- Nawras (5/5): Not worth it - The bed was very comfortable and the view is nice although we did have the saragassas so not the hotels fault. Food was good. The staff was nice. They brought us cookies for free which was nice. The access to the hotel was difficult as we needed to pay every day for the access to the Jaguar park where the hotel was located, been searched each time to access to the park. The room was too expensive for what it is and for the amenities we had. We needed to ask for capsules of coffee because the capsules they have need to be charged by us, which we are not used to. We paid 400 dollars a night without breakfast which was not convenient. The staff wasn’t coming at all to check if we needed anything when we are tanning in the beds of the hotel. Room cleaning was done very late as each time we came from our breakfast and errands, we needed to wait downstairs for the cleaning lady to finish the room. The hotel doesn’t have direct access to the beach, only a deck. So I don’t think the hotel was very worth it to be honest. Too many taxes and fees to pay and we didn’t enjoy that much the stay.
- Tamer (3/5): It’s too much overrated - The Location was kind of good The rooms are old
We booked the beachfront Room where the view of the Ocean is kind of blocked. The canines at the Ocean weren’t clean.
No Parking near the Hotel and a little bit far from the main Hotel jungle road

- Jorge (8/5): My stay was amazing , very accommodating - The design, rooms are extremely comfortable and private No Beach access
- Victor Y V (5/5): Overpriced average hotel in a nice quiet location - The location was really nice, in a quiet, safe area, close to the beach and not too far from where the bars and restaurants. The staff were kind and the restaurant was nice. The room/building was poorly maintained and reality didnt match the pictures on Booking. The bathroom was poorly stocked (only 1 towel per person) and the shower had very poor water pressure. The hotel even had further problems with the water and we didnt have water one of the evenings and nobody reached out to say anything, until we asked the next day and they explained they had had an issue.
Balcony door was really hard to open and close, one had to apply excessive force.
Room was big, but the only furniture was the bed and a small wooden sofa in the corner, which wasn't comfortable to sit on.
The pool was small and crammed between walls and around the restaurant, so we didnt spend any time at it. The location is also extremely windy, so the sunbeds on the rocks were not a great perk either.
For similar price, in Cancun we get a truly luxurious high end experience.
- Arjan (10/5): Incredible views, atmosphere, and food - The hotel has a beautiful design and atmosphere. The setting is amazing, right next to the water and along the jungle. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. The restaurant is 10/10. Not the hotels fault, but dealing with going in and out of Jaguar National Park is annoying.
- El Khloufi (3/5): - No pressure on the shower. Problem with toilet. Overpriced if you use anything in the room.
- Rodolfo (10/5): -
- Adrian (10/5): Very enjoyable - Staff
- Niraly (10/5): -
- Sonia (8/5): Excellent and very helpful staff. Like having access to sister hotel 7 mins walk away with beach and good restaurant. - Small, relaxed, intimate, attractive Room had no drawers or shelves for clothes.
- Lindsey (10/5): -
- Dagmar (10/5): Traumhaftes Hotel - Wunderschönes kleines Hotel in toller Lage Sehr freundliches Personal
- John (9/5): Excellent spot, amazing staff, great value. - Amazing staff! Awesome beach cabanas. It would be nice if there were more food options.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Great location, friendly and helpful staff, stylish decor - We had a wonderful stay at Mi Amor. The location is fantastic—set inside the national park, it feels peaceful and less busy, yet still close to everything. It’s about a 30‑minute walk or a quick 5‑minute bike ride to the main restaurants, with plenty of nearby hotels offering dining options too. The beach is just a 7‑minute walk away, which makes for a lovely stroll, and the Mayan ruins are easily accessible.
The staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The property was spotless, and the food was delicious, it would have been good to have more “snack” options as well. We stayed in the petit jungle room, which was cozy and beautifully designed, though the balcony space was more enclosed than expected. It was still a lovely room, but next time we’d definitely upgrade to a larger option.
Overall, Mi Amor is a gem in Tulum, and we’d happily return! No direct access to the beach but it was not an issue for us and they have lovely cabanas to enjoy.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceeded our expectations. - Mi Amor Hotel perfectly captures the magic of Tulum with its serene jungle setting and stunning ocean views. The property feels secluded and peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery that gives it an intimate, tropical vibe. Despite its jungle atmosphere, it’s just a short walk to a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach — the best of both worlds.
Service here is exceptional — attentive, warm, and genuinely personal, making every guest feel cared for without being overbearing. The food is also impressive, easily above average for the area, with creative dishes that highlight local flavors and fresh ingredients.
Overall, Mi Amor delivers on its name — it’s a place you can truly fall in love with. Ideal for couples seeking a blend of nature, comfort, and coastal luxury in Tulum. Nothing

