- Rachel (10/5): Perfection with staff that can become your friends. - We loved the food at the restaurant. Our stay in the Philippines is coming to an end and almost two weeks later we are comparing all of our food to ocean vida's restaurant. WOW. The staff went above and beyond to provide immediate and friendly service. I even asked where I could get Suman which is a local Philippino sticky rice that I love, and the staff found it and brought it for me. Unbelievable. I made friends that I'll never forget.

- Adam (9/5): Tolles Personal und Essen - Tolles Resort, super freundliches Personal. Das Essen vermutlich das Beste auf der Insel. Die Zimmer sind schlicht ubd funktional. Aber dennoch Liebevoll dekoriert. Wer hier 2mm Silikonfugen im Bad erwartet wird aber enttäuscht, es ist eben kein 5 Sterne Resort sondern auf Funktion und Sauberkeit ausgelegt. Leider sind die Seaviewzimmer direkt am Strand an der Bar. Dadurch ist es bis ca 11 Uhr relativ unruhig. Auch brummt die ganze Nacht ein Kompressor (vermutlich der Tauchbasis oder Generator) im Hinterhof.
- Charlotte (10/5): - Tolles Hotel mit wunderschönen großen Zimmern und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Die Bar am Strand ist auch super wobei es hier zum Sunset wirklich voll werden kann. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im hinteren Bereich, dort war es abends auch sehr ruhig (ich weiß nicht, wie es bei den vorderen Zimmern ist).

Sie haben sogar zur Überraschung für meinen Partner beim Frühstück gesungen und haben ihm einen Brownie mit Kerze gemacht. Total cute! Allgemein super Frühstück! Leider war der Strand am Hotel nicht der perfekte Sand wie z.B. der nordstrand der ca 25 min zu Fuß oder 5 min per Roller war. Aber für die Happy Hour zum Sonnenuntergang war es top

- Pauline (10/5): Un hôtel incroyable qui chouchoute ses plongeurs - Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Ocean Vida Beach and Dive Resort ! La localisation est idéale, les pieds dans le sable, et le meilleur centre de plongée de l’île se situe juste à l’entrée. L’hôtel prépare les petits déjeuners à emporter pour les plongeurs qui partent tôt. Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins. Les chambres sont confortables et spacieuses ! Le restaurant de l’hôtel est délicieux, et c’est bien pratique de pouvoir tout mettre sur une note qu’on paye à la fin. Un grand merci pour le séjour que nous avons passé !

- Ofer (10/5): Magical place on a magical island - Beautiful place on the beach, chill and comfortable. Big room with excellent balcony facing the beach. Nice bar, local dive center and surrounding. Staff very warm and kind. The only downside was lack of water pressure in the shower. But this is typical of such a small island with limited facilities, and I assume there are similar problems in other hotels around.

- Richard (7/5): Good overall stay - Location to the water, clean and the staff made the place a happy and welcoming place. Dive Center was well set up equipment in good condition. Good cross food selection in the restaurant. Amazing sunsets. No pool , beach area was not really suitable for swimming and there was a sulphur smell coming off the water. Nitrox testing was not done by the divers.

- Jade (10/5): Absolutely perfect stay in Malapascua - I would love to gatekeep this place so that it doesn’t become outrageously popular and booked out for the next 10 years, but I have to be honest. It was my favourite hotel in my entire trip in the Philippines. I was meant to be in Donsol, but due to weather conditions changed my trip very last minute to Malapascua. As it was last minute, sadly Ocean Vida only had one night available, and I stayed in a competitor the night before (which was a 0/10 in comparison). I don’t know what Ocean Vida did to achieve this, but it created an instant sense of calm. The staff are so kind and friendly (and genuinely so - not in a hospitality, forced, scripted kind of way - in a “we genuinely want you to enjoy your stay and care about you” kind of way, and the environment and decor was so calming. Everything was spotlessly clean, the food at the restaurant was lovely, there were very thoughtful little touches (like a piece of cake and a good night message) and the sunsets from their bar are nothing short of stunning. They even made me a packed breakfast because I was up very early for diving, which was so thoughtful and sweet. Everything at the hotel was beautifully put together, but not in a try-hard way, just in a tasteful, elegant way. Will definitely (a) come back to Malapascua and (b) only stay here when I do (and book well in advance to get a decent amount of time here next time!!) One night, but enough to make an impression. Thank you Ocean Vida, I had a wonderful stay with you. Nothing. It was perfect and I can’t wait to come back.

