• ANASTASia (10/5): Idyllic jungle lodge with modern amenities - Serene, very comfortable and mosquito proof! Marienala, the host was extremely helpful and answered all our questions and provided us with recommendations for activities in the area. The air conditioning was much appreciated ! It would be good to have some staples in the kitchen , such as salt, pepper and oil.

Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, die Einrichtung ist sehr komfortabel. Viltor ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt! Leider gibt es in den Duschen kein warmes Wasser, ansonsten war alles perfekt.

• Joachim (10/5): Ein Traum - wir geben 11 von 10 Punkten - Ein Juwel. Sehr moderne, toll ausgestattete und wunderschön gelegene Lodge mit Blick aus den Sarapiqui Fluss. Es gibt nur zwei Lodges auf dem Gelände, die 30 Meter Abstand voneinander haben. Also sehr viel Privatsphäre mitten in der Natur. Großer Balkon mit Hängematte, Schaukelstuhl und kleiner Sitzgruppe. Gut ausgestattete Küche. Schnelles WiFi und gute Klimaanlagen. Zudem eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die uns bei der Buchung von zwei Touren vor Ort unterstützt hat. Insbesondere die "Best Chocolate Tour" können wir sehr empfehlen. Dieser Ort ist traumhaft schön und unbedingt zu empfehlen!

• Hans-J. (9/5): Ansprechendes Haus in gepflegtem Park und sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber - Vielen Dank für den herzlichen Empfang. Unserere Gastgeberin Cecilia und ihr Mitarbeiter Victor haben sich wirklich sehr um uns gekümmert. Das Haus liegt in einem großen (5000 qm?) Garten / Park direkt am Fluss. Da gibt es viel zu entdecken, auch von der großzügigen Terrasse aus. Im Park ein Pavillon mit Grillstelle. Die beiden Doppelzimmer sind ausreichend groß. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von Serapiqui. Das Waschbecken befindet sich einsehbar am Ende eines kleinen Flurs. Bei der Anfahrt zum Haus muss man aufmerksam sein - es fehlt eine Beschilderung am Strassenrand. Man kann also leicht am Haus vorbeifahren.
• Andrea (10/5): Unbeschreiblich schön und einfach nur perfekt - Absolut fantastisch - super freundlicher Empfang. Der Bungalow äußert modern und stilvoll. In der Einrichtung ist alles zu finden, sogar eine Waschmaschine. Traumhaft große Terrasse mit Dschungelatmosphäre und Blick auf den Fluss. Morgens und abends hört man die Brüllaffen ganz laut. Wir haben den Lieferservice genutzt. Es wurde alles mit viel Liebe und in super Qualität besorgt. Wir sind total begeistert 🤩 Da fällt uns gar nichts ein.

• Waldemar (10/5): Magisch! - Ein fantastisches Haus, mitten in der Natur, direkt am Rio Sarapiqui Fluss. Die Ausstattung der Unterkunft könnte nicht besser sein. Wir verbrachten tolle Zeit auf der Terrasse (in der Hängeliege).Es war ein wow Erlebnis, dieser Ort hat was magisches. Schade dass wir nur auf der durchreise dort eine Nacht verbracht haben, gerne wären wir länger geblieben. Schlüsselübergabe und Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war sehr gut.

• Magali (10/5): Absolute perfection - The place is absolutely beautiful, the lodge itself is in beautiful surroundings, everything is modern and clean, you have everything you need...but most of all: thank you to the amazingly lovely people there who helped us when we got stuck in the mud with our car after we left and took a wrong turn, and who came to help us from that situation. We were already enchanted by our stay at the lodge, but that on top of it all just really touched us so much! Again: thank you very very much. Absolutely nothing!

Hay un quincho divino a la.orilla del rio para hacer fuego y disfrutar del lugar. Todo estuvo increible!! Muchas gracias..volveremos!! Solo mejoraria la uluminacion de la habitacion ya que es un poco fuerte. Agregaria lamparas a la par de la cama o alguna luz mas tenue. ;)
• Ariane (10/5): - Incroyable endroit entouré de grands arbres tropicaux et d'oiseaux, aux abords de la rivière. La vue est absolument magnifique !! Il est même possible de faire du kayak à partir du lodge. Ce fut un coup de coeur qui vaut le détour. En famille ou en couple, c'est un endroit parfait pour contempler la nature. Prêt de la ville de Sarapiqui et des activités touristiques (réserves fauniques, rafting et autres). Nous étions entre deux arrêts, pour aller vers tortuguero et avons bien apprécié notre trouvaille. Il faut aussi souligner que l'accueil fut très très bien ! Merciii

