Guest Reviews
- Chen (10/5): Great value ! 100% recommend ! - Great location! Right in the middle of Ubud! Friendly staff , beautiful and traditional decoration.
Vybavení pokoje vyhovující, matrace postele tvrdší a velmi pohodlná. Až neuvěřitelný klid s ohledem na lokalitu - pár minut do centra Ubudu či do studia Yoga Barn. Skvělá a poměrně velká snídaně, servírovaná přímo majitelem domu na terase pokoje. A hlavně žádní kohouti! Fotky odpovídají skutečnosti :)
Do Ubudu jezdím opakovaně každý rok a toto ubytování mi zatím vyhovovalo nejvíce ze všech :)

- Sylvia (10/5): - There was a very warm welcome. The place is wonderfully quiet. We had a very good time. The monkey forest and the Ubud palace are just a little walk from there. We got support for planning our activities. It was a very pleasent stay. For cars: There is a parking place in about 100 m with a small fee per night. Do not try to go in the little, narrow, steep street by car...

- Floriane (6/5): - The owner was really kind, and i loved the location of the guesthouse because it was on the center but on small hidden streets and really silent! I didn’t see that i booked a room without air con.
So it was too hot for me the night with just a fan.
- Matteo (8/5): - Staff disponibile.
- JESSICA (10/5): - Close to the yoga barn and the city center, it’s the perfect location if you prefer to walk instead of taking a car / motorbike. Around the home stay you have all you need: supermarkets, laundry, restaurants… I will come back for sure.
Ci mancheranno! Nulla in particolare.
- Schaefer (9/5): Totally recommendable - Lovely room and breakfasts. Putu is super nice. Helped out with tours and laundry. Felt like a friendship grew over time. Quiet and peaceful with beautiful temple and nice balcony. Shower hose was broken and we had little water pressure. But just bought the part to fix it. It still wasn’t like a full shower pressure but we had a bit more water come out, which was sufficient. Cupboard a bit smelly.
- Nikhil (10/5): Nice location and fantastic value for money - Beautiful homestay. The rooms are set in traditional beautiful Bali architecture (the owners should show this too in the photos as it’s appealing). Our superior room with AC was spacious and the owners should show was friendly and breakfast was sufficient. It was fantastic value for money. For the price it’s hard to complain. Very minor but the hand soap was watered down too much and towels could be better.
- Arthur3 (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Nice homestay in a very good position.
You are close to the monkey forest and the market, you can just walk there.
The family is very kind.
Good value for money.
- Sebas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francesco (10/5): Thank you Putu 🙏🏻 - It was in the heart of Ubud, very clean.
Putu provided a delicious breakfast every morning for us to enjoy on the terrace, he even cooked for us during Nyepi (silence day in Bali) for a small price and gave us helpful tips.
Super cheap for the service offered.
Do yourself a favor and enjoy a stay here 👌🏻 Nothing, maybe the toilet in my room could have needed a little bit of renovation, but for what I paid it's a 10/10
- Wiseman (9/5): Great family-run accommodation. Stay and support local families! - Small family-run homestay, great location, good facilities. Great breakfast. Everything was fine
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional - Really like to stay here at Tude's place! Lovely room upstairs with amazing views, super quiet and peaceful around here :)
Need to mention amazing breakfast every morning made with love and tasty , changed daily and always sooo gooood !!
Thank you Tude & fam 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 -
- Kamalakannan (7/5): Breakfast Food good - Average Average
- Danilo (7/5): Good - The location is very quiet in the middle of ubud The mattress of the bed and a little bit of humidity in the room no good ventilation
- Véronique (9/5): Great family stay! - I had a great stay here and the owner is very kind and welcoming. The fresh fruits from the garden in the morning were so refreshing and delicious. For someone who doesn't really spend much time in the room and always leaves to explore, this was perfect. Excellent location, walking distance from the Monkey Forest. The handle of my door was only screwed in and someone could have easily gone inside the room without too much effort. But I wasn't worried because I really trusted the owner and people around. So no big deal for me.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Matteo (10/5): Exceptional - Strongly recommended. Very nice courtyard where to enjoy your breakfast and very good location.
- Hallie (7/5): Good location. Price a little high. - Was very clean Host had lots of questions and more questions .
Laundry wasn’t finished on time. Don’t accept card payment . Name is similar to another property.
