Guest Reviews
- Grant (10/5): I would be very happy to stay here again. - I arrived at about 11 o'clock and a cleaner met me and took me to my room in order to drop off my travel bag. I then left. I very much appreciated this. Later in the day I called and had to wait about 20 minutes to collect the keys. I had ample time so that was not a big thing. Some different arrangement to collect the keys. But, as I said above, I had time so the wait was not a big thing.
- Darren (10/5): - For a last minute book host was very accommodating and friendly made a rush booking very easy. Location so easy to get around, everything I needed very close by .. thank you
- Adrian (8/5): Great for dads and lads at gather round - Location and room for 6 blokes
- Gary (6/5): Reasonable accommodation in a good location. A bit overpriced for what you get. - The unit was comfortable and had a nice lounge kitchen area with a serviceable laundry. The location was great because it was close to public transport and within a free use city zone. It was easy to get wherever we needed to go. Following an initial message from the people managing the accommodation I had some reservations. I think an additional fee of $25 per day for parking is unreasonable. For the cost of accommodation I don't think I got great value.
- Munhutu (8/5): - Good responsive staff. Great advice on what to do in the city. Carpets need to be changed
- Diana (9/5): - I like the apartment, which was comfortable and big enough for all of us, with two bathrooms. The Manager was friendly and professional. He brought Christmas decorations, which we really appreciated. Thanks, Ian.
- Paula (5/5): - The location was great, so easy to get anywhere. Property requires cleaning and maintenance.
- Kennedy (8/5): -
- robyn (8/5): -
- Janet (5/5): Well located apartment but lack of a functioning internet made for a frustrating stay. - The house was good for two couples travelling together with 2 bathrooms and good sized bedrooms. The kitchen and living areas were adequate for our purposes. The location was good and easy to catch the free public transport and easy walking to restaurants. Our booking indicated that we would have high speed internet. The reality was that we had to ask for wifi and were given a pocket wifi . This had no data which was addressed but then the charge ran out. We asked for a charger and Ian said he’d see to it later but on contacting him that evening he said housekeeping would drop it off the next day. The next day the charger was delivered but wifi data ran out after 30 minutes. After contacting him that evening he gave us more but told us make it last as that would be it. We used it sparingly but it still only lasted a couple of hours and was gone by that evening. This is a totally inadequate service these days as people travelling use it to book activities , restaurants and research and plan their travel as well as maintaining contact with family and friends.
Our booking indicated there was an onsite reception at #14 to collect keys. This did not exist and we were waiting and wondering what to do after being dropped off by our uber. This led to some confusion but Ian did rectify it quickly.well The information on booking.com needs to be updated and our booking also stated we’d receive a bottle of wine. Ian scoffed at this even though I sent him a screenshot of our booking and we didn’t receive the wine.
Some aspects of cleaning were less than satisfactory.
- Ashleigh (8/5): -
- Vicki (8/5): We were only there for a brief time, but the facilities were great, comfy beds and close to the tram - Contact and instructions were great via text from Ian on the day and in the lead up. We were met at the property, with lots of information re transport and facilities in the area. We couldn't find tea towels.
- Ally (1/5): Lovely stay house left clean as expected, waiting for my bond back asked multiple times never got it back for month. -
- Timothy (10/5): -
- Narryn (1/5): - Location Not as advertised… no sofa bed and only sleeps 5 no 5
- Ally (10/5): Exceptional - Nice stay close to everything
- Nurul (8/5): Unlimited WIFI is a necessity. - Location n prompt reply from Ian. He acceded to our request of providing us with 3 bottles of mineral water in place of the bottle of wine as we are teetotalers. Thanks Ian. WIFI was provided for but only 9gb for 3 nights. It was insufficient as we were travellers and depend heavily on WIFI for our searches.
