• Yulia Busel (9/5): Great hotel in the Dusit area - I stayed in Haheng House for 5 nights: only needed some place to sleep at night and go explore the city during the day. The room felt homey and countryside-like: a very cozy place with minimal decor, and everything you need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, the aircon doesn't face the bed (great!), the bathroom is clean. You can check in and check out yourself: no need to wait for staff to give you the keys. Given that I arrived quite late, it was very convenient. I'm also a light sleeper, but never had any problems with noise here. All in all, a very solid option to stay in if you want to stay in the Dusit area. The only two downsides: 1. The lack of the shower / bath curtain: it would've been more comfortable with one. 2. The floors were squeaky: the building and furniture seem to be somewhat old, hence the noisy floor. Didn't bother me much, though. I also found the location not perfect for my needs, but that's on me for not planning ahead. It's quite easy to get a Grab taxi to get to the nearest train station — and from there you can navigate easier.

• T L (10/5): - I can’t recommend this place enough. This honestly felt like a home away from home. I felt welcomed and relaxed as soon as I got in. The staff are very attentive but give you the space to breathe. Even with the communication barrier, they were super helpful and made this stay work really smoothly. As a solo, black female traveller, I felt safe and secure at all points. I even left one of my phones at the property and they didn’t hesitate to let me know. Location wise, it’s 20 mins drive from central Bangkok so which wasn’t a bad commute. There’s still much to do in the area. There’s a nail shop ten mins away which I also recommend and a massage place two mins away. Hopefully I can come back soon.

Doporučujeme. Majitelé komunikovali velice rychle. V pokoji číslo 2 po vypuštění vany voda vzlíná odtokovým kanálkem zpět do koupelny a je mokrý dost velký kus podlahy. Ve spárách stěn koupelny je plíseň (pokoj číslo 1, v ostatních nevím.)

But this place is so affordable while offering all the basics you need: nice bed, TV, shared fridge and easy check in. Really cute design also. And you have various food options nearby. There was no shower curtain or shower head holder.

• Alicia (9/5): Good choice for your stay in Bangkok - The location itself is far from the city - however in about 1km you will find the boat pier that takes you to the center of Bangkok. We also enjoyed the location - really local and authentic with supermarkets and restaurants just a couple of minutes walking. We recommend you to, at least, one day, wake up at 6am so you may see the locals seeling their produts in the street. The bed was the most comfortable of our full trip so far. Clean and tidy - the staff also cleans your room if you wish. We stayed for 5 days and asked for this service twice. They changed all towels and bed sheets. The bathroom and room itself has also huge, with a living room (sofa, tv, table and chairs) Staff was really attentive and nice - they respond quick to any problem. The bathtub did not had any protection so by the end of your shower, the bathroom is all wet. However, he believe that is the “normality” in Thailand since we faced this problem everywhere. There were a few places that were not clean, the more hidden ones (draws, under the bed, windows,…) Some difficulties with the hot water.

• Alicia (9/5): Wonderful place - would be my choice again - Overall is a very comfortable place to stay. Bed and pillows are really good, air conditioning works perfectly, huge bathroom with natural light and complimentary water daily. Nearby you have a 7/11 and a Lotus supermarket. The neighborhood is very local and every morning and evening you will find locals selling their products. We could hear loud motorbikes passing though the street; bathtub doesn’t have a curtain or any protection, so all floor guest wet.

The location is a bit far from the old town (10 min by scooter), but there’s a bus stop nearby and you can use Grab to get anywhere. Since it’s a residential area it’s very quiet at night. The window looks out onto some plants so it’s mainly dark, but there’s a door to the little terrace so you can have air flowing in the room

• Solana (9/5): Wonderful for the right traveler - This place is wonderful!! The beds and pillows are comfortable. The shower gets hot and has good water pressure. The doors use electronic locks so you don't have to check in/out. There is a small fridge with free water bottles. Also free coffee. Wifi works well. The area felt very safe and has a grocery store across the street. Inside is very quiet. My AC stopped working one night but staff fixed it first thing in the morning! Also as other reviews mention, there is a little crack in the windows, so there are some bugs that can get in (during my 3 week stay, this included 1-2 mosquitos and another insect) and as someone who is arachnaphobic luckily it was not an issue. I chose this location due to proximity of the hospital but note this is not close to the metro or BTS at all, so it can be inconvenient depending on the nature of your visit, especially with Bangkok traffic. Also, I would recommend wearing ear plugs at night as it's quite loud (as anywhere would be in this city). But overall I really do recommend this place!!!

This is absolutely not the property’s fault but some guests came in at about 2am and made so much noise they woke us up. So perhaps telling people to be respectful could be useful.

• Victoire (9/5): Historical and comfortable guest house in Dusit - The guest house is located in a quiet and residential area. There are lots of options for groceries and takeouts all around. The bedroom I had was massive with a comfy bed and a living room area. The bathroom was also very large. There is a shared fridge and staying there for a week, I can confirm that nobody took my items. The place is very clean and well maintained. There are no double glazing for the windows so sometimes you might hear a few trucks or chatting outside in the morning. It would be great if the owner could leave a steamer and a hair dryer in the common area, for guests to use. The bathroom only has gel shower and shampoo as amenities.

• Giselle (6/5): Not what I expected it to be - The room was spacious There were a lot of spiderwebs in the bathroom. One spider fell into my hair while I was showering. It was unavoidable to wet the whole bathroom while you were showering. My boyfriend had to hold the shower head for me while I was showering to avoid this.
• Papawee (6/5): Nice room but the stay was not so pleasant - The decor was great, just like what you see in the picture. I enjoyed the bathtub. The water heater worked fine. The place was easy to find and access was simple enough. The acoustics were very poor. When I was staying, there was a group of male guests who came back late at night and were really loud and they left early in the morning. Yes, you could hear every single thing. Not entirely the property's fault but it would be helpful if there's a house rule to keep the noise down at certain time so that people are aware. There was no blackout curtain so the light was flooding into my room in the morning and the bed was right by the window which is the last thing you want after a noisy early morning.