Had issues with my Advance Open Water Cert Referral - this situation made my vacation start of so incredible stressful. I still don't understand why my referral wasn't accepted, made me pay for cert again. Really not happy about this!

Gute Aufnahme mit Begrüßungscocktail und kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten. Lage direkt am Strand. Gut geführt und organisiert. Gebuchter Transfer hat gut geklappt. Klasse Frühstück. Kombistecker gehen auch mit europäischen Steckern. Leider ein wenig Müll im Wasser vor dem Hotel. Besuch des Leuchtturms nicht empfehlenswert, da kein Ausblick.

- Manuel (6/5): Les gérants devraient s inspirer de leur personnel - Tout était parfait, les installations, l emplacement, et surtout le personnel très souriant, efficace et disponible. La façon dont la responsable a géré notre départ d urgence dû à l arrivée d une dépression. Nous avons du quitter ( en une heure) l île car le port risquait de fermer pour plusieurs jours. Aucun remboursement pour les deux nuits payées d avance et perdues. Ce sont les risques d un voyage sous les tropiques fut notre seule réponse. Mettre des gens dehors sans savoir si ils ont un autre hébergement, alors qu une tempête arrive, relève d une drôle de philosophie pour un responsable d hébergement qui se prétend d une certaine éthique. Ils se sont surtout inquiétés de savoir si nous avions bien réglé les extras . Quand au gérant du club de plongée du complexe, je n avais jamais vu ça ailleurs. Aucun accueil, informations sur les sites minimales, plus pressé d aller fumer sa cigarette dehors que de s occuper de ses clients. Et pourtant nous ne sommes pas du genre à bichonner. La encore heureusement que le personnel de plongée a sauvé l honneur du club. Bref , nous retournons à Malapascua, mais dans un autre centre assurément.

- SiMa (10/5): PREISWERTER wunderbarer Aufenthalt. - Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Viele Details veraten, dass dieses Hotel "europäisch" geführt wird. Die Besizterin kommt aus der Schweiz und ist viel anwesend und schaut in der Ruhe, das alles nach dem rechten geht. Das Personal ist super freundlich, alles wird gereinigt und gepflegt. Jeden Morgen gibt es eine andere Auswahl an Frühstück welches sehr schmeckt. Alle Mitarbeiter tragen schöne Kleider, die sie erkenntlich machen, dass sie zum Hotel gehören. Das Essen generell ist fantastisch, wir hatten nie Probleme (bei anderen Hotels im Land schon) Auch wenn wir wären des zweiten Tayphoon dort waren (High Tid und grosse Wellen) Meerwasser bis ins Hotelzimmer gebracht und wir die Nacht nicht geschlafen haben --> wir würden wieder kommen. Das Hotel ist vielleicht im Preis höher wie andere --> den Preisunterschied kannst du sehen wenn du vor Ort bist. --> erkenntliches Personal, alles wird immer gereinigt, es wird auf die Hygiene geachtet, grosse Auswahl an Getränken und Essen. Jeden Abend kleine Keks mit einem kleinen Schreiben dazu an der Zimmertür. --> es war einfach wunderbar und PREIS- und EMPFEHLENSWERT

- Ardo (10/5): Overall - one of the best value for money hotels I've stayed in. - This resort was cozy and friendly, among other things. Rooms are good (make sure to take a bit better rooms with the view to the sea - the price & quality difference are worth it), location is super... But now the main parts. I'm very picky with my food - their inhouse restaurant is super! We tried to eat also in other places but ended up coming back to our own hotel for everything. Food quality is very, very good. Another main point - staff was super friendly. Not friendly in a "we have to be" kind of way but really really warm, friendly, helpful in any way. I was very impressed. This resort (while not expensive) is probably still prices above everybody else on the island but it's definitely worth it. Small thing - I had a weak pressure in my hotel room shower. I hear my friend didn't have this issues, so it's probably just this one room.

