Guest Reviews
- Saugbjerg (10/5): -
- Jaymon (10/5): Great people! Even better vibe - Comfortable and super relaxing. Room was amazing and great bed. Staff were amazing and super comforting. Travelling solo, everyone was very welcoming. I will definitely be back! N/A
- Ute (10/5): - Das Surf Camp war super ! Wir waren bei vielen verschiedenen Surf Spots je nach Level mit sehr guten Surf Coaches
- Greta (10/5): Great stay, would recommend for others - Great vibe and amazing facilities.
- Rachael (9/5): I’d stay there again. It’s quite lovely. - Really gorgeous accommodation. Everything clean and comfortable. Great spot too. They weren’t overly helpful with the shuttle service and forgot to pick me up for dinner one night.
- laura (10/5): Tres bon endroit pour personnes seules / couples / entre amis - Tout, l’ambiance de l’endroit, magnifique infrastructure propreté gentillesse, endroit exceptionnel Rien
- Triin (7/5): - Location is good. Easily walkable Slow wifi and the shower head needs a deep descaling or better yet a change
- Marion (9/5): - We stayed in the studio, and there are absolutely amazing ! Nothing

- Arnoldas (10/5): - Staf, they are really nice Bathroom needs renovation
- Flavio (9/5): - The private bungalow is amazing and just renovated. I didn’t tried the surf lesson because I got a food poisoning in another restaurant (the kitchen at the place is really good). The staff is really caring and helpful

- Michaela (10/5): Príjemné a tiché ubytovanie v blízkosti centra Uluwatu. Krásne navrhnutý interiér. Keďže sme ostalu veľmi krátko, len ce - Príjemne navrhnutý design štúdia, tiché miesto obklopené prírodou a blízko do centra skútrom. V cene, ktorá bolo trochu vyššia by sme očakávali aspoň raňajky. Inak všetko super.
- Linkan (10/5): -
- Ewout (10/5): Loved it!!! - We loved to stay here! Ayu from the staff was so kind! Very good location on nusa penida in the centre close to the east and west side. The breakfast was so good! Would recommend and would definitely come back!!
- Estelle (8/5): Nice - Clean place, very nice decor, super comfy bed and great-smelling linens. Loved that it’s just 5 minutes from the main road. The space looks bigger in photos than it really is. Also, since there are 3 studios with glass fronts, you need to keep the curtains closed for privacy. And despite being called a studio, there’s no stove, so you can’t really cook.
Overall a good stay, but a bit pricey for what it offers in Bali.
- Jennie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rashid (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Property was amazing - a dream. And the people and staff were fantastic
- Ana (9/5): Very good, lovely place in Bali. - Very well located, close to many restaurants and nice cafes. The room was super nice and well decorated. Staff was friendly and helpful, accomodating all our needs. We only missed having a blackout curtain, in the morning the room was very bright.
- Ines (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ida (9/5): Superb - Beautiful place and amazing and helpful staff, both reception, waiters and surf coaches. Delicious pancakes Due to ongoing constructions it was pretty noisy, specially in
the morning
- Marcin (5/5): Passable - Cosy houses Limited water or it was breakdown
- Lilja (10/5): Exceptional - A nice clean studio, good value for money. The place is located 5 min walk from the main street. Very helpful staff and good service.
- Mihkel (9/5): Superb - Really liked the community vibe of the stay. Everyone has private small houses/bungalows to live in but in the evening there is dinner together, people go out to surf together and watch live music in evenings. Great for meeting new people from all over the world
- Alex (8/5): Very good - A lovely quiet location, with nice pool and lovely large rooms. I didn’t have a scooter, you need a scooter, it’s a good walk back to the main shops.
- Teagan (5/5): It was okay - The studio appartments were beautiful There was so many ants and only one air conditioner at the top which didn’t cool down the whole place
- Jim (9/5): Superb -
- Anika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (10/5): Worth repeating. - Their attention to detail is on point, and the atmosphere, location and facilities are excellent. No complaints, and a lot to praise.
- Lucas (8/5): Good option for a surf camp - Beautiful little peace haven with a luxurious garden, very nice swimming pool, it feels like a little peaceful retreat. I liked the staff, which was very kind, being the receptionists, kitchen staff and surf instructions. The bungalow is quite spatious (I was able to lay down on mat and do some stretches and light exercises without touching walls or bed) and has powerful AC. The soundproofing of the room isn't great, we can hear the nearby roads and scooters quite a lot. The bathroom feels a bit sloppy; it smells, the water pipes have an irregular water flow, and the floor isn't even which made my partner hit her toe against one of the tiles. The place isn't perfectly closed off from the outside so some mosquitoes/animals can get in (like a lizard, which pooped on our bed the first day)
The restaurant breakfast (which isn't included) and lunch is good although not wow, and a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in Uluwatu.