Looked for a place to stay before going to Tortuguero and found the best place we stayed in so far in C - Everything in this place is high end, beautiful and comfortable and you could see how every tiny detail is thought of. The place itself is located right on the river, quiet and beautiful with many little magical spots in the garden. The host was wonderful as well. Super friendly and welcoming. I had a zoom meeting on the check out time and she kindly let me stay until I was done. The wifi was strong and stable. This place was off the grid for us and we are extremely happy to have found it!
• Michelle (9/5): Luxe cabin! - Supermooi, modern en luxe huisje. Zeker voor CR begrippen. Aan de rivier en met mooi uitzicht op een soort tuin. Heerlijk terras waar je kan ontspannen. Hebben zelf 2 avonden gekookt en dat ging prima. Ideaal ook om de auto voor de deur te kunnen zetten. Hebben ook 2 wassen kunnen draaien, dat was top. Er zaten een hoop spinnenraggen op de (hoge) plafonds. Verder niks op aan te merken.
• wendyvb (9/5): Luxueus huis in groene omgeving - Mooi huis in een groene omgeving. Verrast door de variëteit aan vogels. Er zaten 2 spechten en 2 toekans in de tuin. Het is er leuk om te wandelen, vlak naast de rivier. Het huis is goed koel te houden dankzij de airco. Alles is mooi en luxueus afgewerkt. 2 slaapkamers zodat we elkaar 's nachts niet wakker hielden. Leuk dat er een fruitmand is voorzien op de dag van aankomst. Het terras is groot en overdekt zodat je ook buiten kan zitten als het regent. Op de dag van ons vertrek wilden we nog even relaxen, maar de tuinman was al van 8u bezig met een bladblazer (later zouden we weten dat dit blijkbaar de nationale sport is in Costa Rica ;-) Een goed onderhouden tuin komt natuurlijk niet vanzelf. Wat we minder leuk vonden was het sportvliegtuigje en de helikopter die dagelijks rakelings boven het huis scheerden. Blijkbaar om de bananenplantages te besproeien...
• Diana (9/5): Geweldig. - Een hele mooie lodge in een prachtige oase/tuin aan de rivier. Mooi ingericht, wij waren er rond de kerstperiode en er waren allerlei kerstversieringen. Goed ingericht! In de tuin kon je rondlopen via kleine paadjes met een stromend beekje. Vanuit de slaapkamer een mooi uitzicht.

The two villas are beautifully built—perfect for a family looking to be immersed in nature, surrounded by woods and right by the river. The host was extremely responsive, and the staff were welcoming, kind, and attentive. They took wonderful care of all our needs and went above and beyond in so many thoughtful ways. Getting to know the people there truly enhanced our stay. In the morning, the host brought us fresh bread and even helped me when we went into town, personally guiding me to the fish store so I could buy fresh fish. We genuinely felt like we were staying with family. I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge to anyone looking to stay in this area—it was a truly special experience. I liked everything

• Thorpe (10/5): Great! - The best place we stayed in Costa Rica. The quality of the home was exceptional and the hostess was so helpful and kind. Definitely worth the money. The only thing I didn't like was that the bedding and towels smelled too strongly of fabric softener. I wish the bedding did not have that strong of a scent as I am allergic to it and many other people are as well.
• Fred (10/5): Super comfy lodge op een top lokatie! - Prachtige lodge aan de Sarapiqui rivier. Voorzien van alle gemakken met goede bedden en een super douche! Bbq wordt klaar voor gebruik gemaakt door de lieve mensen die de lokatie beheren. Super goed contact met de eigenaar. Moeder van de eigenaar zorgde voor verse tortillas met vlees, ook vers fruit was er aanwezig. Eigenlijk niets.
• Daniel (4/5): Nous ne recommandons pas cet établissement - Le lieu est agréable et le cadre est visuellement plaisant. Enfermés dans l’établissement : impossible de sortir pour aller dîner, aucun personnel sur place, aucune réponse au bouton d’appel ni à la sonnette, ni au téléphone. Aucune assistance en cas d’urgence : situation potentiellement dangereuse si quelque chose de grave arrivait. Aucun geste après l’incident : malgré l’explication, même un simple petit-déjeuner en chambre ne nous a pas été proposé. Échanges très décevants avec l’hôte : messages accusateurs, ton inapproprié, inversion de responsabilité alors que nous n’avons fait que décrire les faits. Mauvaise gestion du portail : on nous avait expliqué que le personnel ouvrait, mais personne n’était présent au moment où nous en avons eu besoin.