- Aarti (3/5): not value for the money we paid in Ubud..There are a lot of home stay and hotel available in the same price - only location nothing is as expected as mentioned in review .. didn’t like the room, bathroom, breakfast nothing was actually good
- Taguba (10/5): It was great! -
- Axel (10/5): Fabulous and Great value for money! - The property is in a very central location, yet very quiet and serene. Everything in the center of Ubud is within easy walking distance. The setting is beautiful with traditional yard and buildings. It is very tidy, spacious and comfortable. The upstairs balcony gets a nice refreshing breeze. Everything worked as expected. The very friendly host family runs this place with great pride. The ever-changing breakfast is delis, ample and nicely presented.
Thank you Putu and Family. I will certainly return
Fabulous and great value for money.
- Radatul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Toumaj (10/5): Calm. Relaxing. Friendly. Lovely. Spiritual. - Host was so so friendly and caring.
We had good and interesting Conversations everytime we met.
Wonderful Energy and also so helpful.
Entrance was made of wood and served very well it looked like a Palace.
Room was Located almost in temple. So many things to see around the property. nothing
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional - It is a traditional homestay and the owner is great. He cooked us the best banana pancakes. Breakfast is served just outside your door having the look at the beautiful garden. You feel like in a temple.
- María (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional - Welcoming and hospitable family, very peaceful environment (especially considering amongst the busy areas in town- it is so peaceful at home stay), amazing delicious breakfasts with coffee or tea , omelette or banana pancakes with assorted fresh fruits every morning, very large spacious room, large bathroom with shower and hot water, comfortable bed, lovely terrace area with views of beautiful garden, very good air con and ceiling fan (only need air con turned on for a short amount of time and it cools the room very well!), great location and walking distance to many main attractions and warungs. Suitable for all kinds of travellers. Had such a lovely stay here, thanks so much :)
- Julia (10/5): We had a lovely stay. The owner was so kind and made us delicious breakfast. The location was really nice. Calming and l - So calming and lovely location Would have loved an airconditioning, but it’s okay because I knew what I was signing up for :)
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional - Best staff to date, very helpfull. Bed very comfortable, and breakfast was great.
- Qyannn (7/5): Tude's humble homestay - Tucked a stone throw away from the main road, It is 7 mins walk to the Yoga Barn and 7 mins scooter ride to the heart of Ubud! I like that it was quiet at night.
Tude, the owner, was friendly and also an owner to a different variety of plants in his beauitful garden and rents out his scooter at a reasonable price. I think it will be better if Tude has a spare standing fan to support the heat in Bali at our point of stay (feb). Although the ceiling fan was at a speed of 5, i feel with an extra fan would make my sleep more comfortable and the afternoons nap more tolerable.
There are geckos in the room - they are.harmless but for travellers who are afraid of geckos, pls note.
- Susanna (7/5): Budget option, Friendly staff, Good breakfast, No ac. Little natural light. Harsh overhead light - Tude is super friendly. I liked the variety of fruit in the breakfasts. It's clean. Good prices. Centrally located. The room was pretty dark. There weren't any floor lamps or table lamps, only overhead lighting that wasn't pleasant. There was very little natural light in the room at all. There wasn't any ac. I can maybe get by without a pool, but not having AC in Ubud is a serious drawback. I think ac is a must. The wifi was a bit inconsistent for me 10mbps -60mbps. I needed a stable connection with a private router so I ended up going to a private villa after this stay.
- Alice (6/5): Pleasant - Nice breakfast, kind staff, and roughly a 10 minute walk from the Yoga Barn which was great for me :) The room was very dark, not much natural light at all.
- Maylis (9/5): Superb -
- Kravtsuk (9/5): Superb -
- Bjornerud (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was very nice. Nothing
- Sunil (8/5): Very good -
- Franca (8/5): Very good - Clean room, nice breakfast. The owner seemed quite pushy to book travels over him, made us feel uncomfortable.
- Laura (5/5): Passable - The location. The bathroom was very dirty.
