- Reinier (7/5): Leuke huisjes in Lofoten - Mooie locatie, compleet met een schitterende sauna, goed eten in het restaurant. Leuk appartement compleet met een Nespresso apparaat en een klein mini keukentje. De appartementen zien er erg leuk uit, voor een paar dagen redelijk compleet uitgerust. Ik had 2 huisjes gehuurd waarvan er één niet helemaal schoon was, vieze handdoek in de badkamer en vieze kringen op het dienblad in de kamer en haren in de bank. Dat was jammer, maar dat kan incidenteel geweest zijn. Het ligt op een mooie locatie, wij waren op doorreis naar Lofoten.

L'environnement est magnifique, vue sur l'eau et les montagnes. Parking facile. La météo n'a pas été au beau fixe, mais c'était bien agréable de bouquiner dans ce charmant logement, je recommande. - Simone (10/5): - La struttura è meravigliosa, incastonata in un paesaggio mozzafiato. Ci hanno offerto un upgrade nel Lodge G1 anziché la G2 che avevamo prenotato. Abbiamo guardato nevicare dall’oblò della sauna e abbiamo mangiato benissimo al ristorante della struttura. Un soggiorno davvero rilassante e piacevole.

- Kosti (8/5): Kalastajahenkistä majoitusta kauniissa maisemissa - Viestintä majoittajan kanssa oli sujuvaa ja nopeaa. Saimme kattavat ohjeet saapumista koskien etukäteen, ja kaikki sujui sovitusti. Huoneisto oli tilava ja siisti. Maisemat huoneiston parvekkeelta olivat upeat. Rapun muut majoittujat jättivät jostain syystä rapun oven yöksi auki, ja ovi hakkasi tuulessa äänekkäästi läpi yön meitä valvottaen. Kävimme sulkemassa oven useita kertoja, mutta joku kävi avaamassa sen uudelleen ja uudelleen. Yöunet jäivät siis majoittajasta johtumatta heikoiksi (toki ovipumpun asentaminen pelastaisi tilanteen). Sängyt olivat myös melko narisevat. Kompleksiin kuuluvan ravintolan lounastarjonta oli niukka, joten päädyimme ruokailemaan muualla.

Hyggelig og behjelpelig personalet når vi ville leie fiskestenger. Nydelig utsikt fra soverommet mot fjell og vann, stort kjøleskap og kjekt med kjøkkenutstyr. Stort bad med deilig varmekabler på gulvet. Bratt trapp opp til soverommet. Ikke like lett å komme seg ned med stive ben fra gåturer. Kunne vært en liten tv der.

Auch die in die Ecke gequetschten Sachen wie Feuerlöscher, Ventilator und Klimagerät. Für eine Unterkunft dieser Preisklasse eine ziemliche Bastelnummer. Auch die Unterbringung der Teller war diletantisch.

- Julia (8/5): - Die Lage! Man kann vom Bett aus die Nordlichter sehen und ist innerhalb 10min in Leknes und innerhalb 1-1,5 Std erreicht man Å und Svolvær. Bequemer Self Check-in. Das Wasser in der Dusche wird nach 7min kalt 🥶 Gerade im Winter nach einem langen Tag draußen würde ich mich schon über eine ausgiebigere warme Dusche freuen.

- MN Letellier (8/5): A great bungalow - The bungalow is really exceptional: beautiful and well equipped. Being out of season, we were alone on the site and did not see anybody. The management was nice to offer us (via messaging) the possibility to be their guests for the sauna. We really appreciated this experience by night. Ballstad is a little off the tourist tracks. Unfortunately, the view from the bungalow is not as fantastic as expected. The lodge is close to industrial buildings.

- John (9/5): Wonderful views from our cabin! - Our cabin had a wonderful unblocked view of the area. We could just sit all day long and gaze out the big picture windows. Our cabin was well furnished and came with a kettle and sink. The bathroom was excellent. The bedroom access was unique as we had to go up a step ladder and there was a skylight and wide window view of the area. It’s a 15min drive to Leknes so convenient to get anything. And we saw the Northern Lights from our room! Maybe a couple more hooks and hangers for clothes?

- Stine (7/5): - Jeg hadde avtalt med overnattingsstedet at jeg og forlover skulle overnatte fra fredag til lørdag, på lørdag skulle personalet gå inn å skifte på sengen og pynte og gjøre det ekstra hyggelig på grunn av at det var min og min manns bryllupsnatt. Det var ikke gjort, vi lå i samme sengetøy som min forlover hadde ligget i, og det var ikke gjort noen tiltak i form av opprydding, rengjøring eller ekstra pynting. Til tross for at jeg sa jeg kunne betale ytterligere for dette.
- Julian (1/5): - This place is misrepresented. Access to bedroom requires a ladder. We are in our 70s and 80s and no way could we get up there, much less our luggage! Even if we could, ceiling in bedroom was too low to stand up. Bathroom of course was below bedroom. Owner refused to refund our money and we had to stay elsewhere. No onsite management presence, all communication was by phone. Please remove this place from your network.

