A special thank you to Asanka, who is an incredibly friendly and attentive host. He really makes the experience personal and is always there to help with anything you need. The food was absolutely delicious, and the breakfast was a great start to each day. We also really enjoyed the pool—perfect to relax. The location is great as well, with Kandy only about 20 minutes away. Overall, everything was very well organized and we truly felt taken care of. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Adrien ist ein toller Manager und Roomy eine zuckersüsse Hauskatze 😊 - die Zimmer - wir hatten die Nummer 1 sind cool eingerichtet und sehr konfortabel. Der Pool ist auch ein Hingucker und das Personal schaut für alles! Wir haben 1 x gegessen und es war sehr lecker - auch das Frühstück. Wir haben von einem Angebot profitiert, zum Originalpreis hätten wir das wohl nicht gebucht. Ist uns ein paar mal passiert, aber es gab keinen Zimmer-/Putz Service, das würde ichvfür den original Preis schon erwarten - so wars okay 😉

• Robert (10/5): A lovely oasis in a busy city! - This is a colonial style hotel but with modern and quirky decor, set a little away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy within walking distance of the Royal Botanical Gardens where we saw the amazing flying foxes. It is very quiet. They have a craft room with lots of different materials to use, which sadly we didn’t have time to make use of. It has a beautiful pool and viewing area across the city and the surrounding countryside where they serve breakfast and an evening meal if wanted. Delicious local cuisine, beautifully presented. An enormous and lavish ensuite with a powerful shower was welcome after visiting the Temple of the Tooth and a walk round the lake. Nothing springs to mind.

• JACQUELINE (9/5): Comfortable villa stay - Quiet location, small lush garden. Comfortable accommodation. Stayed in good sized room alongside hosts bungalow. Good supportive staff throughout our stay. Nice pool, currently unheated, refreshing on hot days. We used Uber taxis to travel into Kandy, Peradeniya and other tourist sites in the area. E.g. Three temples tour, Tea Museum, beginning of Pekoe Trail. Lovely rain forest walks in the Udaweatta reserve - Kandy.

• Angelie (10/5): - Wij waren er maar voor 1 nacht, maar vonden het een super leuke plek. Voor Sri Lankaanse begrippen zou deze drie sterren accommodatie, eerder vier sterren waardig zijn. Alles is lekker schoon, fris en mooi gestyled. Kamer was ruim opgezet met een klein, gezellig terras. Een fijn bed, warme douche, waterkoker aanwezig en er lagen chocoladekoekjes :-). Een grote plus is dat ze hier een heerlijk zwembad hebben met een terras dat een mooi groen uitzicht biedt op de omgeving van Kandy. Ook het vriendelijke personeel heeft bijgedragen aan een fijn verblijf. Alle vragen, opmerkingen, etc., kon gewoon via de app en dan regelde ze het vrijwel direct. Kortom, alles tip top. Parasols bij het zwembad. Ligt wat afgelegen, maar er rijden genoeg tuktuks.

• Janine (9/5): A beautifully maintained old tea planter’s residence, a short distance outside of Kandy. - It’s a beautiful example of colonial architecture in the Kandy hills. Our room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the open air garden room for breakfast. There was nothing we didn’t like.

• Judith (8/5): Abseits von Kandy im Grünen entspannen - Die Unterkunft liegt mitten im Grünen, etwas außerhalb vom hektischen Kandy. Der botanische Garten ist allerdings fussläufig zu erreichen. Man hat hier echt seine Ruhe und kann den Pool genießen. Das Zimmer ist unfassbar schön und modern eingerichtet. Das Bett ist richtig bequem und das Badezimmer ist sehr groß und komfortabel. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Ich würde empfehlen außerhalb zu Abend zu essen, da Preis-Leistung in der Unterkunft einfach nicht stimmt. Das hatten wir sonst nie in Sri Lanka. Unser Zimmer war sehr hellhörig. Man hat Tiere auf dem Dach gehört und auch wenn sich jemand in der Mitarbeiterunterkunft die Zähne putzt. Das liegt aber wahrscheinlich daran weil wir direkt nebenan einquartiert waren. Man hat eine kleine Terrasse vorm Zimmer, diese war jedoch für mich nicht sehr ansprechend, da Personal und andere Gäste vorbeilaufen und man sich so nicht sehr ungestört fühlt. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht den Gästen alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Mich persönlich stört es etwas dass man nicht ungestört gehen und kommen konnte sondern immer das Personal kontaktieren musste um die Tür zum Gelände öffnen zu lassen. So hat man sich immer etwas überwacht gefühlt und wurde auch gefragt wo man hinmöchte.

