Guest Reviews
- Andrew (8/5): Nice place. Easy check in - Reasonably priced Location was a little far away and the parking situation was a little odd, needed to access a lock box for garage access between 11pm-7am, sensor lighting in hallways needs to be adjusted to come on quicker
- Clint (8/5): Good enjoyable stay. Will return and hopefully as the new premises evolve things will be even better - Good area. Quiet and close to CBD and North Adelaide Reception needs some work. A more defined area would be great
- Gabriel (9/5): Very positive! Unfortunate that having a shower disrupts so much the quality of the room. - Very beautiful facilities, the room was comfortable and well equipped. And is located in a prime location without being in the city. The shower screen does not hold the water in the shower and it leaked all over the front area of the room. It took 3 shower towels to try and contain it. Definitely something that could be worth looking into if the shower setting is the same in other rooms.
- Michaela (10/5): - Convenient location, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff
- Amy (8/5): - The premises were very new, and the room was compact but thoughtfully designed. The hotel is also close to the Adelaide Botanic Garden/Adelaide Zoo, and to North Adelaide, and in walking distance of Adelaide CBD (30 mins or so). You do have a to travel a bit for food though (aside from the lovely but very expensive fine dining restaurant downstairs which shares the building). Staff were very lovely. There’s also a modest gym on ground floor. The room had some plumbing issues/water leaking from the base of the tap and spilling over the counter/luggage rack. We also had some difficulty contacting the concierge on arrival (the booth is not always staffed).

- a (8/5): - Brand new reasonable price. No light over the mirror for my wife to put her makeup on. The room was very new and was missing a few standard features that I can not think of now besides the mirror.
- Olivia (10/5): -
- John (10/5): surprisingly great - Modern and clean, wonderful helpful staff nothing

- Catherine (10/5): - Room was lovely - clean and roomy. Perfect. An easy walk to everywhere.

- Scott Harrison (8/5): - Modern clean great shower facility Location was away from nearly everything but parks.
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Shayne (9/5): Worth the money! - Beautiful room, very comfortable bed. Lovely view. Had problems accessing Netflix but they came and sorted it for us The toilet and the shower aren’t in a seperate ‘bathroom’. They are kind of a part of the room
- Burrell (7/5): -
- Brad Stone (8/5): The Hotel is modern, clean and well located to Adelaide. We walked from the hotel to the city center - Rooms were great, location of hotel was convenient Following pre-payment for the room, there was a requirement for on-line check, which was primarily designed to secure credit card details so that a temporary hold could be arranged with my bank ($200), designed to cover any damage to the room. This process involved dozens of direct emails, texts and communications through Booking.Com. It was excessive and me and my friends were increasingly annoyed by the repeated communications.

- Prudence (8/5): Beautiful aesthetic. Odd bathroom. - This isn interesting concept- there’s no receptionist as such, just a concierge and you’ll need to verify your ID beforehand online in order to check in.
Car parking was good - undercover and elevator straight to the floor. Quiet hotel. Beautiful looking upmarket restaurant on ground floor (no breakfast). Didn’t have a the chance to dine there. Easy walk to a coffee shop about 400m nearby. Bathroom and toilet set up is weird. Little privacy when showing or using toilet. Sink is located out of the bathroom within the hotel room. Fine for 1 person or couples who are very comfortable around each other but don’t book for a first date!!
- Linda (9/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): Very good - Everything Nothing
- John (6/5): - The staff were essential when available. But management seems to want to eliminate staff. It’s a dumb idea Self management

- Angelene (10/5): Perfect - Facilities are more than adequate at a great price. Will continue to utilise this facility throughout the year Nothing, dont change a thing :)
- Ronald (9/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Excellent -
- Sarah (5/5): -
- Tara (7/5): - The bed was incredibly comfy and it was a very spacious room. The location was not great. Felt quite far from everything and then next to an incredibly busy road that has no crossings at any point, so it felt very sketchy trying to cross.
- Carey (3/5): -
- Jason (9/5): - Location.
Staff Excellent.
Cleanliness. Lack of privacy in both shower and toilet.

