- Susanna (8/5): - Själva boendet var toppen. Inte jättekul runtom vid Rawai Beach. Dock hade hotellet en minibuss som gick till Nai Harn Beach 2 ggr på förmiddagen och sedan även hämtning kl 17 som ingick varje dag. Den stranden var toppen och det tog endast 7-8 minuter att åka dit.

- _Q5410MI (6/5): Mixed imressions - Basically the place was fine, but furniture and linans need to be renoveted. We stay here fo 8 days and total coast for 11 persons was about 3800 USD. After check out it seemed to the staff that 3 towels were lost and they decided to check our luggage.

- 1alwaystraveling (8/5): Great bang for the buck, but don’t be misguided about closeness to the beach... - First, absolute great, happy, and pleasurable service! Room sizes are beyond big, and price point is amazing! Only problem is they keep just one gate open, and most GPS use the other for location, which is the entrance to the main mansion actually. Pool was beautiful, and gym well equipped. Breakfast was nothing special, but quickly served and hot! Only issue is it is about a 15 minute walk to Rawai beach, and most restaurants and other places. Not really close to the beachfront and you’ll need a vehicle to really get any where. Grounds are gorgeous, and for $60 a night with breakfast and wi-fi you really cannot complain. Recommended to families and people that want a slower paced, more private experience but are not limited by transportation budgets.

- Ronny (8/5): Flott hotell - Flott hotell og rommet var stort, ryddig og behagelig, men de kunne åpenbart lagt mer i frokosten. Vi endte opp med å spise den ute, med unntak av første dagen. Rawai strand er flott, men ikke egnet for bading - 5 min gange fra hotellet. Hotellet har shutte bus som kjører tur/ retur NAI harn som er en nydelig strand.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Phuket Experience - We decided on a last minute trip to Phuket for the CNY holiday. We found a Orbitz deal that brought us to Rawai Grand House. The Grand House is a selection of Villas from 1 to 3 bedroom. They were very clean and nice. The place could use a little up keep. The rooms and beds are slightly dated, but the overall stay was very good.

Olimme maksaneet viikon mutta lähdimme 2 päivää aiemmin koska oli sen verran huono kokemus. Plussaa oli että huone oli todella iso.

Although if nobody goes to the bar/order food the staff go home so then you are stranded with nothing to eat/drink Bit of a rubbish location and you can’t book any trips from the hotel as their English isn’t very good. All in all an ok hotel and worth the money

Vi var två familjer med små barn så rum med tre sovrum var perfekt så kunde vi sitta kvällena tillsammans efter barnet hade lagt sig. Toppen med gratis körning till nai harn strand! Till frukost fick vi välja vad som helst på menyn även som det står 200bath/person. Personalen var hjälpsamma! Skulle gärna åka tillbaka.
- stevewarr (10/5): Fantastic place huge new super clean rooms - This is a fantastic little hotel, with huge new well furnished rooms of 50 square meters each. Immaculately clean. The pool area is really nice to. Breakfast is all cooked fresh to order, and offers full English, American, and Thai. About five minutes walk to Rawai Beach, but a scooter comes in handy. Not great internet, but ok. Nice helpful staff, very good value at around 50euros.
- mandyg340 (8/5): Loved our stay here. - Rawai as an out of season resort has its plusses & staying at the rawai grand house is one of those plusses. Situated a 5 - 10mins walk from the waterfront - the walk is pleasant and on a good clean road with some small attractive eateries along the way. Breakfast at the rawai is taken by the pool and if you like fruit yogurt with muesli you will be very happy indeed, (saying that much though my partner wasn't that impressed with the other breakfast options ) The basic room is amazing - we were on the first floor with a gorgeous vista overlooking the lovely well kept gardens... the room is so big & spacious, the patio doors open the length of the wall and are perfect place to dry washing as the patio is covered. A kettle, fridge, slippers, beach towel, dressing gown, TV & free internet in the room was handy for the many rainy times! All very positive - reason for the 4 & not a 5 was we could have done with some mossy screens for the evening & the bed was so uncomfortable, our big bed was two smaller beds pushed together and then turned around...the result was a hard 'dip' in the small of your back. To try and rectify this we slept lengthways one night ... then the other way the 3rd night and reverting back the last night! ..... bear in mind this might only have been our room ..... other rooms mightn't have the same bed. Keeping such large gardens so pretty, the rawai grands dedicated team should be proud... & that swimming pool was really special, big enough for a great swim, really clean & just the right temperature. The cost to stay here was minimal & great value.

