Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): - Location and felt quite traditional Japan
- Abidit (10/5): -
- Valeriia (10/5): - I was really surprised by how enormous the apartment was. It provided plenty of space for me and my family. The apartment had all the amenities we needed, and having a kitchen and a designated workspace with a computer and printer made the stay incredibly convenient. Also, having two toilets, one bathroom, and an additional shower made the stay ideal for our group of six. -
- Hediye (10/5): Amazing experience - Everything is awesome, especially the feeling of being surrounded by the forest and beautiful trees. Common areas are also functional and beautiful to spend time. It was sad to leave. Nothing.

- Martin (10/5): Would stay again if I visit Fujinomiya again in November, thanks for the dinning tips! - The property is amazing, and the staff too. Such a good experience
- T Carlson (9/5): - Kikusui was the perfect blend of hostel and Air BnB- very nice shared spaces and wonderful individual spaces. We stayed in the Sengen no Ma space, and it was large even for our 6-person group. The view from the balcony area overlooked the shrine next door and was incredible! Location was good, parking was a little tight but not too bad. We would for sure stay again.
- Mika (9/5): Zeitreise und Tradition - Der alte japanisch Style der Unterkunft
- Alex (8/5): - Great location and central to some attractions. Instructions to get there were easy to follow and communication was good.
- Soo Rok (5/5): -
- Dana (9/5): - Lovely setting great location Virtually no contact with staff

- Dana (8/5): - The location was excellent. The place was clean and quiet. Only saw staff briefly in hallway.
- Breck (10/5): - Everything was clean, bed was very comfortable and even had a super fluffy blanket. Tea kettle was super nice, and I was able to leave my luggage there early since I arrived before check in.
- Erica (10/5): Peaceful short stay away from the city. - Highly recommend for a relaxing 2-day stay. We traveled from Tokyo to Fujinomiya to have a relaxing few days away. Super easy to get to and the property is quiet, serene and peaceful. The house is situated right off of the bus stop, and on the Wakutamaike pond. We stayed in the Mizu room which had 2 beds, private toilet and private shower only accessible to your party. We had an amazing view of the pond from our bedroom. They provide slippers, toiletries, cozy blankets and a shared kitchen. The listing doesn’t do it justice honestly. Loved our stay! All was great!
- Leon (9/5): - Convenient old Japanese house with just enough modern updates
- Monsaji (9/5): Nice place to stay - Rooms are nice and clean with a nice lake view from Mizunoma room and very close to Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine. It’s not convenience if you travel with a big luggage since some rooms locate on the upstair or downstair with no elevator or ramp.
- Valentin (10/5): Excellent ! - Logement parfait, qui correspondait aux photos ! On avait la chambre suruga no ma qui était parfaite ! Rien

- Constance (9/5): A gorgeous property that feels like you stepped back in time. - A stunning property right next to a shrine. If you want a shared house experience (full kitchen, laundry, etc) but still have your own room and bathroom, and feel like you stepped back in time, this is the place for you. It is easy to get to and easy to walk to the main sections of Fujinomiya. I stayed when it was raining one night, and the sound of the water from the pond and rain made it so tranquil, and only added to the ambience of the stay. I loved the traditional vibe of the whole property. The property is old, so if you come in the cooler months it can be a bit cold in certain parts of the house. Also, the parking is tight, and if someone parks their car poorly it can make it hard for you to get your car into a spot. This is not the fault of the property though. The property does not have staff all the time. My room also did not have a TV, but it did have wifi so it wasn’t an issue for me. To be honest, the beauty and rustic charm of this hotel makes up for these issues. I would 100% stay here again.
- Neang Neang (7/5): Beside the checkin hustle, I like the place in overall. It’s very big and comfortable and for big family and long stay. - It’s very big, quiet, peaceful and nice view. The instructions are hard to understand. I think the room name given to me was also wrong, I just assumed it was Senogame and try password.
- CHIENYU (10/5): -
- Kelvin (6/5): - Nice facing to the pond. The room is very cold even though we have turned on the heater. There are also many staircases to get to the room. Not very convenient for visitors with large suitcases or the elderly.
- Saskia (9/5): -
- Sofia (7/5): - Close to a beautiful location, the room was spacious. The amenities were great, and if you stayed extra nights you could take it yourself. The room and property are very pretty! you had to climb a steep flight of stairs to get to the room, which wasn't very fun with bags.
I wish I could find the staff more consistently as we didn't know when they would be present in case I needed help or had questions.
The room was a bit cold, but with the heating it was better. I wish they provided some sort of pyjamas like most hotels usually do.
You also need to be careful with the shower door as it easily comes off
- Cote (10/5): This accommodation made my sister’s visit “magical” (her words). - Absolutely beautiful. Everything from the view to the tatami. Comfortably. Clean. Spacious. It was very easy to access, the instructions provided were clear and precise. An absolutely wonderful stay. There’s nothing I didn’t like. Truly a 10/10