- Rebecca (8/5): Great location for a quick family get away. Clean and tidy. - Location was great and easy to fine. Lovely cafe around the corner (Hello Stranger) that served great brekky. Good host. Clean and tidy. Main bed and pillows probably need updating. The additional cost for the car park, was probably a bit rich, given the price of the accomodation.
- Cherrie (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and great location Nothing
- Neil (8/5): Good 3 bedroom townhouse in a great location in the centre of Adelaide - Great location in the heart of Adelaide and close to the Central Markets. Street was fairly quiet late at night. Close to the tram stop and free city bus stop. Was a bit tired looking, however nothing to bother us. Wifi was via a dongle. Once Ian sorted that out it was good.
- Bella (10/5): nice place, really nice people - meticulously clean , well-equipped including a washer and dryer, location amazing- it's dated but perfect for when you need all the comforts of home away from home. biggest tho g is the manager is the best, so helpful, goes out of his way to help- i became unwell and had a key mix up and the manager was an absolute star. nice people make all the digfference, and nice people manage this property . loved it, will go back
- Kasey (9/5): Gorgeous apartment close to everything - So close to everything from shopping to restaurants and pubs
- Gerald (8/5): Very good -
- Emilly (9/5): Nice location, would recommend if wanting somewhere a bit out of the city. - Nice having the balcony to sit out, perfect walking distance to tram stop. Tv took some time to work, remote wouldn’t work properly.
- Carole (5/5): Great location, minimal kitchen facilities, poor wi-fi. - Good location, comfortable beds. Very little provided for cooking (pots and pans), bare minimum in kitchen. Cold tap in bathroom did not work. Problems with wi-fi not working. Host not very responsive when I raised these issues.
- Bill (10/5): Great communication and clean - Very clean, neat and tidy.
Very Good communication with the owner and a lady called Grace. The bedroom with the single bed. Very small room
- Lin (9/5): Superb - The location is in the central of Adelaide, close to everything. The free buses and trams are just few minutes walk from the unit. The unit was very clean. And the property manager was very welcoming.
- Nitin (5/5): Will never choose this property again - Only the toilets are bedsheets are clean No internet in the house. They said internet needs to be recharged
He didn’t told me about the 50$ early check in charges.
Utensils provided are dirty not even cleaned.
I have the pictures which i can provide if you want.
Overall it is filthy
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tirtosasmito (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (10/5): Weekend stay - The location was awesome and close to everything we needed. The heating was really good as we stayed during a cold winter.
- Alb (9/5): Apartment was ideal two couples and made our five day stay very comfortable - Location was fantastic close to all CBD amenities and great to pop out to Glenelg. Very secure garage attached. Ian was a very obliging host. A little bit of maintenance on taps etc. but Ian responded to our request quickly.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable with everything you need. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- David (7/5): Expensive, but with good access to most things we wanted to see. - Good location, close to everything in the city. Relatively quiet, short walk to China Town and the Adelaide Central Market. It is expensive. And I thought it was ridiculous that we had to pay extra to use the single garage which was built into the unit and couldn't be used by anyone else if we didn't use it.
The unit and furnishings were "tired" and the internet was basic.
Access to the garage was very tight, via a narrow back lane often clogged with neighbours rubbish bins.
- Darren (10/5): Loved it - Everything. Non advertised $300 bond.
- Grace (9/5): Excellent would thoroughly recommend - Perfect facilities and location
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Abbie (1/5): Pick anywhere else BUT here!!! - In all honestly, nothing! Even the location wasn’t good. Paid $30 per day for parking that was built in the apartment (garage) still had to pay. I had to leave 1 hour after check in, 3 day booking, was rushed into hospital, explained everything to Ian who was EXTREMELY rude to me.
- Teresa (10/5): Really nice central location, great space - Very spacious, clean Nothing we didn’t like
- Young (10/5): My new favorite accommodation - It has been a while since I was surprised. On December 13th arrived in ADL for work and was stranded at the airport and decided to use the complementary accommodation courtesy of our shareholders. After carefully searching for my treat accommodation. I have decided to choose the RNR Serviced Apartments Adelaide - Sturt St.