The hotel itself is in a bit of a maze 10/15 mn walk from the town; there's a "shortcut" path through the jungle to get to the road faster but it's full of mosquitoes and litter, watch out when you go there.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious modern room, nice pool and garden, well maintained Nothing to complain
- Norbert (8/5): Very good -
- Piers (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet place, directly in the nature and caring and super friendly staff Everything was perfect :-)
- Hao (5/5): Passable - cute property toilet stinks. The pipes are old and stunk
- Mariela (5/5): Passable - At night there was a terrible noise from motorbikes, people screaming. An incredibly disturbing noise every night. The location is bad also. The rooms are ok. Do not rely on any food service availability on property. All they had was instant oatmeal.
- Madeleine (10/5): 10/10 for everything - Beautiful quiet area. The greenery makes it so magical. Absolute pleasure to stay here. The small cafe on site is also some of the best cafe food in the area
- Marcus (5/5): Caveat emptor - It was clean, but not much else unfortunately. Writing this review as I feel it's important for fellow travellers to be aware of the age demographic. We booked Tamuku and were greeted with 'Welcome to Cari' when we arrived. At first I thought we'd been dropped at the wrong place, but it turns out we'd booked ourselves into a surf camp. Initially this didn't phase us as I've stayed in plenty of surf camps and resorts over the years. But now we're in our early 50s and prefer to stay in quiet areas.
Unfortunately Tamuku/Cari was anything but quiet even though some reviews suggested it was. There is constant noise from the busy road that is separated by around 100m of bushland. Motorbikes, trucks etc run 24/7, this would be ok if the rooms were sealed properly, but unfortunately the roof just sits on the brickwork and the noise enters the room and travels into the open roof cavity which seems like the traffic is just outside your door. Add to that mosquitos that enter and the lack of mosquito nets, we were scratching ourselves the entire 3 days we stayed. Some PU expanding foam would go a long way here!!
The staff engaged with the learn to surf squad every night drinking and singing which was ok as they finished relatively early around 9-10pm. What became evident was that the Surf Camp is for a much younger demographic and we were simply staying in the wrong place. So if you're in your 20s or 30s it's probably a great place for you, if not, I'd recommend somewhere down the road in Bingin where you'll get a good nights sleep without all the road noise.
- Chrissy (9/5): Superb -
- Bianca (10/5): Quiet & luxury gateway in Uluwatu - Very comfortable and clean room in quiet and green surroundings, kind staff either a lot of activities to offer. Definitely recommend and wish I’d stay longer! Nothing :)
- Casey (8/5): Very good - Great atmosphere & vibe. Beautiful gardens pool & staff
- Casimir (6/5): Pleasant -
- Francesco (10/5): Perfect stay if you want to chill and surf in Uluwatu! - The room is big and comfortable. Very close to the main restaurants, cafe and Bambu Gym. Staff is friendly and helpful. Surf school coaches are great and there is a good vibe everyday!
- Kaspars (8/5): Very good -
- Cosmin-ionut (6/5): Not worth the money - The location is nice, outside the main area and it has a lot of potential. The room and bathroom are big and it has AC. It has a nice vibe of "camp" with songs and strangers spending time with each other First of all in the bathroom it smells really bad from some kind of pills they put there to neutralize other bad smells. The pool was nice, but quite dirty most of the days. They seem to no care too much about the visitors - their main focus is being a surfing camp. It's not recommended to walk from there to the main area of Uluwatu because there are lots of dogs on the way and it's completely dark. There are better options for these money
- Maya (7/5): Amazing location!! Good vibes & nice staff, but not sure about the value for money suitability - The room was spacious (with an attached bathroom), and the staff was very nice and welcoming.
Amazing location - right at the center of Uluwatu (close to all of the shops, restaurants), but remote enough to be intimate, 3 mins drive from the main road. The towels were quite dirty, and the room wasn't fully sealed, which means that there are a lot of bugs, mosquitos and even small lizards that kept coming in and out of the room (through the ceiling).
In addition, there was missing a comfortable place to sit in the room (meaning, except for the bed) - which is quite necessary IMO.
- Luke (8/5): Amazing stag - Beautiful villas, lovely pool and facilities Location a little bit of a walk from main road, best to hire a scooter
- Faiz (8/5): Very good -
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chelsea (10/5): Excellent - The hotel is beautiful! I was shocked when I arrived at how nice it is.
I looked at staying extra days but sadly they were fully booked!
I would 100% recommend it - easy walking distance to local cafes/shops etc or 3min moped ride. The only thing was I was unaware of any group activities or surf lessons. No member of staff gave me any advice about the area, or the accommodation..
A neighbour of the villa told me about a BBQ so that was isolating.