- Ewan (9/5): -
3. A facilidade de deslocamento dentro do parque do jaguar e a disponibilidade de transporte para a estação de trem de Tulum.
- Terri (8/5): Great place to relax if you know what you want. - Staff was amazing! Especially Nahama, the charming front desk/concierge, who answered every question and helped in every way, and the restaurant/bar staff: Aurelio, Alberto, Canzana and Cincano, who could not have been friendlier. All of them made a solo trip much more comfortable. The food was superb, if a bit pricey. Highly recommend the whole fish and crudo - perfectly prepared. Also really liked the location in Jaguar Park which was super safe and had a variety of activities. The property felt tired - especially the room, which had cheaply patched floor tile, scratched wood doors, ill-fitting balcony doors. There was a mangrove field out one window with an old broken chair. Not at all what I've experienced at other SLH hotels. The phone was out; whatsapp worked well but still harder to order food, etc. The property is pretty but very small, which is OK if you'll be out every day but not as ideal if you just want to relax. The cabanas on the beach are pretty but I think they should have full beds instead of the extended chairs.
- Christine (10/5): -
- Nathalie (8/5): - - Hotel is very nice, with good facilities, nice pool and relaxing area, and amazing restaurant
- Good food at the restaurant
- The staff is very nice and professional, and super accommodating
- Room has everything you need, even the smallest details - A lot of noise in the room, especially early in the morning (e.g. street noise, room systems, etc.)
- Beach is not directly accessible from the hotel, and you need to walk 6-7 minutes to the hotel next door
- There is only one restaurant in the hotel. Other hotels have restaurants but you have to walk at night, in the dark, in the park if you want to access them, as the daily kart stops services at 17:00
- Tracy (10/5): the concierge service especially Nahama was awesome. - Everything was perfect. Honestly cant think of anything
- Tiphanie (8/5): -
- Mariam (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Everything

- Nini (10/5): -
- elizabeth (10/5): Amazing stay- second back we are back and wkll be back again - The pool area is very nice, we had a relaxing time. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, very big shower. Our stay was amazing, the only thing to maybe point out is that there isnt a beach access- but it is possible to access via public beach (5 min walk)
- Yang (3/5): - The pool is really nice, and the concierge is friendly! The restaurant services was terrible.
- joe (10/5): Comfort, premium luxury. -
- Kabir (9/5): - Excellent property and great location! The showers - the water pressure wasn’t great but it isn’t a big deal !
- Noslen (10/5): -
Camera molto bella, ben fornita e tranquillissima.
- Niki (10/5): Amazing choice! - I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The restaurant was a highlight of my trip—the food was simply superb, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The waiters were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made each meal a memorable experience—special thanks to Alberto for his outstanding service and warm personality.
The room service was prompt and excellent, and the facilities were spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay. Everything about this hotel radiates professionalism, comfort, and care for the guests. I would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a truly top-notch experience. You can not smoke in or nearby the hotel as it is in the National Park. You need to exit the park ~ 3-5 minutes by car or 15-20 minutes walking.

