Guest Reviews
- Alegria Ortiz (10/5): - Everything is good
- Alegria Ortiz (10/5): - Very good
- Alegria Ortiz (10/5): - Fantastic
- ToiYoshi (4/5): - The staff was somewhat helpful For the amount of money that was spent we should have had a better space we should not have had to constantly call for maintenance to come up and fix electrical issues or things not working properly sockets in the room or things not even being in the room you having to go downstairs if two people are checking into the room you should receive two keys at check-in not just one
- Jessica (8/5): - It was close to The Wintern theatre. The room was comfortable, big and had air conditioner. Didn’t offer breakfast. The shower drainage was clogged.
- Johnned (10/5): - The location and the staff Absolutely nothing
- Sunhee (6/5): -
- Monica (7/5): - Location! Very close to the Wiltern The AC didn’t work, and no iron provided
- Molli (10/5): -
- Jenny (10/5): - Love that it was close tonour venue we went to see concert. Everything was with in walking distance the holiday decorations were really nice. It was good overall

- Minyong (8/5): It was a good value. - Price and location Old
- Ferdinand (8/5): - Location is accessible to public transport No free breakfast.
- desiree (9/5): -
- Ingrid (3/5): - I like that. They had the grocery store with a little bit of everything. Across the street.
And the restaurant downstairs There was no microwave in the rooms and you had yo bring your food down for them to warm or up.
You had to ask for iron and the ironing board.
There was no closet door for your clothes. Everything was out in the open.
I felt that the title of the hotel was misleading. As it's named garden suites hotel and resort, there was no pool or spa area. Nothing that would lead to it being a resort.
The housekeeping in the mornings if you slept in slamming doors because the walls are very thin, not giving regards to people that might have stayed in their hotel.
- Marilyn (4/5): So disappointing we checked out after one night of a two night stay. - No restaurant facilities were available.
The new manager was extremely pleasant. He did offer to upgrade us but we had made alternative arrangements.
I believe he will make changes for the better to the hotel which is in a great location in Koreatown and he was extremely earnest in his apologies to us The lobby and entrance are extremely well presented but the rooms were in need of a thorough update and redecoration.
The furniture was broken and or jaded/mismatched.
We moved room as the draw front was hanging off and the bedside lamp did not work in the first room allocated to us.
The second one had mug stained furniture and the window let in rain.
The mattress was lumpy
- Nakazawa (8/5): -
- Janet (8/5): Perfect ! - Very clean That we couldn’t stay longer
- Izzy (6/5): - The hotel was Goode just needs so update
- Sandberg (3/5): Doable for this occasion, but will probably not return - Conveniently located to the concert venue The rooms could’ve been better appointed, upgrade the televisions etc
- Vichare (2/5): -
- Judith (10/5): - clean room and comfortable bed.
- Carlos (9/5): -
- Jessica (8/5): - Room was clean and comfortable but the beds were so loud just from basic movement during sleep. Loved the blackout curtains and very walkable. We were only in LA for a quick overnight stay so it definitely got the job done. Enjoyed the $10 parking rate and affordable night rate! Cute little place to eat inside but I didn’t have time to check it out. Would stay again but with ear plugs
- Andrea Michelle (6/5): - Nice bar in lobby lobby is nice, rooms are clean and updated with no carpets, but with the furtinure from a motel 7
- Trent (10/5): - Nice room
- Gloria (10/5): - The cafe was definitely a nice touch to the hotel! 10/10
- Grace (8/5): - Staff was SUPER nice!
- Tom (4/5): - Parking charge $10 extra. Even you are customer. Wow.

- Reinalda (10/5): - last minute stay for my trip. Location is busy but very easy to catch a lyft, waymo and is very close to the metro lines! parking is underneath the building and very safe. Room was a bit different from the photos but i believe it was renovated since it looked much nicer! Staff was also very kind :) I recommend staying here!
- Maria (2/5): - Terrible!!
- Kim (10/5): Great hotel, great location. - Last minute stay for us. This was a great location and a beautiful hotel and an easy Uber/Lyft to do nightlife things. The room was immaculate, beds were cozy, and the parking garage was big enough to find easy, safe parking. There’s also a grocery store across the street, which was very convenient!
