Guest Reviews
- Eileen (9/5): - Breakfast was rather meagre and not very easily accessed
- Cummins (10/5): Fantastic comfort, quality and time spent there. - The door to the bathroom was very close to the bed and could be a bit awkward at times to navigate. But overall, easily overlooked
- Matt (9/5): A lovely small boutique hotel in the town centre. - Very central in the town. There is a large public car park behind the hotel. Free parking between 5pm and 9am. The only thing I would have liked was a cooked breakfast option.
- Wayne (8/5): Really lovely staff in The Hat Makers Hotel, Waterford. - Breakfast was nice but didn't realise it was a continental breakfast - cereal, croissant, meats/cheese, overnight oats tea/coffee.
- Gordon (10/5): Happy I Dungaravan - Fantastic location and great vibe Nothing
- orla (10/5): Ideal for a quick overnight stay. - Central, spotless, bedroom was beautiful and the staff were friendly and professional.
- Mullane (10/5): -
- Damien (9/5): -
- Antonia (8/5): Very central and very warm welcome! - Amazing location - lovely Artesan breakfast - very friendly staff No mini bar in room or any other facilities
Couldn’t get the TV to work on normal streaming but perhaps that was my fault
- Kari (8/5): Quick overnight while visiting a friend in the area. - Location and a king bed That we couldn’t enjoy it longer.
- Maurice (9/5): -
- David Gibson (9/5): - Location great. Room was lovely.
- Penny (10/5): Stay was awesome! Great location! - Location, staff, very clean, and bed was comfortable.
- Leisa (7/5): - The room was very nicely appointed. Our room was on the ground floor and right next to the access do to the front door. The people coming and going all night meant we could hear the door banging all night.

- Emma (9/5): -
- Annette (7/5): Beautiful decor fabulous location fantastic staff disappointing breakfast inadequate space that could be extended by bre - Location/Room/Staff/ Too expensive especially booking on booking.com The mezaline room while lovely is too small, dark and cramped and way over priced. The breakfast room is too small and uncomfortable. The breakfast offering is very limited and would be so much better if they were to include an egg dish e.g. poached eggs & avocado and would only require a small two ringed hot plate to make that possible. The overnight oats is a laugh and again would only require a hot ring to make it fresh. Very disappointing offering overall.
- Debbie (10/5): Perfect location, you could walk everywhere.A fabulous boutique hotel. - The rooms were so tasteful, comfortable beds, bathroom was fabulous, everything that you would need they had it.
Delicious continental breakfast.

- Kathleen (8/5): Stylish central location - The decor was very beautiful and cosy. Our room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice sized bathroom with lots of great toiletries.
Really great location near the bars and harbour.
Very friendly staff. Our room got incredibly warm so we had to sleep with the windows open.
The bathroom tap was also slightly loose and got more loose during our stay.
There was a consistent odd ticking or creaking in our room near the fridge so we just used our earplugs to sleep.
If we had been staying for more than 1 night we would have highlighted this to the staff.
Breakfast was only ok, the best thing were the pastries from Dun Bakery. No cooked options. Only protein option was salmon (not for me) and sliced deli meats (also not for me) For the price we paid a few eggs / French toast / pancakes might have been nice.
- Paul (10/5): Couples retreat - Loved everything from the minute I arrived to chilling having cocktails and just enjoying the friendliness of the staff. Just we didn't stay longer 😪

- Kingston (9/5): One night escape! Recommended! - Loved the location and the proximity of the public car park right behind the building! The decor in the room was fab, and the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in in a while!!
Dungarvan has so much to offer in terms of food, bars, music, history, maritime location, shops, beaches etc! As we requested a twin room, we were ideally located on the ground floor, but there were no chairs to sit on in the room to chill and relax and read! We were told that it was because it was an accessible room and that there wasn't space for chairs!! Not true, I believe! The bathroom was HUGE, and could have been smaller, unless it was a regulation! No space in the bathroom for guests to place toiletries, despite it being such a HUGE bathroom!
The staff were hurried and rushed, and some seemed a little undertrained. It was a bit on the expensive side!
- Louise (9/5): Well located and a warm atmosphere! - My husband stayed here for a family funeral and it was a lovely hotel and walkable to his destinations for this brief trip. We would be delighted to stay here when we return to Dungarvan. My husband had a very very early morning departure and it was tricky to find his way out of the hotel to meet up with the taxi to the train station without getting locked out! But all's well that ends well -- he made it to Waterford for the train with time to spare.
- Joseph (10/5): Wonderful stay in the middle of dungarvan - Beautiful hotel. Great bed, gorgeous bathroom, delicious breakfast
- Jane (9/5): - Really enjoyed our here - home from home

- maria (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay. - Great hotel, and staff were very helpful couldn't do enough for u.the location was brilliant, our room was very spacious and spotless we went the extra mile to book there suite was all I thought it was going to be we will go back again. We liked everything about this hotel.
- Elisha (8/5): Excellent Irish owned business worth visiting when you're in Waterford. - Location is excellent.
Breakfast was tasty and well presented.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
It was great to be able to store our bikes overnight on the premises.
The room was beautiful and very comfortable.
Check out time of 12 is very generous. The toiletries in the bathroom were really lovely. It would have been even nicer to see an Irish toiletries company supported.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect Stay - Beautiful little hotel, stay was wonderful. Service was amazing - kind, attentive, but relaxed. Room was spotless and bed was out-of-this~world comfortable with high quality bedding. I was so cozy I overslept by 2 hours! Fresh, delicious breakfast topped things off. A++ highly recommend. Nothing, it was great.
- Stephanie (9/5): -
- Brenda (9/5): Destination staycation - We were welcomed by the lovely and efficient Claudia, who was so nice and yet so professional. She showed us to our rooms, even though she was busy checking others in too..
Our rooms (4 different double rooms) were all decorated to the highest standard, real bijou style rooms, each individually decorated to the highest and quirky decor.
We all agreed the beds were definitely one of the more comfiest we have slept in.
Our breakfast the following morning, was a continental style buffet breakfast, offering juices, fruits, cereals, pastries with both overnight oats and Granola yoghurt offered from the kitchen. Coffee was from Badger and Dodo, absolutely delicious.
Even though, Dungarvan is a short distance away from us, we will definitely stay here again, with Dungarvan offering so much to do, see, choice of restaurants and bars. It sure is a destination staycation. I have no criticism to make.
- Marian (9/5): - It's a beautiful boutique hotel .lovely friendly staff Liked everything breakfast choices not great

- CBno1 (9/5): Really enjoyable. - We had a fantastic stay. Staff were very friendly. Room was large, comfy and clean. The bathroom was gorgeous and well designed, with an excellent shower and bathtub. Would highly recommend. Breakfast was continental and very nice. Would have been nice to have some hot food options, like eggs/omlette, etc. Only a very minor gripe.
