• Tatsuya (10/5): 人の温かい心に触れられます - 現地のスタッフはみんな親切でした。受付の女性は愛嬌があり、優しく、一緒に笑っていました。驚いたのはシェフです。女性のシェフが作る料理はとても美味しく、ローカルフードを食べたいならおすすめです。男性スタッフのソラ君とは仲良くなりました。料理を丁寧に並べてくれたり、たくさんの話をして、いっぱい笑い、タイのこと、ミャンマーのこと、日本のことを話しました。そして、可愛いネコがいます。甘えん坊です。可愛い鳴き声です。 チェックアウトではスタッフが誰もいなくて寂しかったけど、石で並べたメッセージを見てくれてたら嬉しいな！ご飯食べるスペースはとても広く、いろいろなテーブルがあって新鮮でした。おすすめ！ ありがとう😊 ネコが可愛くて、夜遊びに行こうとしたけれど猫と遊んで時間が過ぎてしまった。

• Jennifer (6/5): Pleasant - Very friendly staff and really nice communal area Aircon only allowed on in the dorms from 6pm. Even with the aircon on the temperature was too hot in the night. The bunks would shake even with someone just walking around the room. Quite dark in the dorms during the day. Probably worth the money as it is so cheap, but I think it is worth paying a bit more to not have these issues
• Georgia (9/5): Amazing hostel, would definitely stay a third time - Loved it so much I went back to stay a second time! :) The staff were absolute angels. They have a restaurant on site so you never have to go far for food. It’s only a 8-ish minute walk to Maenam beach and the Main Street. The common area was very nice and good for socialising. The hostel has a very rural/isolated feeling about it but in a good way. The beds were very loud/creaky and because the building was open (not many walls) the mosquitos were very bad at night. You have to walk through the restaurant to go to the bathroom/showers which was a bit weird.
• Kaushik (9/5): Great value for money stay. The common area could be better but extremely fantastic stay. - The staff , super comfortable room and 7/11 that is so close. The common area is poory lit and is infested with bugs.
• Tomasz (4/5): Disappointing - Myself and my wife have spent a couple of nights in Blockhouse Samui and unfortunately we can't recommend this place. 10 bed dormitory is rather small and beds are right next to each other. Curtains are only from some sides of the beds so if you're unfortunate you'll be "sharing" the same curtain with another bed and therefore you might be exposed (as I was). We have reached out to this hostel well ahead of our arrival asking if it's possible to share the same bunk bed (1 bottom level bed, 1 upper). We did not get any response and when we arrived we were assigned to 2 random, separate beds. It's not a big issue but communication should have been better here. There are no signs about quiet time after 10pm or whatever and a lot of party people come to this hostel so be prepared to not get sleep at all. We were unfortunate to be in the room with groups of people coming back in the middle of night, turning on the light, making noise and having no respect for other guests at all. Hostel is also connected with the restaurant where people stay longer than 10pm and staff is creating noise themselves. AC in the room is being turned only at night so you won't be able to stay there during the day. Also the room is very dark and sheets are not being exchanged at all. Overall, we can't recommend this place unless you're thinking only about partying. Then I guess it won't really matter.

• Dino (9/5): Amazing! - Everything was amazing actually, the social room was super comfortable, they had a little restaurant if you didn’t feel like going anywhere, the beds are very big, it was very quit and peacefull, the staff was super friendly,… Every now and then the bathrooms on the main floor could smell a bit… but they are not attached to the room so no biggie.

• Demet (9/5): Superb - The owner Khun Keikei and her team are extremely helpful and extremely kind people. They provide you comfort and confidence as if you were in your own home. This is the unity and solidarity of women. It is a Hostel that I would wholeheartedly recommend to everyone I enjoy very much. I stayed that in a private room for about 35 days with very good memories. I highly recommend it to everyone, it is very central, 5 minutes walking distance to Maenam beach. Go and enjoy yourself... Thanks to everyone wholeheartedly

• Megan (10/5): Perfect - I loved the community and friendliness of the staff the lady is so lovely and so funny, if you’re a green smoker it’s perfect because everyone is very relaxed and they sell it there !!they also have a cat called REKKI who is so cute and very friendly Shower was a little cold on the top floor but there are showers on the bottom floor which were hot but everything else topped that so we weren’t bothered It was raining a lot while we were in samui so the communal area and made chilling with friends and new people amazing and they have a snack bar and kitchen that serves amazing food

• Hien (8/5): Very good - Staff is nice, on-site home made restaurants food is good, good location is within walking distance to the beach and shops on the main road. When there are 9 people in the dorm, the toilet in the room should be cleaned twice a day instead of once a day. It wreaked urine due to too many users.