- Amy (8/5): -
- Colleen (10/5): Wiltern theater room hot tip - Nice hotel. Restaurant food was excellent. Service is great. Would definitely stay there again. Conveniently located directly across the street from the Wiltern theater, which is why we chose it.
- Juanjose (10/5): - Great
- Karina (10/5): - The hotel is over clean and it doesn’t have the nasty old hotel smell although it is old. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Parking is very convenient, I will definitely stay again.
- Aldo (10/5): - Room was clean, stuff was friendly, facilities in fair condition, fair price.
- Rosa (10/5): - Just what we needed, very clean and convenient. We'll be back
- Ernestina (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Johanna (10/5): - The front desk waa so helpful and very kind its always a great stay
- Kathleen (10/5): - I have to travel to Los Angeles twice a month, sometimes once a month. This hotel is a hidden gem within the hidden gem that is Koreatown.
The food at the restaurant was amazing. The staff was lovely. I look forward to coming back.
- Helena (8/5): - No coffee machine
No conditioner
No microwave
Need to go out for coffee if u don’t have cash in am
- Kendi (10/5): - Perfect for shopping !
- Gabriel (6/5): Small but nice - The hotel was surprisingly nice, especially given the area, which was a pleasant shock. The room itself was incredibly small, with barely 2 feet of clearance on three of four walls—a tight squeeze through a short hallway to the restroom. The pillow covers were tarnished and dirty, which was disappointing, but overall, everything else was kept clean. The bed tilted oddly when sitting on the corner, yet it was still comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. It’s manageable for just one night if you're heading to a show at the Wiltern, but I definitely wouldn’t want to stay longer. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which was a comforting touch in such a cramped space.
- Melissa (2/5): - The room was hot when we entered because the air conditioner was off, when we turned it on, the bottom latch opened and large chunks of blackened, wet residue fell out and onto my bed. The tv was unplugged and took nearly 30 minutes to boot up, and the remote control was covered in a very sticky substance. The room was not very clean and came with little to no amenities. The beds were very uncomfortable as were the pillows, resulting a tiring, restless night for me. Beware of the surrounding areas of the hotel, very dirty with heaps of trash. Just overall not satisfactory. Very disappointing, I will never make the mistake of staying here again.
- Aldo (8/5): - Excellent service. Accommodations were outdated and somewhat uncomfortable. Area was dirty and were homeless people around .
- Isaac (8/5): - It’s a solid stay! Rooms are nice
- Germán (10/5): - Las instalaciones y ubicación
- Daniele (6/5): - Front desk staff were less than welcoming, television and phone in our room worked only sporadically. Café is nice, food and drinks were good. Proximity to the Wiltern was the reason we decided to stay here and it worked out great.
- Cheyanne (10/5): -
- EDITH (8/5): - very near to my office location and transportation is not a problem
- Jeong sun (4/5): -
- marissa (2/5): Budget friendly - The rooms were clearly run down, reminded me of Motel 6 back in 1980s. However the staff was amazing, very sweet security made sure we made it across the street to the grocery store and back safely.
- Juan (10/5): - Very good service
- Mae (10/5): - Lovely place to stay.
- Sarisa (8/5): My son wanted to hangout in Korea town for his 11th birthday and that’s why I decided to stay in the suite. - There was a elegant restaurant inside the hotel. N/A
- Kelly (7/5): Good -
- Salvador (10/5): - Great staff, very friendly
- Ava (10/5): - Great inexpensive hotel with helpful staff and clean rooms. Also, allows for quick access to public transportation with a train station 1 block away and multiple bus stops all around the area.
- Matthew (10/5): - Thank you so much we had a great time and the property was clean and well kept.
- Daniel (8/5): - This place is surprisingly nice although it’s older. The restaurant is small but the food is pretty good and the service isfriendly.
- Charlie (8/5): - It’s pretty good
- Phalos (10/5): - Great location to stay if going to a show at the Wiltern theater. Clean grounds and courteous staff. The restaurant is EXCELLENT. Try the banana latte with espresso!
- Marco (10/5): - Walking distance to The Wiltern.
- woo (10/5): - Good location !
- Margarita (8/5): - I appreciate the location of this hotel and how convenient parking was. I think a little outdated and the smell was not bad, but it could improve on the scent.
Staff was friendly and the restaurant in the lobby was a plus for me and my travel friends. I will definitely stay here again.
- Keyana (4/5): - Building is very old but renovated.
