• Rianne (9/5): Fijn hotel - Levendige omgeving/hotel en zeer vriendelijk personeel! En ondanks dat er geen mogelijkheid was tot ontbijt bij te boeken was het een fijne verassing om te zien dat er wel een licht ontbijt/zelfservice mogelijk was. Parkeerplaats is een stukje lopen en kost een paar pond, is wel goed bereikbaar en groot maar openbaar en niet op privé terrein.

• Claire (2/5): Incredibly loud music from below, impossible to sleep til after midnight. - Staff were nice, checking in was no problem, room was clean. The room was right over the bar which had a live band playing til midnight. The volume was unbelievably loud. This really should be made clear at the point of booking, and it should be reflected in the price. Telling us when we arrive and providing cheap foam earplugs is simply not good enough.

• Markus (8/5): Für uns war das eine passende 1-Nacht-Station vor dem Start unserer Wanderung. Preis-/Leistung in Ordnung. Eher nich - Zentrale Lage. Nette Leute. Preis-/Leistung gut Zimmer oberhalb der Bar war Laut (gab Oropax gratis im Zimmer) und man roch das Essen der Küche.

• Raskolni (1/5): 6 qm Zimmer, - Nichts Von allen schlechten Hotels, in den ich während meiner Wanderung übernachtete, war dies mit Abstand das schlimmste. Das hier angebotene Zimmer war ca 6 qm groß, d.h. die Türe ließ sich nicht öffnen, weil das Bett ca 20 cm dahinter stand. DIe Zimmergröße , Die bei Booking.com angegeben ist, ist schlichtweg falsch bzw. gelogen. Im Zimmer ist maximal die Drehung um die eigene Achse möglich. Mehr Platz ist nicht vorhanden. Ähnlich eng und klein sind bad und Toilette. Hier wird besucht mit der letzten Besenkammer geld zu verdienen. Es grenzt schon an Betrug ein Zimmer, solcher Größe hier anzubieten, zum Preis von 100 Euro. Zwischen Bett und Fenster sind circa 5 cm Platz. Heizung ist noch dazwischen. Ein gesunder Schlaf vorprogrammiert. Eine Umbuchung war nicht möglich, weil angeblich alles ausgebucht sei In diesem Kaff mit Nichts , bei w Grad Celsius und Regen. Geld konnte , bzw. Wollte man mir nicht zurückerstattet, obwohl ich max 5 Minuten im Zimmer war. Länger hält man es nicht aus, fühlt sich an wie in einer Taucherglocke. Nicht kulant. In der Bar stehen ab 15 Uhr die Besoffenen, wie überall on diesem Land. 3 Sterne ist dort nichts. Die Sterne hat man sich entweder selbst verliehen oder irgendwo gekauft. Der Tätowierte Typ, der verantwortlich war ist recht unsympathisch. Alles in Salem absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Nicht ohne Grund sind zu dem Zimmer keine Bilder angegeben. Finger weg und lieber in Spanien Urlaub machen

There is a help yourself continental breakfast which suited us perfectly. Room was clean & very comfortable. Would highly recommend, it was our third time staying & we will be back again.

Parkplatz perfekt um die Ecke gelegen. Super nettes Personal und in der Umgebung viel Freizeitangebote. See, Bootsverleih / Radverleih, süße kleine Stadt zum Bummeln und gar nicht weit weg auch Highland Rinder. Das Frühstück bot einem alles was man brauchte um gut in den Tag zu starten. Für jeden 'was dabei! Wir kommen wieder!!! Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden

Great idea of continental breakfast, help yourself until 1100. First night bar service was excellent. Second night was a bit slower with more staff on and not as busy.

• kay (8/5): A great place to stay i would recommend - The staff were great and very helpful. The room was nice and met our needs. The food was ok but the fish was mainly batter which was a shame.

• Chiara (10/5): Accoglienza scozzese - L'albergo e caldo e accogliente e la possibilità di cenare nel pub annesso è un'ottima cosa, soprattutto se fuori fa freddo e piove :) il cibo è ottimo, il personale gentile e molto spesso ci sono attività serali: il sabato ad esempio c'è sempre musica dal vivo. Consigliatissimo!

• Jane (9/5): Nice wee 🏨 - Stayed here twice before in 1st floor rooms which were great. Decided to treat myself to superior room but it wasn't as nice as the smaller rooms. it was big as spacious with a big ensuit. The hotel is right in middle of the town which was perfect. Bonus was free continental breakfast each day which I wasn't expecting..There was plenty choice and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good location for lovely walks. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was on 2nd floor and the only room up there. I felt quite isolated. There were sloping ceilings near bed and over the bath/shower where I hit my head several times. the room was pretty austere with no pictures or anything on the walls. A big round table with 4 wooden chairs in middle of room. I expect to fill the room a bit. But 4 chairs unnecessary in a double room. There was no chair suitable for sitting relaxing watching television. I would stay again but request a room on first floor.
• L (6/5): Comfortable room - service needs improved - Booked twin room for 6th September for my sister & I to stay after a day hill walking. Booked through Hotels.com & don't recall seeing any mention of live music in the bar on Saturdays. When we checked in at the bar around 4pm the young man kindly offered to take our bags to our room which was a lovely touch. He said we were last to check in. What he didn't tell us though was that our room (2) was directly above the bar so would be very noisy 9-midnight. Would have been nice to have known. We were also not asked if we planned to eat in the bar or told it was going to be busy or advised to book a table. Around 5pm we went to the bar for drinks. A couple came in to ask for a table for dinner. They were standing beside us & told the member of bar staff that they hadn't booked but they were given menus & shown to a table. My sister then asked the same bar staff member if we could get a table to eat. We were told no as they were full (there were several tables empty). We booked a table for 7.45pm elsewhere & remained in the bar for the next 1.5 hrs having drinks. In that time only 2 tables arrived. At times the 3 bar staff were just standing chatting or blowing up balloons for a birthday party which still hadn't arrived by the time we left. I've worked in hospitality for over 20 years & found this very disappointing in terms of service. The lady who we spoke to at breakfast was very nice and did apologise for the music.