- colum (9/5): A wonderful, romantic, peaceful, experience of the Maya Riviera - The hotel is quiet, well run and well equipped. Many rooms have a spa bath outside, there are plenty of sun shelters overlooking a beautiful view of the sea and coastline. The food is not cheap ( the most expensive that we had in Mexico) however it was superb and worth every penny. The ‘smash burger’ was seriously the best burger I ever ate! The housekeeping staff were exceptional, and particular thanks to Felipe who went above and beyond the call of duty. Also thanks to Miriam and Tania on reception who helped with everything else. The prices for the drinks seemed unnecessarily expensive, Mezcal with the same brand was twice as expensive as in Mexico City and Merida. Also the drinks making does not match the high standards of the kitchen. They should take a few lessons from the bar staff in the sister hotel - Mezzanine - who made much better cocktails
- Ylenia (10/5): -
- Marcela (10/5): Perfect - I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Tulum. I absolutely loved the boho-chic style and natural design — it really captures the essence of the area. Everything felt carefully curated, from the decor to the outdoor spaces. One thing I didn’t love was that the hotel is located inside the protected park area, which comes with a lot of restrictions (like limited access by car, strict rules, etc.). However, being in that zone also made it feel very safe and well-preserved, which I appreciated in the end.
- Tiffani (10/5): Aesthetically beautiful and so peaceful - It’s so beautiful and such a peaceful place where you can relax, explore and reconnect. No complaints
- Victor (10/5): Stunning - Everything Na
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aleks (10/5): Exceptional -
- Díaz (10/5): Magical - It was so magical That it doesn’t have parking lot
- Pietro (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - There were so many additional extras to make you feel comfortable, from having towels in a little bag to take down to sunbathe and delicious herbal teas brought to your room before bed.
- Camile (10/5): If I could give over 5/5 stars, I would. - Beautiful property, beautiful rooms, well thought out!
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chanel (10/5): Beachfront gem in paradise. - Loved the hotel, the hotel staff, the food, the view and the proximity to the beach.
- Francois (9/5): Superb -
- Fatima (10/5): Amazing location, the staff was wonderful. I was so relaxing - The grounds were beautiful! The pool is really small
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irina (9/5): Wonderful and peaceful stay in a gorgeous hotel - I stayed for 2 days and had an amazing time at this hotel. I also got a great deal at ~$125 per night, which felt like a steal for Tulum and this beachfront location. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I didn't want to leave its grounds. The cabanas were lovely and I spent a lot of time just chilling in them, watching and listening to the sound of the ocean. The staff were lovely, too. The room was small, but clean with little touches. The bathroom was quite nice. overall, this place felt like a luxurious oasis.
If I were to come back to Tulum (which I would not because it's an unpleasant scammy place that feeds off scamming tourists left and right), I would definitely stay in this hotel! Very few things: (1) the mattress in the room was not super comfortable - I'd expect more for a 4-star hotel, (2) the food in the restaurant was decent, but overpriced. But that's not just this hotel, that's all of Tulum. The food in Tulum on the beach is a bad value: overpriced for what you get.
- Patricia (10/5): Luxury and privacy, Beautiful Boutique Hotel with Ocean vibes - Stunning Place with luxury vibes and privacy, Beautiful Pool and Ocean view, excelent Food and Service, very nice People
- Korarat (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (7/5): Good - View over the ocean was beautiful Bar staff were incredibly pushy demanding tips every time we bought anything.
Made us feel uncomfortable and we spent more time at other hotel bars and restaurants.
- Heini (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (9/5): A satisfying small luxury stay - The accommodation was beautifully decorated, and the dining area, Ocean area, pool, and lobby were also very fancily adorned.
It was great to be able to use the pools at nearby sister hotels that are part of the SLH membership.
The reception staff were very professional and friendly. An additional 415 Mexican pesos per person was required to enter Jaguar Park.(in March 2025)Once inside, everything was cleanly organized, free golf carts were provided, and it wasn’t crowded, which was nice.
However, the entrance fee has recently increased several times, making it feel unreasonably expensive.
To avoid confusion, it would be better to include it in the hotel price altogether.
When I was in the room, it was bothersome because the stairs creaked loudly whenever other guests went up them.
- Yamileth (7/5): Beautiful place and staff - Security to get into the park where the hotel is located was rude, made us feel unwelcome and they basically threatened us with not letting us back in if we left out the next day and didn’t pay over $100 to enter the park again to get to our hotel. The hotel clarified it and actually gave us credit but the park security were very unprofessional.
- Donovan (9/5): Superb -
- Ana (7/5): Beautiful location, with gorgeous food and lovely staff! - Mi Amor boasts a stunning location and outstanding service. The staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient. The food, especially the guacamole and shrimp tacos, was exceptional, and the drinks were equally impressive. The sunbeds overlooking the sea offered a perfect spot to relax, and the resident iguana added a unique touch. We also enjoyed a fantastic Thai dinner at their sister hotel, Mezzanine. A light jacket is recommended for evening dining by the sea. I would recommend renting bikes from hotel playa condeza (just a 5 minute walk along from mi amor) for £13 a day and explore the park and local town. While Mi Amor's setting is undeniably beautiful, the hotel itself fell short of expectations, particularly considering the price point. The rooms, especially the bathroom, are in dire need of an upgrade. A persistent damp smell permeated the space, and the overall facilities felt tired and outdated. I understand the challenges of maintaining a property in a jungle environment, but basic upkeep seemed lacking.
While the experience was generally peaceful, our stay was significantly impacted by inconsiderate neighbors in the room above. Every morning at 6 AM, we were abruptly awakened by loud conversations and heavy stomping on the steps. The lack of soundproofing was appalling. Given the thinness of the decking, every footstep from passersby or those using the stairs felt as though they were entering our room, creating constant disturbances. We were in room 1, and the noise was a major issue. I strongly advise the hotel to address the soundproofing, especially concerning the decking and stairways.
Thankfully, we only booked a two-night stay, as another early morning wake-up would have been unbearable. Had we been situated in an upper room, perhaps the experience would have been more tolerable. However, as it stands, I cannot recommend room 1, and I urge the hotel to invest in much-needed renovations and soundproofing improvements.
- Kdreyling (9/5): The staff was amazing and the vibe of the hotel was romantic, peaceful, and stunningly beautiful. - We could use the facilities of the sister hotels, so we ended up enjoying three hotels out of this one stay! We loved the hotel, but the bed was too soft for my husband. It was nice being in the park, which is why I picked it. But I did end up wishing we were closer to the downtown area of Tulum.

