• David (10/5): I enjoyed a nice relaxing stay - The breakfast was excellent with the option of alternatives to the standard breakfast. Only 5 minutes walk to the town centre. I liked having on site parking which very few places in Looe seem to have.

The room was lovely and spacious with everything required for a relaxing stay with regular cleaning and replenishment of tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk regularly delivered! High recommended and should I ever be in Looe again I would definitely revisit.

Very good breakfast with a good selection from the menu and really tasty homemade bread. Excellent hosts made it feel a bit special. The ‘gentle’ slope up from the centre of Looe! Being very picky the Wi-Fi was a bit flaky in our room and the shampoo/conditioner dispensers not being in shower was a bit odd.

The breakfast was awesome and had a good selection then Anne and Roger was so welcoming and friendly and made you feel so welcome will definitely be returning There is nothing that I didn't like

• Hazel (10/5): A fantastic place to stay. - Ralph and Ann were absolutely fantastic hosts and deserve a medal, for how well run everything is. You can't fault anything, the breakfast is great, wether you have the fry up or one of the specials, no matter what you have it's no extra cost, the way the breakfast is done is so lovely, with home made bread and jams ( which are in quaint jars ) the butter in a lovely dish, your orange juice on the table ready for you, no having to get up from the table for anything, Ann was there for anything you needed. The room was spacious very clean and comfortable, the variety of tea was great. The special touches that were so beautifully done, biscuits to tea coffee fresh milk , even a fan to keep you cool, made it a pleasure to stay.

• John (8/5): Good location - Cooked breakfasts were excellent, with a wide choice of menu. Tea was good and plentiful. Toast was good and the homemade preserves were excellent. All that was provided was of high quality - fluffy towels etc. The shower was good and easy to operate. Location was only a short walk to the bridge, giving easy walking access to both East and West Looe. Our Hosts were really friendly. The chairs in the room were fascinating but not very comfortable. We missed the option of fruit as a starter for breakfast.

Ralph and Annie are professionals in what they do and yet provide a friendly environment. Love Looe and nearby trips to Polperro, Fowey and Mevagissy. We didn’t mind but it’s a short 8 minute walk up a hill which some may not manage.

Good choice at breakfast.on site parking The walk up the hill from Looe to the lodge might be difficult for those who are not so mobile. Coded gate access to gain entry could be difficult especially at night and crossing a busy road from the other side on a blind bend to get to the gate a bit scary. Had to use torch on phone to see the numbers. Also more steps to get to the property. Full English breakfast bit of a disaster but had other good menu options for rest of stay.

The full English was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed it and the alternatives I tried. The owners were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location with all Looe attractions within walking distance. We drove there but didn't use the the car for getting around Cornwall because the train and bus services were within easy reach and inexpensive. Highly recommend Cherrywood Lodge and will be going back. We really enjoyed our stay at Cherrywood Lodge and can honestly say there is nothing more that I wanted or needed.

• Monica (3/5): Didn't feel comfortable with our hosts attitude and rules - The room was very clean. The freshly cooked breakfast was good quality produce We left early as felt like we were an inconvenience. Sadly the sarcastic comment when we asked for fresh towels was not appreciated even though there is a sign saying leave the towels in the bath ( shower ) if required to be changed but then told they were only usually changed every 2 days. The radiator wasn't on so the towels were completely wet after our shower, which we found to be on a timer mid shower due to the shower pumps they had to replace each year as customers were in the shower for too long. I've never stayed anywhere that I had to decide whether to wash my hair or shave my legs! We were told the toiletries / toilet rolls would be replaced when the room was checked but when we didn't get the toilet rolls and asked for them the following morning we were told we hadn't asked for them and basically accused of lying!. A knock on our bedroom door asking if we had a problem for the 2nd time ( the first time we were asked was at breakfast the first morning as we were quiet due to being tired from traffic noise at 5am) resulted in making us feel very uncomfortable as there was a distinct attitude and when we discussed checking the room we were then told it wouldn't be checked due to Covid. Such contradictions were just ridiculous so although the room was very clean when we arrived nothing was done before we left. Breakfast for the following morning had to be ordered before leaving the breakfast room, whether that was from the specials or just the general choice of full English or part thereof, but as we didn't realise it applied to the general choice we got the same as the day before without being asked. Cereals were available but unless you were quick to say you'd like some ( you couldn't get your own ), breakfast was served and the opportunity was gone. I will say the quality of the cooked breakfast was excellent, just a shame the way it was dealt with.
• Simon (10/5): Exceptional - We've been coming to Looe for the last 15 years and can honestly say Cherrywood Lodge is by far the best place we have stayed in. Location, immaculate rooms and a breakfast menu that has so many tasty options. Definitely will be returning next year.