- mark (4/5): beds terrible.shower terrible - Shower not cleaned properly. Beds were rock hard. No hot water until we finally saw a staff member to tell. Breakfast extremely poor. Fresh fruit not fresh, cold coffee and tea. staff didn't understand when we ordered breakfast didn't understand any English.. No staff around during day at pool bar to buy a drink or food. staff were playing badminton in afternoons! Pool was dangerous broken tiles, broken steps to get in pool. Sauna locked and said we must pay extra to use. Gym was the same. No lift,had to climb stairs to get to room.
- david (2/5): Horrible customer care! - We were told that the hotel is in patong. It is quite far. We asked for a refund and were told by fon that a refund was possible if Expedia agreed. While on the phone with Expedia, she calls her manager, who says "no refund". She would not let me speak to a manager, since she was on holiday until Monday (same person she just spoke to!). Expedia agents tried and tried and they would not budge.... saying it's a holiday weekend (there were only about four or five couples seen). We decided to lose money and leave. All we needed was a taxi. The taxi took 35 min to come, tried overcharging, and kicked us out. Interestingly enough, when we asked for another taxi, she contacted the same driver. That driver never showed. I hope no one wastes their money at this hotel, where a positive client relations does not exist.

- davidbS3973IR (6/5): Rough with the smooth - I read some of the other comments made by travellers, and I have to say a particular lady from San Jose took a very narrow minded approach to the local beaches, stating they were "full of Europeans"!!! This is what happens when you travel, you meet different people and cultures, if that's not for you then stay at home, simple!! Right rant over onto the RGH. It's true they take 3000bht as deposit, you do get this back as long as you haven't trashed the room, so just budget for this. Despite other comments we found staff helpful and friendly. They provide a free shuttle bus to Nai Harn Beach, timetable in reception, driver punctual and quick. NHB is the beach to go to, it has a great market, beach is busy but as stated this is travelling not a private getaway. Lady on reception also serves breakfast and cleans room, which are cleaned regularly and to a good standard. Full fitness suite just ask for key, and pool/bar. All needs a bit of attention, and their could be more loungers by the pool but definitely a positive and not negative. Food at the RGH is generally poor and over priced, go else where. Rawai beach has a great fish market, where you buy your fish and have it cooked in one of the restaurants opposite, this is a must. Our room was big and spacious, negatives being a hard bed, loose fixtures and shocking wifi. The farm over the road makes for an unwanted alarm as well, in the form of cockerel and dogs. Would I stay here again..... I would explore other options, but would consider if bookings dictated.

No towels. One roll of toilet paper sitting on counter. No mini-bar. Phone doesn't work. Faux wood flooring, dinged up furniture. Daily fee to used pool. Pool is not picture listed on Expedia. Daily fee to use gym.

- Astroburn79 (8/5): Out of sight but just right - The hotel is tucked into a villa complex a few twists and turns off the main Street in Rawai. This means it is close enough that you can walk to most places of interest and the beach if you want but also far enough that you are not bugged by the bars, restaurants and revelers. The rooms are spacious and clean. The quality of the finishings and furnishings are high. The hotel also provides shuttles to the nearby beach which is very good. Staff are friendly and helpful despite some language barriers.

