• TAKAHASHI (4/5): がっかり。 - 駅から近いこと 写真と実際の部屋が違いすぎる。 清掃はされていても物自体が汚かったり、シャワーカーテンが臭すぎてしんどかった。シーツもすぐにズレるし素材が良くないから髪の毛がとても痛んだ。加湿器の水が前の宿泊者が入れたのが残っていて不快だった。

• Laura (9/5): - Hotel vicino al centro di Ikebukuro ricco di negozi, locali ristorazione e supermercati. Metro comodissima! Camera molto piccola ma confoetevole visto che si passa la giornata fuori. Prodotti skin care e bustine tisane/caffè sempre a disposizione. Se scegliete stanza fumatori (come purtroppo ho fatto io perché era l'ultima) sappiate che puzza moltissimo di fumo nonostante il personale si sia impegnato a limitare l'odore. Colazione pessima e cara. Per fortuna non l'avevo prenotata, ho provato 1 mattina e STOP. Poca scelta, prodotti bassa qualità (viene servita nel ristorante adiacente che si spaccia per italiano). Pulizia approssimativa (foto sponda letto e tra il letto e il muro). Mancanza di un luogo comune per intrattenersi visto lo spazio ridotto della camera.

If you are looking for a stylish, quiet, and affordable base in one of Tokyo's most vibrant districts, Hotel Resol Ikebukuro is an outstanding choice. It offers great value for money and a truly 'homey' atmosphere.

• Rachel (8/5): Great location, and great service - Great location, good value and all staff are very friendly and helpful. Wish they could arrange the room cleaning more often, like once in 2 days instead of 3 days.

• Frances (4/5): Pictures on website are deceptive and the smelly rooms need much better ventilation. - The location was great and only a 10 minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. Check in was easy and they were able to put all 3 of our rooms close together. There were charging cords in the room but some were broken. The first thing I noticed was that all 3 of our rooms had a musty, moldy, and mildewy smell that seemed to come from the bathroom and humidifier. Even though rooms were tiny, they lack thoughtfulness for the traveler and are very poorly designed. For example, there wasn't any space for luggage. The bed frame was solid to the floor and therefore the space under the mattress was wasted and couldn't be used to store suitcases or shoes. Also, there was an awkward small bench that was permanently attached to the side of the bed, making it difficult to get in and out of bed. There were 3 hangers for coats that were placed right across the bathroom door, making it difficult to open the bathroom door without hitting your coat/jacket. The TV was placed on the wall to the side of bed instead of at the foot of the bed, so you would have to turn your head to the side to watch TV. In addition, a large plastic panel in one of the bathrooms kept kept falling off. If you needed ice, you had to go the 2nd floor, but if you wanted to get a drink from the vending machine, you had to go the 3rd floor, and the microwave was on another floor. It was an uncomfortable stay overall and I found myself unable to relax in my own room.

• Alice (10/5): Cozy room & great location - As a solo traveller I booked the small double room for single occupancy on the ladies only floor and absolutely loved it - very comfortable room, quiet and super clean. I especially loved that the heating wasn't centrally controlled like in many Japanese hotels, which can feel like being in a sauna, and I was able to sleep comfortably without overheating :) Nothing to complain about, will definitely stay at this hotel again!

• Ελπίδα Ζαμπετάκη (9/5): Πολύ καλό! - Το προσωπικό ήταν πάρα πολύ ευγενικό κι εξυπηρετικό. Έχει "μπουφέ" με προϊόντα περιποίησης στη reception, και μπορείς να βρεις οτιδήποτε χρειάζεσαι, 24/7. Επίσης, έχει πολύ κοντά convenience store, τα οποία είναι κι αυτά 24/7 ανοιχτά. Ήταν γενικά ένα αξιόπιστο ξενοδοχείο, και σε καλή τιμή. Ότι δεν είναι ευρύχωρο το δωμάτιο, αλλά στην Ιαπωνία έτσι είναι τα περισσότερα καταλύματα.

I liked how my bed was positioned by the window and I could see outside while laying down. The plant outside the window was a a very nice, homey touch. There is nothing in particular that I didn't like.
