Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): Back at soonest opportunity - Everything
Lovely room lovely bar/restaurant
Lovely bed room / room
Great shower room
Bonus A great/fantastic church next door
Reminds me of the Ken Follet books … There is nothing not to like
- Gillian (9/5): - The staff, the food Teeny shower. Water stains on bathroom walls
- Rob (9/5): -
- Peter (10/5): - Very good attentive stagf Nothing very good
- Matt (9/5): Great stay - would definitely visit again! - Food was excellent, staff were helpful and attentive The hotel is very much on its own - you can’t get anywhere without a car, not necessarily a negative, but something to be aware of.
- Laraine (10/5): A cosy overnight stay with amazing food and service. Would recommend. - Quaint little property close to Norfolk coast. Staff were superb. Food was excellent, we had 7 course tasting menu and it was a dining experience and each course stunning. The breakfast the following morning was excellent. The room we had in the coach house was small but cosy and comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired and could do with a freshen up. The shower cubicle tiny, I’m 5ft 10 and husband 6ft and we found it tiny. You could not turn the shower temperature down to cold and the shower head needs replacing as lots of hard water stains and blockages where water sprays outs. Nicely decorated and comfy bed.
- Powell (10/5): Excellent - The food staff and room were excellent, second time we have stayed here and will definitely be booking to stay again Nothing can't fault anything
- Judith (9/5): - Very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Thank you
- Swanson (10/5): Perfect for any occasion, special or otherwise. - The location, the food was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Alison (10/5): My 2 night stay as special as the wedding i attended - Location determined by being close to Waxford barn wedding venue.
It was a beautiful place to stay. Lots of nice touches. The accommodation and food top class. And felt very safe as a single woman.
Food incredible Nothing
- samantha (10/5): The food/dining experience was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and freindly. - whole dining experience was superb and breakfast was equally as good as the dinner. Location was very good. There was nothing that we did not like about our stay.
- T (10/5): Brilliant one night stay for special occasions - Exceptional tasting menu - all courses! Lovely atmosphere, great staff and the chef's food was awesome.

- Minnie (9/5): Fantastic food and cosy place to stay - Fantastic food -did not disappoint! Unfortunately we booked that last available room which was very small
- Beth (10/5): Fabulously relaxing - Beautiful property. The food was outstanding and very helpful staff.
- John (9/5): Lovely spot for a break , comfortable with excellent food and attentive service . - Very comfortable rooms well furnished with good style . Close to the road but not noisy whatsoever . Food was very good with lots of choice both for dinner and breakfast . I would definitely return again if in the region . Not much really .
- Denise (9/5): Great, friendly staff, comfortable and clean and excellent food. - Food quality is excellent. Also had dinner there and was first class. Lots of variety and quality superb
- Fay (7/5): -
- Alan (8/5): Food was very good bathroom needs attention - Breakfast was excellent Bathroom need to be cleaner shower to small sink plug needs replacing
- Jimmy (9/5): Night stay - What a fantastic stay in such a beautiful pub with the room and the fantastic deco.
The staff was polite and breakfast was tremendous definitely stay again as we didn't get chance to try the superb evening menu Absolutely nothing
- Rita (9/5): - Food , room , staff and location excellent
- Gavin (9/5): -
- Denise (8/5): Ingham Swan - The breakfast was super. Holly was very friendly and helpful. The location for us, was great. The size of our room. The sloping roof was a bit of a problem, as was the bed set against a wall.
- Kerri (9/5): Excellent food, location and friendly staff - Staff were friendly, food was excellent, location is perfect and the room was a good size with good amenities. The mattress was too soft but that’s personal choice.
- martin (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Enjoyable overall but attention to detail in the rooms needed - Excellent food and restaurant
Staff first class, helpful friendly and efficient Room a bit basic for the price
- ian (10/5): -

- Christopher (10/5): The most perfect place to stay - The Ingham Swan is a tranquil oasis offering very comfortable rooms, outstanding food and wine and wonderful service. Nothing
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Great location, really nice rooms, excellent food.
- Diana (9/5): Superb - Ideal location for the event I was attending. Great breakfast.
Comfortable and a great night’s sleep.
