Having eggs for breakfast fresh from the chicken coop in the yard was a lovely added bonus. Many private areas inside and outside where you could escape to yourself or meet up with other guests.

Juliette upgraded us to a deluxe king room, as it had no booking. Breakfast was a delicious, friendly experience with fresh eggs. Juliette loves engaging with her guests! She recommended the Bridgeman’s Bistro for our evening meal. Great venue on the water and delicious chowder.

Her home was cozy, welcoming, impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. As for the breakfasts … delicious farm-fresh eggs, organic sourdough bread, fruit, french toast and other goodies were cooked to order. Yum! Juliette was so helpful with great suggestions for sight-seeing, shopping, restaurants, hiking destinations and much more! Everything was perfect. We loved our stay!

- Paolo (10/5): The most relaxing vacation I ever had! - The place is *very* quiet, no street or neighborhood noise. Very relaxing environment. Walking distance from the beach and only 1.5Km from shops. Within 15 minutes of driving there are really nice and shaded trails. Heymay, my dog, also appreciated the neighborhood park and this comfy place.

The host ess Juliette made a incredible smoothie and a bowl of porridge that was second to none. It was just what I needed and the conversation was absolutely wonderful. I particularly loved the sun room and spent a good portion of my time there. The breakfast was delicious and included fresh sun-dried tomatoes from the garden. Just a great stay in a lovely location. - Brian (10/5): Would come again - I wanted to take that KingSize Bed home with me. hahha...soooo comfortable ! And the breakfast, well she just kept feeding me. Offering more and more of a variety of foods. We had good laughs together and great conversations. Wonderful host. Even a referral to a local mechanic for a dead car battery replacement. I honestly don't think there could be any improvements.
- Pavlo (10/5): Great for a one-night rest while traveling. - Really friendly and warm host. Feels like you are back at a family house when you’re there. Great for staying a night to rest. I wouldn’t go to the city of Mill Bay again. Nothing to do there, except visiting farms and vineyards. Also, the privacy in the house is none; you are basically renting a room next to other strangers, sharing a shower and all the other places in the house.

Excellent host who provides you with a great breakfast which you have choices of friut smoothie, oatmeal and fruit or an egg toast and fresh fruit where the eggs are from her free range chickens. Nothing to complain about.Things to remember is to rent a car. They have one taxi in Mill Bay. They have bus service just outside her property. Uber is primarily in Victoria and pretty well non existent up the island.

- GardenKat (10/5): Quiet residential home with close access to Highway 1 or a pretty drive through the country. - We made a last minute decision to spend one more night on Vancouver Island, and Bayview B & B was available and close enough to places we were added - Ladysmith and the Crow and Gate pub. Our hostess, Juliette texted complete instructions in case she was away so we could enter on arrival, but she was there to greet us and show us the comfortable accommodations and access to several rooms in her home. After a restful night, we enjoyed French pressed coffee in our spacious room and again in the sunroom while she prepared a delicious, healthy breakfast with fresh poached eggs (we said thank you to the hens before departing).

Wir fühlten uns wie in einem Haus von guten Freunden. Zu der von uns gewünschten Zeit haben wir das Frühstück mit frischen Eiern vom Hühnerstall sehr genossen. Es war das beste Bett, was wir bisher auf unserer Reise in Kanada erlebt haben. Da die Beschreibung der Suite bei Booking.com bezüglich des eigenen Badezimmers nicht ganz stimmte, erhielten wir als Upgrade die Suite (das Zimmer) mit Kingsize Bett und eigenem Bad und zwei Sesseln. Die angebotene Suite mit Queensize Bett hat ein Zimmer mit eigenem WC und Waschbecken, die Dusche wird mit der unten liegenden Suite geteilt. Diese Suite wiederum hat dagegen das WC nicht direkt im Zimmer, sondern daneben. Alles ist sehr sauber und hat zudem verschiedene getrennte Sitzgelegenheiten, die gemeinschaftlich nutzbar sind. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sehr wohl dort.

They loaned us things we didn't have, ( was very nice) We only had breakfast 1 morning as it needed to planned and was kind of inconvenient. Our schedule was full so that didn't work for us. not their fault. (just not what I expected) It had a faint old smell. No coffee maker, just a French press. I didn't like sharing a shower.

- Lourdes (10/5): Excellent place to stay and relaxed in Victoria island with superb host and food. - It felt like home. Juliette was superb, very helpful and was even like a tour guide that provided us her insights how to plan our itineraries and provided us a map of the island. We love our whole stay, with a very spacious bedroom that was better than a suite room worth the money. The best breakfast, all organic, fresh eggs were from her own chicken coop that she takes care of and feed them with all organic stuff, fruits and smoothies that I loved too. Even her toiletries are organic that I ended up buying from the store. My husband has been bugging me to give Juliette the best rating. Thank you and will surely recommend and come back if given again the chance. Nothing really.

Bed was comfy with tge room clean. It being an older style house didnt realize that some of the switches turned off powers to outlets. Ended up plugging phone in only to turn off the outlet with the lamp.

Very welcoming and interesting host. Very close to Mill Bay ferry and a really good bistro on the docks at Mill Bay marina. Room very comfortable with great linens. Not a problem but the main bathroom with shower is shared. The two upstairs bedrooms have ensuite toilet and wash basin.

- John (10/5): Relaxing, soulful, comfortable fresh space with attentive and caring host. - There are guest houses and B&Bs that go the extra mile because their owners manage them with a large chunk of soul, and this is one of them! I was delighted with my weekend stay. The large B&B is in a scenic, quiet suburb of Mill Bay. It is signposted, and the driveway and entrance are well lit. Less than a 3-minute ride down the road is a well-sourced and well-stocked shopping centre where you can get all the supplies needed. Juliette is a warm, insightful, caring host who pays close attention to her guests’ needs. For example, on the nights I arrived late, she came down to meet me to ensure that all the lights were on and that I had arrived safely. She took the trouble to make a delicious gluten-free breakfast. One morning, I observed her assisting other guests with expert knowledge of the local area, routes and attractions. The place is spacious, spotlessly clean, with a refreshing, laid-back atmosphere. There is a large kitchen, which she leaves open to her guests with a selection of tea and coffee. It was excellent value for money and well worth the trip off the beaten track ( the area is fantastic for nature lovers), but within a comfortable 60-minute drive to Sidney or Victoria. I highly recommend you visit. I hope to take my entire family there at some stage I would have liked to be able to cook a meal in the kitchen, but I do understand the host's restrictions.

Juliette was friendly, welcoming, interesting & engaging makes a great breakfast smoothie & eggs fresh from a few metres away from the back door. I’d have preferred an ensuite bathroom but as I was the sole guest midweek it was all good. A full length mirror & blackout curtains would have made the space perfect. But stay was great.
- Graham (7/5): Hosts Juliet and Ty are great; very welcoming, considerate and fun to be with - The breakfast was magnificent, the location very handy and in a beautiful part of Vancouver Island The room we booked had too much furniture and not enough space to access the bed from both sides, The bathroom was upstairs and shared with two other rooms (though this did not prove a problem)
