Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Verified traveler (8/5): Heart of Kuta - Was send my family to stay, and they said they were happy, thank you for taking care my family
- Olvina (8/5): Great service - So glad, the hotel was upgraded our rooms to deluxe, thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location ,60M from main street, hotel very basic, breakfast often cold, small selection, just somewhere to sleep really .Pool small .You get what you pay for !
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This hotel is very rundown. Aircon broken, sheets dirty, blocked sink, mouldy
- yulianto (8/5): - Lokasi sangat strategis di pusat Kuta, kemana mana dekat dan dekat depot muslim( Wrg Padang, Wrg masakan Jatim, sate Madura)
- rodney (10/5): Recommended - Great chain of hotels. Comfortable bed, great bathroom & TV channels.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was very difficult to find the property. Much smaller than expected. Breakfast was adequate, staff were ok.
- Siaw Phin (8/5): Relaxing trip - Heated shower working well, no hairdryer in the room. wifi is slow. Very convenient location to stay if you are exploring kuta beachwalk area.
- Sasha (8/5): - Loved location and hotel. Pool was small. Loved the room but had to provide my own kettle. Very clean and staff pleasant. I would stay here again. Breakfast mainly catered for Indonesians but was ok.
- S (10/5): Great stay + variety morning food + good infra - Amazing Stay and variety of complementary breakfast............. In between junction of two roads......... This budget of room per night with huge facility will beat all nearby hotels ..... MISS OKADA of hotel staff has helped me with her laptop to transfer my important file.......... The person who look for staff is also great , sorry I forget the name. She and reservation senior staff should be rewarded by hotel management with not only by certificate by , but with some money / cash reward
- Verified traveler (2/5): -
- Dan (6/5): You get what you pay for. - I decided to use a budget hotel as I was traveling with friends. I stayed 8 nights. The room itself was ok. Bed was good. Room had no fridge. This is a first for me. I usually buy extra bottled water and a few beers. So that was an inconvenience drinking room temperature water. Also hot water is non existent. The moment some else used the hot water the shower turns to cold. There wasn’t a room safe but got one installed the next day. I stayed on the 3rd floor. You can hear doors closing nearby rooms. So sound proofing wasn’t good. The door did not shut properly. You had to pull it shut yourself. I noticed other doors weren’t closed either. The 3rd floor elevator down button did not work. They say 24hrs room service but only on certain items. Overall I would not stay here unless it was a quick stay. Location was central. The staff were attentive. But was let down by the room and facility.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Adequate cheap hotel just behind Mata Hari Kuta. Staff very helpful with all requests.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is welll maintained and they have very friendly staff!
- David (8/5): - The hotel needs redecorating as the public areas and bedrooms are now quite well-used.
- mohd (8/5): - this can walk to kuta beach, hard rock cafe, beachwalk
- Lily (8/5): - Nice hotel close to beach and dinning, basic simple but good for budget travel
- chester (4/5): - When I booked I requested a double bed , they gave me two singles, I said okay can you change it tomorrow, they said yes and didn’t change it and said for the inconvenience they would give me breakfast free , day 3 I still didn’t get my double bed. I didn’t complain. I thought oh well , I went to have breakfast and was told I am not entitled to breakfast . So I went up to the counter. And the staff that served me on arrival. Was the afternoon staff and the morning staff new nothing about the free breakfast. Then argued with me that I was not in my room. So they couldn’t change the bed . And their was no towels in the room when I arrived the shower rose was partly blocked and the shower rose was hanging out the wall loose . the toilet leaked when you flushed it . If you didn’t put the sign on your door to clean your room it didn’t get done. The entrance door would only latch if you slammed it , as you can imagine the noise with each door slammed .
- Zoie (8/5): - The bathroom could do with a refit but part from that it was a good cheap little hotel right in the centre of Kuta
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Poor Wifi.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Save your money. - The pictures make it look much nicer than it is. The local area I wasn’t too crazy about either. The room wasn’t very nice and very small and breakfast was supposed to be included but the hotel refused to give us vouchers when we got here. The water in the shower AND in our friends shower was not hot at all and the bathroom was extremely basic. Save your money and go somewhere else.
