- Tourist40291286923 (2/5): Hotel Quality is very, very low - The staff were very nice and they also tried to help us during our stay in Istanbul. I have to say they one of very few groups that are not trying to scam you. The hotel needs major renovation, and I mean major. We were told it was 4 star, it's around a 1.5 star at best. Expect a lot of noise as their is a Mosque next door. If they simply started working on this hotel it could be very nice, but even the furniture has worn stain/paint down to bare wood. Cleanliness is moderate to low. Beware of buying anything in Turkey, I've never been to a place ever with this many con-artists. If you buy anything make it a low cost purchase and do not trust what anyone tells you about any good or service you are purchasing. Double check everything online prior to traveling and during your stay in this place research everything online right before shelling out any money. You should type in scam into your search Turkey could be a great place to visit but I absolutely do not recommend it because there are so many crooks there trying to rip you off. It is non-stop. Again, the staff at the hotel were nice but that is all I can say was good.

- HeatherM3643 (10/5): Wonderful 4 Night Visit - We had a lovely 4 night stay at The Time Hotel . Bed room was clean and had the extras you need. Coffee , tea, toiletries, WiFi , tv and a good hairdryer. Rooms cleaned daily . Staff really helpful and pleasant . Breakfast and good variety of produce on the breakfast buffet. Hotel ideally situated to be able to walk and visit all the main tourist areas . We felt safe and secure during our stay . Only thing we can think of to improve the service would be better locks on the spa lockers as one key seemed to fit all . We would most definitely recommend this hotel to people visiting this lovely city and we hope to return in the future.
- nawfel241282 (2/5): Bad experience - A very bad experience The staff are not qualified, they even don't understand other languages else Turkish And they are not helpful and even not credible They gave us very bad rooms (not the rooms in pictures when we booked) and obliged us to pay extra money for a third bed which is mentioned paid in the booking. We spent 3 days waiting to change the rooms to better ones. But no solution in the end. The rooms were very bad, the furniture as well, with a bed smell, no aeration. Food was not good

As also booked room 406… Receptionist Erhan, Yusuf are excellent in how they handle issues and resolve them without any hesitation. The Room was very clean and neat and has tea and coffee in room. I always book and highly recommend this hotel. I plan on returning in a couple of months and no doubt will be staying here. Breakfast was nice and hot too. Although personal preference having sunnyside eggs would have completed my breakfast 👌 HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!

The staff are very friendly, they are all good people, they are very friendly. Although I stayed for a week, we became like a family, I hope I have the opportunity to go to Istanbul again and stay in such a quality hotel. Thanks again to all staff for their interest.

The Wifi was okay but would freeze sometimes and always needed to be logging in. The rooms are quite small and are not as nice as the pictures. The breakfast was nice, with a good selection. - caliptoa (2/5): Wawww Desaster hotel - It all started when I wanted to visit Istanbul for a few days. I started looking for a well-located hotel with a good price. Breakfast was all perfect. But when I got everything It was an illusion pool and breakfast rooms did not correspond at all I would not give it a Star I say nothing happens I am here to visit but The last straw does not even have Hot Water imagine everything The day of visit in the city upon arrival there is no Hot water to others when you claim they don't listen they say wait for a breakfast that does not give much to what an unpleasant hotel staff wants and they only speak Turkish at the end I do not advise this hotel is a scam I prefer to pay more and have a relaxing stay to be in hôtel that sells a medium-sized service where you will feel that you have had a bad choice

- xzaxza2015 (10/5): Back Again! It's home now!!! - Firstly I would like to thank Hakan, Mehmet, Erhan, Sevcan, Kadr, Aleyna, Akusta, Kadim, Semsiye, Suzan and Suna who made my stay very comfortable. With the jokes that Hakan come out with you cant help but laugh! Erhan set air con so it does not change through the night which made it comfortable to sleep. Mehmet always helped be it coffee or food he was always on hand. I thank the three ladies that kept my room clean and tidy everyday. The new Management has made few noticeable changes and I can see this will bring the Hotel on par with some of the top brand names. The new chef is doing an excellent job and there is more variety at breakfast and this hotel has a bread toasting facility!!! I highly recommend this hotel even if you have had a bad experience in the past it certainly has improved. Tram station two mins down the road, coffee shop just around the corner and a lot of good shopping all walking distance. Hotel is situated in the perfect spot only 5 mins walk to Grand Bazaar etc. Regards Mr Patel Room 106

- MichalT95 (8/5): Excellent breakfast, OK rooms - I had one overnight transit and got a good deal for this hotel using my Lufthansa miles to stay in this hotel. Location is great, the check-in process was swift and hotel staff professional and welcoming. While the room was nothing to be excited, it was clean and everything needed has been there. What was totally satisfying was the breakfast which consisted of many choices and very good quality of everything and it really made a good start for our day. If I have transit in Istanbul next time, I would definitely come again.

