Nicola (4/5): Poor experience - This hotel is in very poor condition and needs cleaning and refurbishing. The shower cubicle in the room was tiny and there was no indication of the hot and cold function on the shower resulting in a burn. The wash basin and door spy hole were at very odd heights so much so that I couldn’t see through the door spy hole even when standing on tiptoes! It calls itself a dog friendly hotel and charges £20 per dog supplies nothing, no water bowl or dog bed and the dog walking area at the back of the hotel is not lit so is unusable after dark. I found the staff unfriendly and disinterested. I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend.

We could not move in bed without the other bouncing everywhere, the pillows were awful too, we did not realise there were more. Having two may have helped. There was only decaf coffee in the room and no milk substitute offered. When my partner asked for oat milk in the restaurant he was questioned about taking some to the room, he then heard the chef shouting at the waitress for allowing us to take oat milk out of the restaurant. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, the chef stood glaring from the kitchen

Abbie (6/5): - Convenient for visiting local theme parks and it was good to have a range of fast food options nearby. The room was quiet and sufficient. However there was a horrible smell coming from the bathroom, there were hairs on the floor and the last persons toothpaste drips down the sink. The carpet was ripped and the pillows were uncomfortable. The paintwork was quite battered.
June (6/5): - The staff were lovely; however, I didn't feel it was good value for money. At breakfast, the server was slumped in a chair, watching TV, which was not very professional.
Christopher (6/5): - We stayed at the hotel for a week as it suited our work commitments nearby. We stayed at the same hotel 2 years previously and the lift was out of order then and that is still the case. If you are not staying on the ground floor, you will have to carry any luggage up the stairway, which has a carpet that shows more stains than carpet design. It even looks as if someone has urinated in the corner of it. The hotel is very dated and could do with a complete overhaul. However, the staff are very friendly and dealt promptly with any request. The bar tariff on display is rather dated as the prices charged were higher than advertised. We will not be returning until there has been some improvements.

Andrew (4/5): Wouldn’t recommend - The bedroom was dirty, the velvet headboard was full of dust which fell onto the soft bed. The mattress was extremely worn and as soon as you sat on it, you nearly fell off it because there were no springs left in the bed. The bathroom shower was full of mould and everything just seemed extremely worn. One of the worst nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel.

My 1 year old was sleeping on arrival so we ‘slept’ on top of the covers as I didn’t want to put him under them. Floor was mortifying. Bed side table was so thick in dust when I ran my ringer over it it created a dust cloud and the amount of dust on my finger was awful. Would not recommend. Do not waste your money

Not a good impression. Room size was standard, bed linen reasonably clean but curtains hanging off rail. Bed was OK but you rolled in to middle. Bathroom had been recently upgraded but extractor fan was covered in muck, shower track dirty, grout dirty. Lack of cleaning in some areas. I was glad only staying one night.

The shower in room 153 drained away very slowly so filled up quickly so could only have a quick rinse. The hand soap and shower gel had bare minimum in them. The pull out mattress was terribly lumpy.

When I called them and they finally answered, they lied and said police closed it and it should be open in half an hour....it was closed due to roadworks. This hotel is a disgrace to the Ramada name.

Breakfast wasn't that great everything seemed to be cold even though kept on hot plates, would suggest grabbing breakfast in the services rather than hotel. It was fairly clean a few areas missed but as we was only there for the night not a major issue. Shower screen not good water just leaked out underneath and out onto the floor
TERESA (8/5): Convenient but tired - Conveniently located 30 mins from Gatwick so ideal after a late flight. Basically a comfortable room. Disturbed at 1am by a neighbouring guest on a zoom call but not from external traffic noise. On closer inspection, the toom was in need of a deeper clean and rhe bed was not made well.

Went for a meal in the restaurant in the evening. Service was appauling. 1 person cooking and 1 serving. It took 2 hours to get our meals and each person pretty much ate their meal before they brought out the next one. Clearly cooking one meal at a time. The food was average (when it arrived). Didnt tell us it would take longer due to staffing issues and only apologised at the end. I've never had service this bad.

Arai (2/5): - Carol made me waste a lot of time and money in roaming charges by calling Expedia to request my second-day cancellation after I got stranded in London due to the airport fire and had found a flight home earlier when the whole time the hotel was going to decline it for us. Expedia called her for approval, and I couldn’t believe what they were saying after she had clearly told since I booked through a 3rd party, I walked to the lobby. It was her option the whole time, and then she was incredibly rude to us after the incredibly messed up situation I was in with 5 children and 4 adults. Comfy bed, the room was a little tired and dated and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but it was more than acceptable for a quick one night stop.