The lodge is beautifully located in a quiet and safe area, surrounded by nature. It’s an ideal place to rest, listen to the sounds of the forest, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were absolutely wonderful — always kind, smiling, and eager to help. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay truly special and unforgettable. We were three women traveling together, and we all agreed this was our favorite accommodation in Costa Rica. Wir haben unsere Zeit hier sehr genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Marianela und Cecila war sehr unkompliziert und beide waren sehr freundlich.

• Marvin (10/5): Geweldig verblijf op een heerlijk rustige, mooie plek. - De locatie is prachtig. Het betreft twee lodges gelegen op een erg rustig landgoed welke aan de rivier grenst. De tuin is ook erg mooi aangelegd en hier hebben we al verschillende diertjes gezien zoals grote sprinkhanen en kikkertjes. Later zagen we ook apen in de bomen bij de rivier klimmen. De lodge daarnaast is erg mooi, ruim opgezet, lijkt vrij nieuw en heerlijk rustig. Hygiëne zeer goed en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het balkon is eveneens heerlijk groot met mooi licht welke 'savonds een mooi zicht biedt op de tuin. Via de host hebben wij een boottocht geboekt over de rivier waar de lodge aan grenst. De prijs/kwaliteitverhouding was zeer goed hiervan. De tocht is goedkoper dan dat we op internet zagen. We werden beneden aan onze lodge opgepikt met de boot. Tijdens de tocht hebben we verschillende dieren gezien, oa toekans, snakebirds, apen, basilisks en leguanen. Wij zijn een gezin met een kind van 3. Deze lodge is voor ons een geweldig rustig startpunt geweest van onze reis. Speciale vermelding voor de eigenaresse van de lodge en haar moeder. Zij hielpen ons met alles wat we nodig hadden en stonden altijd voor ons klaar, ook toen we hun lodge al verlaten hadden naar de volgende bestemming. Niets.

• Alexandra (10/5): - It's a fantastic lodge surrounded by huge jungle trees in a beautiful garden. You hear the animals the whole day while sitting on the balcony or lying in the hammock. The lodge is very well maintained and very well equipped, you find there everything you need. We stayed there for 4 nights. The staff is so friendly, Marianela and her mom care about you and we got exceptional recommendations for day trips from them.

The location is perfect, right on the Saripiquí River, and the house feels brand new with chic design and top-quality materials. It feels like a boutique hotel. The terrace view is stunning, the kitchen fully equipped, and the shower excellent with hot water and a rainfall shower. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the barbecue area. Everything is thoughtfully designed and well maintained.

• quentin (9/5): Un séjour très confortable dans un logement moderne et bien équipé, idéal pour l’autonomie et le repos en pleine nature. - Les logements sont neufs, très bien équipés et la literie est très confortable. Tout est prévu pour pouvoir cuisiner soi-même, et la présence d’une machine à laver est un vrai plus. Nous avons aussi apprécié le barbecue extérieur, allumé par Josée, ce qui était très pratique. Il serait vraiment agréable que l’établissement propose un service de petit-déjeuner et de dîner, car cela manque un peu. Et il faut savoir qu’il y a pas mal de moustiques et de petites bestioles le soir.
• Spielberger (10/5): Sensationelles, modernes Haus mit fantastischem Blick - Sensationelles Haus - sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtet, tollem Bad mit sehr großer Dusche, gigantisch gelegen direkt im Regenwald am Sarapiquí Fluss. Große Terrasse mit Hängematte und fantastischem Blick. Spitze ausgestattete Küche. Abends kann man Terrasse und Garten wunderschön beleuchten. Das Haus und der Blick sind so bezaubernd schön, dass wir selbst gekocht haben und auch im Haus gefrühstückt hatten, um Haus und Blick zu genießen. Beim Frühstück konnten wir Brüllaffen hören. Sehr freundliche Eigentümerin, die sich per WhatsApp ganz liebevoll gekümmert hat. Vielen Dank! Können wir absolut empfehlen. Alles war absolut perfekt.

• Sarah (10/5): Beautiful rainforest lodge. - Beautiful terrasse that made us feel like we were in the middle of the forest while being completely protected from the downpour that we had while we were there. We used the fire at the bottom of the garden to barbecue our food and ate both nights in our house. It was amazing. The host is extremely helpful and we will definitely recommend Rio Saripiqui Lodge to anyone coming to this area.

• Jane (10/5): Stunning location and lodge - Such beautiful accommodation and location. The lodge has a huge veranda overlooking a river. From the verandah we saw fire flies, iguanas, howler monkeys and humming birds. Absolutely incredible. We are in Costa Rica for a month and so far this is our favourite place that we have stayed. We had no transport so might be useful to have a taxi number in the information as the location is quite remote. After arriving, the owner did message us whilst we were there which was brilliant and booked a taxi for us. 🙂
