Guest Reviews
- Jeff (4/5): Cheap but would not stay there again - Value for money Shower / bath had issues limited power points
- DAVID (8/5): simple but clean. - Good location, spacious room. Perfect for a stop over. Smokers at the entrance.
- Janet (1/5): -
- Nicola (3/5): The most basic room, not particularly clean floor - Wendover annexe confirmed booking was not honoured by the owners. Instead I was told they have had a room in a completely different part of town. I had no choice but to take that option. The Cavendish Hotel I had to go to was absolutely in the wrong part of town for what I needed, had a mattress that was firmer than a rock, no hook anywhere to hang anything (no wardrobe obvs), and the floors hadn’t seen a hoover for a while. But I guess you pays your money and you takes your chances.
- Cox (5/5): It was okay not the best at the beginning got given a downgraded room till I had to say something - I liked the layout of the room how it looked and felt inside We got given a room that was small and looked run down at first for the first few nights
- Paul (10/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): - Friendly helpful staff
- Luke (8/5): -
- Tanya (6/5): Not what was pictured - It was v inexpensive. Clean.
Helpful staff when we complained.
We were in the back of the building, which was not too noisy. We were given a room that was totally different to what we had booked - it's part of Buckingham Hotel and they said they just allocate on arrival - all rooms are the same price no matter what the facilities. The photos showed a large room with kitchenette facilities (sink, fridge, table, microwave). The room we were given had just 2 beds (v saggy and uncomfortable with super-thin pillows). I queried this and they moved us to another room which is an annexe over the road which they said they usually give to contractors, but this isn't mentioned in Booking.com - you should be given what you have booked. The second room was better, beds were more comfortable, there was a sink and microwave, with access to a shared kitchen in the building. But forget the room pictured in the advert.
- Michelle (10/5): - Friendly, welcoming atmosphere and staff, not far from places I needed to go
- Barry (10/5): -
- Peter (9/5): -
- Iain (8/5): Cheap and a little cheerful - Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Shower was good. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s very basic, no frills (although you can ask to borrow a hairdryer and iron - no board though). The property could benefit from soft-close doors. All through the night I could hear doors slamming. There weren’t many plug sockets, and they weren’t very well placed - but overall I’d say it was good value for money - for a one night stay.
- Akshita (8/5): It was a good ,soothing stay - The room has everything you need .I booked a single room it has bathroom, fridge, microwave everything. Maybe there can be a single stove for people to cook but I know fire alarm would be alerted so in future it can be a consideration.
- Mark (6/5): Cleaner knocked on my door at 9.30 and came straight in whilst Iwas asleep - Price and room Wasn’t the address on the booking
- Cezar (5/5): - Da limpeza Tudo estava bom
- Elian (8/5): - Clean It's too small, and the clothes hangers are above the table.
- David (7/5): Basic but good value, with large rooms and comfortable beds. - Enormous room, comfortable bed and very good value. It’s quite basic, so don’t expect frills. But it’s clean and good value.
One warning, I stayed at the Wendover Arms Hotel, not the Annex. I assume they’re part of the same hotel, but they’re in different parts of Wycombe, so be sure you know where you’re going if you don’t want to waste time heading to the wrong place, as I did!

- Gary (9/5): - Very clean and really good for the money Just that it was a bit warm all the time and needed some forks and knifes
- Tony (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): -
- Tracy (4/5): No kitchen - The room was spotless I took food to cook as there was suppose to be a kitchenette. There was a sink , microwave and kettle. We had to eat out and I had to throw the food away I'd bought. When I queried it I was told the kitchen is communal downstairs but there's no pots, pans.or cutlery in there.
- michael (8/5): Great stop over to break up one's long distance journey. - I booked, what I thought was an annex room/apartment with kitchen/bathroom, but found we had been put in the main hotel, as I had asked for a ground floor room suitable for a disabled traveller. No problem as we had a bedroom en-suite, fridge, microwave, kettle & tea making facilities. Very comfortable bed providing a good night's sleep. The whole establishment smelt lovely throughout & was well lit. Car parking out front & to the safe rear area through a barrier. Difficult to find. I booked Wendover annex only, eventually, to find it was the Buckingham hotel! No signs to state Wendover. This was also confusing on the Bookings.Com web site. The hotel is on the main A40 & although well out of town, it is a noisy, very busy road, although not a problem at night.

- Adison (9/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): - Spacious, plenty of parking, very quiet, dog friendly.
- Steve (4/5): Annoyed at change of venue - Clean and has parking As before I book the annexe at address shown and then later, next day, told to pick up key at wendover arms. Then when get there told I am staying there and not at booked property.
- phillip (8/5): Nice stay , i'd book it again - Nice setup with pub downstairs . Easy parking , clean comfortable room

- Arkwrights (9/5): - For cheap accommodation this place is perfect. Room was spotless and had everything you need, coffee/tea facilties, fridge, microwave, excellent shower, smart TV. and also free parking. The name is confusing as its all inside the Buckingham Hotel, so your looking for ages trying to find it.
The communion room was not inviting, so no mixing with other residents.
- Ife (9/5): -
- Gabriel (9/5): Would definitely come back - I worked in a Hotel for 7 years and this hotels cleanliness was superb (as effectively it has new rooms) Pub like hall/reception area / atmosphere (that is subjective)

- Anna (8/5): - Very clean, comfortable and warm room. Friendly and helpful staff. Incredible value for money.

- Benson (4/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): - I love it here. I stay every week and the price is excellent, conditions are great and the facilities are clean and tidy.
- Penny (6/5): Difficult to find. - Comfy bed, ground floor room. Secure covered parking. Difficult to find as signage was Buckingham Hotel
Bathroom fan did not switch off. No hangers in wardrobe. Could do with privacy film on the windows.
- Dulijano (1/5): - Came in to check in around 10pm and i have asked him can i see the room please and the guy who was working there (don't know his name but was a bit older guy)was like IM GONE CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION FOR THAT MONEY YOU WON'T FINE A BETTER ROOM and so on he was really angry as he was drunk as i could smell it from a distance so anyway as he is drunk you can't explain to a drunk people so i said it doesn't matter i don't need to see the room can i have my card please from the room so i can go to rest please and at the end he gave it to me and.....so the room and the hotel is ok'ish but only the guy who done a bit of shouting....

- James (8/5): - Excellent staff, clean, friendly and easy parking.. Close location to local Town centre and facilities..
Fresh bedding, towels and soap provided excellent quality for price. Only downfall is the pillows was bit discomforting, so next time I'll bring my own as it was all quality.
Well Done Guys 😎 Pillows to soft

- David (7/5): Room Heating Issues - Good value for the room rate, the provision of parking and helpful staff and cheerful cleaners. Room 15 / Radiator & Heating Issues: A) your engineer visited and advised me that the heating is actually, only on for an hour or so a day, which was good to know (but apparently not in room 15!) B) I would really appreciate it, if you could get this sorted, so at least it was regular and dependable, not just once or twice a week as currently exists C) the room radiator has a thermostat, so I can regulate the heat as and when I need to D) I fully understand that heating is a major operating cost for any hotel and there may exist strong management directives to reduce this as much as possible. Thank You