The rooms are very comfortable. The continental breakfast is very good . Wonderful view of the Laleli Mosque from the window of our room. And the best in this hotel is the hotel staff: very friendly, welcoming, pampering, attentive; bending over backwards to make your stay an exceptional stay. They always give you good advices and help you to organize great excursions in the city at the best price . I was with my brother for this Istanbul trip and both enjoyed staying at The Time Hotel

Breakfast: Chef Huseiyn did a good job and the new staff member Cadim also very polite and helpful. Would prefer to see some fresh fruit and naybe some fried eggs would be good otherwise lovely. Thank you to the ladies who cleaned my room each day and always made sure I had enough toiletries. Location of this hotel is perfect especially having everything on the door step! Marmaray Metro not too far 5/7 min walk away, Tram 1 minute away. Grand Bazar only two stop away on tram. SultanAhmet just three stips away. - YoussefD29 (2/5): Worst hôtel - It is the worst hôtel I ever seen in my life. The bed is horrible, I don’t understand how the hôtel manager can leave this kind of bed in a 4 stars hôtel. When I checked in, the room was durty, we were 2 people ans the room was ready just for one. The spa and swimming pool were durty. The morning front desk clerk sold us a diner on a boat even if he knew that the quality is very bad. There was too much nose, we couldn’t sleep all the week long. I am more than sure that it is the worst hotel I ever seen in my life.

- xzaxza2015 (8/5): Eid Celebration - So hubby booked us away for Eid to this wonderful location. Hotel was lovely and the views were for the mosque right across from my balcony. Close to trams 2 mins walk. 7-10 min walk to metro and just three stops away from Sultan Ahmet... Bought a travel card and just topped it as required. Got onto the Metro from Aturtuk airport to Laleli had a change at Zaitunborro then took tram straight to Laleli. 5 minute walk down to the hotel. Perfect location. Receptionists Zafer & Huseyin were excellent. Whenever we required anything they were also happy to help. Very friendly staff and Hikmet was also very helpful. - 355zoeb (2/5): Worst Hotel Possible! - Will never repeat a visit to this hotel. Although the desk staff were very pleasant, the housekeeping were very rude and forthright. We learnt the word “Yok” from them and later learnt it meant “NO” in turkish because that was the only answer provided to our enquiries. No toiletries, no coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms, no extra pillow, no ANYTHING!!! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD HOSPITALITY. Very outdated and sound-proofing in the rooms is non existent. I told my travel agent who booked us in this hotel not to recommend them anymore. Very very disappointing.

- rogercrookes2017 (6/5): Service fair, location good - Stayed in a twin room facing the mosque for 10 days at end of July/ beginning of August this year. The best part was being able to see the mosque. Room was not ready for 2 hours after it had been promised. Bed heads were loose in there fixings. Bedside table drawers did not work. Carpets stained and had cigarette burns. Window had finger prints that were never cleaned. Towels were changed ever day but sometimes either a towel or bath mat would not be there. Decoration is really outdated and dowdy. Reception staff were brilliant and good fun. The dining room staff need to be taught conversation skills. The dining room manager always looked and acted as if she had the problems of the world on her shoulders. She would never greet people but chose to obviously to ignore them. The hotel should be declassified to no more than a 3 star.The location is excellent with trams and buses outside the door. Walking is a must as everything is so easy to reach.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Buen hotel, necesita renovación. - El hotel está muy bien ubicado, a 15 minutos a pie de Sultanhamed, a 2 minuto de la estación de tranvía de Laleli y a 5 minutos de la estación de metro de Salkantay. El desayuno era muy completo, aunque el jugo de naranja era terrible (una especie de tang reconcentrado). El personal del restaurante no era muy simpático. La habitación es pequeña, pero está limpia y muy completa. La cama es cómoda. Suficiente para descansar después de un día de turismo. Las instalaciones están un poco viejas. En nuestra habitación la tarjeta tenía un mal contacto y hacia que la instalación eléctrica de la habitación saltara. Las tarjetas llave se desprogramaban frecuentemente. El personal de recepción era correcto. El botones de noche y el recepcionista de día eran muy simpáticos. Los demás, simplemente correctos. EL spa estaba bien, pero el agua de la piscina estaba un poco fría para la época (noviembre). El baño turco y el sauna estaban a pleno funcionamiento y se podía entrar por estar en la habitación.