- Maria-yoana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alvise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simira (9/5): Superb -
- Tithey (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isidora (10/5): Great hosts, clean room, have-to-try breakfast - Amazing and spacious room Everything was great
- Paul (10/5): Quiet, comfortable little oasis! - Such a chilled place! A short walk/ scooter to the bars and restaurants but still a peaceful little oasis! Great staff and lovely food! Chef is the politest guy🤙🏼
Comfortable room and great air con! I would happily stay again
- Alberto (2/5): we had terrible experience here. avoid as there are much better alternatives at lower price. - not much here -The AC is not enough to cool down the room, prepare to feel hot
-the room was not cleaned in the day so we found it as we left
-they started cutting grass at 8 AM, waking us up...we are on holidays and would like to rest
-they charge an extra 3% for card payments
- Maddie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lali (10/5): An awesome place with great vibes! central yet hidden away from main road noise - Everything.
Dave (one of the owners) is so service oriented, attentive and always available.
The staff could not have been more warm and welcoming, always looking for ways to make the stay even better (Rudy & Wayan!)
This place offers professional surfing lessons (Al is a rockstar), yoga practices (sweet Tamie), and a great kitchen staff with various options. .
- Jemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Gracious - It was a beautiful location away from the hustle of main Bali. Unfortunately for us it turned out our grandchildren were further away than anticipated. After as chat with Dave about this he graciously refunded us the remaining time we had booked. He didn't have to as the situation was at fault on our end. Thanks Dave we really appreciated it.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rafiqua (8/5): Good accomodation centrally located - Big rooms They took forever to check me in as they said the room hadnt been cleaned yet
- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (6/5): Cute villas but underwhelming - Staff were friendly, rooms were neat and tidy. Location was only a 10 minute walk but extremely steep hills, could hear motorbikes all night.
No nice touches, only Bintangs available on site, no massage etc. for what was included was quite pricey
- Ebru (10/5): Exceptional - All in all - Perfect!
- Bryn (10/5): Really pleasant one night stay very nice room and grounds. - We only stayed one night. The room was amazing very spacious nicely decorated and very clean. Pillows were amazing so comfortable. Some really nice touches. Staff very friendly and helpful Even with late booking discount thought the price was a little on the high side but not enough to put me off recommending
- Brooke (10/5): Great place to stay, modern coastal vibes would 100% stay here again - Great place to stay, the room was beautiful coastal vibes, the place was modern, great wifi, amenities, staff were lovely, solo traveller and felt very safe, you can enrol to learn how to surf on your stay, great water pressure also and swimming pool Everything was great
If you don’t scooter or use go jet then it would be a bit of an uphill climb to get to the Main Street but that’s it
- Katarzyna (10/5): It was our 4th stay in Bali and for sure the best staff we had so far - they help you with everything. A lot of activiti - Everything
- Paige (9/5): Perfect little oasis in Uluwatu! - We loved the location - close to the main streets in Uluwatu, but far enough for peace and quiet. The room was really big and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were incredibly lovely. Bathroom needed a little love - it was clean just needs to be painted maybe to give it a bit of life. Everything was perfect otherwise!
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (1/5): Promised a refund and deleted WhatsApp messages to cover their track. - Nothing. We rented 2 rooms, one of then had gecko poop 2 days in a row. The first day we asked them to change sheets, they said we probably left the door open and a bird came in. Fine.
Second day, poop again. We look up on the roof and there is a gecko. We go to the front desk (this was 7pm) no one there. We tried contacting the owner, no answer.
We then called booking.com who called the owner, who got in touch with us.
The owner promised a refund on WhatsApp, and days after deleted the messages (you can see the “this message was deleted” on WhatsApp) promising the refund. Very low move.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay at just 10 min walking from the main streets of Uluwatu. The owners help you with everything, the accommodation is spectacular and they have a lot of activities everyday. Also amazing food! Great to meet new people and to do some surf lessons!
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff, clean, comfy and quiet rooms A bit of a walk uphill to the shops but very close by bike, although I liked how far it was because it was nice and quiet at night
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - is beautifoul and super chill, for a couple is the best. the pool area is amazing, they have a really good kitchen. just a lovely chill place to stay.
- Bonnie (9/5): Beautiful surroundings that are very well maintained. Large spacious rooms with a fridge and plenty of cupboard space. G - Beautiful surroundings that are very well maintained. Large spacious rooms with a fridge and plenty of cupboard space. Great location.
- Chantal (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (9/5): Beautiful accomodation tucked away from the main streets. - The property was so beautiful! It felt like such an oasis. the room was spacious, the bed was big and comfortable and the wifi was good. The pool was really lovely too and the air con efficient. It probably a little further off the main streets than we realised, so was a short walk to the main area. however, some people may like that. one night there was a music gig on and we could hear it very clearly so I struggled to sleep! however other times it was quiet. the shower head was fixed in a funny spot so the water sprayed out rather than down, but luckily the shower was quite big to accommodate it!
- Gökhan (8/5): Very good -