• Rebecca (10/5): A fantastic stay ion a fabulous place and as a bonus the weather was stunning. - ***** The breakfast was amazing with a choice of traditional and a specials board which was a real treat. The location was central but quiet and just a 5 minute's walk from the town centre and all the amenities. The facilities were excellent and the owners were attentive and helpful. Just from a personal point of view I did not like the coffee sachets in the room. I do understand that you can not please everyone and it wasn't a problem as I picked up my favourite in town.

• Chloe (10/5): You won't regret booking - Brilliant location with parking which already makes the price worth it. The owners couldn't do more for you but aren't over bearing and the food was delicious. We will definitely be booking again!

• Jontip57 (8/5): A good stay with great hosts. - It was an interesting B&B and not as expected. Annie and her husband were really great and bent over backwards to to ensure we had a great and enjoyable stay. Breakfast was superb with an enormous choice catering for every pallete and hunger pain. A great set up for the day. There was private parking, which at times was tight, but far better than parking in the street. The room was really large and a good size comfortable bed. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a fridge which was really handy. Being disabled the owners provided me with another route to enter and exit the building which meant avoiding a staircase with bags etc and that made the stay more comfortable. Decor is personal, and we all have different tastes, but we struggled with the main lights in the bedroom as they had closed light-shades which threw the room in a dark red light. We both have cataracts and struggled with vision in the room. The large window helped but by 8pm it was almost dark, some may like red lighting but perhaps an option of white or red may help, with some white wall lights etc. The car park was tight but again my disability made it more difficult compared with most as I need to fully open my drivers door to enter/exit.
• Anderson (9/5): Superb - Annie and Ralph are very attentive to your needs and very friendly. Street noise, but it was intermittent and didn't let it dampen our spirits.
• Adrian (10/5): 2 wonderful & caring hosts - we loved every minute - they made us so welcome - breakfast was magnificent - Annie & Ralph could not have done more - they were adorable in every way!!! The whole experience was faultless = if you are in Looe - stay here!!!!!!
• Roamz101 (10/5): We LOVED our stay and will return 100% - Remi & Sam x - We instantly felt welcome and at home on arrival by our 2 excellent hosts Ralph and Annie. The rooms were very clean, Breakfast superb, manners and attention to each guest, outstanding. We felt extremely happy during our stay and would recommend this gem to our friends. There was no sign of rudeness or short temper from either host. They Catered to all guests needs during our stay. We loved the chilled vibe of the place and the 5 * breakfast, facilities, beds, pillows and duvets. Absolutely all needs or scenarios have been thought of in these rooms with even ear plugs for your wife if you're a snorer or needle and thread if you need to repair a button on your shirt. I have stayed in the Marriott, Hilton and other private hotels/B&Bs in the UK and around the world. This place outshines those in many ways, especially Ralph's amazing breakfasts and specials menu. All of the food is locally sourced from Cornish farms and family run shops. The Bacon and sausages in the full English are perfect. The homemade bread is lush and goes a treat with their homemade jams selections. The work Annie & Ralph put into this place speaks volumes for itself. The rooms have a good size fridge and beverage making facilities to make you feel even more at ease if traveling a distance with food for your trip. To top all of this off, the Hotel is secure and safe with large iron gates to keep you and your loved one/s safe. Nothing, it was perfect.