- GARY (6/5): Comfortable for short stays only - The hotel is in a good location for experiencing the Lofoten islands. The ladies who operated the front desk were extremely polite and supportive. Ballstad is an attractive fishing village with some nice options for simple walks and attractive harbor. The accommodation decor was relatively well presented and the space clean when we checked into the property. Possibly the greatest surprise was the room. it was extremely 'tight'. What most concerned us was the "ladder" up to the bedroom and I would not recommend it for anyone who has any balance or stability issues. The bedroom is upstairs in a loft type environment. Once upstairs, there is not sufficient height to stand up (low ceiling). Bed was very soft (typical of other places in Norway). We stayed in this property for 2 weeks, there is no clothes washing service (they do have a communal washing machine that runs a single cycle of approx. 2 hours! The drying cycle can take another 3 hours!! A tiny kitchenette on the lower ground floor with small refrigerator, kettle and coffee machine. No microwave or ability to cook and very limited space to prepare any type of basic meals. The living space was clean and relatively comfortable. There is no daily maid or cleaning service and even when we requested the hotel to clean the room half way through our stay they didn't do that but they did change the bed and provided new bathroom linen. Would we stay again? Only if we were there for a max of 3 to 4 days. It was not comfortable for extended periods.

- Marta (10/5): - We had a truly unforgettable stay at Hemmingodden Lodge in Ballstad. Our cabin on the water was simply wonderful – cozy, spacious, and with stunning views right outside the window. In the evening, we enjoyed an exceptional dinner at HEIM, which was one of the culinary highlights of our trip. We also took part in a boat trip organized by the lodge and had the incredible experience of watching sea eagles catch fish just a few meters away – absolutely magical! Ballstad itself is a gem: perfectly located to explore the Lofoten Islands, yet away from the crowds of mass tourism. It has an authentic Norwegian character and offers peace, nature, and breathtaking scenery all around. I highly recommend Hemmingodden Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable stay in Lofoten. We would love to return!

- Fabio (9/5): Cozy apartment on the sea - The apartment is very nice and well equipped. The location is besides a shipyard, some other locations in Ballstad have more charme. We suggest not buy the breakfast package: too expensive compared to what is offered

- Laura (6/5): Comodo per poche notti - Molto comoda la possibilità di fare in autonomia il check-in soprattutto se si ha in programma di arrivare sul tardi in serata. Carino il paesaggio circostante. Il letto era in un soppalco su cui era veramente poco agevole salire e scendere. Quando siamo arrivati c’era un odore di cibo insopportabile che è rimasto per tutto il primo giorno. Nella pagina di booking sono riportate le foto di altri alloggi più curati ed eleganti e invece poi ci siamo ritrovati in uno decisamente molto più spartano. Sarebbe stato più corretto specificare sulla sistemazione scelta le foto corrette per non incorrere in fraintendimenti. Per una, massimo due notti, può andare bene, per più notti non lo sceglierei.

- Franziska (8/5): Würde ich nicht mehr buchen - Gute Lage für Ausflüge in der Region, gute Ausstattung, gutes Restaurant. Personal, bis auf Recetionistin sehr nett. Top Restaurants im Ort sin zu Fuß zu erreichen. Meine vorab gestellten Fragen wurden nur teilweise beantwortet. Am Morgen habe ich extra nochmals nachgefragt, wann ich die Indos für das Self-Checkin erhalte. Bis zur Ankunft um 5 Uhr hatte ich keine Info erhalten. Der Koch meinte ich müsse bis 5.30 Uhr warten, bis die Dame kommt, die mir den Zugang geben kann, dann kam die Kellnerin, die sagte, dass sie erst um 6 Uhr komme und ich noch „kurz“ warten müsse, nach kurzem Ausrufen ging es dann doch ohne weiteres warten. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, das Schlafzimmer nur über eine sehr steile Treppe zu erreichen und oben kann man nicht stehen. Die Häuschen sind relativ eng aufeinander, so dass man vom Sofa aus plus minus nur die Tür des Nachbarn sieht.

- Alina (7/5): Tolle Lage, Service und Komfort mit großen Abstrichen - Super Lage direkt am Wasser, gemütliche Häuser mit kleiner Küchentische. Alles sehr sauber. Das Personal schien bei uns überfordert. Die Frühstücksbox für 14€ ist ein Witz, da bekommt man im Ort Leknes deutlich mehr für sein Geld ( in einer handgemachten Bäckerei). Der schlafbereich ist im Sommer sehr warm (es wurde allerdings mit einem Ventilator Abhilfe geschaffen, was positiv ist). Die Treppe ist sehr, sehr steil!
