• paul-richard (4/5): schlaflos! - ich habe ein doppelzimmer seitlich in der obersten etage reserviert; bekommen haben wir ein 4 bettzimmer zur lauten hauptgasse hin. unten im lokal gab es die 1/2 nacht ohrenbetäubende musik; leute gingen zudem zum rauchen hinaus und redeten dort sehr laut. trotz telefonischer intervention, keine veränderung; auch keine rückmeldung der dame mit der wir uns über das problem unterhalten haben/ anders als sie es uns versprochen hatte!!! siehe oben!

What The Lubo fails to tell you is that their "cafe" (Rokka) on the ground floor becomes a dance bar at 8pm on a Saturday night and BLARES loud music everywhere throughout the building until after midnight. This particularly afflicts those rooms on the same ground floor where some unfortunate guests may be staying. Oh, and the bathrooms for the dance bar are also right outside the guest bedrooms, so plenty of opportunity to hear the drunken conversations/activities of the bar's patrons. I travel a lot. This is the first bad review I have ever given. The Lubo conned me out of CHF 250 for a night's stay that would be better advertised as a CHF 50 youth hostel.

• Werner (8/5): Toller Aufenthalt Mitten in der Luzerner Altstadt - Die Lage ist gut. Das Personal können wir nicht beurteilen, da wir aufgrund des Self Checkin keinen Kontakt hatten. Das Zimmer war in Richtung Hauptgasse und entsprechend lärmig. Self Checkin war eine Herausforderung.

• Hui-Min (10/5): - Check-in was a little confusing at the beginning, because there were no counter or staffs. But once you read through the instructions, it was so easy and fast. The room was nice and even with a kitchen. The location was excellent too. The light in the bathroom was not bright enough, but it's clean so not much of a problem.
• Christine (8/5): - Our studio 'attic' room on the 6th floor was very comfortable and spacious, nicely furnished. The windows opened, and there were interesting views across rooftops. The self check in was easy to follow, and we mastered the We-wash app fir the washing machine. The Rokka Cafe staff were helpful, and their noodle dishes yummy and value for money. We recommend The Lubo. The sixth floor had no lift access but a sizeable staircase with heavy bags. The information on access should be clearer as unlikely small lift would take a wheel chair. The hallways are also quite narrow with steps here and there. Thanks.
• Emad Hey (6/5): Great room but staff interactions in person is rude - The room was great overall. It had everything needed for cooking, comfortable bed, high quality TV that can be used both from the couch and bed. It also had a chromecast which was handy. The room was spacious. The location was good. After check-out, we were able to leave our luggage in storage room which was helpful. The staff were responsive and polite through messages on booking.com. The check-in and check out process was smooth. 5 minutes before check-out time (11 am), staff memeber knocked our door and then opened the door half way without asking for a permission as a reminder to us to check out at 11. We've never experienced this before and found it extremely rude and inappropriate. This incident changed our experience and left a bad taste as we left. We met 1-2 staff and they barely said hi which to us is considered rude and unwelcoming. We went to the restaurant and bar and immediately we were told the restaurant is closed even though half of the place was full of people and all doors were open. We understand that they were about to close but the way they communicated, was somewhat rude and again unwelcoming. We had to deduct the ratings due to these negative interactions.

• Allison (9/5): Unique comfort room with nice extras and good vibes. - This was a great location overall. We loved the vibe of the building. We had a corner room (106) with lots of windows on the 1st floor (europe 1st) and there were quite a few steps. But worth the haul. Room was clean with lots of unique touches. Kitchenette was well-stocked and frig was big by hotel standards. Bathroom was nice and well-stocked but no outlet for blow-drying hair. Paid Laundry was nice (detergent included) but better communication/instructions would be nice for how the system works. Two washers and one dryer are labeled well so easy to reserve on the app. But other machine is washer/dryer combo and is not labeled. FYI, W3/T2 in app. No onsite staff per se but staff in attached cafe are helpful and provided extra towels when we needed them. Called the number for receptionist (not onsite) to ask a question and they were great. Housekeeping staff were responsive. No outlet in bathroom. Laundry a little confusing. Not a “dislike” but lack of onsite reception added a slight degree of difficulty.

Apparently, in Lucerne there is a free visitor card for tourists who stay here. The hotel didn’t send it to us, even though it was supposed to be emailed. And when we contacted them to request the card, they refused.

• Marta (8/5): Great Location and Comfortable Stay, with Room for Improvement - Overall, we found the accommodation to be very good, and the location is without a doubt outstanding. However, the sound insulation leaves quite a bit to be desired, as there was noticeable noise during the night. Improved soundproofing would be an important enhancement. Additionally, the regulation of the water temperature in the shower does not work perfectly. That said, if I return to Lucerne, I would definitely consider staying at this accommodation again.