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Pauline (10/5): We recommend your hotel. It was perfect. - Evening meal was just superb, breakfast how lovely I didn't have to serve myself from a buffet. Seapalling was a real treat to find, our visit gave us a little luxury in the event
of loosing a family member. There are no dislikes.
- Highweldon (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (9/5): We had a wonderful stay, thank you. - The staff were attentive at all times and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent but for a disabled person like me, the portions were too big. Chefs were accommodating and they even halved a main course so we could enjoy a delicious steak.22 2 little snags (constructive criticism)
In the shower an extra shelf would be useful. I'm in my late seventies and I had to put my toiletries on the floor , therefore hoping the bending down I won't overbalance.
It would be useful to have a heavy duty plastic breaker to put toothbrushes in.
Please can someone look at the TV aerial? No signal from 6 pm each evening.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (6/5): Very pleasant but expensive for what it is. The room with breakfast should be £50 cheaper - Very clean and bed was comfy The room was very small and very hot. A double bed is pushed into the corner so that I had to literally climb in and out and there was a chair at the end of the bed making it hard to get out without disturbing my partner. The chair could have been moved of course, but there wasn't really anywhere to put it with our suitcase on the floor and without then blocking my hsuband's path. Lovely breakfast though.
- Sam (7/5): Over-priced - Staff, food, restaurant all brilliant We booked a "cottage" however we had a room above us and you could hear footsteps constantly. We weren't warned about this.
Lots of flies inside the restaurant and out were a little off-putting..no obvious effort to remove/reduce.
The optional supplementary menus items were rather overpriced and given the cost of the taster menu and the stay in general, I felt they should have been included.
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jess (5/5): Passable -
- Sue (8/5): Very good -
- Carol (9/5): very pleasant stay - 1 night in preference to 2 - excellent staff and delicious meals using the shower soaked the whole bathroom floor! I thought it was in a village that we could stroll around in the evening - it wasn't.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful building, room was lovely with view of church and the food was sublime. Holly in particular looked after us very well. Nothing not to like.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Lynda (8/5): Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay here. The food was excellent and would recommend the taster menu - Warm cosy restaurant, old worldly and nice decor. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The double bed was small for our liking. Would prefer a kingsize. The en suite was very small, particularly the shower cubical where there was barely enough space to run round
- Adam (10/5): Brilliant staff, lovely room and food - The service was amazing, very accommodating. Food was very good too
- Michelle (9/5): Romantic one night getaway - Lovely cottage room for a one night getaway. Great value with the breakfast and 7 course taster evening meal. The only draw back is needing to walk on the road in between the cottage and the restaurant. It wasn’t very far but might not be ideal for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues.
- Julie (10/5): Perfect location to celebrate my birthday, trying for the first time the amazing 7 course taster menu with wine accompan - Delightful place, convenient parking, welcoming friendly greeting, nice room, amazing 7 course dining experience, great nights sleep all finished off with a perfect breakfast.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): We would recommend to others & return ourselves - Excellent Room sound proofing wasn’t great. We could hear the couple below talking.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (6/5): Pleasant -
- Christopher (9/5): Comfortable 2 night stay. Lovely breakfasts! - Nice clean, comfortable room
- Markierobbo (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place and great staff. Great breakfast, didn't have evening meal. Neat, tidy, comfortable rooms and very friendly, attentive staff. Quite expensive.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful place to stay. Clean warm room with comfortable bed and lovely ensuite. Dinner was delicious and breakfast very good and plentiful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying and eating here.
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional dining experience in a beautiful part of Norfolk. - The food was exceptional - we had the 7 course taster dinner as a treat for our wedding anniversary which was fantastic. They responded very professionally to my bivalve allergy and provided a modified fish course for me. Breakfast was also very good. Our room was large, very comfortable bed, very nicely furnished. Nothing
- Laura (10/5): Lovely Stay, will be recommending. - Stayed for the taster menu - which was absolutely superb.
Breakfast was just as good - loved the added touches of the pastries. Walking along the dangerous bend in the road from the cottages to get access into the Bar, but I guess not much can be done.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gwen (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- Kaz (10/5): Exceptional - Outstanding
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Miles (9/5): Despite the above we did enjoy it - Breakfast was excellent The fact that the bed was up against the wall.
