Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Terasse direkt am Pool - perfekt für die Kinder. Etwas in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung. Im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels nicht besonders Kinderfreundlich (kein Kidsclub oder Ähnliches)

• Caroline (7/5): Pleasant in retrospect - - The hotel suite was spacious, the bed and pillows comfortable. The balcony looking onto the pool was also pleasant. - The fresh fruits and vegetables at breakfast and dinner. The food was alright, I was grateful for the fresh items. Some nights were very varied and it was good. - 5 minute walk to the beach, where you can find a bar and restaurant and beautiful quiet areas if you walk away from the crowded public beach. -Staff were pleasant overall but it took time to receive a friendly welcome. - I enjoyed the coffee they give in the room. - It took me time to warm up to the hotel but overall I got used to it after a few days…. I would go back as I enjoyed the location. - Could be cleaner ; I asked twice to clean the balcony table and some areas in the suite. - Facilities are older / needs a revamp but probably out of their budget. - Shower was leaking - Some of the food was too greasy (the fried items).

• Marie. (8/5): Personnel souriant et serviable. - Nous avons été très bien accueillis avec un verre de bienvenue. Nous avons pu accéder à notre chambre plutôt que prévu, profitez de la piscine. La plage n'est pas loin pour aller voir le coucher de soleil . L'hôtel à besoin d'un rafraîchissement, c'est un peu vieillot. Les mégots à la piscine c'est pas terrible. Puis y a toujours la taxe de 3 € qu'on a payé pour mon fils de 12ans. Le petit déjeuner est très moyen pas assez varié.

Alle waren freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und haben wirklich alles gegeben um unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, es gab täglich Omelettes, Crepes, Würste, Beans, Gemüse, Käse, Marmeladen, Joghurt, Croissants, Toast, frische Früchte, Kaffee in verschiedener Auswahl. Das Abendessen war einfach hervorragend, unglaubliche große unterschiedliche Auswahl an Gerichten. der Aussenbereich ist sehr hübsch gestaltet, schön bepflanzt und die 3 Pools wirklich nett angelegt mit viel Platz Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer und die Ausstattung ist schon etwas sehr in die Jahre gekommen. aber im großen und ganzen entspricht es einem 3 Stern Hotel
• hager (2/5): A fuire!! - Le barman Ravi, d’une gentillesse rare et d’une écoute exemplaire, a été le seul vrai point positif de notre séjour. À côté de cela, l’hôtel est dans un état lamentable : vétuste, des chambres inconfortables envahies par la moisissure. Un nettoyage en profondeur et une rénovation complète semblent indispensables pour que cet établissement mérite encore d’être fréquenté. L’hôtel nécessite une rénovation totale. Tout est délabré malheureusement Les piscines sont crasseuses, la nourriture est tout simplement immangeable et sans goût , et le wifi fonctionne quasiment jamais . Quant à l’accueil, il est catastrophique, surtout à la réception où l’on se sent dès l’arrivée complètement ignoré.

• Agnieszka (6/5): Nie jest to miejsce do którego bym wróciła czy poleciła innym. - Hotel udostępnia ręczniki na basen, przyjemne otoczenie wśród palm. Kameralnie. Pokoje przestronne. Śniadania bardzo skromne, codziennie to samo, bardzo mały wybór: 2 rodzaje wędlin, 2 rodzaje sera żółtego , fasolka, ryż, jajka, bekon, kiełbaski, naleśniki. Z owoców to podawany tylko ananas czasem papaja. Że słodkości jedno ciasto. Tak skromnego bufetu w innych hotelach jescze nie mieliśmy. Drzwi są nieszczelne do pokoju, wszystko słychać z zewnątrz, całymi nocami chodził na zewnątrz jakiś wentylator, duży szum w pokoju. Jednej nocy był Pan który śpiewał do 23:00 w nocy. Brak ciszy nocnej. Ciężko o dobry sen.

La restauration est catastrophique, en entrée, que de la laitue sans rien ou bien des pâtes froides, le plat principal, des pattes, avec pour accompagnement, du blanc de poulet milanaise façon industrielle et poisson. Dessert catastrophique. Les clients ont fait au moins 10 000 km pour manger de la mal-bouffe. Honte au directeur et carton rouge pour l'apprenti chef cuistot. Cet hôtel, hall de gare au niveau salle a manger, car fade et sans goût, ne doit être pris qu'en hébergement seul, à moins d'y être envoyé en punition en formule demi-pension.
• Claudette (6/5): Je ne recommanderai pas cet hôtel. - L’emplacement L’accueil. Pas de porteur bagage ou sinon pour un seul bagage et pas 2. Chambre vieillotte sans déco. Pas de grand miroir. Robinet du lavabo pas bien positionné donc de l’eau partout. Côté resto pas où très peu de fruit frais, pas de jus de fruit frais non plus au petit déjeuner. Cuisine moyenne. Service en salle pas top.

Les - la demi-pension, nourriture très basique, des fruits de mer surgelés en salade, au bout de trois jours on a fait le tour du buffet. Quasiment les mêmes desserts tous les jours. Le personnel est très gentil ils répondent oui à toutes vos demandes mais il faut parfois demander la même chose plusieurs fois. Oubli des mettre des serviettes ou du papier toilette....

