• Laure (1/5): Décevant et pas recommandable - Rien malheureusement. Face au ferry, ce qui pourrait être pratique mais finalement très bruyant car les arrivées et départs sont juste devant nos fenêtres. Beaucoup de camions qui embarquent avec des ferry à 4h du matin . l’hôtel est situé également juste à côté du chantier naval avec des cargos en réparation et du personnel qui travaille nuit et jour. De plus l’accueil a été déplorable et vraiment pas sympathique, et le petit déjeuner hors de prix pour 2 tartines de pain (9 euro par pers). Pour bien connaître la Grèce, cet hôtel n’est pas du tt le reflet de la gentillesse et accueil des grecs.

• Michelle (8/5): Good location for ferry connections and near motorbike and car hire - The location suited our needs perfectly however, it is further away from the Old Town than other options. This means that it is a quieter location and placed us conveniently directly opposite the early morning ferry connection.

• JACKIE (8/5): Perfect welcoming small hotel near to port. - Great small welcoming hotel close walking distance to port. Good for our needs of a 2 night stay. Hired a car for day to visit the North. Buses go to Southern beaches. Ermopouli is a wonderful old very Greek town with beautiful old buildings. Hotel provided a kettle when asked. Only 1 small bottle of water in fridge and no glasses in room. Must have forgotten as there was a fridge!

• Deborah (9/5): Cozy, sound proofing and comfy beds helped us sleep a busy day away. - Just stunning. Great location right near the port so you can have a coffee while you wait for your Ferry. Staff are helpful and very welcoming. Only thing and my bad for not looking properly is the stairs to the room. So keep that in mind.

Perfect location, literally a few minutes walk (flat, not uphill) from the ferry, not far from lots of great restaurants & bars, also some beaches, plus it’s just next to the local bus stop if you want to explore the rest of the island. We had a room with a little balcony overlooking the port which was beautiful! The beds were super comfortable, great shower. Staff were wonderful! Very friendly & welcoming, helpful with local information & happy to lug my giant suitcase up 2 flights of stairs which I very much appreciated. Cafe downstairs is a lovely place to sit & watch the world go by. It didn’t bother us but the noise from the main street & ferries in the port can be quite loud if you like to keep the balcony doors open. It seemed to block a bit of noise if you closed them. Again, we quite liked the ambience of being in the thick of town but if you’re a light sleeper it might not be the best for you (at least the rooms facing the front)

• Lauren (9/5): Superb - Beautiful little hotel and very easy to find as it is very close to where the ferry drops you off in Ermoupolis. The staff are friendly and helpful and you can even store your bag there if you have a few hours free before the ferry arrives. Very central location - close to shops and restaurants. The room is comfortable and well maintained, The proximity to the port means that whenever you have the balcony door open, you hear the sounds of the ferry and the industrial ships, so not exactly a quiet space. (But with the door closed, the sound is blocked really well)

I locked part of my luggage in the room by mistake when I was leaving and he was there in 2 minutes to rescue me to catch my ferry on time. I was on my own so didn’t require much but he certainly was there when I needed help:)

• Filothei (2/5): No mention for such important facility missing. No elevator. - Great location Comfortable bed Polite stuff There’s nowhere a mention that there’s no elevator. (I searched both booking site and hotel site) That’s unacceptable. I arrived with an injured knee and I had to go two floors up with heavy suitcases (reception always helps so that’s nice) but it’s essential to inform people about that on the the website. Can’t find that out upon arrival. Also too expensive for what it is. 64€ for a tiny room with no natural light small window on the inside of a small alley. Too warm and no space to even open both suitcases. And in the room there’s a safety exit light that is so bright you can’t sleep at night. No value for money
• cennyontour (10/5): Absolutely fabulous hotel - 110% recommend - Had the most lovely stay at Esperance in October. The hotel is in the most ideal location just opposite the port - got checked in before our ferry had even left the port! Reception was very friendly. Got directed to a lovely fresh room. Beds were super comfortable, and the whole room was immaculate. Appeared freshly renovated. Bathroom was great - small but really nicely done. Breakfast was also worth paying for - got a selection of lots of different breakfast foods (table service) and coffee was great. They also let us leave our bags all day as we had a very late ferry out of Syros the day we were leaving. The best hotel on our Greek trip so far. Cannot believe how reasonable the price was either. Thank you very much! We will be back!

There was a confusion with two bookings which was my own doing but Kostas went over and beyond to rectify the issue and to help me as soon as possible. I am very grateful for the assistance, understanding and empathy he showed to my situation. Definitely worth staying at a hotel where they care about their customers.

• ivar62 (10/5): Very nice hotel 50 meters from the port - Very nice and cosy hotel across the road from the port. You actually look at the hotel when you get off the boat. Helpful staff, and very clean. The bus station is only a few meters away, where you easy can take buses to the different beaches on the island. The center of the town with plenty of hood restaurants is just a small walk aeay. Even so close to the bus station, road and port, it is quite quiet in the rooms.

• Nuria (8/5): Very convinient and good value from and to ferry - The location is perfect for an overnight for arrival or departure from ferry (just 2 min walking) , to discover Ermoupoli and with one of the best tavernas in Ermoupoli around the corner. The room had everything we needed, bathroom tiny. With closed windows the room was quiet silent during the night. For breakfast there is a menu you can choose from. Tomato olives salad and feta were very good. Breakfast is served at an open area in front of the port. People at the reception were friendly and helpful. In this room there is an exit light on the left side of the bed so bright that the room is not dark to sleep. Really disturbing.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastiska dagar - Vi kunde nog inte varit mer nöjda. Bra läge, jättetrevlig personal, fina fräscha rum med utsikt över hamnen. Frukosten var över förväntan och väldigt god. Det enda som kunde förbättras var att städerskan inte uppmärksammade att vi spillt på golvet som hon missade att dammsugande/sopade upp.
• Melpo (8/5): - The location was perfect! Right next to the bus station and a quick walk to restaurants/shops. Staff were super helpful and very sweet! Breakfast was good. The room was New York City size but impeccably clean and beds were really comfortable. I wish we had got the room next door as it had a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the amazing view and also dry the day’s beach things. Definitely would recommend this place.

• 439janiev (10/5): Harbor Delight - Esperance 1: all though we were in the port, I would say this hotel was in a great location, right across the street from the port and Bus stop. The Hotel staff was full of information, spoke good English and was able to help us with our excursions and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was included and was fresh and satisfying. The rooms were small, but we had everything we needed. There is no elevator, but the staff will help you with your bags as you need. As we were on the third floor.

Staff were very friendly. Loved the balcony although it was very windy that day No coffee machine or electric kettle in the room. Marble stairs to first floor, not easy climb with heavy luggage. Best and most convenient location in Syros, great value for money and overall and a very special place. Also a cute patio to enjoy a breakfast or a Greek frappe coffee. Definately a gem in the gorgeous and cosmopolitan island of Syros.