- CARMEN (10/5): Relax - Destacaría fundamentalmente la simpatía y acogida del personal y la gerente, así como la limpieza de las instalaciones. Ademas, a pesar de estar a pie de playa, tiene todas las facilidades para limpiarte y no llenar todo de arena. Además, si aún así manchas algo de arena, te lo limpian a diario con detalle. La decoración de las habitaciones espectacular, con múltiples detalles y comodidad ante todo. La mejor cama de filipinas ya que por nuestra experiencia suelen pecar de duras. Los pufs de la playa son un punto genial para relajarse y en general el complejo incita a la relajación. Nos gustó también mucho el masaje del centro asociado, aunque era un poco caro en comparación con la media. - El restaurante es mejorable. Caro para la media de la isla y la comida no está tan buena como la ofrecida por el sitio de al lado más modesto y barato. - Las tarifas del sitio de buceo anexo que te ofrecen no están claras. Te dicen un precio ya extremadamente superior a la media del país (comparable a bucear en España más de 14.000 pesos) y luego le suman sobre la marcha las tasas cuando ya lo has firmado y al ir a pagar te enteras de que te han cobrado unos 2700 de más por lo que suponemos que era el equipo. Estuvimos con varios huéspedes que se iban a bucear con otros centros cercanos y no lo entendimos hasta el último día que recibimos la cuenta. No es tanto el dinero si no la suma continua de añadidos. En contraposición, destacar el buen trato del divemaster y otros trabajadores del barco. Eso sí fue una gran experiencia y nada tiene que ver con la queja principal.

Privé transfer ( boot en taxi) goed geregeld door hotel. Redelijk schoon. Restaurant niet goed, matig ontbijt en diepvries pizza; geen goede kwaliteit. Vieze geur uit riool via doucheputje (te verhelpen door er iets op te zetten). prijs kwaliteit in verhouding tot andere resorts in buurt matig.

- Vanessa (8/5): Very good - The place is quiet, clean, and comfy. The bed is big and super comfy to sleep in. It looks exactly like what you see in the photos. The bathroom has complete essentials including hand cream and body lotion. The lady receptionist, I forgot her name, is always smiling and friendly unlike the male receptionist. The location is perfect—right in front of the sea—and the staff were incredibly helpful, even assisting us in organizing a snorkeling trip around the island. The on-site restaurant was very good, with friendly staff who also made sure we had breakfast ready for our early diving trips. The beach area is lovely, and our room was spacious and comfortable. My wife visited the spa at the sister resort and was very happy with the experience. A highlight of our trip was the excellent dive center on site. Special thanks to our dive instructor, Alex, for some truly unforgettable dives! all good. getting to Malapascua requires some effort but Ocean Vida and the dives & snorkeling made it worth it !

- Stewart (9/5): Quaint, comfortable resort with reputable dive centre in prime beachfront location. - Good location on the beachfront. Friendly, attentive, kind and professional staff. Reputable dive centre partnering in main building. Nice personable touches each day per room and all round good quality. A bit noisy from local / neighbour hotel bar with live music at the weekends until 11pm. Not ideal if rising super early in the morning for diving - but under the hotel’s control. Breakfast was functional but nothing particularly standout.

- Stephan (9/5): beautiful rooms, wonderful garden, just a lovely place! - lovely compound with a lush garden, beautiful lighting; the bungalow was well designed, clean and spacious, beds super comfy, the shower was very good, the staff was amazin, the welcome procedure in itself outstanding; free calamansi-infused water while you sit on the beach; genuinely liked the restaurant (try the philippine tapas!) breakfast buffett was comparatively boring (except the fresh juices!), all in all not the cheapest place