- Gillian (8/5): Gorgeous hotel with stunning beaches nearby .. - We had a lovely friendly welcome - staff couldn’t have been more pleasant - thankyou We were in what they called garden/jungle type room- it overlooked a rooftop and wooden planks so not the best view - luckily only there for 2 nights ..
- Cesare (9/5): Excellent choice. - Excellent hotel. Very well managed. Fancy. When we booked the only room available was the entry level. Next time I would book a better room; well worth the difference of cost. The only two shortcoming of the hotel is that there is no parking and no access to the beach . Both are available at a sister hotel 500/600 meters far. Only solution is walking. I believe they should have a golf cart shuttling clients back and forth. Few clients and so few trips. With that the hotel would be perfect.

- Matthew (9/5): Tranquil Couples Retreat - Service
Staff
Quiet beautiful location in National Park Facilities are limited
No direct beach access
Furniture in rooms is a little bit basic
- Mccarthy (9/5): Superb - Food is very pricey. The quality and amount was good but overpriced.
- Audra (7/5): Good - Beautiful boutique hotel, we found it very romantic and peaceful. Received a beautiful birthday surprise in my room. The hotel is far from the hotelzone, however there is no parking. We had an issue with the room we requested (partial sea view with a jacuzzi tub). The tub could not be heated and the lights were all broken, in addition we only had a view of the building in front so this upgraded room was not worth it.
- Caro (9/5): Superb - the facilities, the room incredible and the location
- Joaquin (10/5): Great, feabulous - Very stylish and nice There is some improvements they can do. Paint, repairs, mostly caused by water or ocean
- Juan (10/5): Place was very relaxing. Perfect spot for a couple. We enjoy every moment of a great experience. - The rooms the service and the beach
- Ani (10/5): Great for a romantic stay - The hotel is situated in a national park which makes it really private and exclusive far away from loud beach bars and tourists
The service was exceptional The food in the restaurant is overpriced and there is no option to book a stay with breakfast
The hotel has no beach access
- Jay (10/5): Exceptional - Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, location is beautiful and room was very comfortable.
- Risi (1/5): Staff at this hotel suck and this hotel offering is deceptive - Fresh drinks The front desk people were very distasteful. Really negative energy from the Asian lady at the front desk. They charge $ to breathe in the same room, the hotel marketing is also deceiving, I booked it for an engagement and specifically chose the room with the “jet tub” which turns out, it doesn’t have heat, it’s pretty much a cold plunge. I also read reviews that the hotel greets you with a bottle of mezcal but the same snarky Asian lady said “we can’t do that for you” … by the way we stayed at a different hotel the whole time because of how disappointed we were.
- Tom (10/5): Amazing and perfect - Everything, perfect, near the sea and beautiful view The jacuzzi was not hot
- Kostic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melchiorri (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous property Being searched by national guards everytime entering
- Laurie (10/5): Stunning location, beautiful oceanfront views, close to amazing beaches and historical ruins. - This hotel is the perfect romantic getaway- beautiful location and excellent staff- they went way beyond our expectations to make sure we had the perfect Anniversary experience ❤️ They had construction while we were there but the staff made up for it completely with their generous hospitality so we honestly felt our stay was perfect!

- Gb (9/5): Superb - The facilities of the hotel were on another level , the design and everything felt so relaxing. The staff were amazing and the food was 100/10. We would definitely come back Just the bathroom in our room but nothing major.
- Melissa (9/5): Beautiful property, delicious restaurant and friendly staff - The property is beautiful and clean. The staff were very helpful. The restaurant was great This wasn’t an issue for us, but access to the beach is via Mezzanine hotel, approximately 5 minutes (by foot) from the hotel