• Lorant (9/5): Hidden Gem in Kandy - We had a very pleasant stay at Hebron Gardens House. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was also large and well designed, giving the whole space a very relaxed feel. One of the highlights of the property is the amazing terrace and pool area, which is perfect for unwinding and enjoying the surroundings. Breakfast was a real treat. We had it outside on the terrace, which made the experience even more enjoyable, and we highly recommend trying the Sri Lankan breakfast—it was excellent and full of flavor. Parking is possible and available on site. One small downside for me personally was the bathroom setup with a bathtub, which is not my preferred option. However, this did not significantly affect the overall experience.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly when the power went out. If you are keen to stay out of the city, this is a hidden gem close to the Botanical Gardens and a short Uber away from other sights.

A pleasure to be in. Lovely staff and owners. Very convenient for Kandy Botanical Gardens. Nice pool and pool area. Great paneer curry and lovely breakfasts, very happy to ensure you got your preferences.

• David (10/5): Hebron Gardens is such a beautiful place that's kept immaculate inside and out. - Hebron Gardens is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The property is kept immaculate both inside and out, and their attention to detail really stands out. Our room was beautifully designed, elegant, classy, and perfectly uncluttered. The gardens and surrounding grounds are also maintained to an incredibly high standard, making the whole place feel peaceful and special. What truly made our stay memorable was the staff. They could not have been more helpful or friendly. Even before we arrived, they called to let us know our room was ready. When we got there, we were warmly welcomed and personally shown around the property. The dining experience felt like something out of a movie set, and we were treated just as wonderfully. Every detail was thoughtful and beautifully presented. Although we had to leave very early at 4:00am to continue our travels, a staff member was waiting at the door to help with our luggage and had even prepared breakfast for us to take on the journey. It was such a memorable stay, and we would highly recommend Hebron Gardens to anyone looking for a truly exceptional place to relax. Nothing.

Emplacement très éloigné du centre ville de Kandy, en soirée très difficile de trouver un tuk tuk qui accepte de vous ramener. Nous avons pris un repas sur place, les portions étaient congrues, c'est dommage . le rapport qualité prix n'est pas adapté , c'est vraiment cher pour le sri lanka et ce qui est proposé.

Ich bin als zierliche Frau, die nicht besonders viel isst, trotz Nachschlag nicht wirklich satt geworden. Die Klimaanlage in unserem Zimmer hat nicht funktioniert.
• Charles (10/5): Green Haven of Peace close to Kandy - My whole family loved staying here! The location is beautiful and serene, and far enough removed from the bustle and noise of Kandy city while still being convenient. Our two-level apartment was very clean and well-decorated. The cooked breakfasts were very tasty, and the views from the dining terrace were unforgettable. Thank you Kisho. There could have been a little more in the way of furnishings and amenities in the rooms and bathrooms; e.g. a place to hang clothing, and somewhere to put toiletries and soaps in the showers. Not a deal breaker, and I would absolutely return here.

• Sophia (10/5): Séjour avec enfants - Nous avons séjourné deux nuits avec nos enfants et tout était parfait ! Le personnel est adorable et toujours désireux de faire plaisir . Le petit déjeuner était copieux, le cadre calme et à l’écart de l’agitation de la ville et les chambres propres et spacieuses. Les enfants ont particulièrement aimé l’atelier artistique où ils ont pu y passer pas mal de temps entre deux visites ! Nous recommandons sans hésiter . Rien à signaler

The pool was perfect to cool off, and the team was amazing—huge thanks to Kisho for always going above and beyond to help us. The Sri Lankan and continental breakfasts were delicious, and dinner was fantastic. We loved every moment and can’t recommend it enough!