Free underground parking also available Nothing. All good
- Paola (10/5): -
- loveland (5/5): It was okay. Not pleased about the noise or pillow with blood on it - Complimentary snacks were lovely and bed was large. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The aircon was far too loud and disrupted our sleep the entire night. Our pillow has dried blood on it from another person before us. Had a very poor nights sleep after a big day of travel
- Tara (3/5): - Good location. Staff were friendly. Room had limited area to move around. Pillows were ridiculously plump and hard, and lighting was so poor I was using my phone torch to try and put my makeup on. Traffic noise was also quite loud. Available parking for checking in is poky. Glad we weren't in our four wheel drive.
When we checked in, the staff member said "there are some food and drink items in your room to enjoy". He gave the impression that they were complimentary. There was only one bottle of lemon drink and a packet of some fudge with the security seal missing from the back.
- Clint (9/5): Great stay, pity the restaraunt wasnt opened more. Also a bar would be great. - Close to city and North Adelaide Pillows were a bit big, some door locks are still not working correctly.
- STUART (8/5): -
- Nguyen (10/5): - Its new and comfortable
- Leslie (5/5): Noisy aircon and vents - Room was nice and clean, friendly staff Couldnt sleep because of the noisy air con and very loud vent next to it.
Partner had surgery and we finally had some time away from our 2 special needs boys and we just wanted to have a couple nights good sleep and relax. Really disappointed. I spoke with staff when checking out and told them how bad it was.
- Natalie (10/5): - Beautiful calm and clean hotel close to all things Adelaide has to offer.
Staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. Great Aircon needed during the heatwave and easy access to buses right outside.
Close to botanical gardens for a nice walk into the city.
Lovely spacious room and decent gym facilities. Nothing
- Wayne (8/5): - Everything The traffic noise on Hackney Road
- Tafadzwa (9/5): Wonderful stay. Very clean and comfortable and was very close to the city which was great! - Very clean and modern facilities and quite close to the city
- Sugriv (1/5): -
- Jemielene (9/5): - Beautiful modern design facing nature. The smell in the car parking area. It smells like a fish died down there. Smells like off prawns.
- Jeffrey (10/5): This was a great find. Enjoyed staying here. - Clean with new and renovated facilities.
- Mathew (8/5): -
- Nikki (7/5): -
- Ali (1/5): Paid for a room I was never able to enter. - Unfortunately, I’m unable to comment on what I liked about the property because I was never able to access the room I paid for.
Despite completing the required steps, I was left without after‑hours check‑in instructions, waited outside for nearly two hours, and could not access the parking that was advertised. As a result, I couldn’t stay at the property or experience any of the facilities. I couldn’t stay at the property at all, so what I didn’t like was the complete failure of access and support.
There were no after‑hours check‑in instructions, no way to enter the building, and the parking that was advertised was not available. I waited outside for almost two hours at night with no real assistance. Because of this, I never entered the room or used any facilities.
- Susie (7/5): Great new place to try in Adelaide with a few teething issues - Great location with new modern facilities. Free parking and friendly staff The internal noise of the room was quite loud. We turned the aircon right down and still we had some kind of industrial fan sound throughout the night. Also the shower soap was completely empty and the shower water came under the door and into the entry part of our room.
- ReviewedbyNathan (8/5): - Modern and clean Noisy air-conditioning
No view out of balcony
- Wayne (7/5): Better suited to business than leisure travellers. - New, clean, parking. Road noise, bathroom design, no crockery or cutlery
- Tim (8/5): - Perfect location from which to walk into the city from and to nearby restaurants in Melbourne St. Incomplete building site, and ultra thin staffing level
- Carla (7/5): - Location and clean Toilet was flooding
- Louise (8/5): It was very clean Close to the gardens - Bed was very comfortable
Quiet not noisy at all No microwave