- Antonia (10/5): Exceptional - Wow, this place is absolutely beautiful. It really feels like you live in a temple. We had a lovely time at Tude's. Such a wonderful family. Amazing breakfast. We probably had the best banana pancakes on our hole 5 week trip there ;) It's nice to have a spacious room as well and a big, comfy bed and a cupboard to put our stuff. Hot shower with good water pressure. We stay for 3 nights and we were very sad when we had to leave this peaceful place. It is very much in the centre of ubud but somehow you can't hear anything from the street. Best accommodation in ubud! Ahh, I already miss this place so much! I wish we could go back! nothing
- Soazig (10/5): Greatest Homestay ever ! - It’s probably the most pretty place I have been given to stay!
The surroundings are quiet and nice, a bit away from the busy area which is very appreciable seeing how touristic Ubud is!
Also the changes of breakfast are very appreciated ! It’s a little tricky to find the entrance on arrival but the owner is very reactive and will come to pick you up in the street !
- Javier (10/5): Better than we expected - It is located inside of a family temple. The vibe is amazing. We liked everything!
- Raffa (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful, and Putu his wife are so sweet xoxox
- Jonathan (8/5): Super Friendly Homestay - As long as you recognize this is a homestay option and not a hotel room, you should be happy in this very convenient location with super sweet and friendly hosts (e.g., happily arranging for my laundry to get done). Also nice is that the location is both fairly central and fairly quiet, which makes for a great combination.
A simple breakfast is included, which rotated between a vegetable omelet, banana pancakes, or a traditional Balinese breakfast, each served with fresh watermelon, papaya, and pineapple, and either tea or coffee. I missed having air conditioning or even a pool on especially hot days. Note: I did not expect these, but it is something to consider before booking. Also, be sure to be specific. I had asked if my laundry could be done on-site, which would have meant air drying. Thinking it was helpful, it got sent out, and the merino wool items -- that should never go in a dryer -- went through a drying machine. :-(
- James (10/5): Perfect stay - Everything about this place is perfect! Clean, comfortable room, very comfy beds, the home area is lovely, staff very friendly and made a very tasty breakfast! Very good value for money, I’d highly recommend, especially as it’s close to everything in Ubud
- Lilla (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely family, nice and clean rooms, super breakfast. Highly recommended. If I can back to Ubud I will definitely choose them again.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. For this price, you can not get more. Downtown is really close, owner is helpful, flat is clean as 5 star hotel :)
- Silvia (9/5): Superb - Location is great - away from tourist Disneyland, feels like a local neighborhood.
Still close enough to the tourist Disneyland, and many good eateries.
Wifi works well.
Putu is a very friendly host.
Breakfast are either a pancake or eggs with very good coffee and fruits.
Ambiance of the place is really nice.
One thing we did not know and should be promoted - next door neighbor has a pool and offers day access for 50k IDR. Also, there is a yoga studio nearby, great yoga, even though quite pricy for Indo prices. Breakfast - a bread for the eggs would be awesome. Vegan options would be welcome.
We booked 2 rooms. One (upstairs) looked just like on the photo, the other one very different from it.
Room upstairs was great for the price we paid, clean and bright, even though the matress was a little on a softer side.
The room downstairs was bit dark and and bit moldy. However, was very clean.
Despite this the guesthouse is still a very good value for the money and you will have a wonderful experience if you decide to stay.
- Jesse (10/5): Great comfortable room - Have stayed at Tude’s a few times and it is always fantastic. The breakfast is a great start to the day, hot water and comfortable rooms.
- Adnan (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Superb - A really nice and helpful host. Big rooms, the Ubud Center is totally walkable but the homestay is located on a side road so it's not too noisy from the traffic
- Gwenn (9/5): Superb -
- Arabella (9/5): Superb -
- Carla (7/5): Basic but clean and cozy - Nice and clean and the staff were very attentive Quite basic, bathroom smelled a bit
- Júlia (10/5): Exceptional - Nice hosts, beautiful and quiet place to stay
- Chen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (9/5): Very good value. - The homestay is a traditional home in a quiet street right in the center of Ubud.
The rooms are spacious and face on a patio where we had breakfast.
There is hot water and good water pressure, which was a nice surprise after traveling off the beaten track for a couple of weeks.
- Doriane (8/5): Very good - Everything was fine, good breakfast with something new every day, the owner was nice A small detail: there was no mosquito net on the aeration window, but with a mosquito repellent that was no issue.
- Minsung (9/5): Superb -
- Monica (10/5): Our stay was quick but beautiful. very simple but with everything you need and well kept. you truly get to experience th - simple and uniquely characteristic absolutely nothing! all was amazing