- Michael (4/5): Cheap price, but worn out hotel - The hotel is not like the pictures. The hotel is worn out. Overall the stay was okay, but I would search for other options.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - was good
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not as described online. - Moved out after 1st nights stay hotel no where near as portrayed! Had to rebook at Greengarden hotel through Expedia should be on your files! Also would like reimbursement for nights cancelled due to not being as described.
Kind regards
Mark.H
- Jinyoung (4/5): Not a good experience - Mostly, I was struggling with mosquitos. After sleeping one day, I was biten about 10 places on my body. Furthermore, I made reservation with non-smoking room (preference). However, they gave me smoking room, and therefore the smells from air conditioner was very bad. I don't think I am not that picky since I have a lot of exprience in travelling and stayed poor quality dorms too. Anyways, it wasn't that good considering price.
- Anon (6/5): reasonable hotel in an area that I know and like - staff very helpful and pleasant - rooms fine - cups or mugs would be welcome next to the kettle - I would think about staying again
- Charles (8/5): okey - yes
- Tony (8/5): - Was great
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel for the price, friendly helpful staff. Location is away from the main section of Kuta but still within easy walking distance.
Rooms are clean and neat, and wifi works well.
Very good value for money
- Chong (6/5): Location gd - but lousy breakfast, wifi, air con - Do not buy breakfast together with the room. Buy it from the hotel directly.. It is 40% cheaper if you pay on the spot. The breakfast is horrible anyway..
Location - super.. All surrounded by shops n bars n foods etc.
Air con - not cold at all
Wifi - it on off...
- HAZRIL (8/5): Backpacker choice - Hotel was really good. Backpackers should consider this hotel.
- john (2/5): Hotel is close to beach and shopping centers - When I checked in to my room, bedsheet was not lay, table is not clean and you can see many ants around the table.
- Alex (4/5): - For a little more money you can stay in a much better hotel , the staff altough nice can't understand more than 10 words in English , the bathroom had a terrible sewage stink and every morning I wake up to screaming school children who appear to be hanging besides the hotel each day for a couple of hours uninterrupted. There are a lot of much better hotels around kuta with similar price.
- Abdullah (8/5): Nice & Pretty Budget Hotel - It was great stay at nice area near Kuta Square
- Verified traveler (2/5): poor experience - booked 2 rooms where 1 of roommate bite by insect. after complaints, change the bedsheet. but still happened. 3rd day change the room. my booking is deluxe room and yet downgrade my booking to standard room without any refund and compensation. really is a horrible experience.
- Zulhendra (8/5): great spot for staying at kuta - recommended!!
- jimmy (10/5): Great stay - Fairly cheap for Bali, good rooms and service with central location. No fridge in the room but I didn't need one
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location was very convenient to go see all the shops, restaurants, and the beach!
- Robert (10/5): Friendly, clean and handy location. - Nicest manager upgraded our room for free when we had no wi-fi (dead spot maybe?) Nice view and sunrise. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and functional rooms. Great location within walking distance to everything, including Legian Street. If you shop around on the different hotel booking websites you can probably snag a bargain room. This will be my first choice for my next Kuta stay.
- Joshua (8/5): GREAT PRICE and GREAT ROOM - great
- cass (8/5): Nice hotel. Close to everything. Staff wonderful. - Only fault was they didn't cater for western breakfast
- Chepy (8/5): - Family hotel...many kids at the pool
- Andrew (2/5): - Terrible, Dark, Damp ... Way better places for the same price point in Bali ...
- Syaiful (8/5): First time in Bali - Value for money. Many shops nearby.
- David (8/5): Not all rooms have a Fridge - The room we were given when we arrived did not have a fridge. This was ok at first but as we were there over Neypi day and could not leave the hotel would have become a problem but the staff were good and arranged an upgrade at no extra cost to a room with fridge. The hotel is small but reasonably new bathrooms in both rooms we stayed in have very poor drainage and the showers overflowed giving that damp smell in the bathroom unless you leave the door open during the day to dry out. Breakfast area is small and not a good selection. No bar.
- Bogdan (8/5): Good location - The hotel is in a good area, close to the beach, good restaurants around and the price is ok! The staff is firendly and the breakfast is complete!
