- Joanna (1/5): Unbelievably bad - It’s large and cheerfully decorated Given this was the worst stay we’ve ever had, quite a lot. We arrived to a dangerously blown over shed, broken blinds that needed a chair to stand on to put them up, a bath that couldn’t be emptied, no hot water in the evenings, TV that didn’t work, amongst other things. These issues, I subsequently found out, had been flagged by previous occupants as being problems but had not been addressed by the management team MadeComfy, even though in responses to complaining reviews, they made it sound like they had. Then we had a day of no electricity, followed by 3 days of no water! In neither instance did MadeComfy help, apart from apologize. In fact, after a day and a half of desperate investigation on our own and 30+ phone calls, did we find out from body corporate that they had turned the water of due to a problem and they had contacted all of the owners of the properties to let them know. Outrageously, MadeComfy said they have a backlog of emails and so would have missed this information, and sorry! Then it was 3 weeks of trying to get the accommodation fixed, during which time I was asked to stay at home 3 times so maintenance people could come, and each time they failed to show. By this time we were asking for a refund for the first 11 nights, given the time and effort we’d put in and the stress we’d suffered. Finally, in this last week, there was a flurry of texts and phone calls from MadeComfy to find out if the water problem was solved and a $700 appeared as a voucher for bookings.com. We’d given up on them at this point. By this time I was onto the Vic Consumer Affairs who suggested lodging a complaint with VCAT to try to get the compensation we’re after for the faulty property, the obviously misleading advertising of the property, the complete mismanagement by MadeComfy, the total lack of communication options with Bookings.com and the increasingly passive aggressive messages from MadeComfy.
- Andre (9/5): Very nice place, happy to recommend. - We enjoyed the location and layout of the home. The owners have shown they have pride in this home making us feel very settled. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Good location as we were able to walk to the train station to get into Melb. The backyard had suffered from winter winds and needs a tidy up. Also we found the tv was not able to work on the wifi signal.
- carolyn (6/5): - Location bed comfy large space It was freezing when we arrived and there was only a heater in the lounge room Bedroom was cold all the time and we had to go and buy water bottles Also very loud crying baby kept waking us up constantly
- Sandhya (10/5): - Clean and accessible accommodation, well considered facilities and good communication. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station with two great cafes, pizza place and other facilities 5-20 minutes walk from here. Across the road from Quarries park, a great hill for sunset viewing and walks down the river. If you're coming in winter make sure you keep the bedroom doors open to heart the place up and take the edge off. Although great, we did feel this accommodation was quite pricey given this is what you'd pay for a 4.5-5 star hotel per night. We used this accommodation for family to visit as we live in the neighbourhood as well. We asked for a second key and had to pay an additional $50. So if you're coming with a few people and have varying schedules, be mindful that this is at an additional cost.
