• cecileg510 (10/5): IDEAL LOCATION! - This motel is VERY CLEAN! The location was ideal for our stay, we were here for the LSU/State baseball series. So close to campus and a Walk-On’s is adjacent to the motel. The front desk, breakfast buffet and cleaning staffs are SO NICE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL! We will DEFINITELY stay here when we come back in 2 years!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. Manager, Stella Ellis, inquired about whether our stay was satisfactory and if she could do anything to make it better. Good experience here and we will definitely book again.

• A5233PGtiffanyb (10/5): A great experience - My sister and I stayed here for a few days because we were in town for my dog who had to stay at the vet hospital. The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had to extend our stay a few times, and the room type we had they would be sold out of, but the general manager was able to get us into a different room without an issue. We were thankful for not having to switch hotels, and for the efficiency of the staff in the room switch being so seamless. The breakfast was so good every day, some days being the only meal we ate. We are so thankful for the hospitality we experienced and would recommend this hotel for anyone coming through the area.

The room is great and roomy, the beds are very comfortable (I booked a 2 queen bed room for my daughter and I), the breakfast was enough and the staff very nice! We will definitely consider this hotel next time we are in town! Only issue was the loud bathroom vent. But that was very minor compared to all the pros!

They all went above and beyond to meet all of our (myself, husband and 2nd pet) needs during our almost week long stay while our oldest dog was having a major surgery at the Mississippi State Vet Hospital. They were compassionate to our reason for being there, often asking about our dogs condition. Accommodating when we needed to add days. The breakfast was GREAT every morning! There is a restaurant really close to the property that had delicious food and a Waffle House across the street from the property. We were only minutes from MSU. Property was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! Nice workout facilities and easy parking. There was nothing not to like. We liked EVERYTHING!

The cleanliness and quality of the room and amenities are flawless- no other hotel in Starkville comes close. Sydney who works the front desk is awesome- very friendly, accommodating, professional, and she bakes GREAT cookies. I highly recommend La Quinta in Starkville (and Sydney’s cookies)!

Only 1 elevator in the whole place. (good luck getting to your room without taking 4 flights of stairs). 2. Room cheap and not clean. 3. Without a doubt the worst mattress I've ever slept on. 4. Tvs out of date and not app accessible. 5. Air doesn't work properly. 6. Pillows are like 4 little blocks that are awful as well. Pro's - none

• Nadira (2/5): LaQuinta will not have me as a guest again - The breakfast was okay. There wasn't anything special about it. I didn't like the uncleanness of my room. There was dust all above the headboard and the bathroom wasn't clean. My husband was the housekeeper of our room. We were there 3 days and not once did housekeeping knock on our door or any door for that matter. The front desk staff was mediocre at best. Wasn't very friendly or welcoming.

When I checked in Thursday night, McKenzie and Sydney were so very helpful and sweet(and didn't complain when I asked to borrow their scissors multiple times). Carol, the assistant manager was also very helpful in getting my reservations. Carlyn at the front desk was quite helpful. And Marcus was so sweet about printing out nine different folios for me when we checked out. I also can't say enough wonderful things about Vetsone in the kitchen. She came in early to make sure the 22 teenagers we were traveling with got breakfast before the theater competition at MSU. They also provided parking for our school bus and large U-Haul. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the location was perfect.

Not being from the area they directed me toward some terrific restaurants, wether it be a debate about who has the better burger (bulldog burger or mugshots), or a great steak at restaurant Tyler they were so helpful.
