- Jacqueline (10/5): - A great 2 night getaway. Room was big and bed was really comfortable. Had walk-in shower. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room we had a lovely continental breakfast each morning (plenty of choice-toast / cereals / pastries/ ham& cheese etc ). Had a warm welcome from the owners who checked we had everything we needed. There are 2 pubs around 1.5 miles away which did excellent food. We weren't too far from the nature reserve and a few miles to beaches.
- Bradley (10/5): Always a lovely stay - I always stay at The Barn B&B every time I come to visit my family and friends in South Wales. The bedrooms are always clean, very comfortable and the owners are very helpful and accommodating. They also sell homemade honey which is very reasonably priced and tastes delicious!

- Alan (10/5): - The best customer service i have received in my (not short) life. Gavin went way beyond good in that he drove to me when i was lost and my navigation not working, following which he then took me to the shops in his car in the dark and rain so as i could eat!

- Mark (10/5): - Passing through the area so ideal stop off.
- Diane (10/5): - Beautiful restorations of an old 1700's abbey farm barn. Property managers living on site deserve positive comments on their stunning restorations. Room and breakfast were charming in decoration and quality presentation
- Pamela (10/5): Would be more than happy to stay there again. - A lovely, comfortable online find, at a reasonable price. All facilities were present, including those in the kitchen to store and prepare one's own food, if preferring to eat the B&B, sometimes, instead of dining elsewhere.
Nice continental breakfast for all. Clean and friendly service. Good parking and B&B location is within a reasonable drive to nearby local towns, shops and attractions.
- Andy (10/5): - Lovely place to stop
Excellent farm building conversion
Ideal location and friendly place
Would recommend to anyone