- Brad (6/5): Cheap price, nice food - If your on a budget and not spending much time in your room it would be fine....room service meal was nice...make sure your room has a fridge as our didnt.... (was advertised as having one)....staff were friendly....but what do you expect for around $35 a night..We would stay again
- Peter (10/5): Fave Kuta Square - My Fave in Kuta
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fave - My Fave Hotel
- Tamara (10/5): WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! - The hotel was perfect. The staff were amazing. Close to absolutely everything! Loved the complimentary honeymoon set up and room upgrade.
- lbs (6/5): Average hotel - Customer swim early in the morning by 6am+,made big noise,We were stayed at 2nd floor window facing pool, was affected. Drain water flow very slow, always flood.only 1 key given per room , very difficult for 2 persons wan to go out separately. Room abit small, couldn't put 2 or more big luggages. staff very helpful.
- erie (6/5): It is very close to Kuta beach, and Kuta Square - It was for my survey trip in Bali. Overall, the hotel is very nice, except for parking lot. It is difficult to park my rented-car. However, the hotel staff was very helpful in this issue.
- Noramin (6/5): - Small and clean room. Friendly hotel staff. Walking distance to the beach. I didn't take my breakfast at the hotel so I didn't know how the food taste. But it seems like there was not much of food served.
- Peter J (10/5): Fave Hotel Kuta - Great people work on the reception desk.
- Oja (6/5): Affordable budget hotel - Overall, it was a satisfying stay but wi-fi very slow. There was a problem with the water flow at the shower area but they fixed it after I made a complaint.
- cataintheworld (8/5): Close to beach and friendly staff - Good experience, quiet after 10 pm when children go to bed. Walking distance from beach. Good food at restaurant and friendly staff. Good for the money.
- PRISCILLA F. (2/5): Terrible - We paid for two nights but it was so bad we left early and no one even asked why, stunk, pool was terrible would not recommend.
- brian (6/5): - no fridge in room hadf to upgrade
no tea or coffee in roon
breakfast menu woeful unless its eggs eggs and eggs no cereal potatos beans etc
- Alice (10/5): Goood services - Good
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Disappointed with stay; small, uncomfortable room; poor housekeeping service; old worn building with minimal amenities; would not recommend
- HY (8/5): Nice hotel near to Kuta Beach - Just walking distance to Kuta Beach and easy access to many eateries around. Reasonable price for the stay. Helpful staff with average proficiency of English.
- Sylfi (2/5): Once is more than enough - almost no wall surround us sleeping, you can hear every step people make walking by your room, was "so lucky" to have a neighbour almost deaft from the parents to the kids banging the door so loud and it was more than 5 minutes, at the 1st day I thought it was my door, was get up and checked was a big boy calling his parents, next day was a mom bang bang the door, not knocking.. I saw the second time on my second day of staying this fam next door were so nice neighbour, then I called the operator asked them to help this mom borrow the key so she can wake all the deaft kids up. well it was enough to wake me up, people just chattering next room or infront of the door I can hear them clearly.
by the window every morning babies and kinder was screaming and crying, they was in the pool and this window seems not there to proof the sound. No food you can order from the room coz they have no kitchen, it was a good experienced from 21 - 24 dec 2014 stay in this hotel, maybe it is a cheap hotel 445.000 rupiah per night so these what they sell in fave hotel kuta square, no wonder the taxi driver said to my friend was also booked in the same hotel "Ohhh... hotel kacangan itu"... yaiksss... big mistake choose this one from hotel.com, I think there are better place to stay next time with the same price... sayonara Fave kuta square located in a small hole behind tht difficult to park the car, lucky they are ready valet for free..
- Regita (6/5): Nice Hotel, Nice Staff - the first time i came to this hotel the koridor of my room si smelly, bad smell.
so i call the room service to get the air freshener.
the next day i buy the air freshner by myself to make my room fresh.
- Yusop (10/5): Hotel in the heart of Kuta - Staying in hotel is very pleasant, quiet, and clean.
The staffs are very helpful and always smile to the guests
the rate is very reasonable for all types of customers
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean Rooms. - Actions are attended immediately. Friendly staff.