- Mitch (10/5): Exceptional -
- woo (10/5): - Location!
- Stephanie (8/5): - Entrance and lobby were nice.
Parking garage too limiting with taller vehicles.
Rooms were a little outdated and old.
Felt like the rooms could have been presented nicer.
Restrooms needed to have better lighting and dual sinks and lid for the toilet seat.
- Michael (6/5): - no food and beverage till after 11am. Hotel needs a good cleaning. Vehicle alarm in first night went off twice on first night. Wall and shared door " THIN " On second night, found one adult roach on desk. Turned it in on morning, no call from MGR. Elevator need tune-up
- Seng (8/5): - Easy acc6to public transportation.
- Lorin (9/5): Superb -
- Gerardo (10/5): - Always a good stay
- Maglinte (6/5): Pleasant - Near to koreatown My view was blocked by the building
- Thomas (10/5): Beautiful. Be careful outside. - Beautiful hotel, great service... Scary neighborhood.
- Jacquelin (10/5): - Ok
- Shine (10/5): - I was traveling with my mom, it was just good location for korea town
- Jongheon (8/5): - Located in the city. Lots place to see and eat.
- France-Luce (6/5): - Room was okay. It was clean and bed comfy. But I missed not having coffe maker in the room. Also phone didnt work so I couldntcall front desk. TV didn't work eitger.
- christian (6/5): - Ok
- Samantha (6/5): - It was a decent stay, the only thing that was a downfall was the fact that the air conditioning didn’t work.
- Vahagn (10/5): - Good
- CLARIBEL (6/5): - AC sucks !
- Lisa (6/5): - I arrived late many needed water real bad. I did not know where to get drinking water - I hoped there was some in the refrigerator, but not.
The shower did not get hot enough to keep me warm.
Staff was friendly. Space was clean. Sadly the restaurant was not open for breakfast, but we walked 5 minutes to find a delicious breakfast.
- Joon (6/5): - The hotel is conveniently located near great dining options. However, the noise level is high, the bed is uncomfortable, and the elevator is too slow.
- Rafael (1/5): Bad -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay. - Hotel and location was nice. Mattress was a bit hard.
- Misty (8/5): Ehhh. Does the job. .BYOP! - Stayed her for convenience for a show at the Wiltern as well as to Universal Studios. It’s great for that, and if you’re not going to stay in the room for long. The lobby was beautiful but the room was outdated and shabby. The mattress was sooo bad, firm, lumpy springs and the pillows were non-existent they were so flat. In the colder months I’d imagine their super thin cheap “blanket” if you can even call it that, would make you freeze. So bring your own pillow and blanket, we bought pillows. I’m actually surprised that our ac unit held up because it must have been an original from when the building was built, (1991) guess they skipped those during the 2005 renovation. Shower was nice, TV was sitting wonky and we weren’t able to turn it off with the remote, had to get up and push the button (no big d.) The dresser that the tv was mounted over, and the office table were gross dirty. Luckily I bring my own Lysol wipes, but after wiping them these stains were removable, this made me doubt cleanliness of the rest of the room and effectiveness of housekeeping. Over all, it’s alright and worth a low hundred/night. We did feel safe as they lock up tight after midnight. Including the garage. We came back after 2am a couple of nights and had to ask them to open the gate for us. Again, no big deal, and for the area I felt more comfortable that they did this.
- Rene (2/5): - staffs are mean
- Stephanie (4/5): - This hotel is absolute trash. The pictures are deceiving. The lobby and restaurant are beautiful but thats where it stops. The rooms are filthy
- Sam (4/5): Not even close to worth the price - Upon check in, I was double charged, I was not given a receipt and I was treated poorly when I questioned the charge. Though they finally refunded the extra charge, it was a Saturday so I was out $300 for my trip until the bank processed the refund. The room was unreasonably hot and stuffy. The remote for the air conditioner didn’t work and is the only way to control the temperature. When I asked for assistance with this, I was told to read the guide on the table. It took several hours just to get the remote replaced. Meanwhile, it was 85° in the room. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. We ended up leaving at 6am due to how uncomfortable we were between the temperature and the beds. The only upside was the distance from our event.
- Patricia (10/5): - Like the parking lot was close to the building, a lot of places nearby that you can go site seeing walking distance from the hotel.
