolutely perfect from start to finish. - The host greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel like we were at home right away. The old residence is beautifully designed with so much attention to detail, and clean. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from everything we wanted to see. What truly impressed us was the way our host faced any kind of requests . Breakfast personalised, as we asked at check in,, fresh, local . We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. 10/10, can’t wait to return! The host greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel like we were at home right away. - Julie (10/5): Fabulous location and beautiful hotel - Beautiful hotel with exquisite rooms
The owners of the property could not have been more helpful Absolutely nothing
- Marjan (10/5): Exceptional - Super sweet owners, nice structure, room was very comfortable and quiet! Also the location was very convenient, close to some nice bars and restaurants! Would definitely recommend for a stay while flying in and out of Treviso or for visiting Venice

- Sally (10/5): Very enjoyable relaxing break in a beautiful hotel boutique hotel - Location ,style of property, cleanliness and friendliness
- Stuart (7/5): A lovely hotel, beautifully designed and greeted with a warm welcome - The design is lively and the friendly service Not much. Great little place and good value for money
- Mattia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristen (8/5): Nice stay but not really a true B&B or hotel. - The location was perfect for exploring Treviso. The suite we had was large and comfortable. There was a fridge with drinks in the room. It was a quiet location. When we finally did check in at 2:30pm, it was easy and straightforward. Safe and secure. We overall enjoyed our stay, there were just a few negatives. We didn't realize that the booking we made on Booking.com didn't include breakfast. Also, there was no hot water when we arrived (they had forgotten to turn it on, so it took about 1.5 hours for it to become hot). We asked for an early check in, but unfortunately did not receive one. The bathrooms and bedrooms/ linens were very clean, but there were some cobwebs and the shower curtain needed to be replaced (stained). These were not huge deals but were nonetheless surprising given the cost of the room.
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good -
- Lori (10/5): We recently had the opportunity to visit Treviso Italy and stayed at the Maison Matilda. Viviana and Emiliano were wonde - We loved the staff, unique property, comfortable and spacious
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Beautifully furnished and conveniently located near the centre The lighting can feel a little low and moody

- David (10/5): Luxurious boutique hotel for a lovely weekend in Treviso - Great location in the centre of Treviso, quiet and comfortable hotel with lovely decoration. Terrific staff, really friendly and helpful.
- Rik (4/5): Never again, why do you book a room when it is not available ? BOOKING ? - nothing, arrived there at 8PM and door bells/entrance did not work. Even mobile number on the entrance was not responded. Finally, had to start making loud banging on the door and windows to get the indication of the ward. This is not a 4 starr class hotel, max a 3 star hostel ! No elevator, extremely hot on top floors, airco's not working. booked room (luxury with balcony) WAS NOT AVAILABLE despite the booking confirmation and cost !! Had to move to the attick room, almost with no view. As I am claustrofobic, this was one of the most unpleasant experiences in my hole life. A lot of apologies from the owner, referring to a mistake in the BOOKING folders (?), but that did not make any difference further. Offering me an additional free night by the owner (the mistake was obvious) does not help either.
- Alisdair (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice old style rooms. Run by a very nice Italian family. Great location in Treviso and good base to visit other areas.
- Jurgita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rinaldas (10/5): Luxury and confortible - Very stylish hotel, old in the good way. Expensive designer leather furniture , amazing location. Vivian was a helpful host. No parking LOT, but 15 min away near stadium you can find it free of charge .
- Michael (10/5): Great place to stay in the centre of Treviso, warm welcoming and beautiful house! - Received a phone call during the day before our arrival by Viviana the owner, letting us know they re ready to welcome us on arrival. There was a receptionist that was awaiting us and took care of our luggage and assisting parking our car in their garage. The entire house was clean and in order, the room was a great size with natural sun and warm! We were luckily for us, the only guests in the house that night and had the enire place to ourselves and enjoyed a peaceful quiet evening. Viviana was great to meet us in the morning with coffee and croissants for breakfast. Vivian is super welcoming and a great host! Maybe a little more of a breakfast spread, but its understandable as we were the only guests, so anything we wanted for breakfast Viviana was willing to provide... A traditional Italian breakfast of cappuccino, croissants and a cigarette was fine for us... :-)
- Raymond (10/5): Gorgeous room in a central location - Room was gorgeous with a great bathtub. Hotel very central and convenient. Viviana was extremely helpful and obliging and went above and beyond for us. All good.
- Benedetta (9/5): Perfect location and clean stylish room - Very convenient location close to the center. Cozy design style. Room and bathroom were clean and curated. Nice breakfast room. Room was a little too dark, we could bearly see our clothes in the closet. No bedside table, because the room was quite narrow.