- Nicky noo (6/5): Clean good location - This hotel is well located near kuta square. Perfect if you will be out all the time. I had the cheapest most basic room. Very clean tiny rooms. Seems to cater for Asian travellers so no noise problems. Good pool, better than Angel. Friendly helpful staff. No minibar! But they do provide complimentary water by reception. Can't complain for price. Food looked good room service is available till 10. Good prices. Bintang to your room is about 22000 rp. My only downside is the air conditioner really struggled, no power to the room if you aren't there and it took a hour to cool slightly. It was eventually ok. However as serious budget hotel, where you plan to only sleep this is a great place. You can walk easily to beach, party zones, poppies and kuta square. I think the rooms may adjoin too which would be useful for family groups
- Patricia (8/5): Nice hotel close to the beach - This is my 2nd times stay here, after Nov 2013. I love this htl bcos near to go anywhere part of Kuta area. Also close to the beach. The htl staff is nice en very helpfull. I really enjoy my day during stay at this htl for 4 days.
- Sheryl (8/5): Good value for modern and clean room. - Quick check in, nicr room and well cleaned everydayou. Only issue is the noise from nearby school through the day and also loud guests during late nights. Overall, good value hotel as everything is still new, modern, clean and in a good location. Would consider returning again.
- Victor (8/5): Very friendly staff -
Reception very proffesional, fast and prompt checkin/checkout, very helpful and approachable.
Room abit small but very clean and comfortable, would do with coffee/tea facilities, nice view for my room 206 overlooking the swimming pool
swimming pool small closes at 6 p.m which i believe can have improvement to keep open till 10pm. At least. Very clean
Excellent location and good value for the price paid
would recommend it for people travelling first time to Bali
- Greg (6/5): as expected - the hotel is good location, close to main things in Kuta, especially to the beach.
the room is OK, but nothing special. we went for surfing in Kuta, so we left room early in the morning and came back after dinner. we had good sleep there.
- Sandra (6/5): Worth every penny - I truly enjoyed my stay at Kuta FaveHotel. The hotel is quite new, Well located and the staff is friendly. Bed was comfy. The only négative thing I can say is that molds were visible around the sink and in the shower, which is surprising, the building being young.
- Stephanie (8/5): Close to shops, beach - Nice stay at favehotel kuta square. I probably would not stay again unless I could not find anywhere else - while it was relatively clean, and had a good location, it wasn't anything special.
- Nicole (6/5): Practical, near airport - Why Fave worked for me:
1. front desk kindly let me check in a few hours early
2. They offered free water to refill bottles in the lobby. Less plastic waste, yay! Great to see some Eco conscious practices.
3. 15 minute drive from the airport, had to catch an early flight
4. Short walk to the beach and tourist shops, good place to while away a day's layover in Bali.
What did not work for me: there was a stale smell in the room, but we got used to it after a while.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay for low price - Even though Kuta is not the best place in Bali to stay this hotel by far serves it's purpose. It's cheap and clean and close to the beach so that you can go surfing.
- Paul (6/5): Good Location - Nothing special but perfectly good enough for a week. The location is good only a few minutes walk to the beach, shops, restaurants etc.
- Karina (8/5): THE ROOM IS GREAT BUT CAN BE NOISY. - THE ROOM IS GREAT.
BUT ONCE THE POOL IN THE COURT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HOTEL, SO IF SOMEONE COME TO SWIM IN THE MORNING, IT WILL MAKE SO MUCH NOISE TO THE ROOMS AROUND.
BREAKFAST WASN'T GOOD.
I LIKE THE STYLE OF THIS HOTEL THOUGH, SO CHIC AND MODERN.
- Christine (8/5): great location - this is a great location around Kuta area but no recommended stay on weekdays because that's a school just next to the hotel, kids will wake you up at 7am. Staff are nice and helpful. Enjoy the trip in Bali~
- Sammyt86 (8/5): Good location - My mate and I did read someone on the site that we were getting a room with a fridge however there are no fridges at all in any rooms. Was a little bumed by that however overall it was good :)
- Vinnie (8/5): - overall everything was fine, staff there very polite, when they see u on the floor with greet u by their "balinese style". the room is bigger then i though.. but swimming pool was small ..
