- Melissa (8/5): - Location was in the city, easy access to different motorways to Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast. Close to pubs/bars/eateries, quick mart downstairs which was very handy. Parking building right next door so easy access in and out of the building. Great having a washing machine and dryer. A tad noisy when the sliding doors are open but to be expected in the city. Carpet in lounge needed a clean and the lounge seating was worn. No vaccum provided and a couple of dirty bowls/broken cup in the cupboard.

Very disappointing and poor service to cancel on the morning of arrival and then we were given accommodation at another hotel who put us in a room where the views were a block of vacant land with weeds growing everywhere. This reflects very poorly on your business because I booked my accommodation through booking.com hoping you would be able to find good accommodation. All of the above

24 hour store neat reception. Our room had no hot water. The shower was cold and had to boil jug to wash up.
Don't know what that was about and luckily summertime.
State of carpets. Too many spills and stained with who knows what. Very grotty and unappealing.

Convenience in transportation as near bus and train station. Near to eatery and shopping. Bed was excellent. Very comfortable. Unit was clean and had the required basic amenities. Excellent service received from Staff Zach(on 25/12 around 4pm). Help sent our stored luggage to room. He is friendly and make our stay that much better. WI-FI was terrible. Keep dropping off. No point having internet TV if cannot connect. No dinning table/chairs for dinning even for a 2 bedrooms unit. Only small coffee table in living room. Balcony has small table with 2 chairs.

- Tamara (8/5): Great central location close to everything the city has to offer - Great central location, we were attending a concert at Riverstage, so easy walk to the venue as well as plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Staff were lovely and efficient. You do need to pay for parking, but that’s pretty common in the city. Room was good, clean and great air conditioning. Only negatives- if you like a dark room bring an eye mask, there is a frosted glass panel in the bedroom that doesn’t have a blind, so lots of light early in the morning. Also there was horrible smell in the lobby area, like rotting garbage, that didn’t go away. No big deal if you’re just walking through, but I did feel for the poor staff who were stuck there with that smell day and night.
- Holly (7/5): - Location was great. There was enough space in the apartment for two people. It would be very tight for 3 or more. There was also long-term, noisy construction work occurring on the street below on a new public transport station from 8pm to 6.30am each night. This is not within the control of the property, however I don't think I would have paid full price for this hotel had I known about it.
Additionally, the blinds in the room don't block out much light. It was very bright in the rooms on the 23rd floor when the sun rose at 5am, so in all we didn't get a lot of restful sleep at this property.

No dish washing liquid provided and the handwash in the bathroom was empty, with lotion in the shower rather than body wash.
The bedside tables were dirty.

Dean was our booking member and even gave me pin point directions to get there. Highly recommended. There was nothing I didn’t like.

Carpark was exceptionally well kept and very clean, finding a park was easy. Bed would have been comfortable if not for the "roll together aspect", other reception staff between our check-in/out did not appear to be very approachable, it was very rare to receive a greeting, not even a nod of the head if eye contact was made. I understand that it would be difficult to acknowledge everyone in a busy reception, but a friendly smile or head nod can go a long way. On leaving, the dishwasher would not turn on and in fact had no power to it, looked as if it had been the same for previous guests as the dishwash powder was still dry in the compartment, I did report this to reception.

Location of room, ease of access to parking and surrounding amenities makes this a great central option in the CBD.

- Alan (9/5): We would stay at Mantra Midtown again. - Location was ideal to attend a family wedding in the area, the check in person (Will) when we arrived was very nice, helpful and accommodating to get us to a different floor from where our room was, to see family members. Our room (1bdrm apartment) was compact but comfortable, very clean, and perfectly adequate for what we needed.
The Stock Exchange Hotel (a very short walk up the road) was great for a good meal and to watch some sport, Coffee Club over the road was ideal for breakfast, and the street being one way made it very easy to cross for elderly family members who stayed with us in the same complex.
The carpark was exceptionally clean at all times, and there was no difficulty finding a park, even on Friday and Saturday evening. Apart from Will, who checked us into our room, other staff on the front desk rarely even made eye contact when we walked through, when they did there was no greeting or even a slight smile, as it is a very busy entry way with people coming and going all the time I can understand them not acknowledging everyone that passes by, but a nod of the head, smile, or good morning/afternoon/evening is not difficult when you have actually made eye contact, or have been greeted in a similar way by guests.
Unfortunately, the bed in our room had the dreaded "roll together" issue but was otherwise comfortable. Elderly relatives in a different apartment said their beds were very comfortable.
Lighting is very dim, brighter lights would make a huge difference. I wouldn't like to read, knit etc. as it would cause severe eye strain, even trying to locate items in a handbag was difficult without pulling everything out (yes, I know all about womens handbags, but the handbag I use when travelling, and on this occasion, is not typical!). There is a spotlight of sorts, but it is quite large and tucked away in an out of the way corner.
The facilities overall were very good, but when I tried to turn the dishwasher on as we left (the only time I tried to use it as we hand washed the few dishes we used) there was no power to it and the plate racks were broken, this has been reported to the desk staff.
- Gabrielle (2/5): Would absolutely not recommend! - Convenient location. Clean elevator. We were disappointed with our experience at M on Mary in Brisbane. Just four hours before check-in, we were informed that our originally booked apartment was unavailable, and we were reassigned to this property instead. Additionally, despite our original booking including free parking, we were told no parking was available and had to pay $36 at a nearby parking station.
The apartment itself was underwhelming. The room felt drab, outdated, and poorly maintained, with a depressing atmosphere. The bathroom was particularly disappointing, featuring dated fixtures, a glass shower screen that didn’t close properly—causing water to leak onto the floor—and visibly unclean glass and chrome tapware. The bedroom was equally frustrating, equipped with only one bedside table and one bedside light, which was inconvenient for two people who enjoy reading at night. The dining table was old, wobbly, and in poor condition.
For $399 per night, we expected far better quality. By comparison, we recently stayed at a five-star hotel in Sydney for $360 per night, which offered a luxurious bathroom, pristine amenities, stunning views of the Opera House and harbor, and excellent bedside lighting. This experience at M on Mary felt more like a two-star stay and fell well short of our expectations.
