- Aliceelizam (10/5): Perfect getaway before the joys of Christmas with my new FiancĂŠ <3 - Wow, my partner and I were really taken back by the cleanliness and homely feel of the bedroom and bathroom. We adored the decor. The owner was soo lovely and down to earth. Honestly the perfect getaway before Christmas. Not much was open because of the time of year but we found a mobile kebab van which we took back to the room as the weather proved very stormy and bitter.
On the landing there was a mini fridge of alcoholic beverages and other various refreshments on offer which was a nice touch for our stay. Of course there's tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom was spotless and inviting. We honestly cant fault anything and as well as recommending others, we are considering staying there again in the near future. I honestly cant think of anything that didn't meet our expectations.

Great beds, lovely sheets and lovely bathrooms.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (10/5): A gem! - Bridge House is a gem. A cafe by day serving home-made 'proper good food' there are 3 recently refurbished B&B rooms attached. Our room was spotlessly clean and stylishly appointed with a very comfortable bed, bespoke furniture, quality toiletries in the bathroom and a selection of teas, filter coffee and fresh milk in the room. We hadn't made a reservation for dinner locally but Caroline kindly allowed us to eat our take away from the (excellent) gastropub across the road in the cosy breakfast/sitting room. Breakfast was very good indeed! We were given a big jug of freshly squeezed orange juice, a bottle of apple juice and very good coffee while we chose from the menu which was varied and interesting with lots of options for vegetarians too. Caroline was an excellent host and Nigel a fabulous baker. In summary the best B&B I have stayed in.
- Tanya (9/5): Superb - Hospitality excellent. Breakfast choices exceptional. Decor throughout would not shame Homes and Gardens, bed high quality and comfortable. The only (v minor) issue for me was the parking is across the road in a small public car park. I had a dog with me that had to be left in the car. Carolyn kindly let me park in front of their garage, so at least my dog was away from public view.
- Alice (10/5): Lovely B&B with an amazing host - Amazing host, lovely room which is decorated immaculately. Beautiful toiletries and a great location opposite The Swan pub which has good food. Unfortunately we ended up driving back due to a poorly relative so didnât experience the bed or breakfast but Caroline was extremely kind and the place is lovely.
- Graham (10/5): lovely place - clean and comfortable, friendly staff Nothing
- Georgina (10/5): just lovely, would highly recommend - lovely , clean comfortable place

- Alicia (10/5): A real gem of a B&B - A real gem of a b&b - everything was perfect. I loved the decor of my room - cosy but with contemporary touches. Caroline was a perfect host, welcoming me with a complimentary cream tea, it felt like a home from home. The breakfasts were varied and very tasty with home made bread and good coffee. A must visit if youâre in the area!

- Fran (10/5): - Beautiful Hotel, very clean, very comfy beds, lovely proprietors, really friendly, almost a home from home. I couldn't be happier with my stay & would be really happy to return. Breakfast was wonderful too!
- Ellie (10/5): - Very friendly, relaxed and helpful. Beautiful room and amenities.
- John (8/5): - Strayed just one night en route return home after week in West Country. Very comfortable, excellent food. Bedroo had plenty of space -just would have liked two armchairs for us to sit on rather than just one provided. .
- Karen (10/5): Amazing - Fantastic stay, amazing hospitality from the moment we arrived Caroline welcomed us with cream tea. High standards throughout, beautiful decor. We really couldn't have asked for more.
- DawnieC (8/5): Pleasant character hotel - The hotel is an old building so the floors and walls are not level so not all the doors closed properly. This wasn't an issue and added to the character of the place. Everything was tidy and clean. The people who ran it were lovely. They were helpful and very pleasant. We only had breakfast there but there was a good choice and it was nicely cooked. The bed was harder than our bed but you can't please everyone.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Rural retreat - fabulous breakfast
- Today Translations Ltd (6/5): Escape to remote, picturesque Devon for a wedding - Super breakfast, warm, comfy room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Flott sted, personlig og litt trangt. - Det er et gammelt hotell, med mye historikk. Velstelt og hyggelig atmosfĂŚre.
- Glen (10/5): Seriously 5 out of 5 - This quaint little hotel is fantastic; it's a beautiful hotel with a cosy little dining room, cute little bar and really nice beer garden.
The owners were really friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the room was great. Bathroom had a shower with a power shower and nice hot water. I really couldn't name one bad thing about this hotel.
I'd definitely recommend it and will be back next year for next years half ironman at Wimbleball lake - on that note the owners left out breakfast for us so that it was available for us at 3am when we needed it, thank you again.