- Stephen (10/5): Family Biking Weekend - Weekend mountain biking
- Mike (8/5): - Lovely accommodation in a quiet area providing a good night's sleep. Could have used more options when it came to breakfast.
- Jann (10/5): Great home from home x - Just what we needed a lovely evening away with a nice continental breakfast to top it
- stephen (10/5): - All excellent thank you
- Joanne (10/5): Very happy - This was a very last minute booking, I just stayed at the barn for one night and was very pleased with my choice. There was a very warm welcome from Barbara, the room was beautiful, warm, clean Cody and had everything I could’ve need. I unfortunately slept in a little too late the next day so missed breakfast, it did sound wonderful with plenty of choice.
- Sheila (10/5): - Very nice family room, we felt right at home immediately. Phil was pleasant and informative. Took a nice walk around the grounds, discovered the chickens and goats. Clean, highly recommended.
- Susan (10/5): - I liked the informality. That the dining area was also a kitchen we could use. There were was a comfy communal sitting area with tv. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and just worked. Check in and out was quick and easy. I also liked that there was breakfast included for the bargain price of the room. Ok it was only continental but was sufficient.
- karen (10/5): - lovely!
- Carl (10/5): Best B&B in Wales - Best place I’ve ever stayed in. The owners and staff are very accommodating and helpful
- Debbie (10/5): Just wonderful 😍 - Just delightful, one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in. Peaceful, lovely host, and an abundance of continental breakfast options. Would definitely recommend it 👍
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay - Clean, quiet room. Owner was very friendly and accommodating
- Sean (10/5): - very friendly and helpful
- Duncan (10/5): - Great room and location with nearby nature reserve, beach and park with castle and go ape
- Iain (10/5): Very nice stay - Very friendly clean and comfortable stay with friendly hosts, great breakfast DIY but very nice choice of cereals, porridge, toasts, jams fruit and juices coffee etc
- Amanda (10/5): Fab! - Loved my 2 night stay, room was very nice and the whole experience was first class
- stephen (10/5): - Excellent thank you
- Ian (10/5): Perfect stopover south Wales - Outstanding value for money, lovely & quiet, comfortable/clean, couldn't be better!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would recommend - Couldn’t fault the B&B facilities and service. And if was fantastic to be able to get s single room. The room was entirely true to the website photos. The owners have put much hard work and pride into sympathetic restoration/redesign/ development of the Barn whilst being most respectful to reducing impact of the building works and daily business on the environment.
The only downside to my stay was that my sleep was disturbed by some traffic noise which appeared to be - mostly - the same car (with very loud exhaust) several times during the night. To be fair, I am a light sleeper and there is nothing the owners could have done to improve this.
- Michelle (10/5): - Was a lovely place to stay very friendly host.
- Jean-Bernard (10/5): - We had a great stay. Very nice property and amazingly welcoming owners.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room very small and very hot in recent weather. As covid apparently could not clean room or cook breakfast which we found strange as this was the third place we had stayed and all the other places had maintained rooms and cooked breakfast. Breakfast was therefore minimal - a pack of cereal, piece of fruit, croissant, juice and tea which you got yourself ! Cobwebs in room and shower just soaked the floor over the edge of the bath. Worse thing was the noise from the lorries to the local industrial site which run ALL NIGHT. Apparently there is a new Amazon delivery site and the lorrries ran RIGHT BELOW the window to the room we stayed in. Very loud and just did not stop at all throughout the night. No peace and quiet so definitely do not stay here if you want to sleep. Such a shame and probably no reviews have mentioned it as the issue is quite new. Sorry but for this reason I would not return.
- Vivienne (8/5): The Barn b&b - Due to the pandemic, the breakfast was a disappointment as a continental breakfast was offered instead of a cooked breakfast. Otherwise it was a nice break and plenty to do around the area, although Margam castle was closed - another thing due to the pandemic.
- Carl (10/5): - As always, Phil made me feel at home. My room was spotless and well stocked with tea & coffee. The breakfast was covid friendly and very adequate.
- Timothy (10/5): B&B with character and warmth - Excellent stay, gorgeous stone wall, beamed roof family room with a reading nook outside (photo). Fantastic welcome, super helpful with local food options and good breakfast, 10/10 recommend
- Jude (10/5): - Lovely bedroom accommodation- good quality bedding... tasty breakfast- - would definitely come back perhaps to stay In cottages... thank you
- Munyaradzi (10/5): Charming lovely place - The absolutely best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time! The room was stunning, the staff very charming, even the breakfast was great.
I would recommend this place to every body A***
- Rob (10/5): One night in Port Talbot - Warm and comfortable, great wi-fi, all facilities were there. Wind blowing a gale and rain lashing down but due to thick stone walls all was warm and quiet within.
In the morning an excellent choice of breakfast too
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet idyll - Very comfortable. We were made very welcome. I would recommend a stay.
- Stephen (10/5): - Briliant
- john (8/5): Bed too soft - Awesome bar the bed. I’ve never slept on such a soft mattress
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely family run B&B, very clean and beautiful location!
- Carl (10/5): - Really pleasant guest house, very welcoming and lovely cooked breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner was very accommodating to a late check in time. Beautiful property and comfortable room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Like all locations in the UK, the lack of an physical address (i.e., street number reflecting where the lodging is located causes the customer to " literally" "ask people" where the lodging is physically located. At the Barn B&B, this task took about an extra 90 minutes and was completely dependent on finding someone outside nearby who knew where the lodging was physically located. I lucked out and stopped a gate attendant who knew where the lodging was located, thus, gave me directions to get there.
Based on not having a "real physical address" to publish on their website, is probable due to the postal service in the UK forcing its people to travel to their local post office to secure their postal mail.
This problem could very well cause an expedia customer not to "ever" find their reserved lodging and, thus, request a legitimate refund for their payment to the lodging.
- K (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a lovely weekend stay at The Barn b & b.
Close to many lovely sights and beaches.
Rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was brilliant and the Hosts were a delight!
- Mark (10/5): A perfect stop over! - This is a wonderful self catering/ B&B venue in a great location, within easy reach of the M4 and Swansea, yet away from the hustle and bustle. It has ample, safe parking. I stayed in the B&B which was fabulous; it was comfortable, clean and had everything you'd expect from a higher priced hotel.
The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were really friendly and welcoming, without being too much.
I will definitely return. Thank you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely peaceful and characterfull room, and excellent breakfast. Lovely hosts
- Carl (10/5): - Really nice people, my room was a good size, clean and warm. Breakfast was lovely, very fresh and cooked just right.
- Lyn (10/5): - Lovely accommodation within a few miles of the event we were attending.
The room was quirky and everything you could wish for, provided.
Our only problem, was that the shower was extremely hot and the thermostat valve appeared to be stuck. Our host apologised, thanked us for letting him know, and promised to fix it asap.
Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice.
We would definitely stay here again!
- Carl (10/5): Brilliant breakfast - The best breakfast in Wales, really good local sausage & bacon with home laid eggs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with him. He is working on some expansions on his property that will add to the overall experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent B&B - Handy for the M4 and easy to find with Sat Nav. Room furnished to high standard with comfortable large bed. Good parking. Plentiful breakfast available. Can strongly recommend it.
- Alan (8/5): Business trip - Business trip with 1 night stay over, check in ok, room appearance good, bed comfortable, but TV did not work, owners away and business being run by relatives, breakfast good, but no VAT invoice as relative unsure how to print from computer and in his words"didn't want to break it
- Carl (10/5): - Brilliant B&B, peaceful and a great breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place friendly, clean and comfortable
- Carl (10/5): - Really friendly, nice clean accommodation and lovely breakfast.
- Martyn (10/5): - A lovely place to stay for a few days or longer
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay in a rural location - Lovely old building dating back to the 1300s. Very well restored using recycled materials wherever possible. Cosy and friendly.
- v12growler (10/5): Really homely - very nice people, made me feel welcome
- Deborah (10/5): Lovely accommodation - This is a delightful B&B. I stayed for work and wish I could have seen more of the locale but my accommodation was faultless. I would definitely come back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent clean hotel and great location!
Helpful staff
- Jenny (10/5): Awesome, you'll want to stay forever! - Though the address is for Port Talbot, the closest town is Margam and I certainly wished you had posted that. We spent some frustration on Water Street in Port Talbot - At a McDonald's! We finally were able to get some assistance and we were at our B & B in no time at all! This is a delightful Inn and I would stay there again and again! I really didn't want to leave.
- Fiona (10/5): Friendly and fabulous place to stay. - A trip to look for orchids at the nearby Kenfig Reserve.I had a very pleasant and comfortable 1 night stay at this lovely B+B close to the reserve.Everything good about it and I will definately stay here again whenever I am in the area.
- Cathryn (10/5): Lovely stay! - Wonderful hosts and a lovely room with a convenient location.