The receptionist wasn't very accomodating! I wouldn't book tour nor shuttle with him. He jacked up the price for his own interest!
- Brandon (10/5): First Time To Phuket - We stayed at this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The stay was incredibly friendly. The grounds were clean and nice. The restaurant by the pool was affordable and offered a good selection. The staff provided a short shuttle to and from the beach throughout the day. The room was clean, spacious and the A/C worked amazing. Markets, pharmacies and a few restaurants were just a short walk away.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to the beach and kite surfing - This hotel was close to food, the beach, and kite surfing, which was our purpose on the island. We were not that far from a bunch of things, like Big Buddha, and a bunch of markets. We did rent a scooter, which is highly recommended.

- Grant (8/5): Great stay - I stayed at this hotel in May 2015 and enjoyed my stay .The staff were friendly and very helpful .It is quiet and out the way about 5 minutes walk from Rawai foreshore .After reading reviews about it being hard to find I did a google earth search and after that it was a breeze to find .I will stay again.
- ianr837 (8/5): Great for large families - Ok so here is the thing, you have three kids, need space and room to swing a cat! Well this place comes up trumps for the price and service. We paid about 4000 baht a night for a very large and modern 3 bedroom apartment with 3 huge double bedrooms. Breakfast included and a very decent pool. You'll need transport as it is slightly off the beach and nestled in between Rawai and Nai Harn but it is a really good place for families, as we know it is a nightmare finding places for 5 people.
- Bjaddni (10/5): Great Value hotel - I stayed in this hotel for 2 days, this hotel surpized me with just how well set up it is, the rooms are extremely nice and the facilities are top knotch for the price it is hard to beat. the location is a bit away from the beach, and becasue of a lack of a road leading directly to the beach. a motorbike rental is probably due.
- Ninjahuse (8/5): Best hotel in our travel - I traveled all over Asia for a full month and it was the best hotel we stayed in. I did pay a little bit more for a better room, but so glad that we did. The room was clean & big. The staff was friendly & helpful. We got to meet the owner Mr. Ko. He was friendly and welcoming. Beside the 5 minutes walk from the beach, it was perfect. Also, the best place to eat is Nikita, right on the beach & please do yourself as favorite and stop thinking that Pad Thai is a real Thai food. For goodness people, you are on Thailand. You should try real Thai food. Peace & we will stay there again anytime.
- CaptainBasu (8/5): A beautifully relaxing stay at Phuket - We spent a few leisure days at this hotel near the isolated beach of Rawai. If you are in Phuket with a lot of plans and short tine, the Rawai grand house would probably cost you more beacuse of its distance from most commonly visited places like Patong beach, airport or Phuket town. Taxi fare is between 800 to 1000 baht to almost anywhere. However this place has its beauty with amaxing beach restaurants and its proximity to Promthep Cape where you should not miss "The best sunset in Thailand" as described by locals. The hotel itself is very elegant and stylish with lavishly huge studio apartments, a great pool and tasty food at the restaurant. Our room had a fantastic view of the hills, which is not there from most other rooms. The hotel arranges for drop at the airport for 1000 baht which is the least you can arrange locally. If you are here, plan local tours to nearby islands like Bon island or Coral island with the long tail boat crew along the beach. If booking other trips to Phi phi, Phang Nga, etc. be sure it has pickup and drop to hotel included, otherwise it will cost you dearly. Otherwise simply enjoy the hotel for a few quiet days by yourself with evening visits to Promthep cape and you will have the time of your life. Choose a west facing room on 2nd floor for a view. Rooms 309, 310 are great choices.