- MALCOLM (8/5): -

- Christina (9/5): Perfect ! Comfortable and very nice - The rooms are very nice, the bed is very comfortable- I appreciate the linen and extra large pillows. Only criticism is the verification process as I had previously stayed and had to repeat the process. While I understand it’s important, the verification platform does not accept digital forms. I was waiting for my new licence to arrive in the mail and there was no grace given that the physical card I could provide was expired just days prior .
Feedback on the parking situation is frustrating as the remote that is meant to be made available must have been lost so climbing up on a chair to manually press the roller door wasn’t ideal but I’m confident it’s the long term solution .
- SIMON (10/5): Relaxed, safe, convenient, clean hotel with really easy friendly staff. - Close to the river walking trails that connect to the city, WOMAD and Fringe Festival sites and Botanic Gardens. On arrival we knew we had made the right decision with welcoming staff, clean and modern throughout the hotel, we even had the option to check a couple of rooms to make sure we were comfortable so we chose a lovely sunny room looking through the trees over to the Botanic Garden. The main road is right there but wasn’t to noisy but we carry earplugs just incase. Everything about our experience was perfect and really enjoyed staying there as we were close to the WOMADelaide music festival site. We couldn't find a safe place to leave the room door key cards when we left at 4am to get our flight so we left them on the front reception table.
Everything was really good. Thank you.

- Raymond (9/5): Convenient and very Clean -
- Sally (9/5): Great location for Botanic Park. - Great location for Botanic Park.
Clean and functionally laid out. Comfortable bed. We had a noisy room to start with: noisy air con and noise from a yard below. After asking reception to change, we moved to a different room which was really quiet and restful.
- Marie (8/5): - The room was pleasant. There were no breakfast making facilities like a toaster, crockery, microwave ect.
We just wanted to have a quick breakfast before the golf and then heat a meal for dinner er and this was not possible.
- Charles (9/5): - Most things Self checkin does not suit me at all. Especially when arriving at night That needs to be indicated on booking.
- Susannah (8/5): Excellent hotel, terrible customer service. - The hotel itself was excellent - clean, all facilities working, comfortable bed, nice linen, good lighting options. The concierge, when one was there, was also friendly and helpful. BUT... Dealing with Urban Rest was frustrating and also somewhat intrusive. I contacted them on a number of occasions, and they were not available by phone, chat-bot or email. They got back to me sometimes 2 hours later, by which time it was too late to answer the question or concern I had. Further, prior to arriving at the hotel I received an sms from URban Rest instructing me to fill out a pre-arrival questionaire for check-in. It was presented as necessary for check in. THis questionairre has multiple marketing questions and the instruction to send photo of ID/drivers licence, front and back, and a selfie headshot. This is deeply concerning from the point of view of personal information security. When I called to ask about it my call/chat wasn't answered - as above.
- Heather (10/5): Excellent value in great location - Really impressed with the hotel - booked at short notice and provided excellent value in a great location. Would highly recommend.
- Jesse (7/5): Enjoyable. - Location was good, had secure car parking. The showers drainage isn't right. The water quickly flows to the door and outside. We had to ask for extra towels to barricade the shower door to stop water going everywhere.
- Zoe (7/5): -
- hewitt (7/5): - Evacuated at 4 am due to a fire alarm.
Apparently someone had a vape that set off the entire buildings alarm

- Alex (1/5): Won't waste time staying here again - Convenient place. It's an online system like AirBNB and there is no mention of this prior to booking. Also, the attendance when trying to call for assistance is not there.
Not to mention the very strange people in the accommodation.
Won't stay here again.
- Cody (8/5): Mostly good. - Good value Glasses in room obviously weren’t changed. Had lipstick on them and remnants of sticky liquid inside the glass. Other than that no issues
- Do (9/5): -
- Lynn (8/5): -
- KELSTON (9/5): Perfect 2night stay - Modern, well equipped room with a great shower
- Mathew (8/5): -
- Tiana (8/5): -
- Nicholas (8/5): -
- Katrina (10/5): Great value for money not far from the city - Nice touch with free water and soft drinks in the mini bar and free toffees, staff were super friendly, very nice new and clean rooms! Nothing bad to report
- Collins (9/5): -
- Cameron (9/5): Enjoyed our stay. Would stay again - Clean, comfortable, good location, great value, good parking The “bathroom” arrangement