We are starting the trip but I am almost certain it will be the best stay of our trip. Everything was spot on and the host was very helpful, speaking English, were able to pay card which is always helpful.
• Karen (10/5): A little piece of Sri Lanka elegance! - Outstanding! A little piece of quiet paradise amidst the chaos + noise of Kandy. As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. Every single member of staff went above + beyond to help us throughout our stay. Beautiful big bed room, immaculately clean, bed very comfortable, fridge, air con + fan. Big bathroom with bath + shower + toiletries provided. A lovely personal garden space with table + chairs. The whole property is very tastefully designed whilst retaining Sri Lankan charm. The view - breathtaking with the relaxing sound of birds + distant chanting. The pool very clean + perfect cool down in the heat + wonderful area to relax. Kisho the manager was so friendly + kind, and Lily + Whiz the owners gave great suggestions, offered us a tuk tuk ride as we walked up the lane + borrowed us yoga mats for sunrise with a view! Breakfast continental - eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, yogurt + honey, Sri Lankan breakfast - huge + delicious: all cold - curry, sambol, egg in light spiced sauce, dahl + a large portion of rice hoppers, plus fruit, yoghurt + honey! Served with coffee/tea + lime juice - neither option will leave you hungry that’s for sure! A simple 15 mins tuk tuk drive from central Kandy, 500-700LKR + a welcomed retreat! Thank you soooooo much! Highly recommend! Nothing!
• Beatrix (6/5): Backyard of a private residence - We rented the 3-bedroom villa, which is located in their backyard. Be aware this is a (beautiful) private residence, and there seem to be two rental apartments in their backyard: one bedroom for a couple, and then their “villa” with three separate bedrooms (and ensuite bathrooms) at ground floor and the living room downstairs. The photos of the beautiful wrap-around porch belongs to their private residence, and the pool in the backyard is shared. Everything was very clean, and the bathrooms were modern. We also booked breakfast and dinner as part of the package, and found the food very enjoyable. Staff was very professional and attentive. We felt a bit like an afterthought (perhaps because there was a private party going on one of the two nights we stayed there). Barely any communication at check in, we had to ask for basic stuff such as wifi password etc. The party guests celebrated on the roof top of our 4-bedroom bungalow, and the pool area was also crowded by the guests. There was no heads up about the party, which also meant our driver couldn’t park the car in the overfull parking area. To be fair, we eventually were offered a coffee or a glass of wine. So let’s assume this was a one-off with poor communication. However, the basement level (our living room with kitchenette) had quite a smell of drainage. We would have also appreciated more towels to have a set of towels for the pool. The garden itself was beautiful and an oasis (without party guests), but there are only 3 sun chairs around the pool (for six guests during the first night of our stay).

Er is een zwembad en een soort balkon met een zeer mooi uitzicht waar je in de avond kunt eten en in ochtend ontbijten met een sfeervol muziekje op de achtergrond. De eigenaars hebben een goede smaak. Alles is mooi ingericht, prachtige meubels. Lekker ontbijt met een mooi servies en avondeten was ook prima. Zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding! Behulpzame mannen die alles regelden.Jammer dat we de grote leren stoel niet mee naar huis konden nemen:-)Botanische tuin is dichtbij (aanrader om met de tuk tuk te gaan want het verkeer in Kandy is erg chaotisch).jammer dat we niet langer konden blijven. Niets. Misschien iets meer bedden bij het zwembad.
• Nicola (10/5): A beautiful oasis - We loved our stay - the villa is gorgeous and the interior design is amazing. Very comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and a very nice lounge area. • Jet (10/5): The perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day in town. - We absolutely loved this place! Beautifully designed with attention to detail, it was a treat for us design lovers! Lush green and a peaceful vibe, the perfect retreat after a day in bustling Kandy. The accommodation is about 10-15 min by tuktuk to the city center. Friendly hosts, good breakfast. I just wish I could have stayed longer!

Zully, Kisho and the rest of the team were so accommodating- going above and beyond to provide recommendations and any assistance required. The food was delicious - we particularly loved the Sri Lankan breakfast! Loved our stay and would absolutely come back the next time we are in kandy.