- Jessica1515 (6/5): I would skip - I would skip this hotel. To illustrate why, I have listed out the pros and cons I found. Pros: Lovely rooms. Cons: Service at the hotel is not good. Staff makes minimal effort to speak English and be helpful. Manager was not exactly pleasant. While they offer "free" breakfast, it is limited to 200 baht, and pretty much everything on the menu costs 200 baht, making it not free, just slightly less. Hotel location is just meh, you can walk to downtown Rawai, beach there not for swimming, or can take a shuttle or tuk tuk to the beach, which is far and was full with mostly European families. Hotel is not really hotel, but situated in apartment complex. Nothing to do outside your room. Safe in room was locked with no instructions for opening. Lighting in rooms not good. Awkward atmosphere prevailed. Construction right next door with all the noise that accompanies it starting very early in the morning. Beds not good, although typical for Thailand. Looking at the above list, it is clear which side of the argument weighs heavier. With all of the other options in Rawai, I would book elsewhere.
- dimitri (8/5): comfortable staying at grand rawai house - overall fantastic, few little things were less as expected, but a quick modification of issue followed, and all clear, of course try to understand, this is thailand, and not everything is taken as serious. but comparing with other offers ,it was just great.
- Nabsy (6/5): Unusual hotel - Less than 10 min walk to the shore and the the fish market,yet in a very quiet location away from the Main Street noise.the hotel is located in a gated area with several luxurious villas under its management.receptionist was very helpful and cheerful.While we were there (5nights) the TV had only Russian Channels (apparently there was something wrong with the reception box).the hotel offer a shuttle service to the beautiful Nai Harn beach.
- Richard (4/5): Steer clear - I read several reviews on this hotel before I booked, & I thought that those that had given negative reviews may have just been a bit hard to please. How wrong was I. The resort itself could be very nice, possibly even first class, but to get there they need new staff (& probably new management/owners) & a fair bit of finishing off to some areas of the resort. Besides the poor evasive unhelpful staff another thing that stuck in my neck was the fact that we were supposed to have had a free breakfast included in the deal, & a massage. The breakfast was rubbish & what was included was a credit of 150 baht/person/day, which even my kids exceeded every day. While on that the menu had no fruit options at all, & if you don't like eggs you will be in trouble. I didn't even enquire about the massages (along with many other matters) as the staff would have you think that they didn't understand you (but they did!!), which made it very difficult to communicate with them. I suppose achieving the desired result for them, less work! The poor verbal communication was followed up with no menus, details of resort facilities, etc, etc. Both in the so called restaurant & our room. About the only details provided was a 3 page list of what things cost if you break or steal them, right down to each glass!! If you speak Thai fluently, don't mind a bit of dirt & mould here & there, don't want to eat in the resort & like being surrounded by poverty this is probably the place for you.

- 386JulieW (6/5): Terrible for families. - This is not a hotel. It's an apartment complex that's rented out to tourists. There is a nice pool (though small) and a gym but other than that, there is really no place to go outside your room. There is the small road into the property and that's it. We couldn't even find a patch of ground to kick a ball around. The skeletal staff are locals hired to do simple jobs but they have no real training in customer service and it really shows. We made repeated requests for things to be fixed and they would say, "Yes, yes" but then never followed up or took action. The apartment was enormous, much more room than we actually needed and though it had many nice features, there were a lot of little things wrong with it that were very annoying. Firstly, the air conditioning in the main room was not sufficient to actually cool it. While the bedrooms were nice and cool, the main room (which is very large) never really got below 85 degrees as it was very warm the week we were there (about 95 high). We asked for but never received a baby crib. The safe didn't work. The small window with fan attached in one of the bathrooms was stuck open. There were tiny little ants streaming around, especially in the kitchen area. We asked many times for these items to be rectified and we were told several times, "We'll send somebody up." But we waited and no one ever came. Other annoying things: 1) Shuttle we arranged through the hotel asked to be paid in cash though we were not informed of this prior to arrival. 2) Rawai requires a fairly large cash deposit. 3) Rawai Beach is not conveniently located. If you have kids, it's not realistic to think you're going to walk there with your gear, especially in the heat. It's 15 minutes just to get to the main road and another 10 minutes beyond. We got about half way and gave up and turned around. 4) Rawai is about as far as you can get from the airport. The traffic in Phuket is terrible. It took 90 minutes to get to Rawai on a Sunday night. This would be a good place to stay for friends or couples traveling together who could rent mopeds and get around town easily. If you're a family with kids, stay away. This is absolutely the worst place for you.
- 938vinayk (6/5): Nice Property but not in best part of Phuket - I made a booking at Rawai grand house thinking that it is in a quieter and nicer part of Puket but I was wrong as Rawai as an area is still evolving and is nowhere near to much established areas like Karon, Patong, Phuket Town etc. The property however was pretty nice as the rooms are pretty huge with a nice big balcony and a good view... It's within a walking distance to massage parlors and seven eleven which is handy but there aren't too many nice restaurants near by so we ended up eating at this hotel most of the times which wasn't too bad. I would recommend this property to people who are looking to be in a quiter part of Phuket town away from all the hustle bustle and looking for a long stay...
- Verified traveler (8/5): Charming location. - Hard to find in the backstreets of Rawai, but once there, it is an enchanting little neighbourhood with amazing food. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was the best I found in Thailand.

