• James (10/5): A very comfortable and relaxing resort. - It’s a really beautiful property and fully refurbished. The interior design is fantastic. The bedroom was really comfortable and spacious and I love the bathroom. The access to the beach is wonderful and really convenient. All members of staff were really kind, helpful and positive, especially Diogo and Márcio on reception and Esmeraldo who helped us with the baggage and gave local tips. I don’t remember the name of the housekeeping guy, but he was really friendly every morning and gave some extra coffee and tea (I wish I could remember his name, but he was very tall and from India) overall it was a really positive and relaxing experience and I would definitely return. The rooftop bar and restaurant was a little bit overpriced, which can make it an expensive stay as there isn’t too much in walking distance.

• Fazila (4/5): Less than average - The hotel itself is really nice and the grounds are lovely. We had so many issues at this hotel, the electric went out completely twice so we were unable to get dressed for our evening and then when we changed rooms in the night, we had to pack with our phone lights. The staff are at best average, simple things in other hotels where staff go able and beyond are not visible at this hotel. The robes and bidet were dirty.

Food could be better. - The hotel is completely new, everything is very clean, the staff is attentive and it's a great place to be for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious and we could stay in the hotel for days without leaving as there were a lot of things to do in it. The quality of breakfast is lacking - if I could, I would have it elsewhere or have it delivered, we paid 60EUR for 1 day of breakfast and me and my wife were surprised by how lackluster it is. The choices are few and hot dishes are not tasty. Other than that everything was perfect.

I have stayed at plenty of five stars before and never experienced a worst environment than this. The staff is very rude, unhelpful and barely present. Bell boy Esmeraldo is the worst first impression of the hotel. The staff throughout the hotel had a very bad attitude and hostile. Did not feel welcomed at all. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of better options around.

Ruined our stay from the moment we drove up to the hotel. Was unloading the bags and got told to move the car, he pointed at the parking. Didn’t help with bags. Walked around like he owned the hotel. Started arguing with the receptionist when we got offered a welcome drink. Didn’t help any of us with any bags. No staff at the bars and when we got attended, they were rude and didn’t have many of the drinks listed. Worst experience of a 5 star hotel ever. Will never be staying at a Kimpton again.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes wurden wir einen Morgens von einem Handwerker geweckt, der direkt vor unserer Terrasse die Überdachung reparierte. Am Pool wurden ebenfalls Arbeiten durchgeführt, so dass wir keine Erholung hatten.

• Noreen (8/5): Restful and relaxing. - The property was very clean and spacious with great amenities such as the outside pool and also the indoor pool and 24 hour gym and a yoga and spin studio. The room itself was well proportioned with a balcony and all amenities in the room. The staff were very kind and friendly. The beach access is beautifully done with lovely wooden slates that will take you from the gardens of the hotel’s property straight to the beach. It felt quite private when I went down and the sunset was really beautiful. The hotel property is outside of the town. It is possible to walk from the hotel into town which I had to do because there was a cycling event on it takes approximately about an hour to do so but if you catch a cab, which I did on the way back, it’s about five minute journey. I’d really recommend the walk into town, it’s a beautiful walk with some really stunning sea views. I chose the property for the spa and hadn’t appreciated that even as a hotel guest you will have to pay to use spa. The cost is approximately €35 per person which can easily add up if you’re are staying for more than a week. I appreciate that I went out of season but they didn’t seem to be a lot of availability. They only had either one or two members of staff in the spa which meant that I wasn’t able to get the treatment I wanted on the day I wanted, but the spa receptionist was very friendly and when she had a cancellation tried to book me in but unfortunately by then, I had already made plans for the day.

• Natasha (1/5): Staff was terrible! - I recently stayed at a Kimpton property in the Algarve with a group of 13 people across 7 rooms, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was consistently disappointing. The bellboy, Esmeraldo, behaved in a way that felt dismissive and unwelcoming—he barely acknowledged us, made no effort to assist with luggage, and came across as if helping guests was beneath him. This set the tone for the rest of our stay. What was even more frustrating was that this attitude seemed widespread among the staff. Basic hospitality—such as greeting guests, smiling, or showing willingness to help—was largely absent. Even the housekeeping staff would pass by without a simple “good morning,” which made the environment feel cold and uninviting. As a group spending a significant amount of money at the hotel, we expected at the very least a professional and courteous level of service. Instead, we found ourselves repeatedly complaining about how unwelcome we felt, which completely overshadowed what was meant to be a relaxing holiday. This experience has seriously impacted our perception of the Kimpton brand, and unless there are clear improvements in staff training and guest relations, we would not consider staying at this hotel—or others in the group—again.

Bed ; super hard. Bathroom : 15 min ro wash the hands. Forget about shaving. Water hardly comes out as they have installed water saving Went at the roof top. Total three tables and it took them 45 minutes after 3 reminders and on top was told by the bartender that he wasn’t superman !!

The night manager on reception was exceptional with everything and went above and beyond. Hotel was lovey. Had everything you could want. Clean and well equipped. (This was a off peak visit in Jan)

• Liset (8/5): Heerlijk hondvriendelijk hotel! - Het hotel is meer dan hondvriendelijk! De honden mochten niet alleen mee logeren, maar ook mee de restaurants in (ontbijt, diner). Het hotel gaf mandjes en bakken voor de honden. Allemaal top. Het personeel is ook heel vriendelijk. De ligging is top; je loopt zo door de hoteltuin naar de toegang tot het strand. Het ligt buiten de drukte van Albufeira zelf wat wij ook heel fijn vinden. Zeker voor ons als winter plek met de honden: top hotel. Ontbijt is prima. Het diner wat wij hebben gehad in 1 van de restaurants was ook heel goed. Niets wat ons niet doet terugkomen. Maar, qua schoonmaak in de kamer was het niet helemaal in orde (we vonden bijvoorbeeld plukken haar en speeltje van de vorige bezoekers met hond). We hebben dit tijdens ons verblijf al aangegeven. Ook plaatsten ze ongevraagd en in stilte een service fee van 10% op de rekening van het diner in het resaurant. Niet netjes….