• Katariina (10/5): Hyvä hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla - Hyvä hotelli hinta-laatusuhteeltaan. Aamiainen hyvä, illallinen ei mikään erikoinen. Hotellissa viihtyisä piha ja hyvä sijainti lähellä Trou Aux Biches -rantaa. Voisin yöpyä uudestaan!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Séjour à recommander - Le petit déjeuner les croissants ne sont pas délicieux mais le reste est bon. La chambre 240 mal située car une pompe (piscine) se déclenche toute la nuit on l'entend très bien dans la chambre avec les portes fermées.Il n'y a pas de pression pour la douche. La prochaine fois je demande une chambre au 1er étage ou au rez de chaussée avec vue sur la piscine proche de l'Accueil. Le personnel est vraiment attentionné et cela donne envie de revenir..
• Michael (2/5): Elendig service og et hotel der tydeligt er slidt. - Elendig service, og du kan ikke regne med hvad hotellet angiver af priser. Vi bestilte i Aug. for at fejre juleaften på hotellet. Den 11. Dec. får vi en mail om, at de i september har besluttet at prisen er ændret for jule gallamiddagen, altså omkring 2 måneder efter at de har taget beslutningen, får vi beskeden. Det bliver dog løst gennem hotels.com, men ændre ikke ved at hotellet har en håbløs service. Da jeg desuden kontakter ledelsen ved afrejse da der var andre småting, som vi ikke var tilfredse med, er der ingen forståelse, kun håbløse kommentarer om at de ikke har mulighed for at gøre noget, og at de håber vi vil komme igen - det kommer ikke til at ske.

• Hugues (6/5): - Beloofde Palmiste standaard kamer bleek een kamer zonder palmenuitzicht in een modern gebouw wat verderop grenzend aan een hoofdweg - weliswaar een comfortabele kamer maar helaas zonder de charme van het hoofdgebouw. Gaan ontbijten hield een wandelingetje langs de drukke weg in. Liever geen beloftes meer Palmiste!
• John (8/5): Nice Hotel, expensive food & drink. - Hotel is beautiful with lovely pools.The food and drink is fairly expensive with restaurants 2 minutes walk with prices at least half. The "town" is quiet and small and everything (bars and restaurants close at about 10PM (and the hotel bar at 11pm). The staff are all friendly and there is live music maybe 3 or 4 times a week. The bed was rock hard but this was resolved by the addition of a softer over-mattress.There are sports available in the hotel (table tennis, badminton, boule and pool. The one big disappointment was the snorkelling. There are almost no fish insdie the reef which is quite a way off shore and you need to visit on a glass bottom boat. The reef is not what I would expect for the Indian Ocean.
• Nicholas (4/5): 2-3 Star hotel with 1star attitude - Could have been an excellent stay but unfortunately marred by extreme complacency on the part of management. Twice within three days, the lavatory in my room had no water - very distressing and inconvenient if you, like me, suffer from upset stomachs when abroad. The advertised WiFi was not available in my room until the last afternoon of my stay, and then only because I had made a second complaint. The public areas were frequently infested with cockroaches and the pools were dirty and had a film of greasy suntan lotion floating on top. These points were brought to the attention of Vincent, duty manager, who suggested that these were 'minor' issues and suggested that I was making a fuss about nothing to try to get a discount! The breakfast buffet was very good and Lily, the call order chef, was a delight. Other staff in the restaurant looked disinterested and walked around like zombies, with little attention to guest's needs. The hotel is well located close to the nearby public beach (about 5 mins walk), and there is a supermarket nearby if you want to get picnic items / booze for your room. Overall it's a 2-3 star hotel with a 1 star attitude from management. Avoid if possible, there are much nicer, cleaner and cheaper alternatives nearby.
• Glob (8/5): Fantastic short stay - Unfortunately we only spent 4 nights at the Palmiste and were very sorry to leave. We could have very happily stayed another week or two. The hotel is set in beautiful tropical gardens and is well maintained. There are 3 different, clean swimming pools. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with a nice balcony. There is a kettle and fridge but unfortunately no tea and coffee etc. There is a small supermarket 200m along the road though. Remember to bring your plug adaptor as the sockets are three pin and the hotel do not lend you one. You have to buy it for 3€. The bathrooms only have a shower even though there is plenty of room for a bath. The showers could do with a slight makeover as the shower head is set very high and is not adjustable. We booked B&B but were given a free upgrade to half board. The meals are on a buffet basis. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice of cold and hot food. Omelettes are cooked fresh to order. Dinner has a different theme every evening: Mauritian, Indian, Italian etc. There are plenty of salads and a different soup and then a good selection of hot dishes. There is also an option to book a seafood menu at an extra charge. We opted for this on one evening and weren't disappointed. It was all very fresh and delicious! The staff are all fantasticand can't do enough for you. Any request they try and fulfill. You are greeted with a smile and a friendly hello from every member of staff from the gardeners to the managers. Vijay who is in charge of entertainment works incedibly hard to ensure there is a range of activities. Each evening there is a different themed entertainment. The Mauritian evening with traditional Sega dancers and musicians is excellent. I definitely hope to go back one day soon!!
• Bob (4/5): Needs professional touch - The hotel is ok with one or two very good and a lot of clueless staff. Manager is somewhat insensitive. Langugage was the primary barrier I think. Food needs to be more diverse. Breakfast is good. Dinner needs attention and depends on your luck. Someday it can be very good, and the other day it's not edible. It's pretty close to the sea (less that 2 min walk). Spa is ok, but not open for 24/7. Staff at the reception is somewhat clueless. Hiring a few professionals and doing a few transformation can elevate this place to the next level.
• Verified traveler (4/5): deceiving - very deceiving! beside the three swimming pools, nothing to be proud of! Animation really poor, food approximate, have to walk 200m on a really dangerous road to get to the beach, no effort from the direction to try to please you... i It is a good thing that the little staff try to compensate by their kindness and their smiles, but not enough!