- Yerlan (8/5): Very good - Good location. Everything is OK.Thanks to the staff.
- Anthony (10/5): Treviso is a classy place. Viviana and the experience at Maison Matilde epitomises and elevates it’s consummate style - The genuine welcome , care and cheer from Viviana was superb.
Comfort and style.
- Joan (10/5): A comfortable and happy stay in a beautiful property in a beautiful town. - Viviana our host was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. It is a lovely old property beautifully renovated and decorated. The location was perfect. Nice toiletries provided in stylish bathroom. The only reason we marked facilities down slightly is because we found the room slightly dark. As it’s an old property it has that tendency and an overhead light would have helped us when we were packing in the evening before departure. It was a small point in an otherwise delightful stay.
- Nikola (1/5): Bad -
- Aleksander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrey (8/5): Great location and decent place to stay - There can't be a better location. You are in the very center of Treviso. And it's a very pleasant town. Also, the staff is amazing - very helpful, friendly, and fun to talk to. We got some wine and prosecco when we arrived, which is always welcome. There are just 6 rooms, so if you don't like people - it's an ideal place to stay:) Might come back when I'm in Treviso next time. Which is likely to happen in 2024. My bed was really uncomfortable, but this is typical for Italy, France and Spain. Also, breakfast wasn't the best, but I'm not the guy who likes to eat at 8 AM anyway. And my bathroom wasn't the easiest to use, but I'm 199 cm tall, so this planet is often not built for me anyway. All of that is quite trivial compared to the upsides though.
- Sandra (10/5): We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again. - The location was great, near the Cathedral. The property is beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed breakfast very much. Viviana was very nice. When I told her my plans to see Venice for a short visit were cancelled due to a strike by train unions, she offered to drive me to Venice, about a 45 minute drive. I'm convinced she meant it! She also arranged a taxi to take us to Marco Polo airport. I whole-heartedly recommend Maison Matilda. Nothing.
- Madis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vladimir (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful boutique experience in the center of Treviso. - Small, intimate setting, beautiful decor, super friendly host. We were here as a group of cycling friends from the US, Canada, and Germany and felt very well looked after.
- Vladimir (9/5): Superb -
- Juliana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gurdev (10/5): Madison Matilda was the perfect place to stay in the Veneta area - I could not recommend it enough. - The hotel was in a very cute, quiet area of Treviso which was absolutely lovely to stay in. The hotel felt safe, very comfortable and unique, clean and most importantly- welcoming and homey! The host was exceptionally sweet, welcoming, and made us feel just at home. She went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay, and even drove us to the train station as we were running late! I have never had such a wonderful host experience. I highly highly recommend Madison Matilda! Not a single thing. Everything was amazing.
- Mitchell (9/5): It was a super location and the hospitality was incredible. Our room had a little patio that I loved. Super communicati - Quiet, clean, and attentive to GF Diet. Shower water pressure was amazing, but did not stay hot
- Róbert (5/5): It was a mistake to book this place. - We arrived at 12 h; but it was not possible to get into the room and leave the car in the garage. We had to wait until 14:30 , exactly, not even 5 minutes before. On the other side we could not leave the place as we planned as the car of the owner blocked the way out from the garage. We had to wait appr. 20-30 minutes until the way became free. The garage costed us 25 euros/ day.
We booked the room with breakfast, wich was terrible poor.
- Sue-hing (9/5): Very enjoyable , - Easy to access , quiet , spacious . Sabrina was excellent on breakfast It was great - a few more coat hangers perhaps
- Shirley (9/5): Superb - A beautiful boutique hotel, spacious rooms, lots of shared spaces inside and out. Breakfast was nice with a la carte extras available if you wanted. Great location close to main shopping, restaurants and bars. Fridge full of complimentary water a real bonus. Hot water in shower not that hot.....Luke warm which was ok in the heat but hotter water would have been nicer.
- Konstantin (10/5): Fantastic and amazing - Everything Nothing to complain
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous linens and a very friendly welcome Nothing!
- Gilly (7/5): Hotel is superb, so too, the location - I had been advised that the breakfast was exceptional and included when infact only the bread croissant and jam is. At the very least include some of the delicious Italian cheeses and proscuitto and tomatoes - wouldn't cost much! The hospitality wasn't too welcoming
- Aleksander (10/5): Great place, lovely people! - Very nice place with warm and helpful stuff. Apartment is located just in the old town. Higly recomended!