- Arthur (8/5): Our impression - The room was comfortable though small. The view from the window looked out over the cooling fans at the rear of the hotel. The indoor cooling for the room was not activated. With the window open to cool down the room, there was no noise except for the early morning prayer. However the kitchens were also below so breakfast preparation smells also entered the room. In particular the breakfast had plenty of choice and the swimming pool and sauna were particularly good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The tramway stop is only a few minutes walk from the hotel and the general area around the hotel has lots of discount shops and there is a nearby outdoor market.
- jadir (2/5): very bad hotel,,,, very aggressive manager - I was with my wife and two small children we are receiving small rooms Although we have completed a lot of money, Outside the weather was rainy but not cold, but inside the room was very hot. Hotel maintains a central air conditioner is powered heating or cooling can run only in the summer. They happened because the air conditioner was turned off to save money. Every 5 minutes I'm calling to RECEPTION to trigger the air conditioning to cool, kept telling me after five minutes but in the end do not start anything. At the end I went to talk to the manager, told me straight you can take your family and go to another hotel. I mythic shocked his speech. I told him why? what did I do to you ? He told me You Arabs always have arguments. He wanted to hit me, I realized that it was Pioneer level of his speech. I was afraid if I leave I will not return the money, and kept the rest for 3 nights with no air conditioning and the room was very hot issue that my child had asthma and could not breathe. In addition, the hotel is very, very noisy, pens making noise all the hotel hears the noise, but one could not speak because everyone is afraid of this manager. I do not recommend this hotel. Some of the staff were nice but the manager was very aggressive and shouted at us and wanted to beat us even despite I spoke to very nice. Do not go to this hotel even for free. The hotel is very small barely lifting his 0-star hotel.

But I never used it. receptionist should be more tolerable. They are insisting to vacate the room maximum at 1pm. although hotel was not full. Guest brings many guest. guests advice for some people if they are satisfied. Hotel manager shouldn't have consider as one guest only. Respect understanding and tolerance if there is any possibility will bring more guests. Rooms decoration good. Room sevice very good and satisfied Servant in breakfast hall nice and very helpfull. Receptionist Mr. Nimo also nice gentlman helpful but as being receptionist should be more tolerable. Because he is the person facing all requests or complain. thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5): Wasn't the best........ - Check in went all smoothly an the staff where friendly. However... Location isn't ideal - It still is walking distance to the Grand bazaar and the mosque, but just a little bit too much too do for 5 days. The room has a window but it opened to the centre of the building, so natural light and limited privacy. We had a large family in the 2 rooms next door who where loud every single night, so there wasn't much sound proofing. Might be because they left there doors open. Pool, sauna and gym times are TERRIBLE - Pool and gym don't open til 12 PM, and the sauna 6 PM. Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast but was not fresh unless you get there very first thing in the morning.
- Verified traveler (6/5): I expected more - There are several points to mention: 1) The internet is terrible cause it will disconnect automatically after several minutes if you don't use it. So if you use internet a lot this is not your place. 2) I asked the reception how can I go to some place after I checked out and he gave me a very wrong address and I was almost lost in the city!!! 3) The place is near old and historical part of Stanbul but I think you don't have to stay at this neighborhood. It is better to stay at a hotel in asian part of city which is more modern and safe (somewhere atound Taghsim square maybe) and go to this neighborhood in day and go out around your hotel at night.

- Carrots (8/5): Great Hotel!!! - The best thing about this hotel is the location! Located in Laleli right across from the Mosque, it is right on the Tram line and within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar. The room was small, but clean and very nice. Breakfast was very nice as well. The Hotel service was outstanding and the proprietors speak very good English. They were not pushy at all about local tours, and helped us get everything we need. The neighbourhood is very safe and we felt comfortable walking around the area.

- jmf (4/5): Time hotel is not what you see - The time hotel was not to our expectation of a four star hotel, the beds were rough and hard with a towel-like blanket for comfort. The location was center of the town but its adjacent to the mosque that's an early wake up call for those who not use to it. The bathroom was a nightmare. there was mold on the walls of the shower. Aside from that its close to the city and to a tram station that can take you anywhere to the city . Also the staff of the hotel was nice and helping .

- Mengdi (10/5): The Time hotel - We enjoyed our stay at the time hotel Istanbul. The location is good as it is close to the attractions, nearly 15 mins walk to the blue mosque. The room is clean and the staff are nice and helpful. The only downside is that sometimes the Internet is not working so well.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Impressed!!! - The hotel met all expectations and the staff surpassed all expectations!! Clean room and friendly staff!!! It was a little noisy, if room is on the front street side, but the overall location makes up for any street noise. It is a ten minute walk to most things of interest in the Old City ( Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, etc.). The rate for the room with breakfast included is a great bargain. Receptionist and management speak English and go the extra mile to give you preferred service.