• Beatriz (10/5): - The Hotel is set in a very quiet area of Albufeira, far from any mess. The grounds are kept very well and it is wonderful to walk around. Just outside the Hotel is a beautiful beach and trail on the typical Algarve coast. Room has all the necessary, we were given an upgrade for which we are very greatful; it was nice to find the dog's essentials there upon arrival. The service was very good at all hours of the day and night. A swift checkin, smiles and kindness during breakfast, very nice people at the reception and a fast checkout too. The late afternoon complimentary aperitivo is a great touch! It would be nice if the tap in the bathroom “delivered" more water.

• Yuliya (8/5): Отличный современный отель для отдыха в Алгарве! - В целом нам очень понравился наш совместный отдых с 31 декабря 2025 (4 ночи). И мы скорее всего будем выбирать его снова для отдыха в Алгарве. Отель новый, красивый, большой, современный, стильный дизайн и самое главное, почему мы выбрали его - тут можно отдыхать со своими питомцами. Тренажерный зал - 10/10 лучший из всех, который мы встречали в отелях и он работает 24/7, также есть залы для групповых тренировок. Номера - 10/10 отличные, просторные, есть балкон. Очень удобная кровать, комфортные подушки и одеяла. В номере есть абсолютно все для идеального отдыха и это самое главное. Ежедневная уборка, дружелюбный обслуживающий номера персонал. Завтрак - 8/10 отличный завтрак, вкусный кофе, различные варианты (около 7-10) горячих блюд из яиц, которые повар готовит специально для Вас по заказу. Разнообразие фруктов и овощей. Внимательный и приветливый персонал в ресторане на завтраке. Слабый напор воды в душе. На завтрак 2 дня подряд подавали несвежий зелёный салат/рукколу и в течении 4-х дней завтраков не было ни одной новой позиции, все одно и то же. В бесплатном бассейне не работали водопады из нержавейки и их стоит привести в порядок, потому что они уже ржавые. При заселении дополнительно блокируют +200 € на вашей карте и возврат в течении 3-х дней после выезда.

• Nicolo (4/5): Fühlt sich nicht nach 5-Sterne an. - Der Korridor hat gut gerochen und die Möbel sind gut. Ebenso das Bett war in Ordnung. Die Lage ist gut. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig und die Türen schlagen sehr laut zu. Das Personal ist uninteressiert an ihren Gästen. Der Wellnessbereich ist enttäuschend und der Boden ist lebensgefährlich. Das Frühstück hat leider auch nicht überzeugen können.

• Ana (4/5): A não repetir - Restaurante e empregados O Spa não funcionava como seria o suposto, metade dos jatos da piscina não funcionava, o banho turco não funcionava , os banhos sensoriais não funcionavam, a água estava fria tanto do spa como a gratuita. Choveu dentro do spa, disparou vários alarmes de incêndio. Preço muito altos para pouca qualidade num hotel de 5 estrelas. As informações não eram passadas entre funcionários.
• aoife (8/5): - The hotel is nicely furnished. Very calm.amd airy. Rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was substantial and diverse. The spa was very disappointing. There is an extra fee, PER DAY, which is just ridiculous for a 5 star. The steam room wasn't working. The sensory shower did not work. A number of the jets were not working in the termal pool. The only thing that was up to standard in there was the sauna. If you are charging people to use these facilities, on top of what they have already paid to stay at the hotel, everything should work!

• Margarida (6/5): Esperava mais - A senhora que realizou o nosso check-out foi extremamente simpática, atenciosa e preocupada em perceber o que tinha corrido mal, o que acabou por amenizar um pouco a experiência final. - Atendimento pouco simpático no check-in e falta de informação clara, nomeadamente sobre o estacionamento pago. • Apesar de termos pedido uma cama de casal, o quarto tinha duas camas de solteiro juntas. • Quarto frio durante toda a estadia: o ar condicionado não aquecia, não passava dos 22 °C e mantinha-se sempre em modo automático. Reportámos o problema por duas vezes e ninguém apareceu. É impensável passar frio num hotel de 5 estrelas. • Luz exterior da varanda não funcionava. • Televisão do quarto estava constantemente a parar. • Falta de chinelos de quarto, mesmo após pedido à receção. • Cobrança adicional de 35€ por pessoa para acesso ao SPA, sem informação clara no momento da reserva, e piscina interior muito fria. • Tudo é cobrado à parte (SPA, estacionamento, bar, etc.) e existe service charge em todas as despesas, sem aviso claro. • Experiência negativa no bar, com longos tempos de espera e atendimento pouco simpático. • Tempo de espera excessivo no check-out (quase meia hora). • Sensação geral de que os clientes portugueses são tratados com menos atenção, o que é dececionante num hotel situado em Portugal.
• Lars (9/5): Amazing and relaxing - We stayed during new years and there was a good atmosphere. Nice Clean rooms, good breakfast, nice spa/Gym Everything was very good, only the dirty dishes stood on the table for a long time during breakfast but also in the lobby

• Esperanza (9/5): - He visitado muchos años ese hotel y me encanta todo. Su ubicación, su personal, sus instalaciones.. Voy en invierno porque tiene un precio más asequible. Este año con la nueva remodelacion está un poco cambiado y algunas cosas nuevas. Supongo que al haber menos publico, no estaba en pleno funcionamiento el spa y la piscina cubierta estaba cerrada.