- Verified traveler (8/5): This hotel ovarall is ok - This hotel ovarall is ok, but sound-proofing is poor.
- Verified traveler (6/5): okok - that is a very horrible experience when staying in this hotel. water could not flow, need to wait abt 15 minutes then only can continue showering, if not the water would flow up until outside of toilet.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good Location - This hotel has a good location. It is easy to access Kuta Beach and Discovery Mall.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The room where I stayed is opposite the swimming pool. There were so many people in front of the rooms. Too noisy and less privacy.
- Mudme (10/5): Great hotel in a good spot - I love Favehotel Kuta Square, Bali. I arrived late and check-in was smooth. it just took few seconds. I stayed in for a few days and I am so glad that the location is right by the town center and beach. It's only 5 minutes walk to the beach, fast food, local food and many shops around, its really strategic.. This is very good hotel. i definitely stay there next time. Thank you Favehotel Kuta Square, Bali.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Poor house keeping and limited breakfast options. - Excellent location. Hotel will do well if the rooms are cleaned without having to call house keeping every day. New and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is very limited. Need to improve menu also keeping in mind to add a few vegetarian options.
- William Yong (6/5): Trip to Land of Gods! - Basically, the overall condition of the room & hotel was average and for those people looking for budget stay, Fave Kuta is definitely the right choice to stay. Location wise is also average as it is only accessible via an alley from the main road, Jln. Pantai. There is no drop-off point at the hotel so guest have to really hop-out from the car fast enough as cars behind is waiting. There were no towels provided in the room and it is only provided after a call was made to housekeeping. Electric kettle is also not provided in each room, so for guest looking for a sip of coffee or tea, a big turn off for them. Not to worries though, few walks away to the convenient store nearby and a bottle of 'Bintang' surelly satisfy your thirst.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Bargain in good location - For the price, hard to beat. The rooms are basic, with no closets and little counter space, but for college kids coming to Kuta to party, or a young couple on a budget, this place is ideal. The atmosphere is cool, friendly, and modern. The hotel seems environmentally conscious, with key-activated in-room electricity. The rooms have interesting touches, like the translucent shower and rain shower head, and mirrors in the bedroom. But, the hotel is obviously in a very old building which has been renovated, because there are multiple leaks and you could feel the wind and rain through our window. Not luxurious by any means, but adequate and quirky. Breakfast is included and is very nice- they will do eggs made to order if you ask. Request a room which does not overlook the square, as the kids practice karate beginning around 7 am.
- Ani (8/5): Excellent services and close to Kuta Beach. - The room was very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location, walking distance to the bank, shopping mall, restaurants, pharmacy, Kuta Square, beaches like Kuta, Seminyak, and Legian. Also, the hotel rate was great.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Was alright but our room was really small with view on a wall. Not super clean (don't look the corner) specially in the bathroom and no hot water. Breakfast is indonesian food I was not really impress. But great location and quiet
- maria t (6/5): Good value and location - hotel is good price for value and location. walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars etc. room was clean although the bathroom smelled like sewage. construction was going on early in the morning so that was a downside for sure. would recommend for budget. Walls were thin
- Donnatallo (8/5): Great location - Close to all amenities, only prob was they lost power each day we were there, but was fixed within 10 mins each time.
- Guest (6/5): Value for Money - On balance favehotel is value for money. On the positive side: location is 5 minute walk to beach, good shopping and dining. The room has a comfortable bed, a small desk, cold AC. On the negative side, there is an excess of noise due to ongoing construction work during the day, and you should expect to be included in your neighbors' activities, as you will hear their conversations, TV, water use through the very thin walls. Also seems to be no segregation of smoking and non-smoking rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, friendly service - The hotel was located right next to tune hotel. The location was superb. Less than 5 minute walk to kuta beach and you can shop along the streets! Very convenient. The room was okay, downside was there's no minibar or fridge in the rooms. Plus there's mosquito probably because of the construction works besides the hotel. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
- Steve (8/5): - Facilities: Typical, Lacked fridge; Value: Economical; Service: Courteous; Cleanliness: Spotless;