• Enrico (9/5): Lovely Hostel with welcoming staff - The owner and employees are super friendly and cute. Everything was clean und the beds (6-bed dorm) were comfortable. Location is relatively quiet (even with the restaurant open, sleeping in the dorm room is no issue) and during my stay there were not many other guests around, so perfect for relaxing. Main street and beach are at walking distance where you can find numerous places to eat and drink or you can enjoy the time at the restaurant (miss samui) The elephant ressort is also close by for some other activity besides the beach!

The beach is 10 min away The bunk beds shaked a bit they could be fixed on the wall and a little shelf or sth for phone and water would be nice too. This was not bad but could be improved.

• Christoph (9/5): One of the best hostels we stayed in - The beds were the most comfortable we have had on our trip through Thailand so far. The staff was super friendly and their restaurant has delicious food and cute cats. The lockers are decently sized and the towels were really clean (no spots, unusual in hostels). The top of the toilet tank was missing. The construction work made the area in front of the room quite dirty (the noise was during very reasonable hours, so no problem from there)

• Agnieszka (10/5): Comfortable and clean - it was an amazing hostel, the owner is so nice! She helped me when I couldn't find a taxi at 7 in the morning, otherwise, I would miss my flight. The hostel is very comfortable and I was feeling at home even tho I was the only one in the room. There is a good wifi connection and I could work remotely from the restaurant downstairs that belongs to the hostel :)

Excellent - very welcoming , very clean , Wi-Fi is excellent everywhere in rooms and restaurant/ bar, air conditioning is excellent and very quiet , the hostess/ owner is KK and is very welcoming, funny and helpful. the ambiance in the restaurant/ bar is very relaxing, the food is fantastic and is very reasonably priced nothing
• Oldeide (10/5): Lovely stay! - I originally went to get my visa extended, but I loved the hostel, so chose to stay a bit longer on koh Samui. The beds were super comfortable, good AC, and the staff and owner was super friendly and always greeting you with a smile. Furthermore they were super helpful with the last form I needed (tm30) and even drove and got it printed for me. It feels like it's far away from anything, but I quickly found out that you kinda need a scooter when you're on Samui, so this issue was resolved by just renting a scooter.

I will definitely stay again! - The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, the owner even took me to the night market and shared a few drinks. The bed was super comfy and the room had great AC I was the only guest there for 2 nights, which of course is no fault of theirs, they made me feel right at home. having only started the hostel in march can understand it being quiet.

• Ella (10/5): Exceptional - I had the most wonderful stay at Blockhouse Hostel. The host made me feel extremely welcome on my late arrival and I felt at home with her friendliness and warm energy. I would highly recommend staying here. It has a chilled vibe at night and plays acoustic music, which adds a nice touch to the bar area. The rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfy- my favourite hostel by far in the whole of Thailand. Would definitely recommend staying here in Koh Samui!

Hidden gem on Koh Samui Really friendly staff and a lovely owner, alongside clean, well kept and extremely comfortable rooms :) Slightly far from some of the spots on Koh Samui, but this is no issue if you ride a scooter around.

• Raychel (10/5): Exceptional - loved the rooms the staff are very sweet and friendly. she had a restaurant before the hostel for 8 years. if you want traditional Thai food this is a great place. maybe the best I’ve had in Thailand so far. it’s very new so bare with them. miss samui has done this all on her own and it’s a wicked start. glad we got to pilot the location. we were very happy with our stay. all new. they need staff in the mornings for check out. and lining up cab services to get to the ferries and such would be nice. there’s no assurance of getting a ride on time.
