Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): Great stay - should have been longer - The location is excellent for a visit to Northern Finistere, but, its worth far more for the facilities and interaction with
Mr. Kermorgant. If you travel to learn and experience, you can do no better - and we did both. There's more to Brittany than the casual American traveller probably knows, but should before going, and without this stop we would not have. What we learned influenced the balance of our our next couple weeks. Otherwise, the facilities are historic, fabulously preserved, comfortable and convenient and very much worth the price. This stop is essential on a swing through Brittany. Nothing.
- daniel (8/5): Fantastic - The space and history Nothing
- Kelly (10/5): Highly recommended! - Jean-Christophe and Michelle were exemplary hosts, welcoming us to their manor and giving us a fantastic tour with historical information on the property. They also arranged a restaurant reservation for us as many were closed out of season. The main hall was a beautiful setting for breakfast and the bedrooms were fabulous. Highly recommended!

- Lio (10/5): Amazingly beautiful, outstanding experience. - Everything. Absolutely beautifully renovated manoir. High quality furniture, bed and bed linen. Peaceful and quiet surrounding. Super nice host, helps with restaurant reservation. RAS
- Alison (10/5): Fantastic short stay in a beautiful, atmospheric building, with great hosts! - Arriving at Le Manoir de Kerenneur, we were warmly greeted by our hosts, Jean-Christophe and Michelle.
Arriving here, it is impossible to suppress a gasp of delight, especially for those among us who love history and beautiful, ancient stone buildings, redolent of many lives lived in eras long past…
This is a real gem!
After the tea and welcome and listening to Jean-Christophe and Michelle relating the history of their uniquely special home, we excitedly wended our way to our room, via the ancient stone staircase, with its cut capital, onto the first landing. Opening the door to our room, although perhaps the word ‘chamber’ is more appropriate, we discovered a vestibule, off which the shower room and facilities led, before entering the bedroom. The shower room is well-lit and well-designed and sparklingly clean…
The style of our room was light, warm and minimalist, which perfectly showed off its ancient granite fireplace and leaded, shuttered windows. There was an unusual, designer, standard lamp which switched on and off with a hovering palm, plus tea and coffee making facilities.
We were shown the room adjacent to ours: the former reception chamber of the master of the house, which is now a wonderful, very large room, ideal for a newly wed couple, with a curved ceiling, realised by carpenters who also were skilled boat builders. Very beautiful and private, with lovely, modern bath tub to luxuriate in…
In the morning, we were treated to an excellent breakfast - in my case cooked bacon and eggs and freshly-squeezed orange juice…. Perfect.
After breakfast one of our hosts led us to the first floor of the ancient tower, across the cobbled yard…
Our hosts explained that they are able to accommodate wedding celebrations, in a separate building, opposite the main house. What an amazingly lovely place to celebrate this must be. They also are equipped to hold small conferences as well as musical events, here…
A perfect stay! Highly recommended! There was nothing which detracted from our stay!
Rien