- Andre (4/5): Preis-Leistung steht in keinem Verhältnis.

- Marta (10/5): - Exceptional! Wish I could stay there longer. A true gem - 100% local and traditional vibe with all modern facilities. Super clean!
- Warren (10/5): - Peaceful yet still close to main areas. Beautiful accommodation and comfortable.
- Miha (10/5): - Amazing experience. The room was huge and soo clean. The area surrounding was amazing with the view from the window. The kitchen was big enough for making dinner. The place is awesome.
- Natalie Hiu Ching (9/5): - Very pretty property, very spacious with a few out to the shrine. Staff on site helped us call a taxi too. Thank you!
- Angelina (10/5): -
- Khankhen (10/5): -
- Sirikamon (10/5): - Quite and clean Near to temple
- Diana Valeria (10/5): Perfect place for your trip! - This was our favorite part of our trip, the room was spacious and had a lovely view to the pond right by the shrine, waking up to that view feels like a movie, it’s perfectly located and the beds were so comfortable, and the view of mount fuji in just a 1 minute walk is breathtaking!!! staff is kind and welcoming, public kitchen has everything you need, bring warm clothes if you are staying here during the winter, we will stay here the next time we’re in japan :)

- Chanabadee (10/5): should come. - I will definitely come back for sure. This place is getting you to know what Japanese traditions would be like. So natural, nice river in front of my room. All the Ducks on play with the water in the morning are digging out my soul of what natural life would be like. We stay in the room named "Mizu-no-ma" Double Room with Lake View There is no staff at the place, but you can talk to them via online chat. It confuses us at first about how to use a digital door lock.
- Ursula (10/5): -
Fuji World Heritage Center.

- Lauren (9/5): A lesser known incredible Fuji stay - The south view of Fuji was beautiful and the shrine next door was particularly special. The mizu room was incredible and a little oasis within such a metropolitan town. A great view out of the window and a beautiful stay. I personally find self check in inconvenient and the lack of staff interesting but that’s certainly up to personal preference! Otherwise, an incredible stay is highly recommend!
- Nick (6/5): Toplocatie - Een onwijs goede locatie.
- Andre (10/5): Beautiful place - There was way more room than we were expecting. We had a larger group and got the 2nd floor room and it was like an entire house with an amazing view.
- Benjamin (9/5): -

- Monica (10/5): Fujinomiya Gem - Gorgeous traditional Japanese inn. The room was amazing. It was well located close to everything. It was great to be able to do laundry. The young lady that checked us in and checked us out was so kind and helpful. Loved our stay.
If in Fujinomiya stay there. Bed was a little too soft for me.
- Kyriaki (9/5): Cute, whimsical stay with gorgeous views - It was very spacious (our group had 5 people) and the view and location were both wonderful. The staff member that we met at check out was lovely and very helpful. There are stairs to consider - no lifts.
- ZuzaBabel (10/5): Great value for money - We had a very spacious room, consisting of bedroom, little living room, patio and bathroom. All equipment modern, still very stylish Japanese. Very quiet, little private bamboo forest in front of the window. We visited in September while it was still very warm. The way to the bathroom is via the outside patio. This may feel cold in the winter.
- Calypso (9/5): -
- William (8/5): -