Truly blew me away with the amazing 3 bedrooms and all the apartment features truly breathing, a lot better than staying in a regular hotel.
The way I assess and compare the pricing of other accommodations compared to RNR Serviced Apartments Adelaide - Sturt St- it is truly more practical to choose, mostly for family travellers for the same price of a studio hotel room - surprised by how much you will miss by not examine the other better options. Close to public transport and eas
Another major surprise is the natural skills of Mr Ian when it comes to hospitality. Mr. Ian has an amazing and unique way of showing hospitality that I saw in others, perhaps a combination of skills and talent.
Thank you 🙇 Mr. Ian for showing your unique skills and your amazing concern for making sure the RNR guesses that everything was guided and oriented.
As a senior trip advisor member, to all travellers give it a chance to see and review the RNR Serviced Apartments Adelaide - Sturt St, great options and have a lot more to offer at a competitive price and you get a lot more for what you paid.
I will RNR Serviced Apartments Adelaide - Sturt St and looking forward to my next visit. Not applicable
- Abbie (1/5): Wouldn’t recommend - Absolutely nothing Everything. The host Ian is extremely rude and arrogant, I became unwell and had to leave 1 hour are checking in & all he could say was go see a doctor to get some pills. $20 PER DAY parking in the garage that’s literally apart of the property anyway
- Erma (9/5): good property -
- Lien (10/5): Vere happy for a short stay, will come back again 😀 - Nice and clean, 2 bed rooms are big. nice place. Could not find the iron! 😀
- Melissa (10/5): It has been quite literally my home away from home! I even keep extending my stay because I love it so much!! - I love staying here much more than a hotel quite simply because this feels like a home away from home… it’s not a room with a bed and 4 walls… there’s yard, there’s functionality, but more importantly there’s privacy and independence!
Also, Ian and Grace (from RnR) have been so friendly, helpful and accomodating! Any time I’ve asked them for something, within the hour I have it, even if it means one of them having to come here to bring it to me themselves! The other residents need to find a better place than the driveway to leave their bins
- Melissa (10/5): Would recommend 😊 - I love that this place is so close to everything! A supermarket 200m away, restaurants less than that, shops everywhere and the tram stop like 20m away! The construction next door is loud and intrusive, but can’t be helped
- Roni (9/5): Great location, close to transport, property manager shouldn’t assume what the client does. - We were met by Ian, property manager, he let us in at 11 am, which was great as we just needed to drop of our bags and hit the town. Great location, close to everything on foot also free tram just on the corner. Advertised free wifi, didn’t get it until the last night and only for twenty minutes. I have pre paid and didn’t want to use my data . Ian advise as that he placed 7gb and it should last, not meant for movies or Skype, I found this coment rude, we were using for emails and catching up on Instagram and Facebook. He supplied the pocket wifi without a charger, so it ran out of charge. Also Issue with batteries in the tv remote in the lounge, they were getting flat and we couldn’t change channels, it would freeze, so I went and replace them with batteries from the remote in the bedroom. I sent a message to Ian to let him know about the batteries. His reply was, the tv is fine…don’t like people complaining in whenever they feel like. It was a serviced apartment, so I’ve learned my lesson, no more serviced apartments for us.
- Ally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Was awesome and would stay again! - Tidy and good location Nothing
- Andrew (7/5): Be sure to check you are getting what you paid for and be careful in the bathroom. - Central location Booked and paid for 2 double beds. On arrival was told not to use king bed or would be charged extra. When I checked there was a double and a single. Single room had bed only, no hanging facilities or shelving. Bathroom had shower over bath which was dangerously slippery. I slipped on exiting and cut foot on tap.