Kisho the property manager was fantastic and even check in with us when we went on an overnight hike. You’ve got to stay here if you come to Kandy

Le patron aussi a été très sympa avec nous et ce fût très intéressant de discuter avec lui. L’hôtel est décoré avec goût et son emplacement, sur les hauteurs de kandy, lui offre une vue splendide. • Barho (10/5): Wir würden diese Unterlunft sofort nochmal buchen! - Die Unterkunft ist wie eine kleine Oase etwas außerhalb von Kandy. Eine wunderschöne Anlage, toll bepflanzt, total ästhetisch eingerichtet und mit schönem Ausblick. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und das Personal war wirklich nett und zuvorkommend. Kisho der Manager hat uns Empfehlungen für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben und war auch so nett zu checken ob unsere Tarife mit den Tuktuk-Fahrern fair sind. Das Frühstück sowie das Abendessen wären echt fabelhaft und für uns ein Highlight unserer Reise.
• Alexa (10/5): Lovely, cozy stay with the best staff! - An absolute Gem! The Hebron Gardens House has been one of my favourite stays ever. The facilities are lovely and clean and the interior design is modern, beautiful and cozy. The staff will go above and beyond for you here, the food prepared by them was fantastic. The small team and the owner know as Grandpa give the place a warm and familiae feeling. 10/10, would visit again anytime.

L’accueil a été chaleureux, le personnel d’une gentillesse remarquable et toujours aux petits soins. L’hôtel est impeccablement propre, magnifiquement décoré et l’ambiance y est à la fois élégante et apaisante. La restauration était excellente, et nous nous sommes sentis pris en charge avec une attention rare tout au long du séjour. L’hôtel propose également de nombreuses activités au sein même de l’établissement : cours de cuisine, ateliers de peinture, séances de yoga, entre autres, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus unique. Franchement, rien à redire : tout était parfait. Un établissement exceptionnel que nous recommandons les yeux fermés.

• Torsten (10/5): - We spent three nights in this wonderful hotel. After visiting bustling Kandy, this place is like an oasis with a wonderful pool. If you have a request, just ask and everything will be made possible. We were particularly impressed by the stylish furnishings. After the flood disaster, Kandy is open to visitors again and the people are waiting for guests.

I was feeling like home, perfect place if you have kids, they can do painting, also very secure place Some small stuff that I guess will change, like they don't have tea and coffee in the rooms, and for dinner or lunch I would like to see the menu with prices
• Robert (10/5): - In November, we spent two nights at Hebron house and it was the best stay we had on our journey. The room was pleasant and well equipped and the setting wonderful but the thing that really elevated our stay was the excellent staff. Ruwan kept the grounds so tidy, Rajani and Saroja prepared delicious food but it was Kisho the property manager who really made our stay, ironing out travel problems and helping with other arrangements. 5 star experience !! Nothing

• Samanta (10/5): - This place is magical: a beautiful house immersed in a lush garden, so harmonic and peaceful despite being close to the bustling streets of Kandy. The family owning the property are a lovely bunch who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, as well as the staff. The design is beautiful, and so is the food, tasty and delicious. I would have stayed longer if I had the opportunity! Cannot recommend this place enough.
• Ian (10/5): Perfect - Stunning place to stay, home from home, felt part of the family, special thanks to Kisho who went way beyond to help us and make our stay perfect, we met grandpa who has done an amazing job of building the whole complex, hopefully it’s time for him to relax and enjoy his hard work. the breakfast was amazing. everyone could not of made us feel more welcome. it was a short walk to the botanical gardens and a 15 min tuk tuk to the main town.. very easy to get around. room fun and very design focused and the pool was a nice bonus. for some reason google maps sends you and taxi / tuk tuk drivers the long way around, you have to use common sense and ignore google when trying to find the apartments. just go the direct route.
• Silvia (10/5): Oasis al lado del centro de Kandy - Un oasis a 10 minutos de Kandy. Tras una semana de no parar llegamos a Hebron Gardens House. Kisho y su compañero (no recuerdo el nombre) estaban esperándonos para llevarnos a nuestra preciosa habitación y enseñarnos todas las instalaciones. Despues de 10 dias en el país fue la primera noche que dormimos de maravilla. Limpieza exquisita, habitaciones con muy buen gusto, piscina y desayunos de 10! Es cierto que queda un poco alejado del centro pero en tuk tuk es un trayecto insignificante. Muchas gracias por todo Kisho & company!
• Jalal (9/5): - It's a very cosy property that is well maintained, you tell the effort put into the renovations and decor. They even have a koi pond. The property has a very nice pool and veranda area with a view into the hill areas. The host and staff were super friendly and hospitable. The rooms are large and clean and has enough space for mine and my wife baggage. Nothing to dislike.