- salollo (8/5): Secluded and tranquil, huge rooms - This hotel is in a secluded area, which is what we wanted. The rooms were very generous, huge and well furnished for the price. Service was decent. The staff were friendly and attentive. A very relaxed atmosphere, no hustle and bustle. Enjoyed our stay here.

- Paula (10/5): Mother with daughters first time in Pukett - I recently stayed at this Hotel with my two teenage daughters.We all found it clean,great value for money,beautiful view,great pool and nice breakfast.It is in a nice peaceful district away from the madness of Patong which you will appreciate when you visit Patong. When one of my daughters felt ill one of the breakfast staff looked after her very well even giving her a head massage.I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who is on holiday for the place not nightlife.
- yessicav821 (2/5): reality of Rawai Grand House - service: All employees working at the reception are incredibly rude and unprofessional, including the manager. All of them should be sent to take classes of basic knowledge in service and treating customers. Daily housekeeping is until 5 pm according to the webpage, but it happened to us that we left the room at 3 pm and there was no cleaning at all until the next day - if you can really call it "housekeeping" what they do there: if you want fresh towels or bed sheets you have to tell them, otherwise you might end up one week (!!) with the old dirty ones. Same things goes with soap and sanitory paper in the bathroom. location: The hotel is absolutely horrificly located. If you want to leave the hotel walking you have to pass at least three blocks with no asphalt, no lights, especially at night, lots of garbish on the street, all kinds of more or less dangerous animals, as happened in my case, once there was a snake on the road to the hotel. Rawai beach - the only beach there - is not exactly what you would call a beach, to sunbathe or swim: it´s just a small port for fishermens boats, dirty and stinky. All the area surrounding the hotel is very dirty and there´s not much to do around there. There are very few bars and restaurants mainly frequented by some sort of "alternative persons". Additional - Warning!!!! When arriving at the hotel you need 3.000 (=80 euros) in cash as a deposit, otherwise you could be rejected to enter: first time that happened to me in my life... They say it is necessary in case you cause a damage in the room. Big warning!!! If there is a minor problem, for example you loose your room key card or you dirty a towel, bed sheet or something like that, they will charge you a fee that equals that amount of deposit. Please be very aware: in this hotel they will find some kind of minimal "damage" you caused just in order to not give you back the 3.000 Baht deposit. The hotel is very small (24 rooms), so there´s only a small restaurant with horrible food and nothing else to do. They have only 10 TV channels with most of them being Russsian, so not even TV entertainment is garanteed. All in all I would never reserve again in that hotel, not even for free and I strongly recommend to anybody out here not to go there... not even to the Rawai area: the hotel is a little bit cheaper than other places, but the difference you have to pay in taxi, for example if you want to go to more frequented places such as Nai Harn, Kata, Patong, as taxis -if available- are very expensive in that area and very abusive. - Ashleh (10/5): Great place, great time! - I just loved this place! We stayed in a superior room, and it was HUGE! Large balcony, massive bed, and a big shower. My husband loved the huge flatscreen tv also. The breakfasts were good, they gave us a 140 baht coupon which was fine as you can get an American Breakfast (eggs your way, bacon, ham, toast, and a tea or coffee) for 118 baht. Not a buffet no, but it was still good. The breakfast opens at 7:15am but every time we went there at 7:15, they hadn't started setting up yet, and when you have tours booked and are due to be picked up at 7:45am you might be a little rushed. If you would rather go elsewhere, there's a lot of nice restaurants on the main road (we walked the "dirt path" and didn't have ANY problems with humans, dogs or any other creatures and found it incredibly safe) and a place called Coconut's that does a big breakfast for less than 200 baht. There is a lack of English but we found that to be everywhere in Thailand. Housekeeper left our sliding door unlocked and open everyday, and as we were on the ground floor, we were not impressed. She also kept forgetting to restock the mini bar. Laundry is overpriced, 25 baht just for a shirt. Take it to the main road, there's a place next to SCB Bank and Laguna Nightclub that will do it for 50 baht a kg. We also didn't mind that it was set back from the beach, as we did tours most of the time and aren't really beach bums. You can always rent a scooter for 300 baht a day and go to the various beaches yourself.
- greencrystalline (6/5): Ok, but nothing special - We stayed at Grand Rawai House for 1 week, we had a 3-bedroom apartment. The rooms were super-clean, just impeccable, even no sign of dust. The apartment is spacious, but be wary, it's still different from the website picture. The bathroom had good water flow, which is valued in Thailand. Breakfast is not included, you get an 120 coupon to order from the regular menu. If you exceed those 120 baht (which you will anyway, given the prices), you have to pay extra. One day we ended with a 800 bill for breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child. The worst and most ridiculous part of our stay was a 1000 !!! baht charge (more than 30 USD for a broken key card). Absurd! Staff are friendly. Restaurant OK, but most of Thai food had too much soya sauce, which made it way too salty. Tom Yum was very good though. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, and can be accessed via a long dirt track, which has no lights in dark hours, so don't try walking! The neighboring houses have many dogs, whom you wouldn't want to meet. The beach is not very far, but since Rawai is a harbor, not a swimming beach, you'll need to find transportation to Nai Harn. The hotel runs a shuttle bus service. Overall - OK, but wouldn't recommend or come again. Sorry.