- Dodd (8/5): Very good -
- Bernadette (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Highly recommended. - Walking distance to CBD, very comfortable and roomy accommodation, all needs catered for. Nothing comes to mind
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Great location, nice and clean, easy access
- Catalina (10/5): Exceptional - The house had everything you need self contained clean close to tram great place spacious and central
- Nurul (9/5): Superb -
- Sandii74 (9/5): Superb - Conveinient to where we needed to go Mould in the bathroom
- Josephine (5/5): Not ideal - In the city Extra charge for parking.
Parks are small
No reception, meet in alleyway out the front of apartment. Takes $300 hold for bond.
Takes photos of licence and credit card
No toiletries.
- Darci (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Great stay - Much better than staying in a hotel room at the same price. Fully self contained plenty of space There could be a bigger TV in the lounge room
- Schultz (9/5): amazing - how close to was to all the bars in the city, and how clean it was nothing
- Jayden (10/5): will stay again - good location, quite, cheap
- Pamela (8/5): Lovely place to stay for a family. We are happy to book this place again in future - Very good communication
extension of check out time free of charge
Easy access to transport (nearby tram)
nearby IGA shop cleanliness of bathroom especially grout. I will rate cleaniless at 3/5 on scale.
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Diane (8/5): Very good - Great location and lovely host No downstairs toilet
- Ivan (2/5): Very poor - Could not operate the air conditioning... dirty food container in cupboard an under lounge...
Beds smelt like smoke...
An i had to pay for parking.. which was crap because i got that free in my original unit.. not my upgrade
- Fran (7/5): Very successful. Location good, unit clean. Could do with some attention to maintenance. - Location good. Very clean. Maintenance poor. Presentation…..Curtains hanging off the tracks, broken light fittings made it look shabby.
Bed frame was broken in main bedroom. Took us an hr and two people to reassemble enough to sleep in.
Whole place could do with a couple of hours of handyman services.
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Regionalvic (8/5): Great location, nice part of town. found the unit comfortable and spacious for our stay. - Grace was great on check in, very welcoming.
Great location - a block from China Town and the food market
Tram less than 100 metres away
Full kitchen
Outside balcony
The unit was nice and clean, plenty of towels
Air con kept the temperature nice given the warmer days
I took towels after one of the comments - but were not required; had no issues with the linen either.
We stayed in the three bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms I was concerned when reading the reviews; however, I think some were a little harsh and should be viewed in perspective.
If you want new and modern with the latest features, maybe give it a miss - didn't impact on our stay.
Secure parking - was very small with tight access to the garage - requires some confidence and skill to maneuver - (reverse in, passengers had to get out before backing in - site does state not suitable for larger vehicles; the challenge was the access.
Would have liked if the door to the garage had a lock rather than just the roller door.
There is an extra charge of $20 per day for parking; even though no one else can use it, and you still have to book it?
The building is a little worn; comes with age
TV's all channels were available, a few extras not intune - on the smaller size if you want to be picky.
Thursday night was a bit noisy in the street, especially from the front bedroom.
- Christie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Campbell (10/5): My stay was relaxing and calm, will definitely be staying again in the future - I liked how the property was set up and location of the property Nothing
- Andre (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Juliet (8/5): Nice place. Would stay again. - The property was lovely, a short walk to Gouger street. We were in the Christmas pageant, so it was a short walk to early morning coffee, and then South terrace. The Japanese restaurant across the road was really lovely too. The lady took about half an hour to get there to give me the keys, so I had to wait on the street as I had caught the bus there. Also their eftpos machine wasn’t working, so I Osko’d their money, which meant I had to chase them for the bond return as it wasn’t automatic. Once I got to speak to someone that got sorted quickly, but sms wasn’t the way to do it.
