Guest Reviews
- Dmitriy (4/5): If it wasn't for the location would be a hard pass. - Resort chair makes it easy to get on the mountain and don't need to drive. Several food options on premises. Good burgers. Pool was great for the kids. Many places to work. Great views from the lobby. Good coffee and pastry options for take away at the mini mart. Food was average. Continental breakfast coffee and juice were hidden behind the counter, eggs were dry. Pork Ramen was not good. Pork buns were dry. Rental unit was not managed by the resort. Did not include house keeping and lacked toiletries. Furniture was far beyond it's useful life. Pealed vernier on furniture and depressing stained carpets in the room, bathroom door did not stay closed. Everything very very old. Got charged twice for resort fees.
- Vito (4/5): Avoid booking via Vacasa! - The property is really nice and well located. The view is magic and having the resort chairlift next to it it’s great I have stayed here many times. However recently rooms on booking.com seem rented via Vacasa. You only find it out after having made the booking.
Now, when you go to the resort via Vacasa (at least in my case), you get a much lower quality experience. The staff basically tell you at check in that they don’t take any responsibility for your stay and to contact Vacasa for anything. So even for +$500/day I was denied many basic services that my friends (who booked directly via IHG) got:
- no daily cleaning
- no early check in before 4pm
- no flexibility in late check in
- guest services wouldn’t even give you an extra towel
- on top of that our room (#806) didn’t even have the bare minimum things that every other host leaves in…for example they left a coffee machine but didn’t even leave a capsule to use it
- I asked to borrow a microwave from the lobby. They said “sure!” Then when they saw my room was booked with Vacasa they said sorry we can’t give it to you
Overall. Make sure you don’t book via Vacasa (also thru booking.com). It seems to me that you pay the same fee but for a less than Holiday-inn service. Book directly with resort or anyway avoid Vacasa-managed rooms
- Galit (5/5): Passable -
- Zhi (8/5): good - good good
- Yongjun (5/5): Fair - Wish there was more updated information on the Resort Fee.
Just saying that they can't do anything about the information on Booking.com seems irresponsible.
Even the $40 a night they stated on their own Vacasa website is wrong and they charged $50 a night.
- Kelley (8/5): The resort is nice - I will not ever use vacasa to book any stays. I was told that the room was 223/night. After all their hidden fees it went up over double that to $480/night. Then they didn't mention on top of all their fees there would be resort fee of $50. If you continue using vacasa ask them to be upfront with all their pricing, because as a guest I felt deceived then it dampened my enjoyment of the resort.
- Yevgeniy (9/5): Superb -

We had to leave a day early due to not being able to get much use out of the facilities. Trash wasnt removed despite repeated requests so it made the room smell gross after a couple nights. Couldn’t get bell service or valet service and requests to Vacasa were not answered quickly so we could never get answers. Will never stay at a vacasa related property again.
- Jimenez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elise (1/5): We were booked incorrectly. trying several times to change or cancel the reservation. They refused -
- Gentry (7/5): Had issues with Booking.com because property was managed by Vacasa and also the hotel. - Location, surroundings, and views. Main pool was not heated. It felt like melted snow. If they tell you otherwise, they haven't been in it. They kid pool was heated.
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Patty (8/5): Good - Beautiful view poor restaurants
Breakfast should be included
Some units allowed dogs and mine did not
Poor coffee
Loud sounds through the walls in PM
- Valerie (8/5): Very good -
- Terri (4/5): Would not book this way again - Public space is still in pretty good shape but hot tub jets do not work Rooms need a facelift. Bathrooms are 30 years old as is the bureau, which was falling apart. The relationship between the hotel, booking.com and Vacasa is very confusing. We were sold an upgrade through Booking that neither the hotel or Vacasa could tell us the difference in the rooms. It was a ripoff. Also, I have never stayed in a hotel (which is exactly what it was) for four nights to never have the bed made once or receive any housekeeping.
- Ramon (3/5): Lake Tahoe is beautiful but with nobody showing up to clean the place at all made my impression of booking.com , a horri - location I was surprised that nobody came to clean the place at all in our 6 days stay at that hotel facility . I will not book thru Booking.com in the future !
- Abhiraj (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great. Facilities were excellent, especially the gym and hot tub. Checking in and out was easy. Everything was as expected or better.
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (8/5): Spacious facilities in a wonderful location - Spacious units and the property is in a wonderful location Everything is very spread out, so it is quite a schlep from the parking to the lobby to the rooms…
- Monika (10/5): Very luxurious, comfortable, beautifully situated resort. - Beautiful views from our room. The convenient cafe downstairs. Very convenient shuttle service to the Villages. The room was very comfortable. no complaints
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - very nice for both adult and kids
- Chinmaya (2/5): Booking.com price is not final - they will charge on top of that - Amenities were great and the ski/snowboard experience was amazing! The resort charged $170 in resort fee which was not intimated to us while booking. So we ended up paying much more than we thought we would have to.
- Paula (5/5): room was not worth the money - nice amenities room was advertised as a suite and was not. people staying next to us were loud and rude into the night. bathroom needed upgrading as fan did not work. phone also did not work so had to walk to front desk to try and get people to be quiet.