Paying a supplement for cheese and finally a service charge which I thought was excessive
- Jimmy (10/5): One of the best pubs I've stayed in - Friendly welcome, well-appointed room, very comfortable bed, freshly cooked breakfast, efficient service.
- Michael (10/5): Would certainly return - A good sized, clean comfortable room with everything you needed in a quiet location.
Lovely hot shower and generous sized towels.
Superb cooked breakfast. Nothing
- Roy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Fabulous 21st anniversary present - Room and the breakfast 💗 Nothing, it was all amazing
- Dave (8/5): Very good - Quaint rooms and setting. Although reasonable the standard of food varied between excellent on the first night and good on the second night, this was also the case for breakfast.
- Helen (7/5): Glorious - Quaint. Clean. Lovely touches. Excellent food. Staff super. Bed small for a double. Quite small room.
- Carl (10/5): Exceptional - Also ate on the restaurant, food and staff were amazing 👍
- Amy (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Highly recommend! - Such a beautiful place to stay and the dinner was amazing! Not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for and the portion sizes were decent. Tiny minor - would’ve been nice to have a shower cap in the bathroom. I forgot mine. Also no hairdryer but nevermind, still a wonderful stay.
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Georgie (5/5): Passable - Great food Our room was very dark and cramped. My tall partner could t stand up in it
- Barry (8/5): Lovely comfortable and clean room - A lovely place to stay and eat for a special occasion. Great food and staff the were fantastic. It might have been better with a couple less tables in the restaurant, as it felt a little cramped.
- Catriona (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (10/5): Excellent stay - Served excellent food We were fully satisfied with everything.
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Heptinstall (7/5): Very pleasant - Stayed in cottage. Stylish room, plenty of space and a good shower.
Good level of cleanliness.
Well service during our short stay. Smelly drains, mattress too soft for us and the neighbours dogs barked intermittently throughout the night.
Road noisier than we expected with window open .
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed our stay and will be back
- Alison (6/5): Gone downhill since last we stayed. Wont be going back. - Well situated for where we wanted to visit
Very attentive staff Food not as good as on previous visit. Very limited choice unless eating a la carte ( very expensive). Lots of cheese- my husband is allergic to cheese which we told them on booking..
Bathroom very cramped. WIFI unreliable at best. When we stayed a customer left dog in car while in restaurant and it barked under our window from 9pm until gone midnight. After closing the rubbish was taken out to the bins very noisily.
- Jill (8/5): Very pleasant - Excellent breakfast More ventilation in first night when the room was stuffy.
- Javier (8/5): Very clean and comfortable, but a little pricey - Very friendly and helpful staff A little pricey
- John (6/5): Overpriced b and b . We had to pay £20 each for breakfast unexpectedly. - Very good restaurant, historic property and good location. Modest pokey rooms, no staff on site.
- Tracey (4/5): Wouldn’t stay here again - Stunning location, restaurant second to none! The room was very small, couldn’t turn round in the shower, no room or shelving in the bathroom to leave a toiletry bag or anywhere to put your shower gel whilst showering. For the money, I think the room was poor, good quality, but no thought for essentials
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (6/5): Amazing restaurant and food - The staff and food were both excellent. the room was a little small for the cost and was very warm so we didnt sleep very well the very low ceiling and the high temperatures - even with both windows open and the fan on it was still very hot
- Tom (10/5): Excellent restaurant with rooms in the countryside! - Superbly professional and friendly staff, beautifully decorated rooms throughout and fabulous food. Thoroughly enjoyable and would highly recommend! Thanks for a great stay!
- Alan (7/5): Good - Great location. Nice room Nothing really. But the food was overpriced.
- Victoria (9/5): great place to stay to enjoy the surrounding area and have lovely food. - It is a great location, with lovely staff and amazing food. nothing.
- Arthur (10/5): Great stat with excellent food. - Friendly and helpful staff
- Stephen (6/5): Pleasant - Would be great for one or two nights but a full week needed a bigger room as not a lot of wardrobe room for a week's clothes. As above
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