- Jede (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (2/5): Apart from the location, I would not recommend due to it not being cleaned before our arrival. - Apartment is a good size, but difficult to find. Car parking is provided but cost extra. In a secluded area so felt safe. Communication was good initially. Place had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. Floors were filthy, not swept or mopped, or vacuumed. Carpet is old and very damaged. Bathrooms were not clean - powder on the floor in both, hair in vanities in both, footprints in shower alcove in master ensuite. Glass doors on shower were filthy. Rubbish bin in kitchen had not been emptied. Dried food on the benchtops. I could go on! We contacted the manager through Booking.com and they sent someone to clean, but they only did a cursory job. Not satisfactory at all.
- Patrick (5/5): Passable - great location for a quick stay in Adelaide. close to everything it’s not clear in the description that parking and wifi are extra charges. you also get charged a few dollars extra when you pay by card which is not the agreed price. light bulbs didn’t work and bathroom was dirty. beds are soft and lumpy I had a sore back next day.
- Narrelle (7/5): It was great, perfect location. - clean, well layout and had everything you needed. The bed! very firm!
- Liv (8/5): Very good - Very roomy, wicked location, nice beds, tidy Shower wasn't the cleanest, still dirty towels in washer, balcony table n floor dirty. Could have been cleaner for the price but overall nice just a heads up for cleaners... would stay again for location and price.
- Nola (7/5): Excellent location that provided for our needs. - Excellent location, easily accessible to the CBD. Clean and comfortable beds. Close to dining options. Quiet location. Entrance lighting - I missed a step on the stair and fell down the stairs - brighter lighting could have prevented my fall.
- Vida (2/5): Very poor -
- Vida (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michelle (9/5): great stay at the Elizabeth Street property. - we were upgraded to the Elizabeth street property which was fantastic.
host was very easy to deal with. nothing
- Bill (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (2/5): Very poor -
- Janet (6/5): central location but take own linen - great location if staying in Adelaide city very noisy
linen appalling ( stained bed linen, towels thread bare) take your own
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (6/5): The well designed apartment is in a great location, although parking is difficult if you have more than one car. it is w - great location, market and tram are close by. Well designed. badly worn couch, no towel rails, no suitcase stands, no shower screen door in en-suite, water sitting in dishwasher.
- Fiona (8/5): Great location and apartment. Met all of our needs. -
- Marlon (1/5): Bad -
- Patsy (5/5): Passable -
- Lisa (2/5): Heater did not work in bedrooms - It was roomy The heater in the bedrooms didn't work upstairs. We were freezing. I was also charged twice for my stay.
- Ebsa (4/5): Disappointing - We have stayed here on many occasions but the build has gone down hill, also tried to make us pay for the car parking because the garage below the apartment was being used.
General maintainece is required
- Nantanat (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (3/5): Poor - Beds were comfortable Very worn tired furniture No milk Stale coffee. No mention of $200 bond until arrival Had to request toilet paper, only 1 roll for 2 bathrooms Huge hole in wall in bedroom.
- Jane (1/5): We would not recommend to anyone. Unpleasant accomodation. - Location easily accessible to places we were visiting. Having to give exact time of arrival when flying interstate is not always possible. On arrival, met by neighbours who told us they didn’t like having short term renters and how uncomfortable it made them feel. Place is so dirty and uncared for and with the covid situation the leftover food found in fridge and lack of any type of cleaning/hygiene is a concern.
- Jenny (5/5): old and run down - size old
run down
missing shower screen
worn out couches
generally run down and needs painting
globes in lamp don’t work
know light coverings
curtains not hanging properly
mattresses old and uncomfortable
paid for parking but couldn’t fit car in as being used for storage also- had to pay for parking in street
$300 bond that they wanted a cleaner inspection on first before re fund then they didn’t show up- nothing to wreck that wasn’t already in poor condition 🤦♀️
- Margot (6/5): Stay in Adelaide (fine) - Close to shops ,markets, tram and pub No door on shower hard not to get water on floor. 2nd bedroom bed extremely uncomfortable. Some Lights not working downstairs. No plug in sink.No dishwasher liquid.
Apartment was hard to find.