- Flavio (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, accessible by car and at the same time very close to the pedestrian area of the historic center.Very kind and helpful staff.
- Bee (7/5): Experiencing Treviso -❤️ - The position of the Hotel was fantastic for us. It was close to the people we were traveling with.
There was a grocery store, bakery, coffee cafe, market, restaurants, piazza, and shops all within walking distances. We loved that we could walk everywhere around Treviso.
The hotel itself was lovely. It had that boutique, luxury feel to it, as its decor, collectic look, and lighting gave a real sense of warmth. The gorgeous fragrance on entering from the front door was divine.
The staff were friendly. Breakfast was great, and the service was welcoming. Viviana was super helpful with organizing anything we may have needed to find or where to go.
We liked that we had privacy within our room, but if you wanted to go to the courtyard or lounge areas, you had the opportunity to chat to staff or other guests. My major concern was the Air Conditioning Issue. It worked fine for the first few days.
We had days of 30-32 degrees outside, and our aircon was 27.8. We asked the staff about it, and they placed a fan in our room, but we came back from being out. It was still 27.8, and we sat in sweat.
They had the man come to look at it, we were asked not to touch it, the temperature would come down. After a bad night of heat & little sleep, 24-48 hrs later, it did come down to 24.3, and a day later, it dropped to 23 degrees.. We remained with that temperature and a fan going day & night for the duration of our stay. It also started dripping water, which meant I was putting towels down on the floor at the end of our bed as the floor was slippery.
I know there can be issues with equipment, but I would have liked the issue to have been fixed & working efficiently, because we had full on days out in the heat & having a room which offers you relief was what we wanted, not a cold showers in the afternoon and night.
I know there were apologies, but i felt there should have been an offer of compensation as we paid a lot of money to stay there for 10 days.
There was a day when staff did not replenish any towels, and we had to ask for those.

- Domas (5/5): Passable - Good location Normal breakfast, only sweet pastry
- Mahmood (10/5): we will not hesitate to stay there in future, it also has parking facility and managed by lovely family who do everythin - very conveniently located, clean, well managed and lovely furniture setting It felt that you were staying at your own home.
- Sarah (9/5): Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Treviso, hope to return soon - Lovely and clean, lots of character in the decor and in a great location for airport. Owners were really helpful when our train was delayed by 5 hours which meant we couldn’t get to the property until really late. Not being able to spend more time there due to delays 🙁
- Liis (10/5): We recommend! -
- Thea (2/5): Very poor - Location is good, the hotel decor is tasteful and the room (I had the superior room in the loft) was beautiful (if a little dark) Myriad problems - and i am writing bearing in mind this is described as a boutique, luxury hotel
1) Contacted the hotel beforehand to ask about parking and was told there is some near the cathedral (about 2 mins walk away). There wasn't - the cathedral area was very busy, the parking is all street parking with confusing signs (to a non-Italian). After driving around I (eventually) found a multi-story 20 mins walk away.
2) Breakfast - possibly the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. This is a 'boutique' hotel and particularly in Italy I would have a decent variety of local produce. The buffet selection was literally 3 pieces of fruit (for about 6 people at breakfast at that point in time), 3 generic supermarket cereals - none of which were healthy, some milk and some homemade yoghurts. No bread, no pastries - nothing else. I had asked for breakfast from 7.30 (typically 8-10 but there is an option to bring it forward), when I arrived at the breakfast room at 7.30 was told there was no other options because they don't open until 8 (the same woman told me this that I asked for an early breakfast from). I asked for poached eggs on toast and got 2 eggs and some white, supermarket sliced toast. It was dreadful.
3) This is a small hotel with 5 rooms, Check in after 14.30. I arrived at 14.00 and was let in but it was explained the managers weren't around and I had to wait - that was fine but the person who let me in then called the managers indicating there was some kind of problem (there wasn't). Consequently I had 2 very flustered managers arriving. I don't know how difficult it would be to have someone at the property all the time. Later there seemed to be 3 managers which seemed far too many.
4) No shower cap, cotton wool etc in the bathroom just large shampoo. conditioner and shower gel which don't fit on the shower tray.
- Nicola (7/5): Great location and friendly staff. - the location was very central and an easy walk to the town centre.Lots of restaurants near by.The outside courtyard was good to have an early evening drink in the fresh air.Staff were friendly and helpful.Fabulous antique pieces of furniture. There is parking too, although 25euros per day. We found two dirty glasses in our room and the plug would not release in the Bathroom basin.Room a bit dark.
- Laszlo (10/5): perfect location, very friendly personal - Vivianna was great! very nice breakfast