• ALEXANDRA (9/5): Εξαιρετικό ! - Βρίσκεται σε ιδανική τοποθεσία , ακριβώς στο κέντρο της Λουκέρνης . Καθαρό, ήσυχο , πολύ η κρύα διακοσμημένο και προσφέρει δυνατότητα προετοιμασίας γευμάτων . Το καφέ Rokka βρίσκεται ακριβώς από κάτω και είναι εξαιρετικό (κάνει ακόμα και Fredo espresso). Για όσους έχετε αυτοκίνητο , σας συνιστώ να παρκάρετε στο γκαραζ parkhaus Altstadt το οποίο βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά , είναι οικονομικό για δεδομένα Ελβετιας και διαθέτει και σταθμό φόρτισης ηλεκτρικών οχημάτων . Θα το ξαναπροτιμησουμε ! Η κουζίνα θα πρέπει να εξοπλιστεί με περισσότερα σκεύη .

• Lizzy (7/5): Central location, poor communication, rude staff interaction, and noise at night. - The location is excellent, right in the city center and very convenient to explore the city by foot. The self check-in system is convenient. The room itself was fine for a short stay. After booking, the hotel informed me that instructions would be sent a few days before arrival, but I never received them. I followed up and was told I would receive them on the morning of arrival, but again I didn't receive any instructions or entry code. When I arrived, the main hotel door has a keypad, so I thought a code was needed and went to the café as instructed in case of help was needed. From the café there is another door to the hotel that guests also use for breakfast, so I entered there and started the self checkin. Unfortunately, a staff member from the café, who appeared to be a café manager, approached me while I was doing the self checkin and immediately asked “What are you doing?” in a rude manner instead of offering help. He told me I should not enter through that door because it's closed at night, even though I arrived in the morning and that door is also used by hotel guests to access the café for breakfast. I understand that the café door may not be the official entrance; however, this could have been explained in a polite way, and clearer instructions should have been provided before arrival to avoid confusion. As he finished speaking, he put his hand at the side of my shoulder, which felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. He didn't allow me to explain and left without offering help. This made the arrival experience very uncomfortable. I would recommend the hotel improve communication after booking and ensure staff communicate with guests in a more polite and helpful way. The kitchen lacks utensils. There was only one pot and one pan, and the pan was very old with the coating already worn off and basically unusable. I would recommend the hotel invest in a few stainless steel pots and pans that will last longer. Because the hotel is central, it is noisy at night, especially on weekends. Plus, the cafe/bar had a party over the weekend which was loud.

• laura (8/5): Prezzo un po' alto ma soggiorno davvero piacevole - L'hotel è davvero bello, ho apprezzato molto la lavanderia la cucina comune ed il bar. La camera era davvero particolare, perfetta per noi con bimbi piccoli. Forse manca qualche utensile per cucinare e una macchina da caffè. In generale è stato tutto perfetto anche la posizione a parte la pulizia, con un bambino che gattona è fondamentale ( sotto al letto c'era....di tutto...) La pulizia delle camere

The staff very nice and helpful. We even managed to do our laundry hassle free since we are travelling Europe. Loved our stay. Nothing.

The cafe downstairs was convenient The kitchen had no coffee making facilities. Very frustrating in the morning. The was no saucepans or microwave to heat milk … if we could have made coffee! Solo un piccolo dettaglio migliorabile: un po’ di polvere qua e là ma nulla che comprometta l’esperienza complessiva.

The kitchenette made it easy to stay within our dining budget! The only down side was the laundry services. We’d gotten the WeWash app as suggested by the Lubo’s app but the washers were NOT efficient. 2.5hours to wash? 2hrs to dry? At the end of the dry we had to take still damp clothes and hang them in our room.

• Hélène (8/5): - Nous connaissons cet hôtel que nous apprécions beaucoup, la situations géographique est parfaite, la décoration de l'endroit est actuelle et de très bon goût, bref, nous n'hésitons pas à revenir à chaque séjour à Lucerne.

• Lyubomir (8/5): Overall good for our 1 night stay, but the lack of internet wasn't nice (the TV had its internet, but there wasn' - The building is super nice and at a great location. The bed was comfy and relaxing. The WiFi wasn't working and in the welcome email there was an invite to win a breakfast which wasn't working at all. The shower in our room was very "adventurous" - super hot water for a second and then cold water for another second, and then it was the temperature set for around 10 seconds. The bathroom sink was pretty unusable.