- faical_elkrari (10/5): Couldn't have find a better place to stay - We spent our honeymoon in Thailand, including a week at the Rawai Grand House in Phuket : Commodious room, lovely staff, free wifi, free shuttle to the beach ... A decidedly very friendly establishment. We shared our stay mainly between organized excursions and time at the beach. If we are lucky to see Phuket again, we'll assuredly be back at the RGH.
- webby34 (8/5): Loved this place! - What a little gem this place is. We were more than shocked when we got to our room on the 1st day. £20 a night we paid and it was excellent for it. The room was spotless. contemporary in design with a queen size bed, Large flat screen TV. Mini-bar. Large comfortable sofa. Wet room. And huge balcony with beautiful views. The hotel is set back off the main rawai Beach road, down what can only be described as a dirt track but it was only a 5 minute walk to places like Sunshine Bar and Nikitas so it wasn't such a pain. Here's a warning though. The front door opens outward. Not good when you've been on the Singha. I took a 'wrong-turn' one night whilst fumbling around in the dark trying to find the toilet and ended up out on the balcony. Pretty funny really but it could of been a lot more embarrassing. Haha. The hotel staff were more than courteous and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Beautiful Grounds with a very nice, warm Swimming pool right next to the bar/restaurant which was just as cheap and nice as anywhere in Rawai . We absolutely loved this place and Rawai beach and if we were to go back to Phuket We'd definitely stay longer in Rawai Beach (we split our time between Rawai, Kata, Karon and Patong) It just had such a more welcoming, village type vibe were you felt like one of the family. Loved it loved it loved . GET THERE!!! and stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Hotel location in very good place 500 m from the Rawai beach, the territory of very tidy. Free wi-fi, transfer airport-hotel-airport free, free car to the beach Nai Harn. If I go back to Phuket, I will stop only at this hotel
- g_to_the_bo (8/5): Lovely staff - I stayed here for 3 weeks and enjoyed it. The staff were lovely and were always on hand to help out - especially when I was sick. Pity the hotel is a couple of blocks back from Rawaii beach..
